I was sleeping in my bed when I heard some pounding around and voices, but didn't know what was going on so I stayed in bed.. But then I heard pounding at my door, so I got up and got dressed, then opened the door.. There were firefighters, and they told me to head outside.

Turns out there was a carbon monoxide leak here, and I had a number written on my hand, and they put me on oxygen and took my vitals first. Afterward they asked how I was and everything, and I was originally not going to head to the hospital, but I figured it was likely a good idea, so I had them take me.

I had an IV in my hand after they drew some blood, which was likely the strangest part for me. XD But I just kind of chilled and talked with the paramedic while we drove over there, and then they transferred me to a hospital bed for a bit and put me on more oxygen with the IV going... But after a short bit, they took my blood gas levels and found I was actually at normal thanks to the oxygen, so they discharged me, and got me a sandwich while I was waiting to see if I could get back.

They hired a taxi to get me back to the apartment once I was discharged, and when I got back here, I saw a news guy filming a story intro in front of the place. XD Thankfully they didn't interview me, since I honestly didn't want to deal with it.

So that's my day so far. XD Hopefully everything else will go smoothly, really.

EDIT: So I just answered some questions on camera.. We'll see if I make it on the news or not. XD

I've had something on my mind lately, and I wanted to make it known to everyone, so here I am. So, here goes.

As some (or many) of you may know, I get a lot of attention. Pictures, support, gifts and other sorts of things. I do appreciate all the effort and everything that gets put into anything, and I appreciate that people like me so much, but honestly, I'm not the only one that deserves everyone's attention, and am likely not the one that needs it the most.

People like my brother, Essrayle. He's honestly a really great guy, and I've known him for years, now. He's not really my biological brother, but we're close enough that it's about the same. He seems to be the brother of mine that always gets pushed aside, even by myself sometimes, sadly, but he deserves attention as much as anyone else does, and right now I'm trying to be the best brother I can for him.

And even people like Toshi, aka *Toshi21. He does get some attention, and things, but a lot of the time people don't quite get his back when he is right.

And all the other people who don't get noticed simply because they're not popular, or don't know that many people. So please, I really appreciate the attention and love and everything that I get from you all, but please, more people deserve to get it as well.

Also, to you people who I don't talk to much and others, does this not apply to you? Well, you can still do something for someone who doesn't get much attention. Give a smile, say hello, go to someone who deserves it but doesn't get much, and do something for them. Who knows, you might make someone's day.

It's certainly been an interesting year for me since I joined this place.. I've met a -lot- of new friends, to the point where almost all the people I talk to regularly are different from those before I came here XD Also, various things have happened, such as college, and various other things.. But it's certainly been fun?

Looking at my deviations.. Wow, I haven't really submitted that much, huh? Considering I've had a year to do it XD Then again, I think I originally made this account so I could comment on other people's stuff instead of actually submitting my own.. So at least I've done something X3

I also managed to get over 1700 pageviews.. How did that happen? o_O Thanks everyone for the views and for wanting to see if anything was going on! Tho that makes me wonder, should I start using the journal here more, or somewhere else? I never feel like anything I do really merits being talked about on a large scale, so I never really know XD

1.) For some reason whenever I walk up or down stairs, I always want to have the final step (i.e. reaching the ground) be with my right foot. Like, it kind of makes me shudder in a bad way if I finish with my left, and I have no idea why. I even sometimes count steps before I get there or memorise step counts so that I can manage it while not slowing things down for anyone.

2.) As far as I can tell, I'm a bit of a "linguistic chameleon." Basically, when I start talking to a single person for an extended period of time, ((Say 15 minutes)) I start picking up on their accent and speech patterns and using them subconciously, which makes me sound a little bit more like the person I'm talking to. It seems that not everyone picks up on this immediately, but it -has- happened before. Also, this counts both for RL and for over IM and in chats.

3.) I tend to thank people when they help one of my friends, even when I'm not remotely involved.. And even if the helper is one of my other friends. XD; Just ask Tek about this.

4.) Anyone who RPs with me now may or may not notice that Max kind of acts like I do offline, while Jordan acts a bit more like I'd like to just act normally.. Then again, none of you've really done any serious RP with me XD

5.) I have a bad habit of saying sorry too much, at least to people I know and talk to on a regular basis. Long story short, I kind of feel like if I apologise when something's wrong, it'll lesson my chances of offending someone and losing a friend... But it seems it annoys some people more than helps, since about 8 people don't allow me to say it to them anymore ;;

6.) I tend to feel like the worlds I see in videogames and that my friends come up with seem more interesting and like better places to live than the place I'm in now. Somehow I doubt that that's -so- strange to the people on here, but really, I'd like to visit somewhere like the Yoshi Station someday.

Well, as I was checking out a mall in downtown Seattle trying to see whether or not the f.y.e. there was going to have Wiis for sale on Sunday (They're going to have two), I stopped over at the EB Games that was in the same mall..

Much to my surprise, they had a playable Wii demo station! I watched a kid trying to play ExciteTruck on it for a few minutes, and explained to him and his mother about the Gamecube functionality, as the boy was saying that it wasn't backwards compatible (Which it is), and then checked out the remote once he was done with it; yes, this EB was making people hand over their ID in order to check out the remote, which I think was a good thing. So I picked up the controller, put my hand through the strap, and moved over to the kiosk.

It was already in the Wii menu, so I started there instead of going directly into the game. The remote works surprisingly well, so it was easy to navigate the menus and do anything that I needed.. Or at least it would have been, had my hands not been shaking a bit from being excited. The first thing I ended up doing was heading into the Mii Channel, as that was the only functional channel considering the fact that the Nintendo servers aren't running yet.

The Mii channel was very easy to use as well; I was able to easily look at different Miis that were already on the system, and managed to create my own very easily. There were many different options in terms of making a Mii, but they were very easy to use, and I made a decent-looking guy. But alas, there were no options for Yoshies; maybe in a firmware update, Nintendo?

After that, I went back to the main menu and looked at the Game Channel. It has a nice little splash screen where it has a Wii disc and a Gamecube disc floating, and once it recognises which type of disc it's loading, the proper one drops into a slot that appears, and the real splash screen for the game loads up. As moot would say, it was pretty fancy.

Once I loaded up ExciteTruck, the controls were different than in the menus. Not worse, of course; simply different as I had to hold the remote on its side. Navigating the menus was done with the d-pad and the 1 and 2 buttons on the remote, so it felt more like classic consoles. The menus were pretty slick, and I easily chose a race difficulty and a track to race on, and got ready to start.

The first thing I'll say about steering in the game is that after a small deadzone, the remote is really sensitive; you don't have to move it too much before you're careening off to the left or the right, but it's pretty easy to get used to the control scheme. The game was really fun to play as well, with boost being a large factor in the races themselves, as well as the icons you can hit on the track that create large jumps in the terrain for you to hit. I crashed a few times, but if you tap the 2 button quickly enough as it shows you your crash, you can get a boost for when you respawn on the track, which adds a bit of fun to the game even if you're messing up at first. The race itself wasn't too difficult on the easiest setting, and once I finished it, I handed back the remote and got my ID back.

All in all, it was a really fun experience for me, and now I want a Wii even more, if that's possible.

Anyway, it's my birthday today! =3 I know this will be a shock to some of the, well, 5 or so that may read this, but I didn't completely talk about it cause people have this tendency to try and get me gifts >.> So -please-, don't worry about it XD

But today and tomorrow should be fun ^^ My parents are coming up tonight and we'll hang out and I'll get gifts tonight, and then tomorrow I get to go see STOMP live and then go to Benihana's for dinner, which will be yummy~ Apart from that, I dunno if much is happening, but hey, it'll still be fun!

That's really it for now; there's not much else going on here other than that I'm levelling Sora up at the end of KHII XD I don't need to for the final boss, but I want to for sidequests 'n such *nod*
