Anyways, K-con is actually the weekend of the week I start school, so nice! its labor day weekend, same weekend as PAX, so meh. I'm going as gokudera TYL and szayel for it

~Olympic-Cosplay , our bigger cosplay group, will be hosting the pictures from Sakura-Con.
The Link costumes turned out fantastically. We still have some kinks to work out, and stuff to do, chainmail to find/buy ( ;.; if you know where to get good chainmail at inexpensive prices, please tell me. I need a long-ish shirt in bronze-brown and silver), riding boots to get, and colors to work with, but we were complimented quite a bit. So I'm happy.
I ended up wearing Nadia twice. First time was friday, for a group. Then I did it today because my friend (who I only got to see for a few minutes Dx) wanted to see me half-naked.

I can't think of much else to say... I hung out with some people this weekend, but honestly: I miss my small cons. Aki-con, I think, is my favorite con. I met some awesome people there, and...well, you can MEET people there. S-Con has just gotten really big..it's not as personal anymore. It's more of a contest.

But anyways, it was fun.

OH, the masquerade.
I danced with this one L, he was really cool. I'm almost a little embarrassed typing this, but its not like he'll even be looking to talk to me ever again anyways P:
The raves were fun too, but the beats got so. damn. slow. Smile.dk, you rock, but...I really want my fast beats. And all minors could only stay for them. I never got to see Jiminy Cricket (sp on her name?) so that was sad.
Can't wait til I'm 18 and don't have to have the parentals want us to go to the hotel at 1 am xDDD

Just incase you haven't already heard everyone else talking about this, I'm part of a cosplay group called "Olympic Cosplay". It's a great group, I encourage people to join, even if you don't live in Washington. I think. Right? I dunno. Just note them or something. (lol, I should know this much....)
They are also holding a contest right now, open for club and non-club members. It's pretty simple, just draw a body for our mascot, Tab. I'm not linking to him, because I don't feel like it.
If you win the contest you get some cool prizes that are actually worth money. At least one of them is. Wow, I'm a big downer, but hell, I'm promoting!

DAMMIT I WANT TO MAKE MY NADIA COSPLAY. ROAAAR

Uh, I really should make a cosplaylab + cosplay.com account XD But I need pics of my Anita cosplay. Good thing I still have her junk. I need pics of my Ichigo (TMM) cosplay too, but that doesn't fit me very well, but we'll see if we can readjust it :3

Sakura-con seems to be coming reaaally near. Dx I'm not sure how I'm going to pull it off, but we (mousy and I) are doing some very detailed Link/Shadow Link cosplays that need to be finished before D-day (S-con).

Here's the tiny cosplay list for Sakura-con:

I wish I knew her name xD;;; And then there was L and Light... and, and... that one girl who was tall and made funny faces on the cell phone... and...and... the girl in the white outfit thingy who had to wait forever for an elevator... and.... annnd... the shirt lady who I talked toooo..... aaaaand... and... and... OH DUH.

Recently I've been feeling so uninspired. Not really an artblock, just... I feel inferior to everyone around me. But I'm just not gonna care, I'm just gonna draw!


A few days ago I was walking through an art gallery. On the wall there was the most beautiful piece of art. It was so simple looking. But it had details in every milicentimeter of it. Just like life, you know? It's just so simple, but we take it all for granted, eh? Like a street. It's so detailed and we don't even notice it.

I think that describes how a person is, too. I'm not as boring as I think I am. I'm just detailed.

I went as Ashley most of the weekend. : D;;; the complicated thing was that we had it all scheduled for what costumes which day, but then RE was switched to Friday and...we kinda stuck with it. Our Leon and I switched costumes once, so he roamed in a skirt for a while. I was Temari was a bit of Saturday, but otherwise I was Ashley.

The evil blazers. We didn't even wear them...

My Pet Peeve with showing people to their seats: When the person at the seat at the end of the row puts their arm on the armrest so I can't see the letter, so I have to ASK them to move their arm for a second.

But, overall, it was A LOT of fun.

It WAS New Years though. So, the complication with New Years is--alcohol was allowed in the theater, and food.

Ushers and other volunteers/employees clean after this.

messy.

Incredibly disgusting.

Ugh.

Okay, so picking up the stuff wasn't AS bad, but I have 2 pet peeves about this one:

1. People. Should. Pick. Up. Their. Trash. At. All. Times. NO EXCUSES. Unless you are almost dead or you NEED to get somewhere so bad that you practically have to apparate there, pick up your damn trash!

2. When some, or one, volunteers or employees don't clean, but the rest of them do. This man was talking to these two ladies and didn't clean at all, while I was practically risking my LIFE near the balcony. (I have a problem with balconies, edges, etc. because I always feel the need to jump on it and jump the whole way down when I am next to it.) Oh, wait. Sorry, he DID pick up three things. That were his own. Damn good way to be considerate of pet-peeve 1.
