Due to the agreement between Vivendi and Phoenix Online Studios (POS), the phrase “KQIX” can no longer exist. Thus, POS has opened a new site on DA, The Silver Lining [link] We will continue any updates there. //King's Quest IX: Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining Info//

There are two main objectives behind King's Quest IX: Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining, the first is to bring the genre of adventure gaming back to its roots while giving it an overhaul of new elements such as the contemporary graphic format and more attention given to plot rather than random 'pixel hunting'. With a small number of exceptions, most recent adventure games have failed to come up with the goods when compared to the benchmark set by the earlier classics of the genre and with King’s Quest IX we plan to rectify that.

The other main objective was to create a community for our fellow adventure gamers where they can be given what they miss from the golden days and provide a space where they do not feel so isolated from the current trends of the gaming industry.

Our website [link] illustrates this goal by the considerable amount of fan based interaction found on it, such as the forum [link] , flash games [link] , contests [link] , as well as the people involved on the development and some supportive friends, which can be found at the team section on KQIX album and fannatic [link] and the journal [link] that also shows inside news and reports about the development.
