So I was in this at AkiCon 2009 and it was SO MUCH FUN--I got to go up twice and I was totally loving my life. <3 My favorite part was when a girl asked me to take her place since she was busy recording and when I asked the audience if it was okay, they all cheered really, really loudly. 8DDDDD They liked me!!! Neuro has shot to the top of my cosplays-to-do-list and I am damn-well determined to have him done for next SakuraCon, where I hope to have a skit all planned out and ready (I've already thought it up and am busy writing an exact script). It should be funny, but true to its parent anime, too.

God, I'm never going to use them, but they're SO EFFKING ADORABLE OMG.

It's just that Sai can change his whole body. After watching his mother brutally murdered (spraying blood all over the wall) Sai had happen to him what happened to Dexter--he went in-freaking-sane and felt a need to kill people. The red box thing is probably because she was crushed like he was ((OMG taht was terrible DDDDD8)) resulting in a square of meat ((eww)) and a lot of blood all over the place. Otousan, who had been chased out, went back to Japan and got happily married to Yako no Okaasan, and had Yako. Sai, a crazy psycho-murderer like my beloved Dexter ( <3 ) ends up killing Yako no Otousan much like his mother was killed, in his pain and horror and crazy-ness at the death of his mother and the "abandonment" of his father. Sad face.

So... day 1!!!! 8DDDDD It is now 3:54 p.m. and the end of the first Write-in. 8DDDD Quite a few people were here... it was a lot of fun!!! 8DDDD I've actually lost most of my momentum for this story (LOLLLLLL) but I'm going to plug away anyway. DDDDDX

I managed to write 3,310 words between 12:00 p.m. and about 3:30 p.m. LOL So that was all of chapter 1 minus a description of scarecrows I'm going to have to try and throw in there tomorrow. LOLOLOLOL XDDDD The beginning of the chapter was actually something I typed up on the 28th or so--in order to make it count for NaNo, I retyped it instead of copy-pasting. XDDDDDD

So... yeah! Just like the Undertaker thingy-ma-jig, it managed to totally NOT accomplish anything I wanted it to do. UUUUUUGH. TT_TT Whatever. Chapter 2 tomorrow!!!!!

I'm going to be doing NaNoWriMo this year, and I think I've decided on an idea.

Here's a quick, very messy description I of it I posted in the NaNo forums:

" I actually came up with another idea that I think I might implement, and that'll be a lot of fun. It's a fantasy, and the main character is a scarecrow named Alice. In Alice's world, EVERYONE is a farmer (just about) or is a royal or a bandit. Scarecrows are created by men (or women, I guess) to protect crops and families--they are masters at combat and often in charge of fighting off bandits.
The last Scarecrow made by the most famous scarecrow-maker in the world, Alice has sworn himself to becoming the greatest and most famous scarecrow of all time. One night his farm gets attacked by bandits and, through sheer numbers, gets defeated and later found by White, the current most famous scarecrow and most powerful. White ends up taking Alice to an academy of sorts for Scarecrows, where they can learn to become better so they can protect people.
The main conflict comes when strange creatures start appearing--beings made from parts of animals and parts of dead humans. The humans are using homunculi now instead of scarecrows. I'm not sure how that bit becomes plot. But it will. 'cause I'm clever. 8DDDD I have a general idea for an ending, so... <3 Wish me luck. XDDDD I'll have a picture of Alice up soon.

Ayanami, Kuroyuri, Shades.... <3 <3 <3 <3 Seriously, the Black Hawks were just KILLING in this episode. <3 (except for the guy who looks like Teito no Odousan, who was kind of lame as hell. :/ [However, the bishop he fought against was freaking COOL AS ALL HELL

The bishops were a little not bad-ass this time around, but that's okay--I'm sure they're going to go Super Saiyan on their asses soon. 8DDDDDDD

I think I was the most impressed with Ayanami, and Shades and his mini-me (I really ought to learn their names. ;____

Isn't Shades Hyuuga or something? Oh well--Shades sounds so much more bad-ass anyway. 8DDDDDD Hyuuga and Mou Hitori no Hyuuga (LOLLLLL Yu-Gi-Oh! reference FTW in America) were totally kicking butt with their combo attack. <3 Water + fire + swords = FEAR US

They even sent Labrador reeling (a;dfkajhd;lkafdOMFG NOT LABRADOR-CHAMAAAAAA! [I don't know if that means what I think it means so I probably shouldn't use it LOLLLLLL] ) 8DDDDDDD (in a: "ho shit that's really bad" kind of way) Plus, they're so cute how they take nothing seriously. <3 I've never seen little vein marks on a character during an intense fight scene before. XDDDDDD

But Ayanami.... HOOOOOO shit, he totally stole the show. First off, everything ABOUT him is bad-ass. I mean... HELL!!! He's VERLOREN!!!! (not entirely confirmed in the anime but PUH-LEEZE) When he reached into Teito's chest.... XDDDDDD Bad-ass. And when his arm flew off and then regrew I was nearly in hysterics I was laughing so hard at the general bad-assery.

Seriously. Best episode since 20. <3 Totally made up for the dissapointing I'm-Off-to-Be-a-Bishop near filler-ish episodes Orz||||||

As you can tell, I have a LOT of YGO fanart flooding in. <3 This is because I've been watching YGO and YGOTAS non-stop for two days, and have also been playing around colored pencils. For some reason I decided to try using them again.... I did it on one picture and I liked how it looked, so I figured I'd use them some more on some other little pictures. Enter "Kaiba Wins!". I then went crazy and have been drawing YGO fan-art like a mad woman. @______@ So expect more. 8DDDDDD

What I'm uploading now are actually edited photos from phone. XDDDDD So... that's why they aren't super special awesome quality. :/ I have more to take pics of and edit, so expect about 3/4 more in a couple minutes. :3

I can NOT get enough of drawing these characters. <3 so freaking much love.

So, I figured I'd post a little thing about my current thoughts on the colored pencil/marker use:

Both are Crayola, first off XDDDDDD

The biggest thing I LOVE about markers is the bright, vibrant colors They're super-saturated, which I really love. <3 The colored pencils are too pale.

I love some of hte effects you can get with colored pencils though; the different combinations and effects and layers are really, REALLY awesome

Pencils are hard as fEFF!!!!!1!!!k to use. Orz|||| You have to do lots of thin layers, then finally get tired of it and push really, REALLY hard, which takes a lot out of my hand. Also, if you don't have a pencil sharpener with you, YOU"RE SCREWED

I like how you can do light colors when you need to--like Marik's hair is WAY too pale for markers to manage, but it's not TOO hard with colored pencils (difficult to do a nice, full-coverage layer without making it too dark tho. :/ )

For how I shade, markers are MUCH easier to use, since I cell-shade instead of gradiate.

THIS is why I want to be a digital artist--you can get full, vibrant colors without a whole lot of effort and still be able to use pale colors. But... oh well. I guess I'll just use whatever I feel like.

I watched the first episode (finally) after getting interested in the show after downloading an AMV. It had subtitles. But also English audio.

You have any idea how hard it is to listen to the audio and try to ignore the subtitles (which don't match) at the same time? I thought about muting the audio and just listening to music or something (the English voice acting SUCKS THAT MUCH), but I decided that I've done that before and it bothers me greatly.

General Opinions
I really do love Harry Potter.... <3 and I feel bad that Harry PMS's so much during the later books, but I can't really blame J.K.Rowling for that; characters are hard to control.

Dumbledore's scar never became purposeful. >:/

I only cried twice during the entire series, both in 7, one at "The Prince's Tale" and once while Dumbledore was talking about his sister with Harry in King's Cross.

((( I haven't cried since, but "The Prince's Tale" still touches me deeply. <3 (there were two "waterworks moments" in "The Prince's Tale"-- the first one was when Snape said "it doesn't matter at all" (which literally made my jaw drop open, I swear to god), and then when he summoned the Doe. <3 <3 <3 <3)
