I have really, really, really had enough of these people. I started making poser content because I enjoyed it, it was fun to see what the next idea would turn into. Now it's just not fun anymore. It's not fun to see a package you spent 2 months working on get uploaded for free after you sold 10 copies of it. It's even less fun to watch a package you sold 2 copies of end up on one of these sites and then watch it drop into clearance because it never sells another copy after the "sharers" upload it.

They say that they are not hurting anyone, they are not hurting our sales because none of them were going to buy it anyway. Well then if they weren't going to buy it anyway why do they need it? Why do they feel entitled to have it? Why do they think that I don't deserve to get paid for my work? I buy resources. I buy software,I paid for my copy of Adobe photoshop and poser 6, 7 and pro, and every other piece of software I use in developing my content... I spend valuable time on every single package I release to make sure that people who buy it get a good value for their money. I price my products far below the work that actually goes into them and I am very lucky to break even. So why do these people think I don't deserve to get paid? I wonder if they would like it if the people they worked for told them at the end of the day, hey thanks for sharing all that hard work with me, it didn't hurt you any because I wasn't going to pay you anyway...

Just because something is digital and can be downloaded does not mean that you are entitled to have it for free. All of us who make poser content work very hard and we deserve to get paid as much as anyone else who does a job or offers a service or product. We are not rich. We are not big software companies, we are not microsoft or adobe or any of the other expensive software companies. We are all independant artists who bust our asses to bring you nice things for a low price. We are not getting rich here. We are not greedy. We are lucky to break even. We sell our products for far less than they are worth if you were to add up all the work we all put into them. Lets not forgot that most of us also pay the brokerages between 40 and 50% of each sale. So why do these people think that we don't deserve to get paid. I am very close to closing up shop at this point. It is just not worth it when something doesn't even get a chance to sell a reasonable amount before these people upload it for free for everyone.

Well Thats my rant for the evening folks and hey if you're a "sharer" and you're reading this I would really like you to tell me why we poser merchants don't deserve to get paid for our work and why if you weren't going to buy something anyway you feel the need to have it. I am curious...

I am really fed up with assholes putting my products up for free download on torrents sites. Where do these jerkoffs get the idea that since they paid 5$ for something they get the right to give it away to 5000 people for free. I am seriously considering getting out of the 3d content creation business because of these people.

It is absolutely ridiculous to find something you release for sale being given away for free within 24 hours of release. I know this happens to Aery Soul and DM all the time and you can probably help yourself to anything for sale at DAZ for free on one particular torrent site if you're that sort of person.

This all started with a friend of mine telling me one of my very first releases was being torrented. So I started watching. You can pretty much count on the popular new releases showing up there within 24 hours of being released and with DAZ stuff it shows up almost immediately.

Where do these people get this sense of entitlement that they can just help themselves to anything they want and to hell with the person who put their time and energy into making something special. Who cares if the person they are stealing from has only this content as their income as long as these pathetic losers get what they want without having to work for it who gives a shit about the person who worked hard to create it.

The really last straw was that one of these thieves actually used my stolen product and posted an image in the gallery dedicate to me, how blatant can you get. In a perfect world there would be penalties for this kind of theft but sadly there is not. You can pretty much steal anything you find on a torrent site with no consequences. So grats thieves on making me reconsider if I ever want to make another product again....

I bought my 2 cats an 8 foot tall Cat tree for Christmas. Spent nearly 2 hours setting it up nearly falling off a chair in the process. The cats barely gave it a passing glance as they made a b line for the box it came in hehe. Silly cats.

A little history. I am an avid gamer. I like to play MMOs. I played EQ for 6 years and I made some lasting friendships there. When World of Warcraft was looming on the horizon my old guild mates and I decided we would form up there and recreate out Everquest guild. One of the former officers of that guild offered to lead and so Monolith was born on the Llane server of world of warcraft.

All was good we played together, leveled up together and had fun with our friends. When we all hit the upper levels we started raiding. First the small instances then the larger ones. Then it came time to take on the 40 man zones and our small group of people was not enough to raid it alone so we formed an alliance to raid Molten Core. Things went well for a while until our leader decided it was time to raid it by ourselves and we started adding more members. For a while even this was ok. The core of friends remained and the guild thrived.

Then we added someone who was only interested in gaining power. This guy bugged the hell out of me ( I was an officer and he wanted to be one ) to get our guild leader to promote him. During this time our leader was working long hours and not really around to lead. Finally getting no where with me this guy started bugging the leader to promote him and we were short people who would lead raids. I warned our guild leader that anyone who was that desperate to be an officer was just going to be bad news. He ignored me and promoted him anyway.

The guild suceeded and this guy is a good raid leader but he let this power go to his head. If you have read this far I am getting to the point. Now Monolith a guild that was once a group of close friends is now this guys personal playground. He has alienated every person who came to play with us from the old guild and very few remain. I can count them on one hand. The guild leader is completely blind to this and has allowed this guy to handpick his friends and gear them up while refusing membership to anyone that this guy doesnt want.

During this time this officer and one of his friends who is also an officer have been plotting to leave when the burning crusade releases and take their now nicely geared friends with them. They admitted this during a rather obnoxious and heated argument in the officers forum. They made it clear their plans and in the process also made some very nasty and unfounded remarks toward me and even invited me to get the fuck out of a guild I founded. Our guildleader, a guy who I have been playing one MMO or another with for nearly 5 years and who I have met in RL decided that this was perfectly Ok and in response to their plot to gut the guild he gave them control to kick whoever they want and to invite whoever they want so that they won't leave and kill the guild. A shitty thing to do to be sure and the reason I am no longer guilded ( I left they did not kick me but why stay where its clear I am not wanted ). I know this has nothing to do with art but what the hell I wanted to get it off my chest. If you read all this I thank you for listening .
