Isn't it amazing how many new deviations are submitted daily on dA?
That the amount of people who are interested in dA increases daily?
And the fact that so many artists have found a platform to dicuss and present their work to others?



Without a doubt it's a big, interesting and versatile community.
But isn't it amazing to always see the same artists on the frontpage every single day concerning the fact that so many new deviations have been submitted?

We're all aware of that and believe that this has to change. It is already quite difficult for the "unknown" artists to promote their work and gain more attention.

Clearly, we do not intend to deny the skills of those great artists who enrich the community by sharing their magnificent work. But we do intend to enhance the platform in such a way that "unknown" artists might get a real chance to draw the public attention to their own pieces of work by promoting it on the front page of the community.

In our opinion we think it unjust to only have the chance to be represented on the front page if one has the luck of having many watchers.

We would like a better system which allows a deviation to be seen on the front page if, for example, it has 'only' reached about 40 favourites and about 200 views.

Take a look at the actual situation: You have uploaded an impressive piece or art that gets faved according to the number of your total views/watchers. Then, however, a more popular deviant uploads a more or less 'average' deviation and automatically reaches more than the double of your favourites/views in a mere moment.

A new structure of the frontpage could enhance the actual competition on dA, i.e. popular deviants wouldn't be able to best the "unknown" artists by posting a rather average deviation.

A reasonable alternative to present the "daily top favourites" on the front page would be a bigger amount of thumbs which would show the 40 best deviations of the day in a random order.

We think it's in everyone's interest to change the current situation and make dA a place where creating and sharing unique art plays a far bigger role than scrambling for new watchers.

Well, in general, it means, that yes. Those that go on gaia, my previous name was The 7th Sin-Lust, however, my mother once caught my name logged on, and hse gave me a "talkin' to". So now, I have changed my name to The Green Scribbler, yeppers. XP That's right, The Green Scribbler, I don't know why, well, green relating to envy, aside from that, I'm unsure of why I named myself that.

Well, to match with my neat new name, I changed my icon to an odd, but still kind a funky green thing. With my name in black letters at the bottom. Funky? Thoughts on it? Well, too bad, I like it. :E I love it.

Well, as far as gaia goes, I like it, I started a new uh, free art thread. x_x I'm already swamped with work after just like, one day of it being open. XDD~! Yeah, and it's the perfect time for the scanner to be unplugged and unable to use man. X_x;; Well, nonetheless, it's still there now, and well, I have a new free art thread. offerin' art like the newest piece of my work, and the one that was submitted just before it.

Kannica gave a large sigh as she clicked and pointed away with her mouse. Her eyes glued to the computer screen ahead of her. Biting her lip her brow slowly arched as she watched the computer screen, forever confused and annoyed at the damned thing. "My god, why won't you work?"

Giving a quick side kick with her right foot she attacked the clear-like computer. Letting out a huff she kicked the machine once more, it bothered her how it seemed to be acting. Giving a slight sigh, she kicked it a few more times, before turning in her chair. "Ryan, Ryan c'mere!"

The girl gave a quick shout as she stared to her brother, on the other computer across the room. Ryan perked an eyebrow as he stared at his sister with a quick sigh, "What the hell do you waant?"

The boy's voice echoed in the apartment as he walked over slowly to his sister. "What is it now?'

Kannica bit her lip and pointed to the computer screen. "I-I think, it's dying."

Soooo, yeah. My computer has died. TT____TT I'm mourning for it, I'm really sad because it was the one with the scanner plugged into it, and now, I can't scan my pictures up for awhile. >>;; Though, I could just plug in the scanner into my laptop, but I'm too lazy to do that. So, right now, I'm in a bind. >>;; I can draw on the tablet, but I don't feel like it right now.

I'm just really depressed that my computer died, it was with us for a loong time, though, we're trying to fix it. ^.^;; Good thing too. I'm excited about it getting fixed, the sooner it is, the sooner I can scan up pictures. >>; But yeah, my computer has died, so I'm worried just a bit. I'm surprised that I actually miss the computer, I abused it sooo much. -Sigh- Well, until it's fixed, >>; I'm kind of screwed. >>;; Unless I go on the computer with the tablet. XDD So yeah.
