Not talking about break. I just finished Harry Potter 7! Oh my lord, I was reading it all day and I finally finished like a half an hour ago. Amazing. Not the actual book, mind you, I've got my quips with Rowling's style, but the actual 'harry potter' experience that is my life has drawn to a close.... that is if you don't count the movies. Those have another couple years coming, and the seventh one will need to be like four hours long.... Hopefully I'll have someone to see it with when it comes out.

Don't want to post any spoilers because I know I avoided them like the plague for months. I'll just say I love Snape, now more than ever. I feel a sudden influx of HP fanart on my part.... hah hah, I did some the past couple day. Don't you laugh at me!!!!

Oh, hey... what about Dumbledore being gay...? Hah hah.... I mean don't get me wrong, one of my best friends is gay, but I found it really... I dunno, weird. Dumbledore's like, a million years old, he should have no sexual preference whatsoever. That, and it sort of made me worry he was coming on to Snape, which, if you've seen the movies with their fine choice in ugly actors across the board, is the BIGGEST nightmare in the world.

...gives me the jibblies...

Oh well, now I'm just wondering where all the Grindewald/Young Dumbledore Yaoi is (not that I want to see it), considering how every other form of non-canon yaoi is everywhere. Maybe canon-ness ruins the fun? I don't know, I won't even try to understand. 'rolly better for me that way.

So, yeah, break is almost over, heading back to the dorm on like, Tuesday morning, I have class, work, and fencing one after the other after the other.... so from noon to six thirty, all tuesdays will be a likewise nightmare, as you can imagine. Wednesdays are empty and Friday nights are empty too. Monday and thursday I'm free from 2pm and earlier... crazy business.






Who knows if I'll have time for art again?

Hm, I think I'm feeling a bit better now. I'm an A student in college. AN *A* student. I wish I had a pair of glasses to shine so I would look the part. I got a 93 on my Computer Science test, and a 90 on my philosophy paper. Isn't that astounding? I'm totally preening, but whatever. I never expected this...

I realized something today during library study... There's a SCANNER in the school library! and what can you do with a scanner? SCAN THINGS. Awesome! I should probably get to it at some point. I have to walk to fencing later in the rain, and that should, at the very least, be amusing. I hope you're all doin' good.

.... I really need to finish Harry Potter 7 ....

Well well, everyone or maybe no-one (I think I write these more as a 'because I feel like it' than to fill anyone in because I know only five people probably read it and maybe two thoroughly. Catharsis, perhaps?) I've, as of Sunday, been at college two weeks. I'm still not thoroughly adjusted but I think things are getting progressively better, or at least hoping.

I'm lucky to have a couple of friends from my old school because I don't know what I'd've done without Kate and Steve. But, anyway, I think I'm making some friends. I actually had dining hall for both meals I went for today with someone to speak to.

I think most of my misery (which is slowly on the decline) is in fact mostly my fault. I mean, I haven't been 'reaching out' to others because it certainly isn't my nature. I don't just meaninglessly pop in and say "OH NICE LAMP" and hope a conversation ensues because if it doesn't I just look like a creepy lamp-ophile. Also, I really haven't let the usual loud, sarcastic, fun part of myself out. I'm still in fake nice mode, maybe as some sort of defense mechanism, and it's kinda hard to make it go away. Fake nice me is effing boring and I wouldn't want to hang out with her either.

I also am ALWAYS worried about classes. My CPU class is making me nuts because I don't know whether my teacher has stopped grading my assignments and isn't accepting them (which she does based on time but I don't really know how or why or how to know if she has) and my philosphy class is... odd. I think I understand and did well on today's interpretational test but maybe its way over my head and I have understood nothing... If no one else gets it either I'm in the clear, I guess.

BUT I feel like drawing. Did you see the subscription? Isn't it cool? Stu got it for me because she's totally cool. So, now, I need to actually post some stuff, at the very least some sketches. I've done a few lately. I have some acrued, so I will have to riffle-riffle. I really feel like I'm missing so many drawings I did in school.... hmmm....

Well, anywho, that's how it is.
And at least it's hopeful instead of my day three-through-seven day rant at Kate that "they put a bridge on campus so I could jump off it".

----AFTER THREE. Things aren't better and probably never will be. Optimism is stupid and I don't think I'll ever be happy again for the rest of my life. If these are 'the best years' I can only imagine what working will be like. Dining hall costs a bazillion dollars and I never go. I'm overworked and overwrought and exhausted.

P.S. I'm a little depressed lately, I think.

I just finished the first book I've actually PICKED completely unswayed into reading this week! I know, I know, you've seen me read all the time. BUT this book wasn't shoved down my throat by the AP board. It sure tastes better that way, you know? So, I read "The Hundred Secret Senses" by Amy Tan, which I started reading at the beginning of my junior year but was forced to quit because of my other reading requirements. I REALLY loved it, not so much the ending, but it was a fantastically executed piece I'm glad I got back to. Now what's next? I have such a big box of books I've intended to read for the past two years...

I actually have gotten back to drawing a bit lately, nothing too in-depth, but enough to make me feel a wee-bit accomplished. Delightful. I've been waiting patiently to order my laptop so I can get to writing. My idiot brother won't leave me alone long enough to let me string together a coherent thought on the family desktop, but here's to hoping.

I need a NEW SHOJO ANIME. Last summer I had Ouran, now a need a new, awesome series to dive into. Thing is there seems to be no big trend this summer in the way of animes. Anyone know of any I could watch of on the big YT?

On a less upbeat note (just to balance out my little entry) I haven't heard from any of my friends (save online talking to Alicia and Brittany) in 10 days. I'd be terribly lonely save the fact I've been pretty much okay on my own. I dunno, maybe I'm turning into a hermit...?

Also, college stuff has me bewildered. One minute I'm like "Yay, college!" and the next I have this terrible sinking vibe that makes my throat tense up. Maybe I'm just going nuts. Hopefully the open house on Thursday will ease my mind. Hopefully.

Eh, wish me luck. This is less than two weeks down, two months and a week to go!.

Today as I was sitting at home, being sick and lonely, the sound card in my computer BURNED OUT. BURNNNNEEED OUT. No more music, no more watching Kita-he! I LOVE KITA-HE!!!!

On top of that, I hate colleges. They are cruel to me because I am not wealthy. ...Why can't all colleges be need blind? I mean, I have a 3.8159 GPA. How awesome is that? WELL!? I'm on one of the best mock trial teams in state, and spend ALL MY TIME WORKING ON IT. GREAT RIGHT?! DOESN'T THAT MAKE ME WORTHY!?

The answer is no.

Dollars speak, and I couldn't offer them more that 5. That's what happens when you have a low EFC. You take what you can get.

How great it must be to be rich and spoiled and bitchy and cruel to small animals and children!

Well screw them all.

I'll just go to a lesser college. I'll just waste my talents away, twidling my thumbs and wondering where all the opportunities went. Then I'll just idle my life away in squaler.

Nobody gives the little guy a chance.

SCHOOL. I have to spend SO MUCH TIME to do well in school this year, it's driving me nuts. I have way too many extra ciriculars and I just can't keep up with it all.

COLLEGE. I want to go to WELLESLEY!!!! Holy shiz, I love the school, and I REALLY want to be admitted... I have an interview Monday, and I swear I'll botch it.... just watch!

SAT IIs. What. The hell. Is CELL THEORY?! I didn't even know that sort of thing existed. Holy hell. I don't have time for all this. I'm trying to study for them between school assignments, and it's not going well.

THE INFERNO. I have no time to read it, but this is a HUGE PROJECT to be done. Ugh, when will it end?

SUIKODEN V. I invest some time in the first game I've played since school started, and then I find out I messed it up so funking bad that I can't ever get the best ending! You know, it pisses me off. I'm total shooting the bird at Konami.

ART PORTFOLIO?! Yes, that's right. I need to get an art portfolio done. I don't do anything mainstream, so lets just imagine how that's going to go! Holy hell....

I changed my user icon.

I know it comes so suddenly, but, you know, it was made in October of 2004, back in my fun time youngin' days, and I just felt like things are changing in my life, and changing my little avatar is a small yet symbolic step.

Senior year looks like it will be fun. Priv with my dear sweet Amanda will be very fun! I have a lot of classes with friends (I'm only alone in computers) and I just think things are really looking up!

I've come to a realization lately that makes me severely depressed, though. I know when I'm an adult, I won't do much if any art anymore. It really makes my heart ooze little blue wavvy lines. I was sitting in class, inking a picture of Chiyako, Reikuya, and Hiroshi and thinking about how much better it was than my old stuff for those characters, and I thought "what will they look like in another 4 years?" and then it occured to me, in 4 years I'll be preparing to enter grad school, and what time will I have then to be drawing horror manga characters? It's not like my stuff will ever be good enough to get picked up by a company.... and then I'll get old, and have had several husbands who I'll have to pay spousal support to and a welsh corgie and an estate, and what time then will I have after picking out hot latino men to clean my pool? Any time at all? I'm no Rumiko Takahashi, after all.

Oh well, right? Ha ha ha, I guess it's nothing to worry about just yet....

Well, it just so happened that on Sunday night, when I got home from work, I was flipping through dA. I went to one of my favorite artists' ('s) page to see what she'd been up to. I saw her latest pictures from this thing called "Ouran" and decided to check it out on a whim.
Before I knew it, I watched the first 12 episodes in one sitting. ;

So I wasted my entire Monday watching up to episode 20 of Ouran High School Host Club, and now, instead of writing my paper, I'm obsessing about episode 21! When will it be translated!?

With two days remaining, I have 80 math problems, 3 papers, and the last 150 pages of Brave New World breathing down the back of my neck! The horror!

As you all know, I have no scanner, which makes a mess of things to start with.

My digicam's computer link is missing. When I came home everything was rearranged, and it wasn't in it's usual spot. Thus I have no means to upload images.

Well, I decided then to put photoshop on my computer. I dug around and found the old disk I got from a friend of my brother, but it had a cyclic redundancy problem. I downloaded restoration software, but to no avail.


Sucks to be me, right?

I fear I will not finish my summer reading, me and matteuz are gonna try to figure it all out together, but the forth hand has taken me almost a week and I don't know how I will do with the others . I know I have to finish, so I'm trying my best! Wish me luck!

High school is almost over. Just this last year... So I started a project I've had an intention of doing for years. I've started a scrapbook about my time in junior/senior high that I am gonna take with me to college and beyond. It's a slow moving project, I know, but it'll all be worth it. Tangible memories are nice

SEAN REMEMBERED ME! OH MY GOD. My life is complete ! For those of you who are slow on the recollection, Sean is the hot guy I'm stalking. He works at this burrito place and he's REALLY foxxy. Really really foxxy. So I went in there today, and I didn't see him and I was a bit unhappy so, as I was waiting for my food, he came out of the back room and said "Oh! It's you! You haven't been here in a while!" and I melted into a puddle on the floor. If only he wasn't like.... 22.... Ha ha ha. I can still dream and insinuate. And insinuate I shall indeed!

I have to close the restaurant this weekend. How uncool is that? I'll be there, saturday and sunday, til like... 11. I don't know what to do, and it's unnecessary since I'll only be working there until.... like.... September. But I say, I'll be bad at it, and they won't make me do it again, so bring it on . Yup. So don't expect much of me this weekend!

Vacation is soon on the Horizon! I am gonna be at the national parks and Vegas August 7th to the 18th.... WHO WANTS A POST CARD? IRL pals, send me your address on AIM or in a note, and I will try to send you a postcard! I'm sharing my love indeed .

I have injured my hand. My drawing hand at that. I pulled the muscle between my index finger and thumb, so I can't hold a pencil and certainly can't clay-figurefy. The timing is the worst, with school out for summer and a desperate need to fill my otherwise empty days. Theory is I pulled the muscle playing 6 straight hours of DOA 4 (I love the 360). Q: Will you make so-and-so?
A: Maybe, I like suggestions, I take all ideas really seriously!

Q: I see your big long list, how do you determine who to make next?
A: I make whoever I feel like making when I sit down. I look at the list and say hmmm....

Q: What kind of clay do you use.
A: Sculpey. It's cheap and at EVERY craft store.

Q: What tools do you use?
A: Needles, mostly, and pen cartridges to roll the clay flat. I also use toothpicks to hold the heads while I work on the bodies. I would love some real clay tools (my half-birthday is soon approaching) if you really wanted to get me some. Oh, and I work on freezer paper because it's non-stick. The background in my shots are actually folded in half pieces of sketchbook paper propped up against the kitchen window.

Q: Are you gonna stop doing your other stuff?
A: No, of course not. I am really liberal with my art. I do what I feel like at that time.

Q: Why are you doing this?
A: Well, it's fun, and people seem to really enjoy the little guys.

Q: Oh my god, I want one.
A: Sorry man, not yet. I plan on developing my skills more before I start putting them up for sale.

Q: I want one, NOW.
A: Okay, here's the plan on selling these. I plan on working on these over the next year, and when I reach a level where I have a certain level of consistency, I will start selling these on ebay. Okay, so, six things about me you don't already know...
1- I really have a thing for men. I mean, I reallllllly like men. Sometimes when I see a really hot guy I stop whatever I'm doing and stare. One time I almost fell down the Boston subway stairs...
2- Since my stepfather died in late October, I have had these really bad nightmares.
3- I have always wanted a welsh corgie. I would name him Pineapple if he were a boy, and Poland Springs if it were a girl.
4- Though I am really open about my art, I am incredibly secretive about my writing.
5- I haven't actually opened my history book since first quarter, and have recently pulled an A in the class.
6- Everyone at work thinks I am in college, and I constantly have to correct them. Even my boss thought I was in college until last week. I don't look old so I can't figure out why.

So, what does this mean, you ask? Well, my computer accsess will be cut at the very least in half. I have no computer with photoshop. I lost all my music, photos, and writings. I lost my novel and all my favorite site addresses. I am so freaking pissed right now. Out of the 4 computers in my house, only my mom's laptop works. I really need a windows X P start disk, hopefully the one for mine is still in my sister's apartment. ugh.
Well, break is at its end and I still haven't done my schindler paper or read my AP assignment, but whatever. I had work last night and tonight so I could have money after the music trip next week. Amanda's B-day present is getting shipped today, I hope it comes in before Thursday. I really dread going back to school. Ugh. ><

okay, so, the life of me...

well, i haven't posted much since my old computer died. my laptop and photoshop don't want to get along. i will keep trying while break is still on. yay break.

I may post some stuff again in the near future-- amanda took a bunch of my sketches to scan. I promise goodness!

Break just starting, and I mainly just need to study. my AP exams are really soon, and I hate studygroups and won't go to either... I just need to read my History, i have matt/steve's notes, so that wont be hard. ugh.... school is dumb.

On monday, I skipped MT for term paper writing. Oh god, that was the worst term paper ever. I know I am gonna get a C, and I will be insanely depressed over it, but hey, what can I do? Just my best, and that is just what I did.

On Tuesday, after going INSANE trying to print out my paper, I got it to work on my 7th try. The computers at the library do not have Works! OMG >.<. Well, after that insanity, I went to MT practice for a long while, seemed like a year, and got a lot of work done. Yay work.

On Wednesday was the trial of the century, and we put up one hell of a fight. I thought we won, but the judge thought otherwise. But it was one hell of a year. I could not be more proud of my teammates, love you all, you guys all rock.

Thursday I skipped school, half in depression, the other half in laziness. It was only a half day anyway, so who the hell cares? Well, after a day of incredible laziness, We had the rehearsal dinner for stus wedding. the food was good and then i watched the karioke.

Friday we had the rehearsal and I hung out with cassie. It was good fun indeed. Other than that, it was a rather uneventful and calm day.

Saturday was Stus wedding and stuff. First we made the bouquets and picked up the cake. Then we all got dressed and had to get to the wedding. The ceremony was beautful. I am so happy for Stu, she looked so happy. Steve is a really nice guy too. I dont know him as well as I would like to, since he is part of the family now, but I really think he is a nice guy.

And Sunday, well, Sunday was a day of rest and restfullness. Now that MT and the Wedding stuff is over, I dont know what to do with my life. I will probably spend most of my time listening to Jpop and drinking left over fake liquor (awesome stuff, why is the real thing so nasty?)

Other stuff has happened this week too, some of it awesome (yay ^_^) and some of it awful (boo >.< )but all together I think this was the busiest week of my life. I am sooooo tired o.o

Lorenzo said he wants to work with me in MT again next year. I'm really happy. I hate readjusting. Also Lorenzo's a pretty good guy. He's not obsessed with the team, but also not a slacker. We make a pretty awesome team! I'm looking forward to next year.

Okay, so I'm not taking calc. I know you're all surprised. I'm just not that good at math. I'm worried colleges won't want me, because only taking one AP next year will send my class rank to hell. I don't know. Maybe I'm just not that smart.

Well, anywho, I've been working on my novel and on TABASCO lately. Their both going well. I'll put up some of my cutesy Kyoumi and Akane sketches, I have a million of them! Well, to all my darling fans (all four of you ), I bid you adeiu!

My CPU crashed and so all my photoshoping is at an end until Le Dang decides to give me a copy. I also lost all my flash cartoons, so it looks like "Inu Outro" will never hit the net, sad day indeed! I put in so much work! I had some truly awesome renders, and really, my feelings are like crushed that it'll never make the air.

Another concern of mine is that my laptop will be unable to sustain photoshop. I only have like 6 gigs I can use before it explodes. Also, I don't believe I have the hardware to draw well on my lappy. I REALLY need a wacom tablet. So sadly my world collapses! Oh the humanity...

Well, on the bright side, I just finished the Lament of the Lamb anime. It's got the ending I wanted in the manga, but it's so much less thorough! I'll give it a 7 out of 10. But it does cause me to wonder, will they ever make a Diabolo or Immortal Rain anime? I really think both would be amazing. Oh, and I started Paradise Kiss (the anime) today. It's pretty impressive. I'm totally continuing. So, in yay! But sadly for my friends, my laptop has no burner, so if you want lament of the lamb, we gotta send it through AIM or a memory stick (which you must supply!).

My fitting for my sister's wedding is coming up, and I'm totally dreading it. I really need to drop my 15 or so depression pounds that I gained after Al died. I've started confronting the issue, but it's so annoying. I know I'll be okay with it, but it's really kinda incredibly depressing. Lots of things are actually really depressing. I need to get on the upswing!

Oh, on a REALLY happy note, the scrimage for mock trial went pretty well! I was nervous at first, but I think I actually did pretty well. I need to rely on Lorenzo a bit more, since he can redirect, and not just try to attack the points on my own. Teamwork, right? Hah hah. Holy Name Mock Trial, on our way to Oklahoma (is that how it spelled?)!

Oh, and also, I think I'm gaining some leeway with Tall Guy. I think he's actually starting to notice me, which is pretty much a dream come true. Sure, it's nothing too solid yet: we joke sometimes, I let him play my bass afterschool, and he smiles back when I smile at him in the halls. That's a bit of a foundation, right? All I have to do is hope one of the pretty girls doesn't notice him, because then I'm totally screwed. Luckily he's pretty quiet, so they have yet to notice his cute accent.


Oh, and lastly, I'm starting restarting my novel. I lost my blocking, and my first fragment of chapter one, but I really think it's at a turning point. It's one of those slice of life novels, that deals with some really big angst. It's basically composed of three parts. I'm pretty happy with the structure, and the characters, and the overall theme. I think I can really finally compose this piece the way I want to. Want to know more? Ask about it. I'm usually not one to talk about my non-manga writing, but hell, if you actually care, it's nice to brain storm with another person.

New manga alert! New Manga Alert! With all my series being at the stall point right now (MORE. METEOR. METHUSALEH. YEARGH.) I need to pick a new series. I've been looking at Hot Gimmick for a while. Also, I like Arcana, and I need to check out the dilly-o with the update schedule for them. I really want to get something that's all finished- that I can pick up once I get the money, finish, and not face these annoying roadblocks. Eh... What's one to do?

Lastly, I'm considering getting a wacom tablet with my X-mas money. They're on sale @ the best buy website for 80, and I have a 15 dollar gift certificate I got from one of my many aunts (women my uncle has married). I also got a wallmart gift certificate, which will soon be turned into either a giant carebear or some other fun toy. So in the end, I'm really winning. Now, FINALLY, me and my Kamui plushie (thanks mommy!) are gonna hit the hay.

Also, the new anime of my heart is X. I bought 1-6 this past week (buy two used DVDs get one free! Only $52! Also, I'm getting 7 and 8 for christmas. I can't wait! I really like Satsuki, Kakyo, Yuto, and Yuzuriha, and my head is already filled with weird fanfiction couples. Heh heh. "That's good old Kate for ya," as my oldest pal would say if we spoke. I never change, no matter what comes at me!

Oh, and my birthday is in 3 days! GET THE PRESENTS READY OR ELSE!!! Just kidding. All I want for my birthday is love, peace on earth, and Takeshi Kaneshiro. Well, anyway, It's almost midnight and I've got school tomorrow! see ya!

First off, I won at the MOB!!! Isn't that just AWESOME? I was gitty. My character should have been up yesterday, but I'm not sweating it being a little late. I bet Dolphin Girl is just really busy, and I understand that. School is uncool.

Schools getting a little better. English is fun since I sit next to Chris, Jessica, and Jill. They're all fun. My Theology teacher, Mrs. Olsen is a little off the deep end, but it makes things interesting. Roger's in my theo class, we haven't spoken much. Yet. Yet is always the key word, isn't it?

Kate and Cassie are coming over tomorrow. I love those two. Their such goofs ^_^. It's good to have goofy friends. They make life more interesting. After all the ups and downs my crew has had, I'm glad it's this way now. I only wish we had some CLASSES together, dangit.

Oh, and I'm gonna either join band or chorus this year. I am edging towards chorus, so I can hang with the guys. Next year I'll join band. Then, senior year, I'll do both. Fun.

I love my poster arrangements, and with these new ones I can integrate my Dante and Onimusha Cardboard Cut-outs. OH! and Also, I'm gonna buy some stuff off Homestar Runner again. I'm (probably) getting a cheat hoodie, a homestar bag, and a cheat commandos/marshie shirt or a Strong Bad hat. I can't decide.
