So anyway, i've been wanting to do some more drawings/fractals/3d, but i've been too busy playing GTA 3 and Knights of the Old Republic. They're soooooo addictive. 1) Last two times i checked (aka. the last 2 movies), the landscape was mainly flat with some small hills. Voldemort must have come back, because now, the castle is on the edge of a cliff, and Hagrid's hut is nestled neatly on the side of that cliff face. Even the castle's entrance and courtyard were different. WTF, you can't just change the things like that and expect no one to notice!!!

2) The werewolf looked like a giant evil chiwawa. There was absolutely no fur what so ever. Again, WTF!!

3) There was only about 5 minutes of Quidich. In book three Quidich is a large part of the story line, with the gaining of the Firebolt, winning the cup, Malfoy pretending to be a Dementor, and in the end, winning the House Cup because of winning Quidich.

4) Harry never found out who Moony, Ringtail, Padfoot, or Prongs were. At the end, when he's talking to Proffessor Lupin, it would've taken a whole 5 minutes to explain to Harry why he knew how to use the map and so-forth; but no, they had to leave out this crutial information, which explains the unicorn Patronus.

5) There was only one Hippogriff, i'm sure it wouldn't have been too much trouble to put in a few more (like there was in the book).

By the way, the movie was only 2.5 hours; Lord of the Rings was almost 3.5, i'm sure they could've stretched out this one a little more (if had been quality, like i had hoped, i would've gladly sat for 4 hours)

6) Music... um, it was pretty good. Unfortunately, they only played the theme three times throughout the whole movie (the beginning, somewhere in the middle, and the very, very end). It would've been nice to hear it at least a couple more times, God knows there were plenty of places it would've been perfect.

7) It would've been nice if they had explained the Fidelius Charm that had kept the Potters safe until Peter gave them away. All they tell us is that no one knows where they were. That would explain why Sirius "killed" Peter and was sent to Azkaban for 13 years.

8) There was no Cho Chang!! This is where we should see the budding relationship between these two, but noooooo, she wasn't good enough to be in the movie.

Now the good, though i know there were a few other things that were bothering me:

1) The flight scene with the Hippogriff was very well done. The CG was seamless (from what i could tell) and it added a nice touch.

2) The landscape itself was quite beautiful, they just used the wrong kind.

3) They did the Marauder's Map nicely. I liked the way they used footsteps to mark were the person is going.

4) The addition of Peter about 2/3 of the way through, when Harry sees him on the map. A nice way to foreshadow.

Yes, i know, there aren't nearly as many goods as there are bads (and the goods are kind of weak). The movie itself (writing, acting, etc...) was very good. All put together, minus the landscape, it was... pretty good... But they FUCKED UP with the landscape. How can Hagrid's hut go from the edge of the forest on what looks to be the edge of the lawn, to the side of a cliff and not near the forest. W...T...F!!!!!
