So.

It's the third week of school and for the heck of it, i've decided to update my journal! Haha.. actually, its the influence of reading other ppl's blogs that makes me write.. well, that or when I have stuff to rant about..

Yup. DMD is fun. Different, yes, but fun all the same. Oh, the timetable (with its many breaks and 3 hour chunks of lessons) is nothing new, was pretty much like that in AJ too. Neither is the fact that on several days I end late in the evening (like anyone's gonna actually complain after twice a week choir pracs that last till 8 and beyond) What's different are the irregular hours, which are like, Whoa! 8am to 2pm one day and 11am to 6pm the next.

The workload's different. It's a whole lot more of the Self Directed Learning, and less of the straightforward read-notes-till-you're-blue-in-the-face learning. But it is mighty fun homework, like drawing (wheeee!) and collecting pictures. And Commskills is kinda like GP + project work >.<

Well, in any case, I get to bug CJ occasionally, and my class is bundles of fun (..possibly a little too fun-loving, actually.. haha!). Theres no awkward class politics (yet), unlike 34'05... in fact, it's more like what 35'05 (1st 3 mths) was like. And as a bonus i'm still on pretty good terms with the former Napalm Shower, so most of the time I have ppl to talk to.

And I found a Hokage (Flame of Recca, not Naruto) family!! Haha! Some awesome fun! Hahaha!

Yup. All's good in life at the moment..

Its all in the past. My liking him was all in the past. Sometimes I regret never telling him, but its over. Its over and done with. I no longer like him as anything but a friend.

So why would I feel this way? A pressure in my chest, a heaviness in my heart. A sense of wrongness when I see how they refer to each other. An urge to cry out, “Why do you do this to me?”

I would much rather it be this way, actually. Better a friendship that didn't end when all my other friendships faded, that didn't disappear when my links with my former clique did, that something more volatile, something more prone to disaster.

Something more.

He's happy now. And I'm happy for him. Really. And that's all I really need to know. As long as he's happy, as long as nothing happens to make this fail as the previous relationships have failed, as long as he doesn't get hurt again.

Even though this could have been mine, mine. But it doesn't matter now. I'll find my own happiness, happiness that I have never known prior to now. Write my own story on a blank slate that has never been marked. Never been sought, never been wanted.

Though nothing will stop me from feeling this way.

Let them eat cake.

Actually all animal abusers disgust me. You are not fit to be alive. Why would anyone in their right minds do this? And don't give me that mental instability crap. There's crazy, and then there's downright cruel.

I'm so absolutely fking tired of picking up the newspaper, or turning on the tv, or the radio and hearing about yet another cat killed or tortured. What is wrong with you people? I mean, fine, some people are afraid of cats, some people hate cats. Ok. I respect that. But torturing and killing cats? You fking deserve to rot in the pits of somewhere so vile that there is no name for it for all eternity, while fire ants eat you out from the inside and you should grow a conscience so that the faces of all the cats you killed can haunt you and trap you in guilt forever.

Sounds harsh, violent and unspeakably cruel?

What about this: slitting cats' troats, slamming cats at the wall, piercing kitten's eyes, burning cats' throats, mutilating cats, cats tortured to death with screwdrivers, cats strangled with metal wires

I kid you not.

And the sad thing is, its often ignored by the police. I would like to ask this: SINGAPORE POLICE FORCE, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING????????

You disappoint me. Entirely and utterly.

Allright, so Singapore isn't exactly the most gracious, I-love-my-neighbour country. But hearing of such blatent animal abuse incidents is shocking, to say the least. And even finding the murder weapons discarded with the carcasses isn't enough to warrant action. No, someone had to see the whole fking process before it's considered evidence.

And you know what? Many people here, especially the elderly, feel that it's allright to kill an animal. Ok, I conceed the point that many of them grew up in kampongs where you keep poultry or pigs if you were lucky and at the end of the day you eat them. Ok. But torture??? Wake up, people! This is what is going on! TORTURE! They don't kill for food! THEY FKING KILL FOR FUN!!!

And if you're still going to sanction this I highly reccommend you go visit a shrink. If you think that torture killings are fine then I hope that you get a taste of it very very soon.

Imagine what it would feel like if someone tortured and killed someone close to you: poked their eyes out with screwdrivers, bashed their heads in with beer bottles, strangled them, mutilated them, raped them, chopped them up and strung their intestines on trees like christmas lights?

It's no different for animals.

They're alive too you know? They feel too you know? They are just like you and me. In fact, they are better than any of us. It's just so humanlike to kill our fellow animals. You know what we are? We're viruses. Everywhere humans go... BOOM! WHAM! BAM! instant destruction. And more often than not it's Mother Earth who bears the consequences. At least animals, beasts, creatures, lower beings do not fking kill for fun. They kill for food, for mates, for territory, I respect that. Kill for FUN?

Choir and school are draining my life away >.< im in school for abt 14 hrs a day, sleep at approximately midnight every night... bleah. and my homework pile is abt as tall as Mt Everest... >.< urgh... an unending nightmare of torture... i'm actually supposed to by doing my Geog 'future space' presentation (due last monday >.< ) now instead of updating my journal... but... well here i am. In the wise words of my GP teacher, i'm very scattered. i strongly agree. hopefully, the parts of me won't start disintegrating just yet... (haha! beloved! bleah guru hasn't even started officially teaching it yet... damn book.... takes forever to find quotes >.< )

argh, choir isn't much better... i don't know whats wrong, our singing is flunctuating from performance standard to shit standard... hopefully its just low morale.... i sincerely hope all my sops aren't stupid, can't-care-less or retarded. Ok so i know several of you aren't going to Xiamen, and the concert is probably the last thing u're gonna do in choir but damn! just focus, get the rest of us through this and you can go rot in some small dark corner. i'm trying, ok? (tell me truthfully, how many of you can actually say that?) i know im not the best sl in the world, damnit i've never been in choir before last year, but i try. urgh... at least concert will be over in like 4 days, then we can all have a bit of rest before we step into the dungeon of torture and soul-stealing that is the preparation for the world choir games. good luck. Now, who ever said that people are fking logical?

You'd be surprised to know how many fking people discard the obvious, logical choice and go for the fking hard route: trying to barrel your way through the fking strong current.

You'd be surprised how fking many people decide that they should just struggle upstream. Whenever they come to a rock, they can just get out, and save time and energy in getting to their goal. But NO, they decide that they don't like the rock, that the rock is the wrong colour, the wrong shape, the wrong fking rock. And they feel proud that they have made such an absolutely idiotic choice, and struggle on.

Dont think you're that stupid?

Think again. We're so used to doing it that we dont fking notice anymore.


I hate people who have no fking respect for their fking selves, and set out on a course with the intention of fking destroying themselves. Let me repeat that.

I FKING HATE PEOPLE WHO NEGLECT/ABUSE/DESTROY/WHATEVER THEIR FKING SELVES!!!

In this world, there is nothing more inportant than yourself. Nothing. Sure, you may have mountains of money, loads of friends, heaps of popularity, a wonderful loving family, and a nice lovely dash of sh*t, but when you die, whats the only thing that you can bring with you to whereever you believe you'll go after death?

That's right.

Yourself.

So why are there stupid people who seem bent on destroying themselves?

The most important thing in the world is yourself. So whatever you do, whatever you dont do, you better be fking able to fking answer to yourself. The most important thing in the world is yourself. So no matter what you do, once you decide to do it, once you promise yourself that you'll do it, you better make sure you fking do it, no matter how much the effort.

There is no fking excuse.

You either be true to yourself or you're a fking milk-livered coward.

Im so sick and tired of people like that. Im sick of people who dont make a true effort to study, then hiding behind the fking excuse of "Im stupid" and BEING TRULY FKING STUPID WHEN OTHERS TRY TO HELP.

I dont get it. Is stupidity something to be proud of? Something to want?

That's just fking stupid.

Im sick of people who don't truly make an effort to quit smoking. Spend a fortune on medicines that are supposed to help, but lack the willpower to actually quit, then giving up and saying that its no use.

Its all in your FKING MIND!

If you lack willpower, the most expensive medicines wont do a fking bit to help. And even if you succeed kicking the habit by relying on medicines, then you haven't truly succeeded. You're just shifting your pathetic dependence.

And if you are that fking kind of person, and you cant fking help it, then DONT DRAG OTHERS DOWN WITH YOU.

And by the way, people who cant spell "curse" properly should simply not use the word. To change a beautiful word like "curse" into something so unspeakably crude as "cuss" is utterly revolting. Using short forms and abbreviations is one thing, but downright degradation of words like that is vile. People who do that should be dragged screaming to rot in the pits of purgatory.

Ahh, Marche... what a wonderful place for fine dining, great ambience, and cows. i'm not kidding. go take a look at Heeren's Marche (for Singaporeans obviously, no one's gonna take a 16 hr plane ride to look at a bunch of fake cows...), and u'll find several plastic cows scattered randomly around the area. now, i have nothing against cows, but multicolour cows with story pictures painted on them? not your everyday occurence.

anyway, Isha's birthday is tomorrow, so we went there to celebrate and deplete our allowances. i mean, having to buy at least $10 worth of food isn't exactly healthy for one's pocket. well, not for my pocket at least; i find $1.90 for the school's chicken rice with an egg expensive. (so i'm a scrouge. sue me. on second thoughts, u won't get much out of it anyway, so don't bother.) i did manage to get away with paying only $11.80 for a plate of tempura-style soft-shelled crabs (yum) and a scoop of some ice cream whose fancy name i forgot. tasted kinda like vanilla with choco chips though. soft-shelled crabs rock. i introduced 4 ppl to the loveliness and perfection of soft-shelled crabs (in hannah's words: u'll fly when u eat it). my life is now complete. i can die happy.

i have discovered paradise on our humble earth: Beads, Etc. its my newest obsession. once inside, u find strings of crystals and semi-precious gemstones that u can cut and restring to ur liking. not only that, there are loads of assorted beads, and a display case full of the shiniest gemstone/crystal beads i have ever seem. im going to drag my mother and her credit cards there one day.

i love the upper levels of Heeren. theres this stretch of shops collectively known as the annex, which my fellow Japan-fashion-worshipping friend claims looks like Shibuya. i take her word for it; she's the one who's been to Japan. unfortunately, my beloved grafitti cafe has shrunk. the stretches of beautiful (and not so beautiful) artwork that adorn the walls have been reduced to only one corner. sigh. all good things must come to an end. such is the rule of life. the memories will stay with me, and that's all that matters. well, that and salmon sashimi.

#1. Laughing

Have u ever realised how much teenagers laugh? Have u ever been driven half crazy when the teens that u're trying to impart vital information to start laughing, even though u have ur serious face on? Have u ever undertaken the impossible task explaining the birds and the bees to 400 teens at one go, and not get a single giggle?

it's true, teens laugh, a lot. some adults, ok, scratch that, most adults don't understand our need to laugh. Especially when someone did something wrong and we're being lectured about it. if we laugh, they think that we're being purposefully rebellious, irresponsible, and downright irritating. What adults dont understand is that laughing generally serves as a coping mechanism. i mean, what do u expect us to do? really. have a mass break-down-and-cry session? i think not.

all right, so some teens do try their best to be as irritating, annoying etc. as possible. but that doesn't mean that the rest of us are like that. imagine this scenario. four students are asked to go up on stage to apologise for something or the other that they did. we clap (and probably cheer) when they go up on stage, and when they get off. now most adults, in this case teachers, would start thinking/saying "do u think this is funny? do u think that doing [insert wrongdoing here] is funny?" in this horrible accusing tone as if we've just committed the Original Sin. while i don't doubt that from their point of view, we must have seemed pretty insane and rebellious to be cheering for a wrongdoing, they don't actually understand why we cheer. sure, some people do want to be rebellious and all, but am i wrong in saying that there are also those of us who cheer as a symbol to recognise that we know this is happening, that (sometimes) we know its not quite right, that we admire the four students' courage to actually go up there and apologise to a quarter of the school?

once again, i might be wrong. teenagers might be the horrible, annoying creatures that everyone else thinks they are.

laughing is also a way of hiding fear. have u ever had the feeling that if u didnt laugh, u would be so scared that u would break down and cry for a week?

#2. "i forgot to do my homework."

as most students would know, whenever someone says the abovestated sentence in class, the inevitable response from the teacher would be:

"I Don't Want Excuses!"

well, excuse me, teacher dear, why would anyone claim to have forgotten to do their homework unless they really did forgot to do it? i mean, if u really wanted an excuse, won't u have said, "i forgot to bring my homework" or "i lost it" or "my dog ate it" ? unless u consciously refused to do it (in which case i advise you to jus tell the teacher straight out cos if not ur gonna have to do it someday anyway), if u forgot , u forgot! its the truth! if u actually completed ur homework and didn't bring it, wouldn't u rather tell ur teacher that u completed it but didn't bring it instead of that u didn't do it at all?

see the difference?

any teacher who reads this, think about it. are u more likely to punish someone for not doing or not bringing their homework to school? are u assuming that students are so ignorant that they don't know that? why, then, would they say that they didn't do their homework unless they really didn't do it?

for those that still don't get what im trying to say: "i forgot to do my homework" is Not an EXCUSE!

That's the problem with Arts classes. We talk too much, think too much, feel too much. I mean, one doesn't hear of civil wars in Science classes. At least not as often.

Its all a matter of personalities. Arts ppl tend to have strong personalities, strong emotions. After all, you do have to feel for your subjects. Probably, not for econs, or history, or geog. But thats the problem. We're a lit class.

And when there are a myriad of strong personalities, the problem begins. If you get like-minded ppl with strong personalities, fine, no trouble. But when you get different ppl with strong personalities, well, basically you get the ingredients of a time bomb. And when the fuse burns down...

Everything goes to hell.

Our class politics can probably give most countries' a run for their money. Let's just say that the tension is so palpable that you can probably cut it with a knife. Or it you run straight into it, you'd probably get a concussion.

...i can't handle having a best friend. It's true. I can't handle having to share myself with someone else, my thoughts, my emotions, my soul. I would like to, of course i would, who wouldn't, but now that i'm actually getting close to it i'm terrified.

Of course i have had best friends before, when i was much younger, but come to think of it, i have never had only one best friend at any given time.

It has always been a group. Always. And in the rare case that i was very close to just one person, i have never had to do much in the way of giving. At least not in the typical 'best friend' fashion. It was always slightly distanced; we hung out together, we did stuff together, but we were never so close as to completely bare our souls to each other.

The prospect of having to bare my soul to another or even someone completely baring their soul to me is terrifying. I am an intensely private person. I can't handle situations like this. It makes me feel awkward and feeling awkward tends to make me pissed off at the person who made me feel awkward. Its a natural reflex kind of thing.

My newest 'best friend candidate' is almost everything in the description of best friends right at the top. She's the kind of person that likes that kind of buddy-buddy-touchy-feely relationship with their best friend.

I. CAN. NOT. STAND. IT.

Not that i have anything against her; she's a great person and i enjoy hanging out with her. But i would not want to be her best friend. She has already called me her best friend twice and it TERRIFIES me.

I spend practically the whole day with her, cos now i'm in JC and have many breaks between my lessons, and she takes almost the same subject combi that i take. It used to be better in the 1st 3 months, because we were part of a group, and could hang out with the others. but now ther're all somewhere else.

I don't mind spending so much time with her, but the thing is, the more we hang out together, the more she gets the idea that we are 'best friends'. And apparently, her defination of best friend includes bodily contact, for example touching my hair.

Let me just make one thing clear.

I DO NOT ENJOY BEING TOUCHED BY ANYONE ANYWHERE OTHER THAN MY ARMS AND SHOULDERS.

It pisses me off. Very much.

I CANNOT STAND IT.

To me, a best friend is someone who understands you. In my case, someone who understands and respects my need for personal space. Someone who doesn't make me want to claw out their eyes by violating said personal space.

Basically, don't come too close to me, both mentally and physically. I'm into lonerism.

And did i mention my need of PERSONAL SPACE?

To said girl, i don't mean to be rude or mean or hurtful, it's just the plain old truth. And if you can't accept that, then there's nothing i can do.

i was just going thru our Andara stuffs and messages... reminiscing abt the past, when all we had to worry abt were finishing the next page of Andara 3000, our (supposed to be) online manga, and maths hmwk from Wongie... remember how we planned characters and names and storylines...? and how we neva got anything done on time?

Now tt we're all apart... i guess the odds tt we'll get back together and finish Andara are pretty slim... i mean, we didn't even get it done when we were together for 2 yrs...

u noe sumthing... the script for Andara and quite a few pages are still with me...

Well, the posting results are out, and i'm posted to ajc, which was my first choice... which probably means that i should be happy.

right?

the thing is, i'm not entirely exhilarated to be posted to aj. don't get me wrong, there's absolutely nothing majorly wrong about aj. in fact, i really like it there, and the environment is comforting to me. so it's not the funnest, most exciting, most interesting place to be, but i'm not the funnest, most exciting, most interesting person either. so sue me.

what's preventing me from feeling completely jubilant is that i also happen to really like my second choice, which is digital media design at nyp... plus the fact that the person who is closest to being my best friend is there.

hai...

oh well, at least nyp is just across the road from aj. i'm not kidding. and my secondary school is beside nyp. basically the three schools form a large 'L' shape. guess i'm destined to study in that area for at least another 2 years... most probably 5.

after i get my a level cert i'll probably end up doing dmd anyway...

To the ppl who actually know what i'm talking about, i'm pretty sure u'll agree with me. Down with those b****es. Here's a piece of advice. No one forced u b****es to read other ppls blogs. No one is asking u to sit there and read nasty( and probably true) things about ur life which i'm pretty sure u already know all about. There is such a thing as the 'close window' button, which is in the top right corner of the window just in case u happen not to know. Since u chose to read it, don't complain about it. It was ur choice.

It was great. Me and Tian made a (crazy) decision to get costumes when we were already on the train. I ended up going with a blue dress with a white frilly apron and kitty ears. ^_^ Tian had a white/cream gown with angel wings and a top hat.

It felt realli realli cool to be actually cosplaying. I had only been to one cosplay prior to this and i felt kinda out of place then. This time was cool. Very.

Challenge 1:
A lady with snake hair (shoulders up)
duration: 4 days

Challenge 2:
A boy hugging a fluffy animal (hips up) BG: forest
duration: 5 days

Challenge 3:
A part human part animal lady basking in moonlight (full body)
duration: 6 days

Challange 4:
A group of water nymphs frolicking in water ( 3 people at least one must be full-bodied)
duration: one week

Rules
1 ) All pictures are to be cgied (adobe/painter/OC)
no montones allowed
2 ) All backgrounds should be painted (no copy & pasting)
3 ) Pictures must be submitted before due date or many many bad things will happened
4 ) If something crops up the artist will be given 2 days grace
5 ) No hentai (cute nudity allowed)
6 ) No limit on canvas size
7 ) Keep in mind the theme- Fantasy~
8 ) Character design must be original
9 ) Include the words : The Fantasy Chronicles; in your picture title
10) This is not a competition thus there is no wonderful attractive prizes, just some thing me and kei cropped up on the train ride home.

i am a loner... always have been... and i believe i alwaes will be... i used to try to be myself... and the person hu i tot was my fren jus ripped my heart out anf stepped on it... i used to haf best frens... in fact there were two periods of time when i had three best frens at once... sadly, tt didnt work out... my 'best friends' fought over me... another time i learned the hard wae tt even if u regard sumone as ur best fren, tt person might see things differently... so i decided to save myself and others a lot of grief and jus close myself off... havent had a best fren for 5 yrs...
