First look at my member status on the top left, sais im subscribed for a couple days, and I won't give another dime to this site, so I am just gonna go back to my old account, with a LIFETIME subscription and senior status.

Why did I leave in the first place?

Identity? Probably, hate getting comfortable with things like this, it becomes too real and I don't like to attach myself.

I've grown, I think I can handle it more, so I am going with the flow.

I know I've lost about 1,000 watchers by doing what I do continually, lots of people think im a huge dick/asshole/idiot/whatever, and you are all right, but the great thing is I just don't care anymore.

Of course im going to switch to zerocomplex, of course im going to resubmit work so everyone can see, and yes I have lots of new work I always throw in the mix.

~leesaf I have the reptile study prints framed, and I just want you to see them before we talk more, so just to let you know, I emailed you a couple times but I don't think you are getting them, reason why I make note of it here!

Everyone else I contacted by note/email about the print trades, so just note `zerocomplex or email me from now on to discuss anything further. Darin I read your email and am appraising the print, but if you want to just tell me how much you think its worth we'll go with that too.

Anywho, switching accounts, duck duck goose, musical chairs, xanax, life is fun, it takes a second to re-add my old account, I'll dance at your wedding and not get drunk I swear.

Hola,

Still around, atleast I think I am, haven't been online here much, with no work this week its nice to relax and prep some prints and start working on one of my pet projects. One thing I have noticed lately, is when I let people in, they just end up confused, pissed, hurt, and/or very bored.

Here is a small list of prints I going to make for people, if you aren't on the list, email me to make sure we agreed to trade, because all I have is notes and comments left on my journal, and if it ain't there, no trade. I might start selling some prints again, since I don't really print in excess, but I want to print more color and more black and white (with oils). At the moment I am working on a huge project, non photography related in a way, finished sanding and priming my glass and working on Desert, with oils.

Here is the people I am trading with, let me know is something is off:

gonzale
Karen
Anj
Senecal
Srivatsan
fangedfem

I know there are more, too many fumes this morning so I am not really here, VIDEO TAPE MY REACTION!

Anyway, someone wanna tutor me in French? I know the basics, and getting better, but I want to learn with ya know, someone who speaks the fucking language.

Just remember, this isn't real, and cobalt blue deep is beautiful.

PPS, R-Point, (Korean) movie sucks asspie, I loved The Prestige though, David Bowie needs a Nobel Prize for kicking so much ass.

anywho, gonna go take some xanax and climb into some staples or something.
Hello,

Well awhile back on my old account I talked about doing a print exchange, well that kinda fell thru for the most part, I had so many requests and most weren't on par but that is besides the point but I want to try something very similiar. So here is the idea, if you make traditional prints I would love to buy one from you. I love collecting prints and if you so happen to have one you'd like to sell me then let me know!

If you don't print traditional prints and would like to sell me a digital print I would love that too! But if you want to sell me a digital print I would greatly appreciate it if you signed it on the front for me.

Would anyone be interested in this? I have a small gallery in my studio and want to open a space to highlight works that I have come to collect, which would include yours. This is just to expose prints, it is not a place to sell work.

I would love to have participation with this.

P.S. The webcast of the instruction is going slow, no one seems to know much about it and I am having trouble finding the right technology to help, but I am looking.

EDIT Also want to include any medium! Whether be digital painting or traditional or anything!

Did you hate my last journal?
Killing Blond

I can’t find many reasons to deliberately look down on blondes, but I do find this general disinterest in letting my eyes wonder towards a chalky letdown. This being too casual accompanied by this weak drone who finds the dampness in breath to ask for a casual conversation only to be greeted with a heavy boot to the groin causing the vomit to rise before I can muster the politeness to say no.

Sometimes it’s these silly whores who find it necessary to whine on about fantasies of rape and displeasure that only seem to bore me and reduce my swollen nature. The only image I can conjure from this are eyes slowing receding back in the head, relieving the world of another “fantasy.”

This shyness angers me, ignoring it sends needles up down my spine in a vain effort to remind me how selfish I am that instead of paying attention I’m drifting on about how easy it is to scare people with words like purpose and love.

Simple, like killing blond, principals of lust ringing in the Bose Tri-Ports, realizing how extremely cut my abdomen is.

Few people know how easy it is to cave in someone’s face with a small billeting hammer, almost silent, as clean as my Waterman fountain pen, blue marble finish with oak encrusted handle and gold trim.

My thoughts drift to the circus, watching the rings come to life holding hands and gesturing gentle love, buying cotton candy and then forgetting I ever had it in my hand.

Hey guys and gals!

Well I been looking into this webcast sort of thing for a seminar I will be doing, and I am sorry to say it cannot happen. This doesn't mean something along the same lines wont happen! The problem with me webcasting this upcoming seminar is that the people who are paying to actually come to the seminar do not like the idea of me sharing this information on the web for free. I totally understand it, I just didn't think about it when I thought of the plan, so the webcast from my seminar won't happen.

The good news!

I want to make my powerpoint and personal instruction into a webcast! I can easily share my slides on a video with everyone, but the hard part is the work session and instructional session. If you know anything about printing color or any alternative process, its very dark and takes lots of time. So I need to get around this loop. I am still brainstorming ideas about how to make this into an internet presentation, so if you are experienced with such things, please email me; hello at keithfranke.com

Do you think I should take a break submitting? I never have had this many deviations up on any of my accounts to date, and I don't know if its worth it to just flood everyones messages?

And I am in talks with a fantastic designer for my new website, more details will follow, its just not a personal site, it will include everything about my passion for traditional photography and its processes.

Anything to add? Please comment

Hello everyone.

I was just curious about something, I am going to be running a printing seminar in the near future, and was wondering if anyone would be interested in attending? This is mostly a "virtual" attendance, since I know none of the people who watch me even live in the same state as me, let alone the same country.

But I was just interested to know if anyone wants to learn very detailed traditional and some of my very own printing techniques?

Some things I cover in most of my seminars:

Dye-transfer (3 different methods)

Ditaximony

Dye-destruction

All these are very consuming techniques, but I know a lot of people are very interested in them, especially transfers. Ditaximony is a style developed by myself and a friend, which is very detailed, and then destruction prints.

Let me know if you're seriously interested. Not exactly sure how I can turn the seminar into a webcast, so any help would be appreciated.

I think if a photographer, who considers them self an artist, wants to be successful in communicating ideas, they should consider the following;

"Images never tell us how to read them"

I find in photographers, mostly young photographers, that the content is so detached from personal communication its impossible to read into as art. I know everyone has this strong debate about art and photography, but beyond that its basic communication.

Do you make photographs of moments that are beyond your control? Like the street or performance?

Or is it a process of forethought and construction?

I am not throwing out theories, or how one should operate, but I think photographers really need to take a step back, especially from this craze about exterior function, and realize what exactly the images read.

I bring this up because after 15 seminars, and some related teaching I see a trend, and it bothers me.

I get sick of people asking me what I use, how I use it, and why I don't use something else in its place.

Stop analyzing, post modernist may have an issue with this, but images are images.

Anywho, time to stop talking.

Any thoughts?
