My bad. Nothing too exciting happening over here, except trying to finish mountains of homework. If I had any focusing skills it work a whole lot better, but hey.

I'm switching my major today from English to History, because frankly, I hate English. I love books, but the class? Does nothing for me. Oh well though, history is cool and the second and third year classes look awesome.

I also have two and a half months and then I'm done my first year of university. It's weird, I still don't even feel like I'm old enough to be in uni, much less almost done a year. It's been good though, I'm enjoying being here.

I moved up to North Bay on Saturday, which went surprisingly smoothly. No waits or anything, I was able to just bring my stuff up to my room with no problems at all.

Only one of my roommates was actually there on Saturday so it was only the two of us (out of four) until five o' clock Tuesday. Megan and I (roommate #1) are getting along really well, which is nice. A good deal of the weekend was spent participating a whole bunch of res activities.

Most of the rest of this week has been taken up with doing frosh week, which has been a blast. Had the muddy Olympics yesterday, which included events such as Condiment Twister (playing twister on a mat covered in canned beans, ketchup, mustard and muddy water). Also had The Amazing Race event today, which my team won. Yay!

Also did my first ever grocery shop sans parental units. It was fun, and I got lots of yummy food (though sadly, very little of that is sugary...)

So. I have received a third offer of admission today, so I've been accepted into all three universities that I've applied for. This is s hugely exciting thing for me, as I had my doubts about even getting accepted into one. But now comes the sucky part: I have to choose. I've ruled out Lakehead on account of the distance, so I'm left with Nipissing and Laurentian.

I actually went up to North Bay and Sudbury yesterday to look at both places, and overall I think that I like Laurentian better. The only thing is that Nipissing is supposed to have a bit of a better program. The big problem with that school is it looks kinda like a cross between a jail and highschool, and their options so far as extracurricular stuff suck. In my mind, the biggest thing they have going for them at the moment (aside from the really good reputation) would be the fact that you are guaranteed your own room.

Laurentian has a nicer campus, a nicer school, and extra curricular activities that include me learning how to hit people with sticks. Which I think is pretty sweet. And they have a beach on campus. The professor's that I talked to seemed really nice and the class sizes aren't to large. Downsides: I have to share a room. I suppose I could live with this considering I shared with my sister forever, but... I still want my own space. omg though, they have the most amazing library type room ever though. If you go upstairs in the library there's this huge circular room, three quarter's of which is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows. The rest of the room is filled with leather armchairs (facing these windows) and big comfy couches and a fireplace. I think I've fallen in love with this room. Ahem. I have been told that it is not proper grounds to choose a university on, so I shall stop thinking about it now.

Anyway, choosing is sucky. So far I'm leaning towards Laurentian (can you tell?) but everyone else in my family wants Nipissing. So, we shall see how all this goes. And I have five monthes before I leave. Scary.

So, semester two is beginning on Monday and I'm pretty stoked for it. I have math first period and despite the fact we generally do not get along apparently the class is an easy one. I then have spare and lunch, which should be good and then... writer's craft! To say I am excited for this class is an understatement. It sounds like it's going to be an absolutely fantastic class. And then I have drama. Which counts as a university level course. This never fails to make me smile.

This break thingie has been fantastically good so far, with the highlight being Thrusday. We took the Go Train down at 7:15 in the morning, and managed not to get turned into frogs by blackberry wielding suits (this was a real concern). We then proceeded to take the subway to the Eaton's center and hung around there for bit, eating food and trying on lovely dresses. We then wandered around Queen St. (and almost got lost) until we found ourselves at the World's Biggest Book Store (of course, I had to buy more books ♥, and then we went to HMV and looked at lovely music (I’m proud of myself for not spending money there). It was now time to find lunch! We went on a quest to find China Town and had a lunch that only I enjoyed. Kensington market was the next stop and we looked at all manner of fantastic clothes, and buttons.
After this, we decided to grab a streetcar that was going… well, we had no idea. A few stops later we exited and started walking through a ritzy area of Toronto where we found a store that sold god awful belts for 1.3k. We were not impressed and left in favour of riding the subway like lunatics until we caught out train home.
Upon our triumphant return to Barrie, we went to Boston Pizza and at lovely food. All in all, it was a very good. Especially because no one got shot.

Today was fun, we went on an epic adventure. We went to Ian's, Tim Horton's, Bulk Barn, Wal-Mart, and finally Pho J & J's for takeout. It was very yummy.

Nothing else overly exciting going on, but that's not necessarily a bad thing at all.

Co-op has been brilliant thus far and my grade twos are adorable. They can be trying at times, but overall I'm really enjoying it and am pretty sure that this is what I want to go to University for. So, yay!

Life in general has been going pretty well, also. I'm finally getting over the decidedly crappy mood I've been in for the last while. I'm thinking the fact that I have a three day weekend and a chance to actually sleep has a lot to do with that...

Tomorrow should be fun, ~FOG30 and I should be going shopping and I'm really hoping to go see Across the Universe at some point. It's not playing in Barrie, but I shall see what I can do.

Anyway, I feel like doing some writing. ~insanityquest, here I come!

Everyone else seems to be pretty psyched about going back to school, but I could certainly do with another few weeks. C'est la vie I suppose. My summer has simply flown by.

Italy was amazing, I had a fabulous time and met a whole bunch of really, really amazing people. It's a pity I'll probably never see them again. Florence was especially lovely, I'll have to make a point of going back there sometime, even if only to get some more pretty masks.

I had a few days at home to relax/recover before my Auntie Joan, and her partner Dawn came over from Ireland to visit. That was good fun, the pair of them were fun and we did a bunch of stuff with them. Those two weeks flew by as well.

These two weeks have also gone by really quickly. I've done (some) working but most of it was spent hanging out with friends and just relaxing. I've now seen Stardust three times, OOTP three times, Chuck & Larry once, and Nanny Diaries one.

I've also read the Twilight books by Stephenie Meyer at least twice each, those books are like crack I swear. Cheesy as hell but I love them to pieces. In fact I think I shall read New Moon again when I'm done writing this.

Tonight was fun, I went out with Becky and we saw Nanny Diaries, which was cute. I then arrived home and decided to clean my room. At ten o' clock at night. So I did. That was pretty boring, but at least now I can see my desk/floor. I'll save vacuuming for tomorrow though, when people aren't sleeping. I got my hair cut today as well, which was fun.

So overall I've had a really good summer, but I wish I could hit the rewind and slo-mo button and do it all again. Regardless of the relative whiny-ness of this entry, can't wait to see you guys again on Tuesday!

P.P.S Speaking of which Claudio (the lead singer of Coheed) came into Chapters one day while I was working; I nearly died. That pretty much made my entire life right there.

Tonight was kinda nice, my dad came up from Toronto to look at apartments here in Barrie and says that hopefully he'll be moved up here in the next month. I'm not holding my breath though, as he's been saying this for the last two years or so; one can hope though.
Afterwards we went out for dinner which was nice.

There's very little of an interesting nature going with me of late, just more of the same old, same old type deal.

School's going okay, with World Religions being my favorite class as of yet (although, I seem to suck at helping out on projects currently, so next time Court, you get to sit back -as much as you can, you being you- and I'll do most of it).

Weather permitting, I should be going to my cottage this weekend, which I'm pretty excited about, I love it up there. Lots of reading, quiet and awesome photo oppertunities.

Anyways, 'nuff babbling from me. *wanders off*

Well, lemme see... I have a bunch of homework due next week, but let's not talk about that. I'm trying to pretend that I really don't have to do it. *nods* Avoidance, my specialty.

I can't wait for Halloween, it's going to be so much fun, especially if I manage to get everything I need for my costume. I shall (hopefully) be raiding Value Village tomorrow and will see if they have any cool stuff there, and maybe see if my dad will take me down to China town to get my peacock feathers. *glows*

I bought (yet another) Goo Goo Dolls cd today, this time Let Love In (for those of you haven't heard me obsess about it yet, that would be their newest one which is sounding very good so far *has had it looping for the last hour or two*). Now, only two (?) more until I have all of them. All I really want now is the Prize Fighter Inferno cd, which they still haven't given a release date for. Or, if the won't release that I'll settle for a new Coheed comic, preferable IKSSE: 3 illustrated by Christopher Shy. *grins*
