I don't think I'll be able to make it through art college if I can't even keep up my grade in a high school portfolio class. That's why I'm thinking of dropping my art classes altogether. This way I won't have to stress about it anymore and I'll only be taking 3 classes. If I switch my English class to zero period, then I'll be able to leave after second period (I'd only be taking English, Physics and Math). Not sure if they'll let me do that, though. The school's a real bitch when it comes to convenient schedule changes.
I hate to give up on art, but my mom brought up a pretty good point about my career choice. The entertainment industry is a betch to get into and it doesn't pay all that well, whereas nurses are always in high demand and I'd have a starting salary of over $120,000 right out of college. Plus my mom can help me through school and stuff since she's a nurse too. Getting my degree will be hard, but my mom says the actual job is pretty simple: Put people to sleep before surgery, get lots of money. Sounds like a sweet deal to me. The only problem is that most of the colleges with nurse anesthesia programs are in Miami. It's good 'cause I could probably live with my aunt for a while, but I'd be kinda far away from everyone. :/
I'm not really sure about any of this yet. I'm gonna talk to my mom about it some more before I make any decisions.



On a lighter note, I beat the endless setlist on Rock Band last night. Played drums on hard. I has legendary status now. Also, I have no life.

My Roxas cosplay is an epic failure, so I'm giving up and going to bed. There's just no way I'll be able to finish it. I think I'll just wear the wig and accessories with regular clothes and I might bring my Hitsugaya costume.

Okay hookers, listen up.


My mom, being the awesome person that she is, just booked us a hotel room for Friday and Saturday. She requires that you each pay her $50 at some point in time.

The bad news is that the room only holds 4 people. We're gonna try to fit 5, though. (I just hope my mom doesn't mind...) This means that it'll only be my mom, Keyla, Tierra, Jett and myself. I'm sorry Keyla, but there's no room for Kelvin and it'd be awkward for him to be with a bunch of girls (including my mom) in a hotel room. Chris and Katya will still be going everyday so they can bring him, right? I'd hate for him to miss out just because we don't have enough room.

I'm gonna ask my mom if we can bring an aero bed or something so there'll be enough sleeping space for all of us. Otherwise 3 people will be sharing a bed. o_o I think 5 is the most we can fit in the room without being cramped or getting caught by the hotel.

Here's the deal with rides: My mom has a small car, so we can't take everyone with us.
I can give you a ride, Jett, since you live so close. Just come to my house after school when you're ready. You'll probably need a ride here though, since you'll have a lot of crack to carry. Maybe I can convince my mom to pick you up.
Keyla, can you, Tierra and Kelvin get a ride from Chris and Katya and meet us there?

I'm not sure about what time we'll be leaving yet because some of you need time to go home after school and get your crack together first. Lemme know what time you think you'll be ready to go. I want to be on the road by 4pm. Is that reasonable? Opening ceremonies start at 6pm, so we wanna have time to get settled and look around first, right?

I don't know what your plans are, Alyssa. I wish we could've worked you into the hotel plans, but there's really nothing I can do about that now. I'd let you cram in with us, but since my mom's going to be there I really don't want to piss her off by having so many people in one small room. We shouldn't even have 5 people in there to begin with. But if you're willing to pay for the room and if someone can provide another bed, we might be able to work something out. Progress:
Hair- My mom won't let me cut my hair (as expected), so I'm just gonna buy a wig on eBay and style it myself.
Jacket- I still need to find a pattern for it. Otherwise, I'll be ripping up some old t-shirts and studying the seams. lol
Shirt- I found the perfect pattern and materials for it. The pattern is for kids though, so I'll have to make some adjustments.
Pants- Couldn't find a pattern. Guess I'll be ripping up some pants too. lol
Shoes- Complete
Accessories- I made the rings out of some fabric leftover from my last cosplay. My mom is gonna order the wristband from eBay.

The move started at 6:00pm and ended at 12:00pm the next day. I hardly remember it because I was so tired. We didn't get any sleep. It was non-stop moving. Well, actually I did manage to get a couple hours of sleep in my dad's closet in the master bathroom. (I was watching the dogs while the guys brought all the furniture into the house.) I was at the new house for the whole move. My job was to unload the car everytime my mom or dad came with more stuff. I didn't get to say goodbye to my old house. Before the movers came I was sitting on the patio with the dogs. Then when my mom came with the movers I was rushed into her car with the dogs and taken to the new house without even being told what was going on. It sucked. I hate moving. I never want to do it again. It was so bad that my mom is suing the moving company. The movers were complaining and being lazy and begging my mom to let them go home. They called their girlfriends so they could beg my mom too. They even made her go get them McDonalds because they said they were too hungry to work. When they started unloading stuff at the new house they raided our fridge after they saw me drinking a Mountain Dew. One of them asked me if I had any cigarettes. 0_o They banged up a lot of the bedroom doors when they were moving the furniture and they made sure to put all the fragile boxes on the bottom of the piles. And to top it all off, they left at 5:00 in the morning after moving only half of our stuff. So we had to move the rest ourselves.
I hate the people who bought our house. They're all a bunch of snobby, arrogant jackasses. They wanted a ton of stuff from us. They took all of the ceiling fans (including the ones outside), our outside summer kitchen, the washer and dryer, an extra $3,000 for "maintenance", and they wanted us out of the house by a date they chose. They were so picky about the moving date that they were there inside our house watching us move our stuff! And their bratty little son was swimming in our friggin pool! And the whole time they were complaining that we should've been out of the house already. Gah! It's not our fault that the moving people were supposed to be there at 3 and they showed up at 6. I hate those people. It makes me sick thinking that that stupid brat is probably using my room. *sigh*

Hanyways, in other news my grandma is back in the hospital. Well, I shouldn't say back. Technically she's been in the hospital since April. She's been in and out of the hospital and rehab center. She was in pretty bad shape before and we thought we were gonna lose her. That was the worst feeling I've ever had in my life. I was at my grandma's bedside holding her hand thinking it was the last time I'd ever see her alive. But she got through it and ended up making almost a full recovery. She's funny that way. So anyway, she was in rehab for awhile and was getting better until a few days ago. My aunt and I were visiting her at the rehab center when the doctor said she had to go to the hospital due to a high BNP. Even though that's normal for her. But I guess they didn't know that. So now she's in the hospital again and the infection in her foot is getting worse. (she has some kind of cholesterol build up in her toe.) Tomorrow they're gonna do some kind of surgery to see if they can save her foot. I really hope they can since my grandma has enough trouble walking as it is. There's like no way she could come live with us if she can't walk. Hopefully I'll get to go with my mom to see her tomorrow.

I succeeded in getting 2 summer jobs. The first one is my usual babysitting job for my mom's friend. Only now I have a set schedule. I babysit every Thursday for 12 hours. That gets me $60. Although last time I got a $20 bonus for some reason even though I was only there 9 hours. Whatev. I'll accept bonuses anytime for any reason. lol My second job is dogsitting for another one of my mom's friends. (she refers me to all her friends at work) One of her dog's has cancer and needs to be checked on while she's at work. So I go over there everyday to check on her for a couple of hours. I feed her, take her out and cuddle her 'cause she's so cute. Both the dogs are miniature Collies. They're so adorable and soft. Brandy's the older of the two (and the one with the cancer). Zoe's the young hyper one who looks like a chibi version of Lassie. lol It's fun and gets me an easy $30 per week. So far I've made $110. And I plan on saving it. I'm gonna need that money for loot at Jacon next year. ^ ^

Okay....so I guess I'll start where my last journal left off: Jacon.
My aunt saved the day when she came up from Miami to vist. She's awesome at sewing and stuff, so she helped me finish my Hitsugaya costume. It came out so good!! I never would've been able to do it without her. She stayed up late into the night to help me finish it in time for the con and she didn't mind at all. I love her and her stoic-ness. ^ ^ Hanyways.... So I went to Jacon with my mom and my best buddy ~Chibi-Srixx. We stayed at the hotel so we could be there all 3 days. It was my first real con I guess. (I went to Megacon, but that doesn't cout b/c it's a sci-fi geek con with some anime) Jacon is 100% anime with a side of awesomeness. lol The main thing I did while we were there was enter the costume contest. It was pretty cool being on stage and hanging out with other cosplayers. (not to mention nerve-racking since it was my first time and I had no idea what to do.) I didn't win anything, but I didn't expect to. (there were some pretty badass costumes there) It was fun just being involved. I don't think I'll enter next year, I'll just watch. I'm gonna be wearing the same costume, so it'd be pointless to enter again. I was fortunate enough to get a Roxas plushie from my mom and a real, kick-ass Death Note from Chibi (thanx so much!!! ) since I'm in severe debt to my mom. She bought all the materials for my costume + the tickets for Jacon + the hotel room. That's why I need a job this summer Oh, while we were walking around in our costumes (Chibi cosplayed as Rukia) we were stopped by a lot of people for pictures and stuff. We even took group shots with other Bleach cosplayers. ^ ^ Some of the people were professional photographers and worked for animebelle.com so go check out that site to see pics of Chibi and I! I'll also try to put some pics up on here if my mom didn't already delete them from her camera. Well, Jacon was more than I expected and I had a really good time, so I'm looking forward to going again next year. (next time I'll bring lots of spending money ^ ^)

Plans for the summer:
1) Pack/move/get settled in new house. I can't do anything until we're done moving so for now the rest of my plans are on hold. We should be completely done moving by the end of the month, so I guess it's not that long. The new house is pretty cool. It's close to school so I can walk there now instead of riding the friggin bus. It's also really close to a little shopping center so I can get a job at one of the stores there and walk to work. (I can't drive yet, so I gotta work somewhere close) The house is pretty much finished. Well, it was already built when we bought it, they're just painting it and putting in the appliances and what not. It's pretty big I guess. Bigger than the house I'm in now. It's a 2 story...kinda. There's only like one room upstairs. (unfortunately it's my brother's room >< ) It's got a bedroom, a bathroom, and a gameroom for us to share. I'm just happy I have my own bathroom now. My brother's a slob. Now I can have my own, nice, clean bathroom. ^ ^ lol My new bedroom's bigger than my old one, but it has carpet so I can't do the same asian theme as in my old room. Whatev . My room's in the corner of the house and has a door by it that leads out to the pool. The pool won't be finished till after we move in, but I don't mind b/c I think it's fun to jump on the huge mounds of dirt they dig up. lol
2) Get a job. I desperately need a job. I have to pay back a lot of people and save up money for some stuff that I want. That includes Photoshop, a Wii, a car (if I ever get my friggin licence), and spending money for cons. Since I'm only 15 I can't get a good job. I'm basically limited to fast food places. I really don't wanna work at a fast food place. They're nasty and usually only the bad kids work there. I just wanna do something easy and behind the scenes. Like stocking shelves at Walmart or something. However, since I'm a girl they won't let me do that. Why do they always make girls work the cash register? I don't wanna fake a smile all the time and talk to customers. But that's probably what I'm gonna be doing since I really don't have any other options.
