A big fat... N... O....

NO SPOILERS:
It you have never read the first book, you MIGHT like it, depending on your preferences for movies. If you HAVE read the first book, you will DEFENENTLY find plenty to groan about! It will be a cheap DVD for me, I may pop in once in a while when I am bored, and want to watch something, while doing something else.... Sure it has it's funny moments, good moments, little things thrown in especially for the readers that hint at future things to come that will make the readers go, "omg hahaha!" and "oooohhh!" while leaving everyone else in the dark thinking, "wtf?"


(possible) SPOILERS:
The acting... was horrible! Bella wouldn't have been so bad if she didn't get so over dramatic and all huffy at times. Edward... was just a disaster! He is far from the Edward portrayed in the books. They defenently all overacted, and tried way too hard, instead of naturally letting it flow. This Edward had no sleek and mysterious cool to him at all. He didn't speak in a cool and strong voice... or with his airy additudie that I loved most about him in the book... this Edward was either way to over dramatic and aggressive.... looked like he was about to burst into tears when he talked to Bella seriously, or looked like a wimp when he was trying to defend her. The character that stayed really true had to have been Charlie and Jasper, they were good. Bella's mom was a bimbo... Mike was funny but not how he should have been... as well as the other of Bella's human friends. Alice was... okay. Besides the bad acting, the movie played out I think just like Prisoner of Azkaban did... the movie was very choppy. It went from one thing, to another, to another, without any real smooth transitions. It's like they were so scared of upsetting fans for cutting things out, they ruined it even more by squishing everything together, and making certain things happen way to fast. Like when Jacob first appears and how Edward shows Bella how he "sparkles" in the sunlight.... it was all wrong. Not only the choppyness, but the way they tried to play out this story... I felt like I was watching a daytime drama the whole time with all the swish pan camera angles, all the crappy music played over the so called, "montouge", and they way they lit some of the scenes... like the piano scene where Edward is playing, "Bell's lullaby"... what the heck is with the dim dramatic lighting where it seems like the piano is in the middle of the room? This movie really did try TOO hard.... Edward didn't drive fast enough... Bella didn't make any comments on it... the vampires didn't move as fast as they should have... and that WHOLE car scene... Edward WAS NOT supposed to get out of the car... because he was afraid he would kill them... in the movie he gets out... stares at them.. gets in a leaves... wtf?


So my final say?
If you haven't read the book, and you want to.... forget the movie and read the book!
If you have read the book, go ahead and see it.... but once is more than enough...
And if you haven't read the book, don't plan to read the book, but thought about seeing the movie anyway? DON'T! You don't need anymore reason not to want to read the book.....

P.S, the whole time I saw Jacob and Bella on screen together I kept shrieking in my head, "REENNEESSMEEE UUGGGHHHHH!!!!!" and died a little inside.

Obama has been named the next President, thank GOD! I am so excited for Bush to get the hell out and get Obama in there, to fix this bad economey, get us our jobs back, help me with my college education, and more importantly get back our good foreign affairs, and show the world America is not corrupt and evil! Let's not forget getting rid of foreign oil anbd trying new ways to save our earth!

I had class all day today, from computer when I kept a watch on things and not payed attention to what was going on in class, then to Math where I rushed down afterworld to find TV's all set up in the main building halls just for this event! Then in Pottery, we had a good connections of friends sending us text messages, and finally we couldn't take it anymore. My friend and I packed up early and left for the main building. On one of the TV's in the hall I saw on the screen, "Obama named President" I cried with joy, and my friend and I hugged and danced down the hall into the main room with the big TV where they were having the party get together for it! I am SO happy it turned out this way, and so is the world outside the U.S!

But like his amazing speech said, this is JUST the beginning, just an opportunity to change things, we still have to keep going strong!

Bush, get your tired ass out of the way, and make way for President Obama!

Thing's we need help on----
Lina Cosplay:
Chest Plate- Those silver things that go across her chest from one shoulder guard to the other. Dunno what to make them out of.
Oval Jewels- Like the ones of her right shoulder armor and the red ones on her cape. Dunno where to get them and don't know how to do casting or whatever that is called. The round ones are going to be plastic Christmas ornaments.
Shoulder Armor: Mainly the right side. I need something that will look similar to what I am using for the right side: [link] (I's hard plastic, part of an old Darth Vader mask I beleive) And how to keep them on. Straps under the arm alone wont do it, I've tried with costume armor.
Belt Things- The brown square things that are all over her belt, I have no idea what those are or how to make them
Sword- No ideaaa how to do that... I'll probably end up buying a cool looking short sword I saw at Spirit before Halloween is over.

Gourry Cosplay:
Armor- Like my nightmare. And no I don't know how to use polystyrene, have the money for it, or supplies. I need to make her shoulder, legs and chest armor. Also that little thing over his stomach that looks the same as the armor.
Wig- More suggestions where to get a good quality but wont cost over $50 long blonde one with bangs, don't know if we should try to style them or leave them alone
Sword of Light- Can't leave this out of the cosplay sadly... damn... so far all we got is a cheap walmart light saber. Any ideas how to make the handle look like the light's?

Everything else we pretty much got worked out.

I know it has been said that Revolution would be based on Novels 9-15, but so far, with Zanaffar and Zumma, it really feels like that was false information (does anyone know if that was 100% confirmed by the producers?), and Revolution is based off novels 1-8, the ones without the story line of Ruby Eye, Rezo or Lord of Nightmares. More specifically novel 5, "The Silver Beast" which is about Zanafarr coming back.

So it leaves me wondering if we won't see Dynast or Sherra at all, but instead the second arc of Revolution will be all about Zumma, like in novel 6, "Vezendi's Shadow" where Lina, Gourry, Zel, Xellos and Amelia travel after Lina gets the warning, "Come to Vezendi or someone will die." In the novels Zumma dissapeared just like in the anime, after getting his arms hacked off... before coming back.

So Slayers TV would be based off Novel's 1 and 3 "The Ruby Eye" and "The Ghost of Sairagg"

Slayers NEXT have novel 2 in it from episodes 3-5, "The Sorcerer of Atlas" then be based off Novels 4, 7, 8, "The Battle of Saillune" "Gavv's Challenge" and "King of the City of Ghosts"

And then Revolution would be based off novels 5 and 6 "The Silver Beast" and "Vezendi's shadow"

I don't wanna be right cause I really wanted to see Sherra and Dynast in the anime, especially since I can't exactly read enough kanji for the novels so it would have been nice to see it in anime... but I really think that's whats going to happen with the second arc....

What does everyone else think?

Anyway, hey!

Kumoricon was a blast! One if not the best year at Kumoricon yet! You can see all the footage I took there if you go to my youtube account here: [link] I have it all set up in a playlist to make it easier to watch them all in a row. I got the convention bug so this year I might go to two other anime conventions, Sukuracon and MEW con.

Right now I'm job hunting (going to need lots of con money!) and I'll be starting college at the end of this month, I'm super excited about it. I'm going to try my hardest to expand my art skills and better myself, but I'm mostly excited about meeting new people.

Life right now has its ups and downs but at the moment I feel pretty good, like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and everything around me I'm breathing now is fresh air. Everything with my friends couldn't be better, now I just go got get the hell out this house, but I keep reminding myself it's only two more years till I get to live at the university in another city!

Goals for now are to focus on my education, save for a car and get enough for living when I move into the university dorms, get my license, and get a transferable job.

Lots of fanart coming your way, more Slayers! Speaking of Slayers, Revolution episode 10 was OMG insane! I loved it so much! The epicness of it all just took my breath away, especially the spell Lina cast! You know which one if you've seen it! It was great to see it again all cleaned up and awesome looking! I'm really impressed with the anime Zumma! They did the novel version justice!

No time to draw and color new things. I actually have a bunch of drawings sitting on my desktop half colored and waiting to be finished so I can put them up. I just hope I finish coloring them before I decide I dont like the drawing anymore. Especially one of them that took forever to draw, and is a job to color, which is of 17 characters of mine. Ugh....

I finally decided to go as Female Ranma to kumoricon since it would bes easiest and cheapest, not to mention Ranma is cool. I got the money for the wig and ordered it, the pattern for the cosplay is on it's way, then I got to buy the fabric. I have the shoes and the belt.

My video camera is missing which pisses me off. I need it for Tuesday when my friends and I get our caps and gowns for graduation at the end of the school day. I've been working on a video of us since freshman year and that was going to be the last scene but with missing the camera I cant record it and the tape with some footage I need is also in there. I thought I brought it home but now Im beginning to wonder if someone stole it from my bag at school, cause I looked everywhere here and even cleaned my whole room and I cant find the damn thing.

Speaking of graduation I only have Tuesday, Wed, Thu and Friday left of classes. Then next week on Mon and Tue I have finals and I'm done with school. Ugh... It would be nice if I didn't have so damn much to do before then (Besides finishing the video and finding my camera.... grrrr) I got to get my class work in, finish videos for video production class, start and finish my last painting for painting class, finish my pottery project, buy a shirt load of t-shirts for my screen print in printmaking and alter some of my prints. I aslo got to collect everyones contact information and all this other crap. Maybe try for my math CIM though I doubt I'll get it cause math sucks and should be burned.

So If I do any uploading of pics at all they'll most likely be old ones and moved into scraps.

Apparently, there is this author who has signed on for her book to be published, and she is looking for student illustrators. I got her phone number to check into it, and before I knew it I have an appointment to meet with her Friday to talk about her book and my drawings.

Too many to count xD Most of them don't make it on DevArt though. They're more sketches for stories.

14.] What kind of paper do you draw your pictures on?
Computer paper, notebook paper (little sketches), sketchbook paper.

15.] What kind of paper do you use for rough sketches and drafts?
Whatever's at hand.

16.] How long does it take you to ink something?
A bit more than what it took to originally draw the picture. I try to be really careful to not let the ink bleed but connect all the lines to save myself hassle once in photoshop.

Yes, but they are not published online. I do them in books full of white paper. I don't have the patience to make them all nice and neat with tones, ect for online. Maybe one day.

18.] Do you like comics? Are they fun to make?
Hell yeah they are fun! But alot of work, especially when it comes to character design and plot, setting, and character development.

A few drawings yes.

HELL YES! @.@ Everything of The Slayers, anime, manga, novels, ect. Sailor Moon, Fushigi Yugi, Blue Seed! Almost all of Shoujo! I just finished Claymore and Kanon. Now I'm watching Clannad, Rental Magica, ect.

I don't really like American cartoons. Too little kiddish. I do like Family Guy, Furutrama, and Robot Chicken.

Yes, I love to read.

No. I strictly beleive in being self taught.

I like the Final Fantasy characters but I don't play it. I don't have patience for RPG games.

Beside Harry Potter and manga, lol. The Slayers novels are amazing, and I really love Dreamland by Sarah Dessen.

Anyway.... I finally updated my Elfwood account yesterday... O.O *blinks* Not by much though, just my profile mainly. Telling anyone who stops by there that all my artwork is found on here now. I did delete a few fanarts so I could upload a couple new ones there, but that's about it. I can't add anymore fanart there without having more fantasy/sci-fi. I ALWAYS hated that about Elfwood. That and you can't add things like photography and paintings and animations, ect. It's really lame. But I also took the liberty to put all my old elfwood drawings in my scraps here, so feel free to take a look at the horridness that once was my skill. Also, looking back and browsing on that site, I remembered how rude people were there compared to DeviantArt. And I HATE how anonymous people who arent members can add comments there. So yep. Thats it.

There's a bunch of old drawings from Elfwood I actually plan to re-do. Should be awesome.

I really don't wanna go as school girl, its overdone.
And I'm trying to avoid a wig but at this point I don't how much of a chance I have. (I can dye my hair red or blonde, its naturally black) halfway between shoulders and waist.

So, I kept thinking to myself throughout this thing, This is the best fucking movie EVER!! And it really is an AWEOSME AMAZING movie!! But thats all, an awesome MOVIE. If you were ever dissapointed in a Harry Potter movie for not being like the book, well... you'll be fine at first, you understand, a few things have to be crushed for time, choped, yes its all understandable. But CHANGED??? I knew ahead of time it was changed that Cho Chang was the one who told Umbridge about the D.A, yes fine I made my peace with that. I knew they cut St.Mungos hospital all together as well and no mundungans and no Sirius's mirrios. .

But what I didnt expect was the CRAP of a scene the "Snapes Memory" would be. THREE SECONDS LONG!! Seriously, Harry fired back Snapes spell to penitrate his mind, hit Snape, saw his memories in hurried flashes. That was IT!! That was the first huge blow to me. Okay fine yes....

Then the next thing that got me was while in the department of mysteries Harry picks up the prophecy and it says it, infront of Ron, Hermione, Nevielle, Luna and Ginny, yes, all of them hear it.... the first huge change.... ok... ticked me off a bit....

They cut all the rooms people ran into like the brain room including the circular spinning room all together, but I was fine with that, again for time purposes ect. But THISS is what PISSED me off SOOO bad!! SIRUIS'S DEATH WAS BULL SHIT!! First off, Sirius calls him "James" right before he falls through the Veil, wtf is that about? THEN THEN Bellatrix hits him with not a stunning spell or a red-jeted light, but an AVADA KADAVRA which doesnt even effect him like it should with the instandt death but kind of paralizes him as he looks to Harry and falls thorugh the veil. I started to cry, I wanted to, I almost did as I watched as Lupin pulled Harry back with sadness. I probably would have cried later when Harry smashed Dumbedores office furios and crying over Siruis IF THAT HAPPEND!!! They cut it. It shows Harry at Hogwarts, packing his stuff, and haves a flashback to him and Dumbledore calmy talking about the prophecy (which they cut a bunch of the original phrophecy out btw) not even mentioning Sirius, just confirming that neither can live while the other survies.....

Kreacher was in it, three times, and wasnt blamed at all for the death of Siruis, hell, Harry didnt even manage to contact anyone at Grimmuald place (which isnt mentioned by that name, just headcorters to the OOTP) before Umbridge cathes him.

And since there was almost no talk about the prophecy, the whole thing between the choice between Harry and Nevielle being the choses one wasnt mentioned.



So all in all, Im not sure what my true hearted opinion is yet on where this movie stands with me. The comedy was freaking awesome, the effects ect. It was creepy, finally a dark Harry Potter film for us fans over the age of 10. It was true to the books in darkness and there was actually blood in this one, it showed the blood on Harrys hand, and I was shocked by the scene where Mr.Weasley was attacked as well as the injured D.A members who were in the ministiry. Umbridge was truely done justice, her evil truley shines through in this movie. The director does an amazing thing using flascks from all the movies to make them all seem as a whole, and digs deeper into the next book even, throwing hints about HermionexRon and even GinnyxHarry as she jealously watches him aim for Cho.

If it wasnt for those 2 stupid changes about Sirius being Adava'd and the no tanrum or death talk in Dumbeldores office. In my head, reading the book, the scene in his office is the climax, or the highest peack of tension, not the ministry. Harry is suppose to really be angry and sad over Siruis, his emotion is suppose to spill into us and make us sad as well, if they had kept that scene in the movie, it would have made it so much better, and I fell I would have cried then, but there was not enough time to cry for Siruius I should say, only feel sad and then wonder why the fuck he was Avada'd and not stunned.

So, lets say I didnt read the HP book (which ur dumb if you dont) and saw this, out of 5 stars I would give it 5.
But, there is no helping it.... because I do read them, I give this movie 31/2-4 stars. Maybe after I see it a few more times itll settle into my mind and my raiting will change, but OOTP is my favorite book, and those few but huge changes just pissed me off. As a movie completely unrealted to the books.......best movie of the summer, AWWESSSOOMMMEEE and best HP movie as a movie I think..........

Its a Love-HATE relationship at the moment.

My moms on a cleaning rampage, so Ive been cleaning out the garage and organizing tubs after tubs of my stuff that was in there. Im also working to re-write one of my fanfictions for the Kumoricon contest. Its currently 11 chapters long, and I'm re-writing chapter 5 right now. Also, im on my last ends hope trying to get my AMV from 915MB to 100MB for the contets without looking like crap, and its not happening, so this year I might not be able to enter or ever again if they put another minimal MB limit. I'm aslo trying to memorize a song for the Karoke contest and sa far as my Cosplay, im going as Ise Nanao from Bleach, and buying my cosplay, but the girl making it hasnt gotten back to me yet once she asked for my measurements and I gave them to her.

I'm preparing for a Pool Party as well as hosting a Harry Potter Pre-Book Party for the "Deathly Hallows" which comes out in 2 weeks, and then I'm going dressed up to the premeire of the movie which is next week, woot! I'm still waiting for my report card in the mail as well as my PickelPack from Mugglecast T-shirt and my two new Slayers volumes 7&8 books!!

My drawing requests are going slow but they are going. Thats all im going to say on that, since Ive contacted everyone personally who asked for one. So, cause theres a back up im not excepting new requests sorry. And Im also watching over a contest I set up on Youtube for my SeiyaxUsagi club, winner gets a drawing of whatever they want. Hmm... I should check up on that, since it eneded 2 days ago.

Well I need a shower so later I can go shopping for party goods and last minute fireworks for tomorrow. Not looking forward to being at the park and then out later to see the fireworks with these allergies.... I WANT MY SHOT!!!

1) Getting caught up in History among other classes, im behind but thats cause Im starting to get into a skipping habbit again. Summers coming I cant help it.

2) Re-reading Harry Potter and taking notes down about interesting things I find and want answers too by the end of the series while IM at it. Currently Im on Chamber of Secrets, 35 pages in. I finished Sorcceres Stone today after school. Ah, good reads.

3) Creating my first entry for the AMV contest at Kumoricon. This is NOT going smoothly. Pinnacle is being a slow tard more than usaual and it sounds like this year theres a 125 limit on MB. This means I might not enter. Ive NEVER gotten one of my AMVS lower than 800 MB before without having it look and sound like youtube crap!!! Dont ask me why, I dont know how to fix it.

4) Im also TRYING so hard to write more fanfiction for the contest at Kumoricon. "Story Untold" will be the one Im entering, and I want it to be around five chapters, not one, when I enter it.

5) TRYING to stay caught up in Japanese 103, but Im already behind. And no one *&*(& helps me with my work in class. So Im going to ask my friend whos takien Japanese in Cali to get online and help me sometime. Psshht.. the only one who actually helps me doesnt even live in the same state. Pathedic. I think hes better than anyone in my class anyway.

6) Im currently in charge on the Anime Booth for club day, when the incoming freshman of next year come to visit. How did this happen? Im not even president or Vice-President, and yet I feel like I care more about that club and do more for it than anyone else. Things are really going to take a turn for the better if Im vice-Pres next year. I cant be president, cause the ranks move up, we dont get to vote. And our pres is graduating this year so our vice will move up to pres, leaveing her spot open. I have to do this over Prom weekend to, which is this Saturday. Im just going to dance really. Im not exicted since I dont have a date and am going with friends.

7) Working on another Slayers drawing, Im almost done coloring it. Im doing the shading right now. Then I just have to come up and do the background.

8) I wanna start working on my Cosplay for Kumoricon too. Shopping at goodwill and looking for fabrics, getting a pattern, ect. But I dont think that will really start happening until June. I got more for my 2008 cosplay than this years.

WHATEVER you beleive in, to help me get through this STUPID Japanese final and pass the class.

I studied from 9am-4:30, and now my mind is MUSH and I cant remember anything.

I have 2 quizzes to make up tonight, along with taking my actual final, which Im praying to god is alot of multiple choice and my mush will go away so I can actually remember what I studied

On a more aristic side of my news, once again, I have no *&*&^& Scanner. So there wont be pictures for a while. Because we have one of those printer/scanner/ all in one things and our printer doesnt work. AT LEAST WE COULD HAVE THE DAMN THING HOOKED UP FOR A SCANNER!! Tokyopop will release Slayers Novels 7 and 8 in JULY 2007!!!!!!

As you know Tokyopop stopped at number 6, leaving it right in the middle of the story and pissing fans off extremely.
They said because us fans kept loyal and presistant about them to keep going, they have decided to go ahead and do two more.

They will not translate all 15 books of the series they said, but at least this way one story arc of the series will be done, so we wont be left off in the middle of a story. They will gladly allow any other company that wants to take over the books and translate them too do so, so not all hope is lost. And they didnt mention it, but fan translations of books 9-15 are now LEGAL cause they dropped the rights on them after book 8.

TO ORDER!....
Books 7 and 8 will NOT be coming out in stores. This is going to be a print on demand only. As in you order it, then they print it for you. You have to oreder it straight through the offical TokyoPop website.

So I am working on a Slayers fanfiction or maybe doushijn.
I have 2 ideas for sepearte stories, but they have so many things in common, im trying to think of a way to make them one.

Now here are the ultimate questions going through my mind I need your opinions on!!!
All the characters are older, its been years since Slayers has ended, and they have gone their own ways and will reunite.

1) Lina's boobs? Bigger or still small?
>>I can see this going both ways, a scene like Gourry looks at her and sighs that she hasnt changed even though its been years and then her hurting him. Or them meeting her again and thinking something like how shes aged for the good over the years.

2) Amelia's hair shorter or grown out?
>>I can picture her Linas age with long flowy black hair which will make Zel happy, and I can picture her with shorter hair, which one?

3) Should Zel be human?
>> He wont start this way but should he become human in the end? Would Zel still be the Zel we've known all through Slayers if he finally became human?

4) Love Triangle?
>> Its common and iteresting, but should it be done for Slayers? Im talking of course about Lina-Zel-Gourry. It will be Gourry Lina but should Zel love her as more than a friend in it?

5) Luna Inverse?
>>Linas mysterious sister. NO I will not make her marry or be related to Xellos, sorry, lol. BUT should she be good or evil? And just why IS Lina scared of her? I think I have my reasoning behind that, kinda a harsh love, but does anyone have more background on her even if its from other fanfics, like a common theory or soemthing. I need more background research in her.
