I saw a line form outside the icecream store when they were giving away free cones, despite the storm. It meandered down the length of a block, and children with mixed expressions of pleasure and displeasure pushed against their parentals. They licked their scoops, shivered beneath umbrellas and raincoats, and experimented with velocity to send puddles splashing against passerby. I marveled at the tenacity of the City of Freaks and Roses. Icecream in the midst of hail. They don't even blink at the rain, do they? I love my city.

Watched first episode of FLCL.
Reaction: Aww~~So cute~~~ They're soooo cuuute~~~
And ...Wtf?...WTF?!?

I settled back down enough to hit play on episode two.
Reaction: WHY ARE THERE ROBOTS COMING OUT OF HIS HEAD?!!!!!
And ...Did that kid just sync with a robot? O.o YAY!! COOL! ...Ew.

And so I continued on to episode three.
Reaction: Why am I watching this? ...What...what..what IS THIS?
And ...panties.

By the time I got to episode four, I knew it was useless to question or resist.
Reaction: Wha...? Whaaaa~~~????????????? BWAHAHAH. Nice bat.
And ~Teehee~ Eyebrows.

The fifth episode made me just so excited and happy I practically fainted.
*Sighs dreamily* I love Conti. I love the relationships in this show.
Unbelievably amazing and ridiculous is this show. But mostly I love Conti.

I loved the ending. It was perfect.
I could only think, "Fuck, yeah!"

The cellphone is warm against the skin of my palm and fingers, which hold it loosely, but decisively, as the hand falls down against my mattress. I stare into the white of my screen, my eyes still slightly afire. I laugh when I cry. But right now, I am simply smiling. It is not a feeling of ecstatic joy, but I have become accustomed to this generally happy feeling, and recognize it: contentment.

Try as I might, I am unable to pass a day or night without thinking of oranges. Sweet citrus still bitter on my lips. Tantalizing, I'm sure- I know. I'm glad that I have the heartwarming contentment of berries when the citrus drives me mad.

I leave a new song in each of my journals for the curious to check out. The song that caught my interest this time, due to the lyrics, was what made me cry.I happen to hate the song itself, but the lyrics... When I looked it up, I had to smile at the irony. The title of the song was Daidai, which is what I recently named my stuffed rabbit. Because it means "Bitter orange." And I'm a silly person. <3

From the corner of my gaze words were found twisted through sunset lit clouds, lining them in longing filled thoughts instead of silver. They disappeared as I turned to focus on them, all their secret knowledge of my future fading away into gold and pink. It was a silly thing I did, to so carefully pull an image from a photograph, and force it onto my own page of musings. He said it was something that he would have done, perhaps, at the dawn of his teenage years. I stared at my desktop background with a blank, dispassionate face, not knowing whether to smile or frown. The only words that were truly there were those I had transcribed from a love song. And they were just the promises of today's truth, not illuminating fortellings.

Impatient at the slothful pace at which Firefox was loading, I ran my cursor over the popup bar at the base of my screen, letting tags rise and fall as I moved on and off them. I reached one with a curious red X over something silver, and right clicking it, I found the question of On or Off. The arrow glided towards On, and sound suddenly blared in several directions at me, instead of simply drifting. My breath caught, and my eyes widened, realizing what this 'Virtual Sound' meant. Impulsively my arms rose, and my hands shook as I flailed and writhed in pure happiness, which was apparent in my open smile. I laughed, screamed, reveled in simple joy, breathing heavily. It's funny how easily my heart can be filled, though it makes sense then, how easily it can drain. But sound- sound, good sound. Correlating with quality images. As sight and hearing are the two senses I depend on, it's no surprise that I love music videos so much.

I watched the sun set, and as I walked the heat of the day drained away, leaving my flesh saturated with cold. My hands, hips, thighs, and lips felt chilled as though kissed with snow. The sky gave the grey clouds leave, and as the whisps cleared stars casually appeared. And I felt fear this night, as I passed by the threat of a guardian hound. I was watching Rurouni Kenshin Episode Nine today, when one of Sano-sama's opponents proclaimed, "My entire body, trained as part of the Obiwaban group, is hard as steel, and any part can be used as a weapon."

I curled up into a ball laughing at this.

Even though I score a 98% on the purity test, and it may take me a while to understand certain jokes, my thought process is undeniably corrupted.

Snowball was pretty fun. I went out with some of my friends to a place called the Mongolian Grill. I had noodles and shrimp and salmon and fake crab and COD! With lime sauce, sugar water, and soy sauce on top. And they fried it right in front of us. It was pretty nifty. And they had these napkins that were actually shells to make rice and noodle burritos. Then we got to the dance and I met up with the rest of my friends. Since the school policy of "No Dirty Dancing" kicked in, they've been playing better music. Or at least no crude rap crap. ^^

I've been sick this weekend though. Thursday I ordered hot cocoa at lunch from my school Express Cafe, but they over heated it. When I drank it it scalded the inside of my throat. At least I think I scalded it... I tasted blood and it hurt really bad... And of course, being me, I just ignored it and continued my classes for the day. Now, because of the weather, I have a cold, and I'm pretty sure my throat got infected. ^____^; Friday I stayed home sick, but Saturday *Lochi and I went downtown! Yay! And we went to the asian market and bought manga and rice cake and paper fans. And then we went to the downtown square, where everything was covered in white light strands, and there was a huuuge christmas tree- like as tall as some of the buildings. And we encountered some old friends. And then we had McDonalds and then we saw Deja Vu in theaters. It was a pretty spiffy night for two sick kids.

It Snailed the other day. The bell rang at three oclock, and as students gushed from the halls, the clouds too took it as a signal for a sudden spur of energy. It snowed at first, then as students gawked at the heavens with their tongues hanging out, myself included, it began fiercely hailing; rocks of ice painfully pelting already frozen bare skin. Thus Snail was born as a description of the weather. And of course I had taken it upon myself to forget my umbrella at home and my coat in my locker. Luckily *Lochi was handy so that I could enwrap myself in her abnormally long scarf while I waited for my bus. Which I missed. Thus is my life.

This weekend is our Snowball. I decided that dresses were too awkward for my playful personality. I tend to spill things on them and stuff- and then there's worrying about sitting in an 'unladylike manner'. So Im wearing a black suit jacket with gold pinstripes, which came with a matching pair of pants and a matching skirt with gold ribbon and beads along the bottom hem. I will be wearing a simple black shirt under a complex lacy silk deep gold dress shirt beneath the suit jacket, which pairs nicely with my gold glamour scarf. Ill probably end up wearing my everyday black scuffed-but-awesome boots. Though Id like to get some gold earrings and chopsticks to do my hair up
