- I have two distinct scars on my body. One is on my left leg, from falling into a bush of thorns and gashing my leg on said thorns. It's barely visible, but it's there. My theater degree is going nowhere, and probably won't for a while until I finally get up on the stage at an open mic night, if anything. The setting is steampunk-ish, sometime around World War I. A man sits outside a cafe, holding a cup of hot coffee. It's snowing lightly, the middle of winter. Nearby is a train, stopped at the station for the passengers to disembark for a while. The cafe he's sitting in overlooks a canyon, covered in snow and ice.

He sets the coffee down on the cold table and quietly says: "Ten sips. Ten happy thoughts."

From this, I've been inspired to write a story about that man. Amazing, isn't it?

Texas lawmakers are considering passing a law that would require the mother of a child she wants to abort to get an ultrasound of the baby and look it in the eye before having the abortion. Maybe it's just me, but this is some heartless, cruel shit. Christmas, to me, has never been about the stuff. Sure, the stuff rocks, but mostly it's about getting to spend one day with everybody that I love and cherish. And I've been blessed so much by some many people that I love and who, I know in my heart, love me back. On Christmas and Christmas Eve, I always end up reflecting on all of the people I've gotten to know over the years, and it makes me all teary-eyed and stuff. The latest writing I've posted is part of a series I call "WhaTiF." (See what I did with the letters there?) This collection of writing pertains to the sprite comic Double-U Tea F. In each case, a major aspect of the comic ends up being changed. They're also a lot longer than the short pieces I've been posting before, so make sure to bring a snack.

I've got a professor laying this heap of shit on me about colouring a lighting set for the mainstage. Something that should have been a final project is now due in 5 days with no warning? And it wouldn't be so bad if he'd given me feedback on my first assignment, which is colouring a much smaller stage for a basic light design. But no.

With no feedback whatsoever, I suddenly move from a tiny, easily-lit, well-known space to a huge, mainstage, hard-to-figure-out-what-the-fuck-to-do stage.
