Being the wussy Californian that I am, I am veeeerrrrry cold! Its about Fifty something degrees but I am cold. Haha. My relatives in Massachusetts are probably laughing at me. Anyway, this Christmas is going to be a depressing one. I am practically broke ever since I got laid off and my parents are struggling as well. We are not putting up the Christmas tree because my Father deemed it unnecessary. Things need to get better or I just might go postal on society >:3

Oh well, at least I got my Boyfriend to snuggle with! It's going to be our year anniversary on December 16th!! SQUEEE!

I was optimistic on New Years about things getting better in '09. Well.....I'm starting to lose that. Things just keep getting worse. My Mother is always stressing about making payments and losing hair over it. My Dad just always seems mad everyday, so I barely go near him. I'm going to lose my Health Insurance at the end of the month too. Shit.

Luckily I got DA. Looking at all the wonderful art from all these different artist lifts my spirits. So keep making that art guys! Lets pray things do get better.

So much has happened in this past year.
I graduated, I got my Disney Year pin, I got a boyfriend.
But we all shared things too.

We shared in joining together in China to represent our countries while at the same time, forming as one race of people, as a world. While there are still challenges that threaten that peace we maintain hope during severity. We watched as The United States Economy has taken a turn for the worse--foreclosures, hostile bank takeovers, people losing their jobs. And as we enter into a new year we hope that this calamity will fade from our memories. We conttinue living anyway.

HOPE itself was ressurrected before us in one man--the first Black man to ever be elected into the White House, Barack Obama. This feat itself is proof that the world is finally changing for the better even if we still have our share of problems.
We have lost many entertainers such as Estelle Getty and Bernie Mac and Eartha Kitt but we still look to them as well as the future to continue laughing and find joy in this world.

So for 2009, lets make better choices.
Lets come together as one again like we did in China.
Once again should we prosper and not let our credit score define who we are.
2008 was great, and I'm sure 2009 will hold even more suprises.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS!
So last night I went to the Disney Christmas party last night---awesome. They closed the park to the guest around 8, so the lines were shorter 'cuz it was only Cast Members/their families and everything was 50% off!! WOOT!!! (I got some of my X-mas shopping done, Yay! But the shirt I got my Dad was too big so I gotta go exchange it. Boo!)

My house smells like a forest because for the first time in years my Mom and Dad brought home a REAL Christmas tree. No fake one for us this year. We decorated it and the house smells and looks all nice and cozy.
Even with money problems that everybody is dealing with, this season makes me happy anyway.

But on a more annoying note, I just got my Winter Schedule for work. Everyday for 8 hours. I was almost dead last year after the holidays but I hope that I don't work on Christmas this year. I requested the day off forever ago, so I hope it goes thru.

I voted for the first time ever today. Good thing my place wasn't very crowded, it was a bit intimidating since I was like the youngest person there and everybody else seemed to know what they were doing. Haha. So I got my "I VOTED" sticker and I am going to where it ALL day! I hope you guys who are eligible to vote did, it was sooo cool! I feel empowered. And condidering I am the only person registered in my family--does help. Lol.

On a sadder note, my bro is in court right now because the girl he went out with had drugs in the car and she blamed him. THE BITCH! I hope all things turn out okay, for Obama and my brother. <3

Wow.

I am amazed at how fast this is going. I registered my classes a couple of days ago and then I go in for my assessment testing on Monday. So far my schedule is...

Math at 7 in the morning
Intro to Psychology around 10
Western Civilization History in the afternoon
Intro to Japanese late afternoon
(My English class is still being debated on, hehe)

And I am making a promise to myself to not totally blow this like I did in HighSchool. NO SLACKING OFF! Believe it! (Wow, haven't said that in a awhile.)

I recieved my diploma on June 12th and I am getting ready for college. It is so weird that High School is over, but it has to be done. I shed a couple of tears and gave A MILLION hugs and signed hundreds of yearbooks, but I am ready to move on and create a future for myself.

Today was my friend Kayla's Grad party. which was AWESOME! I played Rock Band for the first time and jumped on a trampoline and almost died. But it was great. Now it's Summer. I better enjoy it before all my friends leave for their respective colleges. *tear* I will never forget High School.

Through this rally, the Missing Future postcard campaign, in which P4P and other students passed around, signed and submitted these post cards with "MISSING ________" in which YOU the student fill in the blanks with what profession you want to accomplish in. Our Governor has taken over FIVE BILLION DOLLARS from our schools. And we don't think this is right.

As of currently--CALIFORNIA is ranked 46th in school funding (so sad) but with these new budget cuts it will move my state to last place!

Our students as well as others will have the oppurtunity to speak to the State's Legislature and other higher-ups to convince them NOT to take our money.

So wish me luck! I'll be standing on the steps of my state's capital--with camera in hand!

It took awhile, but I found it at David's Bridal. And guess what? My dress is the only one in my style and color in the whole state. Lol! It is apple color with embroidery in tiny flower designs (they look like Sakura to me, hehe). It's kina long but my aunt is gonna fix that for me. Hope I look good.

Senior Prom this year is at Fort MacArthur in San Pedro and I am still in search of the dress I want. I have an idea of what I want to get but I am too damn picky. Haha! My Mom hates me for it. We were at the mall for a couple of hours but I just didn't find what I want. You gotta have patience with me when I am in search of a dress. Last year was just as bad. With me I have to have this "click" feeling, like I just know this dress is for me.

I am not usually this girly, but it is very rare for me to be dead set on finding apretty dress, much to my Mother's delight. Lol.

BUT THIS IS MY SENIOR PROM!

I want to find a dress where I won't be regretting the decision I made. I want to be like "THIS is THE dress!!" I am going with my best friends this year and it is going to be AWESOME!! I'm straightening my curly hair and everything! I will upload a pic when I find the dress....if my Mom doesn't kill me first. Haha!

I love to talk, but I very much dislike people who hate other people BECAUSE they are Gay, Bi, Lesbian, Transgender, etc. So this day is to protest against such horrid acts like hate crimes against the Gay, Bi, Lesbian, Transgender communities. At my school we have about 50 teenagers participating and others wearing black ribbons to show support. I believe it's only together that we can put a stop to hate crimes against someone due to their sexual oreintation. We need to move ahead, because HATE is what's holding us back.

Okay, so, I FINALLY finished this english project that has been stressing me out for the past two weeks. Wo0t! I made the class bust up laughing with it. *yay*

I applied for three colleges and two sent me a rejection letter and one sent a dumb "your application is incomplete".....so basically, I give up. It's Junior College for me. Oh well. I got a job and money, I can stand to live with Mom and Dad a couple more years. Hehe! *mooch*

But I am still so frustrated at to what I want to do as a career. I know it is osmethin' in the field of psychology, any ideas pals? IDL. But I DO NOT want to be one of those "sit down and whine to me about your problems" type of quakes. I want to be a COOL quack. Lol!
