Characters:

1) Akira Saito: Vulgar and unlicensed school nurse. He's rather short tempered, but because of his job, he's forced to suppress a lot of his rage. Since he comes from a family of doctors, he has forced the school to give him the position of school nurse in hopes that it would improve his chances of being a doctor. Even though he's the school nurse, and he would like to be a doctor, he really doesn't like people all that much. He's secretly very obviously into his assistant of sorts, Devyn, a girl who is pretending to be a boy, making him look like a complete homo at all times.
2) Tetsuo Saito: The younger fraternal twin brother of Akira. He tends to be a bit vain, and often sacrifices health for appearance. His eyes are shaped like half circles, and when he smiles they look like croissants, although he doesn't like croissants all that much. He started smoking when he was younger because he thought it would get his older brother's attention, but unfortunately has become dependent on it. He works as Tejina Academy's guidance councilor, in hopes (not really) that he might be a psychiatrist.
3) Sigmund Freud: Strange little boy with green locks. He doesn't have any ears and green seems to be his natural hair colour. He was found by the Saito family under mysterious circumstances and was named by Tetsuo after... Well, Sigmund Freud. He could be anywhere from 10-14, and tends to act in a childish manner. He doesn't know how to write in English properly, though he is very good at advanced mathematics. He thinks Harry Potter's mom can kill people with the power of love.

What presents did you get?
What was the best present you've ever gotten? What about the worst?

Ummm... my family celebrates Christmas really boringly. We don't do anything special, nor do we exchange presents. We used to when I was really little, but not anymore. So Christmas in our family, is a normal day ( but I still love Christmas *A* ).

I got one present this year from my brother though, but that was only because he forgot my birthday this year, and made up for it by giving me a gift today. So now I have a copy of Disgaea DS. Which is pretty good stuff, because that means that he remembered that I like this game.

The best Christmas present I've ever gotten was a stuffed bear when I was seven years old. A girl I knew's mother was a fashion designer / seamstress, so she made the bear just for me *A*. I felt so special and unique, but since I was seven at the time, I named the bear the colour of it's fur (which is Peach). I WAS SO ORIGINAL. AH HA HA HA.
Most thoughtful Christmas present I've ever gotten though, was when I was leaving for my new school, a girl from my old school sent me a picture frame with an image of her, another friend of mine, and me when we were much younger. And I was pretty moved.

Topic of discussion: Twilight.

In all honesty, I don't find it to be a wholly interesting book. It's poorly written and the characters are incredibly flat, and I kind of just felt like I was reading some woman's... sexual fantasy or something (some woman who's into guro).
I can certainly understand why it's such a popular series though. After all, if you consider what group this book is popular with, and you think about the hot sparkly never aging (as in forever gorgeous) men in this book. Yeah.
However, that didn't really bother me much. After all, I've read plenty of books that I didn't enjoy at all and it's never been an problem for me before. I kind of just... leave the book alone, and never think about it again.
So what is my main issue with this series anyway? The fans. Seriously, when I state my opinion of a book, I'm looking for an interesting, intelligent swapping of ideas. I'm not looking for verbal abuse (There are apparently places for people who are looking for that). It's even more irritating for me, since a lot of them that I've met are actually... really bad a forming insults.
That isn't to say that I hate all fans of Twilight. Not at all, after all, it's simply the... idea, you could say, of the fans that bothers me. Very "extreme" cases of fangirlism (and believe me, there are a lot).
But then again, I'm mostly uncomfortable with most extremists of any sort.


Now that I've said my opinion, let's hear yours.

Another very good reason for me to be excited has to do with the casting in this movie.
Well, obviously Johnny Depp is in it, because, well he's pretty much in all of Tim Burton's movies (except maybe... Batman). Last time I checked, he's going to be playing the Mad Hatter, which is the sort of role that he's definitely very well suited for, as I'm sure you've noted from his previous eccentric acting roles.
Also Cripin Glover is in it. I don't think Glover is quite as popular or as well known as Depp is, though he's in quite a few movies. Ah... I think the first time I saw him in the movies was when I saw the first Back to the Future (and I do also love Back to the Future). He played Marty's dad in the past, I think. He was also Bartleby and Williard in the movies "Bartleby" and "Williard", they're both very good movies. I do recommend seeing them. Hmmm, he's also in the Charlies Angels movies (The ones with Lucy Liu, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz) as that guy who rips out people's hair and then SMELLS IT.

So this would be... a director that I happen to greatly like, and my two favourite actors. My three favourite eccentrics.
Naturally I'm pretty hyped up for this movie. Of course, I'm going to be waiting till 2010 to see it though.

(I'm also ashamed to admit that I actually enjoyed the Charlies Angels movies. They're not particularily... GOOD. But I still like them.)

Let me ask you a question, my young friends. Have you ever killed anyone? Have you ever drank their blood? I would like to inform you right now that it would be impossible for you to drink their blood.
Would you like to know why?
Because you're human. And humans can't drink blood. Blood is a basic solution, stomach acid is obviously an acidic solution. Basic chemistry. It's dangerous. Don't try this at home kiddies.

I really don't understand why people don't see what's so great about being human. We're omnivores, we actually get a choice in what we eat. We don't burst into flame when the sunlight hits us. We don't have to drink basic solutions that will potentially kill us, to survive (Hey! That's interesting, to survive you need to kill yourself!). Maybe you should try to become unique by finding out who you are first, instead of lying to yourself

For that one project I mentioned earlier called "Writer's Block". It’s basically… about a bunch of kids who are based off of / named after famous people (mostly writers). They do stuff. A lot of literature is referenced. Especially the obscure kind (which also happens to be the very best).

1. Choose a few of your own characters. Five at the most.
2. Make them answer the following questions.
3. Then tag three people.
4. Feel free to go ahead and add some questions yourself!!

Characters:

1) Poe: He’s short and a bit anxious. He’s in grade 10 even though he’s only 13 years old making him a freaky genius kid. A freaky genius kid who looks like a girl… He does try his best to stay positive, even though he’s a bit lonely. He has a pet bird named Allen.
2) Frances: He’s a complete wack job. He thinks practically everything is fun and he can’t see very well, even with his glasses on.
3) Lewis: Very religious and very boring sort of guy with a stutter. There’s practically nothing special about him. He may be a closet pedo though, and there is something a bit weird about that super talented twin brother of his.

So Starting easy…

How have you all been?
Poe: I'm alright, I guess. I'm in a new school which is kind of scary but fun at the same time... I mean, my first impression of the place was pretty bad, but it's getting better. After all, I like to keep it positive. How bad can it be… right?
Frances: Haha, man I'm having a great time, I lost my glasses, perfect excuse for being late for school, met a cute girl, found my glasses, got to school, took a nap, had a great lunch, it's just been great! Man, I'm happy!
Lewis: I-... well, it c-could be b-b-better, I guess?

What are your full names?
Poe: Ummm... Poe Edgars...
Frances: Well, my name is actually François, but no one can really pronounce that right, so they just call me Frances. My last name's Kafka, so together that would be Francois "Frances" Kafka! Pretty catchy right?
Lewis: L-l-lewis C-charleson.

Nicknames?
Poe: I don't think I've been here long enough to get one... Ummm... when I do though, I hope they don't give me something stupid or offensive.
Frances: I think it's cooler if people just call me Kafka. It has a unique sort of ring to it, y'know? Frances is kind of nickname too though, I guess?
Lewis: I-I'm mostly j-just L-l-lewis, b-but I've been c-called "Lou" before and K-kafka calls me "s-s-scarf" sometimes.

How old are you?
Poe: Well, I've turned thirteen recently, so now I guess I'm a teenager. My parents don't really treat me any different though...
Kafka: So I'm fourteen right? I'll be fifteen soon though. Isn't it wild how when you're an adult you pretend to be younger, but when you're a kid you can't wait to be older?
Lewis: F-fift-t-teen.

What's your height?
Poe: Ummm... 4'8". I'll get taller though! Won't I?
Kafka: I'm a bit tall I guess! I'm 5'9"! That's tall right?
Lewis: I'm n-not sure, I d-d-don't really measure m-myself.

Nationality?
Poe: Well, I'm a bunch of European countries mixed into one. My mom's from Canada and my dad's from Sweden if that helps...
Kafka: I used to live in Montreal, but I can trace my family back to Austria. I celebrate Hanukkah though, so maybe I'm Jewish? Hahaha, this is tough!
Lewis: I'm f-from Cheshire in E-england.

You Got Any Bad Habits?
Poe: Mum says that I need to make more friends, but I don't really think I do... I think that as long as I have Allen around with me, then I'll be fine.
Kafka: Bad habits? I don't really think so, but what makes a habit bad anyway?
Lewis: I-I-I have a s-st-stuttering pro-problem. It's n-not bad though, and i-i-it's not like I c-can help it.

Poe: I... what?
Kafka: Naw, I think there’s a lot more to love than just sex!

Hyun-Jae: I'm not entierly sure, it has been a long time after all, and I haven't been counting.

Hyun-Jae: Currently a student.
Rym: Profession? I.... student...

Hyun-Jae: I might, however, I am unaware of them at the moment.

Hyun-Jae: 5'8", I have strange reddish-organish hair colour as well as red eyes. Though this is uncommon colouration where I am from, it is an often seen amongst my peoples. A long time ago, we might have been persecuted, but I am unsure.

6) Do you have any distinguishing marks?
Hyun-Jae: Well, unlike most people, I have a third eye, this is uncommon amongst people, even of my kind as well.

Hyun-Jae: Yes, I haven't felt any pressing urgency to mate. -blush- According to Miss Andy, humans involve themselves in a thing called dating... One day though... Hmmm...

Hyun-Jae: No, though I have often felt the urge to. I don't enjoy the idea of killing someone, however should it become necessary, I don't believe I would hesitate.

Hyun-Jae: I have met very few people in my lifetime, and have had very little oppurtunity to dislike. I feel that if one is to get far in life, it is necessary to get along with everyone.

Hyun-Jae: Of course. We all have our secrets, I am willing to admit to that. What my secrets might be though... that is a secret.

Hyun-Jae: Out of all seasons, I am fond of the spring. It is a time in which much life is visible and there are many interesting scents. I enjoy the fall as well, because there are many good things to eat.
Rym: Winter... it...it's like home.

Hyun-Jae: I've only just recently arrived at the school, and thus have only met a limited amount of people. I've not made any best friends yet, though I feel as though I've become quite well acquainted to Miss Andy as well as Miss Laurel.

Hyun-Jae: My main hobbies would be poetry and calligraphy, however in the past I have engaged briefly in both Taekwondo as well as Tea ceremony.

1. I'm really good at quoting random authors. It's because I collect quotes. Some people collect stamps or pokemans, but I collect quotes.

2. I have an internet family and in my internet family, I have two dads. Also, my uncle is my aunt, as well as my nephew, as well as my older brother. Hunh?

3. In any other school but mine, I'd be top in the class at math.

4. I have feelings of inadequacy when compared to my brother. He has an IQ of 160. I have an IQ of 140. That's pretty far apart D: He's also good at the sciences, whereas I'm good at the arts. With a 90 in Science, you can become a doctor. With a 97 in English, what are you going to do? Maybe it's just low self-esteem and teen angst or something.

5. One of my pet peeves is when people ask me questions or say statements along the lines of "You hate me don't you?" or "I get the feeling I'm annoying you." I don't know why, but it bothers me. A lot.

6. I really like cats, but I can't have one because my dad is allergic.

So, my school's animu club had a party for that one Prince of Tennis character with squinty eyes. Apparently he's born on a leap year day. I drank some strange vinegar juice stuff and ate wasabi rolls. It was delicious.

At the top, in evenly spaced capital letters are the words “I N T E R N A T I O N A L B E S T S E L L E R”, which led me to assume that this book is either very good or lying. Slightly underneath that, written in different shades of gray, is a mass of the word “BLINDNESS”. For some reason, it seemed to be written in a very different font from the rest of the text. The word is written so many times that you can hardly discern it anymore. Written on this chaos of grays is the word “B L I N D N E S S” written again in a smaller bolded and white font. Though you cannot see it by simply looking, the word is actually embossed. Somewhat below this confusion is an acclaim. “’A shattering work by a literary master’ – The Boston Globe”, it writes and a little under these words and much further to the right, a circular silver stamp is displayed. It tells me “WINNER / OF THE / NOBEL PRIZE / FOR / LITERATURE”, I wondered if the author was the winner of if the book was the winner. Either way, I was further convinced of the book’s supposed greatness. Finally, the bottom of the cover was reached and the author’s name displayed. The name was written in large capitalized letters, yet it was in a much lighter grey and appeared to be in the same font as the type used to write “BLINDNESS” in the huge mass which floated rather far away."

I think I deserve the nobel prize too. Or maybe the passage does?

Once I met a cat named Kyu. She was an awesome cat, then she died. As you can understand, my pen name is a homage to that cat.

I love comics, I love making comics, but my standards for most comics and comic books are so incredibly high that when I look at my own things, I dismiss them as horrific.

I've always admired Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo as classical artists. However, the people on the internets would probably be looking for something more related to my age. In that case, I quite like Jhonen Vasquez and Skottie Young.

Though I do enjoy the occasional anime / manga, I find that the character depth is incredibly lacking. You see one character you've probably seen several others , which I find rather vexing. However, there is a certain surreal feeling from the stylistics of anime / manga which I quite enjoy . I find that though the storylines are all generally very cliched and formulaic, you may occasionally find a treasure of a show / comic, which is always very nice.
I guess I enjoy "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya"? That's always a classic. "Kino's Journey" was good too.
23.] Do you like cartoons/ [American] comics? If so, what are your favorite series?
For me, cartoons / American comics is more of a deep rooted thing, I've grown up with them and such. I really enjoy the fact that with American comics, it's really more broad in stylistics . However, it's pretty lacking in storyline. Fighting crime and super villains one after the other does get boring after a short period of time and the lack of continuity in certain cartoons or comics does irritate every now and then.
I really enjoy X-men and Spiderman... I do also like Johnny the Homicidal Maniac.

Me, I just want to be able to do more than one style. Realism is a good place to start I guess.

I would probably have to go with Kiou and Kael since Ty would probably have an angst fest and Niko would... slice his head off or something. Not to mention that Ty is shorter than Niko and a year or so younger.

2. 6 (Topaz) and 12 (Proteus) are marooned on an inhospitable desert island with no food or water, only a single-shot pistol. Who gets shot?
Topaz is dead and Proteus isn't human. He's an artificial human so he can't die and Topaz is dead so she can't die again. I think. Either way, if someone did have to get shot, it would be Proteus, since Proteus wouldn't have the heart to shoot some little girl. Alternatively they could shoot a bird and feed off of its raw flesh.

3. Would 9 (Ryuno) cheat off of 3 (Ardis)’s test?
No, no way on earth. Ardis is smart, but he has a tendency to over think things. For example, if he saw the question "1+1=" he would think "Oh! This must be a trick question! Therefore the answer must be WINDOW!" or something. Okay, maybe that was a bit overboard, but that's essentially what he does. Ryuno is capable of actual rational though.

Breeder sounds more like my cup of tea. Whenever I play, I just farm levels but never actually get anywhere. I think I'd branch off every now and then and then go as a trainer though. Maybe I could be like... Verdanturf's gym leader! Well... if I could I guess...

Tomorrow is the Day of Silence, in which we pay our respects to the dead gay/lesbian/trangendered/ etc. people by not talking. I acctually don't know much about it, so I can't explain too well. My friend basically introduced me to it, but when I asked whether it had anything to do with the fact that she was a boys love fan, I got yelled at... so... yeah.... She also got mad at me for suggesting it as a good way to get out of certain homework assignments... None the less, I really do want to show my respect for these deceased and will try to do my best to keep my mouth shut. I'l need some kind of note book though... Still, I hope that other people will attempt to show their respect as well.

My school's anime club is going to be watching Sailor Moon live action, I can't wait! My school's anime club is run by a very short asian guy called Matt Yu, but we all call him Myu . In our school, we have the people in the oldest grade pair up with the people in the youngest grade so they can understand better, it's called the buddy system. We've nicknamed Myu's buddy Mewtwo! The name was 's idea though... My buddy sucked, she never even said hi in the hallways...

Nextly I stupidly didn't bring paper of pencil on my trip so I had to draw on tissues and with a pen. It was kind of funny... but most of the time I played Pokemon Silver and Harvest Moon . I got to watch a lot of movies too and I finally saw Hercules in english ! Yep! I don't know whether I can post pictures though... since my brother is authority on this matter.
