Well, the contest is officially closed. I was extremely gratified and honored to have received the popular vote coming in at 1st and 2nd place. Holy cow. o_o Honestly, I was overwhelmed and moved by these results.

However, it would seem that Bodyline chose to ignore the voters and make their own selections. This sadly means that my designs will not go into production.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that voted--truly. It was wonderful to see that so many people enjoyed my designs.

Congratulations to everyone chosen by Bodyline. There were some wonderful entries there.

In the interest of helping a dear friend have access to some cute, classy shoes, I entered the current clothing design contest at Bodyline. If my designs win, they will go into actual production by the clothing company and I will receive a pair of them as a prize!

You see, many of the lolita/punk fashion companies in Japan rarely, if ever, produce their shoes in larger sizes. The idea is that if my designs win, in order to give me my prize, they will have to produce them in the larger sizes.

Having a chance to wear something that I designed, and having people around the world able to buy and wear them too is an incredible opportunity! As of the moment of this posting, my designs have managed to pull into the top 4 out of almost 1,000 submitted designs. Yowza!

1: I like blades...and as such have several different types of daggers and large bladed weapons.

2: I adore Final Fantasy games, but have yet to actually complete any single one of them due to either computer crashes or real life getting in the way. :/

3: I ought to wear my glasses...but I'm generally too lazy to get them out. (I only need them for distance vision...so, yea.)

4: I love glass and have a large collection of odd or unique pieces of glassware.

5: My home is generally very cluttered, but I take exceedingly good care of all of my possessions. Usually, things I own look brand new even 10 years later. (Yes, even when I've used them regularly.) lol

6: I desperately want high-speed internet...but it is so difficult to research what service to get on my slowwwwww dial-up, that I have yet to choose a service I can afford. ( is supposed to remind me to do this...)

7: My friends tell me I'm a very "crafty" person--I usually work very well with my hands and I enjoy making things using all different mediums and objects.

I'm a lurker by nature...so I typically don't say much in online forums and such. I am also stuck with ridiculously slow dial-up, and as such cannot browse dA as much as I would like to. Most of my time on dA is spent just looking at the works of a few friends and responding to those that have shown an interest in my art.

I have always enjoyed drawing and other creative endeavors, but for many years convinced myself that because I could not do what I wished to right away, it was not worth it. You might notice that most of my creations here are fanart for Go Fish by Rachael Peabody. This is because I love her comic, but more importantly, because she has inspired me to start drawing and creating again! I haven't done much of anything since highschool art classes (which seems so very long ago, lol) and I welcome this new inspiration wholeheartedly. I have more ideas and wip's than I know what to do with and I love it! ^_^



Now then, I suppose I will also continue this meme thing going around...
