I'm super sad now... :/


Hm, what else. Oh, yeah! I went to go and see Wicked down at the London Apollo Victoria Theatre, and it was AWESOME! Seriously! I don't think I've ever seen anything so brilliant. The songs- KERRY ELLIS' voice is WIN- the dancing, the jokes!! Jeeze. And the coach journey down there was awesome too, me and my good friend Sarah had the most laughs ever. I think it was probably the best bus journey I've ever been on- we got 18 people to wave at us in London, and we saw this random couple and the woman had her hands down her guy's trousers. We all wet ourselves with laughter.

There were these guys smoking a bong too, and I got asked SO many times what it was by the (not-quite-so) innocent little kids we went with because I know, because my mum got one for an ornament from Egypt :XD: So, yeah, it was the most awesome trip- and we were in London which made it so much better. I want to go again, and since then I've been doing nothing but go on about how awesome it was. And, I've been labelled (by Sarah of all people!) as a Wicked Addict. Hey, I don't care. I'm a Wicked Addict and Proud. :D

Also, I have exams coming up soon. My art exam is in 8 days, and I feel as though I'm not ready. Actually, I not only feel, I know I'm not. Then I've got my History exam in a few days too, and, I know I'm not ready for that either. And Psychology, and English Literature, and the other History exam. Oh well. :3 Kitty will pull through. What's New
Well, I know, it's been a while. I've been busy. Very busy in fact. So busy that the internet seems to be a novelty reserved for people older, wiser, younger and, well, not me I suppose. I have so much revision to do for my exams in a week or so it's unreal, and what with New Year coming up I know I'm going to have to sacrifice a lot of time just to get the bare minimum done...

NaNoWriMo is out of the way. That was a pain this year-- but I got the Notts Unicorn anyhow =D 76k in I threw my first novel out, and started a new one. A backstory (Portellan- A Love Story) for one of the characters from last year. To be honesy that one was going much better, until I hit the revision and had to stop writing. It's so sad, depressing, and yet there's nothing I can do about it :/

Ah well, enough with the moaning; I know how unbecoming it can be P:

I got an awesome load of presents this Christmas. Got a macro lense for the camera, and a new phone so that I can actually keep in touch with people more easily when I have no internet access. As of yet, though, I've had no texts or anything :(

Ooooh, and as to the title of this journal-- what are your resolutions for the New Year? I have a depressingly long list, but I'm sure I'll be able to work through them if I try hard enough:

-Finish three novels (the one I'm working one, one novel that has either been started previously, or a new one, and then NaNo one for next November).

-Work harder at school. I don't know if this one is possible without it killing me, but Goddamnit I'm going to try.

-Stop biting my nails. I stopped once before, actually, more than once, so I know I can do it again. I've just been getting nervous lately, with exams and everything else.

-Start applying for Uni. before the next New Year rolls around.

-Be more active. I need to do more excercise, though I don't know easy this one will be to keep. I'm a lazy slob; always have been and I think I always will be one.

-Read more books relating to my school subjects.

-Take more photographs- I'll be doing the Photography class for an hour every week in school, and hopefully this will inspire me...




You know what? I might even stick this in the Footer of this journal, and cross things out once I've achieved them. That'll make me feel a bit better about things. Ah well...

Tell me your resolutions. I want to know if I'm the only one who has so much to conquer in this coming 2008.

1) I've written 100k words this summer, simply because I'm a boring person. It's what I do for fun.
2) I have a knack for changing my accent. Whenever I go to a foreign country, where the people speak English with a different accent, I pick it up immediately and don't revert back until I go home. Doesn't work if I'm in a different place in England though.... o:
3) My second and third toes join together slightly higher up than all my others, so they look (at least my mother says so) sort of like a chicken bone xD
4) I crack my knuckles at every opportunity, otherwise they get stiff D:
5) I'm the kind of person who easily gets pissed off with other people's bad habits, though I don't know why. I have plenty.
6) I'm a reformed nail biter. I only do it now when I get totally nerved out.
7) At any one time we've never had less than one pet living in our house. Ever.
8) One day I want to be an author.

Okay, here it goes :

1. I can't sit on the right side of the car (well... In a European car anyways) if I'm less than a seat behind the driver. So, if we're on a coach, I'm fine.... But in normal sized cars? I puke up... :sick:
2. I sometimes have up to four showers a day. No less than one.
3. I love to read. Not weird, but when you read Harry Potter in 4 hours and can spend 24 hours straight in bed reading? I don't think that's normal...
4. Sometimes I love animals more than humans. My cat is my best friend :D
5. I love the summer, not just like in an "I really like summer" sort of way, but I get really excited when the summer starts to come, and the best time is being able to just get outside and do nothing- sitting in the grass and taking photos.
6. I used to be obsessed with the computer, but now I find that other things are more important. I still miss dA like crazy though... And, I love thunderstorms. It's like... The calm before a storm makes me really happy? >.>

Hey everybody! S'been another little while since my last journal entry, but I've been pretty busy with the exams in school, and with leaving on thursday there's always lots to do.

I was going to make a journal entry on Sunday, a sort of birthday feature thing, but I didn't have time cause my dad took me and some friends out to the Snow Dome (an inside skiing/snowboarding/tobogganing place for people who don't know) and then we went to my favourite Chinese restaurant :yum: Here are some pictures of us looking shameful :ninja: (And of me with my new hair- I got extentions on Saturday).


(Aren't they awful? My dad took them, but they made me giggle. Sorry people in these photos... They are pretty shameful).

Also, I'm still actually awaiting my birthday presents as the camera I ordered seems to be taking it's time getting here. I'm not overly bothered though, I've got so much on my plate I'm sure I can last for a little longer without a properly working camera...

Today I had two exams. Like RandomHyperKid I had my English exam. It was the literature exam, which I have to say for my novel and poems was really easy! I'm happy about that :D And then I had my ICT exam this afternoon. That was awful, mind you it wasn't really worse than expected. But it was still pretty horrid....

Hmm... I think I ran out of things to say, which is probably a good thing or I'd be here for ages, and you won't read it (not that many of you have anyways P: )

This is why I'm probably not going to be answering messages or anything for a while (or stalking anybody and commenting on their every move). Sorry about this guys, but if I don't start writing this while I have the inspiration, it'll never get anywhere (like my last story) and it'll bug me for the rest of my life. Dramatic, I know, but you'll know what I mean if you write.

Another thing, I was wondering if anybody would do me a huge favour on here. See, if I'm going to be writing this I think, ideally, I'm going to need some people to read it as we go along. It's going to be my first Crime Novel, like I said before, and I'm going to need as much help and feedback as possible...

So, myself and my dad's partner, Cath, have always been kinda partial to the character of Miss Marple, by Agatha Christie, and when we found out that there was going to be an "Agatha Christie weekend" on ITV3 we danced with joy (well not really, but we decided to watch it anyways, since we had nothing better to do). After watching a crazy amount of Miss Marple, and Poirot films I have to say, I've either been inspired, or as close as possible without being hit over the head with a lightbulb. Now I have the stupid notion in my head that I would like to write a crime novel... This would mean leaving my two current novels in the middle of nowhere and spending all of my time on this one, simply because a crime novel requires you to work backwards, and that involves an incredible amount more effort than anything else I've ever written.

I decided to take my head up on that challenge, and I have to admit I'm quite looking foward to it, especially as I'm going to let the twins Emily and Ella Tyler narrate the story (they're the clever investigator peoples!). So... Blow me. I think I've really dug myself a hole here, but you guys had better expect much more cursing in the future about the damn characters- especially because I know that Ella is going to be a pain the arse, wanting to narrate the whole thing herself, and Emily is going to bitch-slap her as hard as possible while drinking a glass of whisky, because that, I'm afraid to say, is how they've been made...

I think I'll probably be putting up some character bios later, asking you people to tell me who you like best, what more you want to know about the characters etc. because face it. I reeeeeeaallly need your help and creative expertise this time. :omg:

I think I'm going to regret this one big time.

My mother isn't happy about internet moniez, she likes to know exactly where she stands, which is why I am totally ecstatic that she is allowing me to use her (newly created) paypal account and sell my art online.

She also (Omg all in the same night?!?) agreed that for my birthday she will buy me a new camera, and a year subscription to the site. I'm not only happy, I feel as if my bubble will burst at any moment. I guess it kinda makes up for the fact that I have to leave home for a week and spend the time with my dad (and do lots of artwork and revision :work: ) But all in all, this weekend hasn't been a bad one, and I've had another fantastic day to keep up the role. I think this could be the start of a new positive me. :D Not to mention the fact that I got featured in the unknown photographers help article: [link] That made me even happier (I was literally bouncing off the walls for half an hour straight)

And, I also got some decent pictures today, too.

I'm reasonably chuffed with myself for getting it done, but now there's something else school-wise that I have to focus on... My German exam on Friday.

It's nothing really too big, but because it's an oral examination I'm especially nervous... I don't do so well speaking in German, especially when I'm doing it in front of somebody who is watching out for my every slip-up and marking me down for it. The only thing to do it practice some more, do some speaking and listening practice, and then more some. Could be difficult for saying I only have like, two days? But I'm sure, like with art, if I work hard between now and then I'll be fine.

Status report:
[+] Worked out 8/8 answers to possible questions that could be asked. (Gawd, I've learnt them mostly too, except I just have the little problem of linking the right answer to the question that is being asked >.< )

[+] Also I've learnt my speech pretty much all the way through. I'm quite proud of that, but remembering it in the exam is a whole different thing all together.

Things still to do:
[+] Revise everything else I've ever learnt. In two days? I think that's pretty much impossible. I should have started revising earlier, and I would have if I'd have known the exam was so close... Never mind. I'll just do my very best, and hope that it's good enough.


Anyways. Sorry about the rant. Just letting you know I'll probably be out of action throughout Thursday- and if I am online please please please please kick me offline and back to my studies. I need your help- otherwise I'll get badly distracted, and then I'll fail and blame dA when it's actually all my fault to begin with. :XD:

Basically, I won't be online this weekend, or next week up until next Friday when I have my German exam. Then the Easter holiday is clear sailing, not exams, and I have two weeks to revise for all the other ones that are on their way.

I hope you guys like the stress-induced photos that will be popping up between now and June; I assure you I won't be sane whilst taking half of them, but they shouldn't be too bad, really... I mean... What could happen, right? =D

Ja, I need to practice my German. Art is just going to have to be done as best as I can do, but German? Surely I can revise a little bit for that exam... :ninja:

We won first place! :excited: It's the first time I've ever won anything like that, and we split the prizes right down the middle. It was fantastic. Also, expect some pictures to be popping up on both our users: (check ~NixDX for her pictures) and even a video on mine. We had a lot of fun, and I guess that's what really matters, ultimately, but the chocolate and gift vouchers were sweet too.

I'm just sitting here to complain about the lack of good photographs in my gallery... The coupole that I uploaded today are pretty decent, but the rest are just awful. :(
I do like Sunset though the bullrushes though. The only one that I'm truly proud of...

I'm making a mental note to take loads and loads of photos in the summer so that I can actually get some decent ones uploaded onto the account.

Ah well. I'd better get off the art room computer, or else I won't be around to take any more photos :ninja:

I bought:

-A really nice hat (supposed to look like a top hat, it was the best I could find). You can find examples of it in my latest two photographs.

-A long piece of white material. I love material, and I'm going to wrap it around my neck in a bow, like Dodger had from Oliver Twist.

-I'm also going to hire a red tailcoat from the shop. I'm getting my father to go and pick it up on Wednesday night while I'm in London (with school). Though, when I put the coat on with the hat I kinda feel like a circus manager in the Big Top.

-Some Eeyore slippers. They're new, and they're blue and really really nice :giggle:

-Some perfume. I've wanted to buy this one for a while. I smelled it while in Belgium, and thought it was called Diesel, so I went into The Perfume Shop and asked about it. Sure enough it is the damned nicest perfume I've smelled in a long time. I love it.

I -do- suggest you do to Belgium though; there's some awesome scenery and the landscapes are beautiful. We went to the trenches, and a few memorials and graveyards. It was very moving, but extremely touching as well.

So, keep an eye out for my stuff, I guess?

I tell you now though. I am so glad to be back home. I actually screamed with delight upon finding I could use a normal English toilet, eat English food, use an English shower and sleep in an English bed in a room that didn't smell of sewers/dampness. Saying that, I didn't really want to come home...
