I've got just a smooch more gifts to get, and, well, you can't beat the deals. That, and my uncle needs someone to go with him into the big city. Don't go out there by yourself, kiddies, you'll never make it out ALIVE! I've had some experiences in BF shopping. We'll be heading out at 6:00 A.M. Wish me luck. *straps a helmet to her head*

But, I'm off topic now. What are you all thankful for? Family, friends, good job, good year so far, everything going well? Ect. Anything you're happy about really.

As for me, I'm thankful for my luck. Really, I can't tell you how lucky I've been these last few months. Had a couple of close calls in some places, but, it all turned out well. I'm doing very well in my classes, and getting better at drawing. Oh, and I found a new video game series to enjoy. Spyro the Dragon.

I am very thankful for my luck.

Now it has been the family tradition for my aunt and uncle's family to eat with my own. My uncle is THEE best cook, and my aunt makes THEE greatest pies.

Most people skip giving thanks to Thanksgiving in favor of Christmas. Which I can understand, Christmas and Halloween are the two biggest holidays of the year. Poor Thanksgiving is sandwiched between them, there really isn't much love given to the pilgrim/Indian holiday.

But, I always look forward to it. It's the best meal of the year, in my opinion. Where the entire family gets together and stuffs their faces.

But, I've gotten off topic a smooch. My favorite food of Thanksgiving is the Stuffing. It's soft, crunchy, there's a whole bunch of flavors in it that give it a unique flavor all it's own! My second would have to be the Pumpkin pie, (though, my aunt does make a cherry pie specially for my family and me ). There's also the veggies to considers. Mmm, Black Olives.


So, what food do you look forward to having this November 26?

2. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4. Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all, like many of the principles on which this great country was founded; women are still property, blacks still can’t marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of marriages like Britney Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6. Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn’t be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren’t full yet and the world needs more children.

7. Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That’s why we have only one religion in America.

9. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven’t adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

My Composition Professor decided to give us extra credit if we participate. So we've got roughly 30 days to write a 10,000 word novel, (The website says 50,000 but, Prof. changed it thankfully.) If we get it all done, we get 100 extra credit points!

Now I have an idea, a good idea I think, I won't tell you because I've still got to figure some of it out myself. I don't think I'll have too much trouble with the word count, because once I get into my groove, I can easily get a few hundred words within the hour. The only problem I can see is in how I'm going to end the novel. I've had the idea for a few months now, (it's just been on the back burner in my mind) I never took it up because I couldn't think of a way to end it. Which, I suppose it good now, because the website won't take a novel if you've already started on it.

I don't think that they'll take fanfiction. Which is a darn shame, because I could give Hasbro, (or whoever write the stories for TFAnimated) a few good ideas. Hmm, wouldn't mind having that job . . .


And now for some Halloween news;

I didn't do quite what I planned to do. I did watch some movies. Not with :iconkristoper-mordan: he was sick. So when darkness rolled around, I went walking around town with some friends. We went to the park and played Glow-stick-tag. Essentially it's tag, but you're trying to get people by throwing the glow stick at them. Hurts a bit, but it's fun. I hit my elbow while trying to throw the stick. And I hit my head while trying to run away.

This is the first year that I WON'T be trick-or-Treating,(lousy age discrimination! ). I was able to get away with it the last few year, because I was taking my little cousins. Their family's moved so I can't do it anymore. Ahh well, t'was fun while it lasted.

One of my most favorite traditions is watching Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. Love that movie. Ever since I was just a little squirt I'd go to the video store and rent it. Funny, it was never taken on Halloween. Always available for me.
Now all these wannabe goths and emos like 'cause it all dark. I LIKED IT BEFORE IT WAS COOL! Good thing I bought the DVD. It ain't the special edition everyone else has got but, hey, it came with the official soundtrack. I'm happy.

My other fun tradition is, of course, carving my pumpkin! (which I still have to do!) Throughout the last couple of years, I've been getting creative with the patterns on the Pumpkin. Three years ago I carved a silhouette of Jack and Sally, (didn't turn out too good). Two years ago, Jackle, (lovely! ). And last year, I believe I have the picture in my scraps, I carved a really ugly sucker! It had all these awful lumps and it was all gross looking. It turned out PERFECT! This year should be; The Dealer of Destruction, The Merchant of Doom; Demongo!

And since I won't be trick-or-treating this year; I'm having a film fest with . We're going to watch the vampire Anime called 'Hellsing.' I've never seen it. But, Kris says it's good.

Kirkwood won't have any vaccines until the 27th and 29th, So I won't be able to get my shot until then. But I WILL get one of them. I don't think you can get both the regular flu shot and the H1N1. Not sure why, I suppose they cancel each other out or they cause major complications.

Some guy was in the stairway SINGING! No lie! The lady looks at me in complete disbelief. She said something to me but I didn't catch it, I was snickering uncontrollably, trying to hear the singer. After he was done I began laughing. I opened the door and peeked over the railing to try and see who it was. I didn't see him. But he was a very good singer. Guy's got a future in singing.

It was very random.


I can't wait for Halloween!

Though I do wish for the social interaction. Perhaps next year/semester.

I do enjoy the classes, all my professors are very nice and helpful. I've already gotten a head start on my homework. I'm two months ahead on Algebra! I love math!

What really stinks though is that I have to wake up early on the weekends to go to work. -_- I put in a note to ask for Sundays off. You know, for a recuperate day. And homework, too.

Also, I'm going to be tutoring a friend, (more like brother XD). His mom and I have been talking, trying to set thing up and work around both of our schedules. I won't say his name for obvious reasons. But, if he can pass with 'C's his mom and I are buying him a ticket to whatever concert he wants. Sticks, Rob Zombie, Weird Al, Jonas Brothers, (I doubt he'll pick that one XD), whatever. But ONLY if he passes.

It's been raining all week. One of my profs. even commented; "I didn't know the 'drowned rat' look was in!" Yep, walking to classes in the rain, fun, fun, fun! But, it's cleared up pretty well. Hopefully it'll stay that way!

Well, my collage classes are paid for and I've bought most of my books, (They were out of stock with my Computation I book.) I had a bit of trouble paying for the books. You see, we get this thing called an 'Eagle Card' which works something like a debit card, but only for the collage campus, we can use it to pay for books, it lets us use the gym, we can use is in vending machines, ect. It also acts as an I.D. card. So I write a check and put some money on it, then I'm off to the book store.

After finding my books, (with a lot of help XD) I go to the cash resister to pay for them. About $200 the books cost. I take out my Eagle Card and present it to her. She looks at me and says, "We aren't excepting Financial Aid yet."

I don't need or use financial aid! I got so flustered as I dished out what cash I had on hand and wrote another check then left thinking that I had royally screwed up and had over drawn on my checking account, (and I had only just opened it!)

When I got home I lost my temper with my family while trying to balance my checkbook to see if I had overdrawn I rarely ever lose my temper. After cooling down, I apologized to my family for shouting and finally got everything to add up. I found that I still had $15 left. Then I figured that the lady at the register was probably new to the job, (she had to ask for help on how take the check), and that maybe she was mistaken? So when I go back to get my Computation I book, I'll talk to the guys whom I purchased my Eagle Card from and see if I can sort everything out.

In short: It's been a very stressful week. But, I went to the library and borrowed Silverwing by Kenneth Oppel and was able to just sit in a hammock and read for a couple of hours. So that's good, very relaxing.

Just so you know, I haven't bought cigarettes. Smoking is a habit I don't plan on ever picking up, along with drinking. I also don't plan on getting a tattoo anytime soon. A co-worker did, though, the thing wasn't even as big as my hand and it cost her $150! Sorry, but, that's too expensive! Besides, I wouldn't know what to get.

So, on a different note, I heard that Transformers Revenge of the Fallen was a flop. At least that's what the critics say. Now, I don't want spoilers, I just want to know out of 10, (10 being the best), how would you, my fellow fans, rate it? I haven't seen it yet, I'm waiting for it to come to a theater near me, it takes longer for it to get here, but the tickets are cheaper.

And on another note; Have you ever noticed that Anime characters never blink? My dad pointed that out to me while I was watching one of my old Dragonball Z VHSs. I thought it was the darnedest thing. The only time that they blink is when they're confused. XD Seriously, just watch Naruto or something then watch Spongebob, you'll see what I mean. They don't blink!

It wasn't in the show, though, just parked nearby. It should have been in the show. I tried to talk my dad into putting the Triumph(the BatMobile? [link] ) in the parade, he said that he was afraid that he would run over the little kid's fingers. I don't blame him for that, you know how little kids are at parades. >.>

So far my dad and I have put on 1 1/2 strips on his Yaris, you remember the one; [link] Oh, and we've also painted the rims red. Once the rest of the second strip is on, I'll put up the picture. We're also looking for smaller strips to put on the sides along the doors. My mom says that we're 'bonding' My dad and I say we're screwing off productively.

I'll be signing up for classes this week. My friend, Tisha, says that it was a nightmare! But, I'm not too worried. I've been working a lot so far this summer and I've managed to get $1,000 worth of scholar ships, (The power of words!), so I should be set for the first year or so.

Holy crap! My birthday is in five days! I haven't thought about it up until now! XD

I've been reading books for the last few days. I've just finish The Gargoyle By Andrew Davidson and have now started the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini. I plan on doing quite a bit of reading this summer. I plan on working this summer and starting my collage courses this fall.

I was Madam D'arque, (pronounced 'Dark' ) You know the old man who make the deal with Gaston about sending Marice to the asylum in the movie, inside the bar? That's me! There was so much makeup on me to make me look that old . . . They even added gray streaks to my hair! XD I was 17 going on 70! Though I wanted to play as Cogsworth, but I made the best with what I got. I played D'arque so well! And it was fun, too! I even got to do an evil laugh.

And there was this once scene, after everyone was human again, where Lumiere, chases Babette off stage. He pick up a pair of boxers, from the previous fight scene where Wardrobe throws her contents everywhere, and as he exits he says, "I can finally wear these!" The crowd laughed at that! But, get this, once he and Babette were behind the side curtain Babette lets out a loud giggle and Lumiere THROWS THE BOXERS BACK ONSTAGE! The whole audience was laughing so hard! I couldn't breath myself. Babette's feather duster so followed the undergarments.

It was all unplanned! Mrs. Potts couldn't say her lines she was laughing so hard. And Cogsworth tried to keep a somewhat straight, yet shocked face. If I was him I would have said something like, "Lucky fellow."

Ahh, it was so much fun. But, I am glad it's over. I can finally get back to working regular hours at my job. I'm so tired. I haven't been getting much sleep. Daylight Savings Time didn't help much either. Ah, well, it'll balance out in time.
