They told us nothing was wrong, he didn't do that there. When he came home he was wheezing and coughing still. None the better.

Not knowing what to think, he was still doing it the next morning. So we brought him AGAIN to the clinic. We received a call sometime mid-day, which they thought he had lung cancer. Later they did more analysis and found that he had picked an infection called blastocytosis.
When we went to take him home, we spoke to the vet, about this.

Blastocytosis is a fungal infection of the lungs, which can be picked up from random spores outside in the dust, dirt, or air. When these spores are taken into the body, they rapidly infect vital organs such as the lungs, making it incredibly hard to breath. There is treatment, but in most cases Blasto kills 1 out of 3 dogs that is infected. Treatment is harsh, because when the fungal spores are killed inside the body, they release toxins, which ... makes it none the better.

The medicine was two pills, twice, daily. At first I was able to get it in him rather easy, but things seemed to get worse because he just.. was having a harder time just breathing. It was getting to the point where he wasn't wanting to eat or drink. He drank for a while, but threw it up later. By the next day I was having to force the pills in him, dispite that I did not want to stress him out, he HAD to take the medicine.

Its hard to deal with having had to do everything myself. Mother was in constant hystarics and father gave up because he couldn't get him to swallow the pills one night.. I was able to get them down him though. Just me.

It was increagly difficult, he couldn't swallow, he just wanted to breath. I had to syringe (not with needle) water into his mouth with the meds to get them down, as well as to just keep him hydrated.

He passed away early in the morning yesterday, some time after 4 AM. In the kitchen and on his side, no longer breathing.
