the exam was hard and I had quite a time preparing for everything.....I was literally exhausted by viola practising. the good thing is that I've really achieved a new level of musical phrasing and expression, as well as solved some old technical difficulties. as far as I can tell, I have much more to do - and I feel thrilled to do it!
I've never been so happy in my whole life
right now I'm in Belgrade with my fiancee, enjoying a deserved break in many ways.....for the time being, I'll make no new sculptures.

I was even happier since this is the hardest part of my program, the rest will be like a walk in the park

for example, life itself. it lasts so long, and is often a great waste of time for some individuals.....or isn't? and yet, approximately 80 years of life is NOTHING compared to millions of years in Earth's creation - or space itself, which is ever debated about its beginning. did it start from some point? but from which point? what if it hasn't started from some point, but was ageless? time and materia aren't excludable, so..................I realise my puny little mind is unprepared for perceiving such (space) distances and such amount of eons. I can't even perceive the distance from Earth to Moon!
can you?
after all, humans seem so insignificant. eventually, we'll all die. space has other intentions.

what shall I write, that doesn't change day by day? I feel trapped when forced to write concisely about myself or squeeze my vision of anything into exact words. maybe I'm capable of doing that, but I don't like it. you'll have to find it out by yourselves.
I do tinfoil commissions, and regarding the transport outside of Croatia - we'll think of something! it is possible, in the end.
my tinfoil sculptures are made without wire support, and their weight is based solely on the quantity and coverage of layers of tinfoil sheets I'm using. I don't do just fantasy, I'm open to suggestions

anyway, if the journal has a purpose of textual presentation of myself, you'll have to read between the between lines and guess your best. I'm always something else than I assumed, and I'm here inside my head (or at least I should be)! everyone is into psychoanalysm these days, but there isn't much interest in history. and history tells much more than psychoanalism about the people. it is the field experience of the workings of human mind, offering us tremendous amount of mistakes to learn about and from. not just mistakes, of course, but the sunny side is easy.
did you ever feel ashamed of our deeds? ]]> ~Koh-I-Noor http://Koh-I-Noor.deviantart.com/journal/9720750/ http://Koh-I-Noor.deviantart.com/journal/9720750/ Mon, 14 Aug 2006 03:39:50 PDT ošamućena iznenadnim zadovoljstvom, pokušala se nasmiješiti. uspjela je. osjetila je i nalet energije i čak i volju da se pomakne. podigla je desni dlan i promatrala ga, pomičući polako prste. jedan po jedan, prsti su se lijeno pomicali. moglo bi se reći da su čak i...plesali, na neki svoj čudan način. svaki je dobio priliku za svoju solo točku, koja je u njenoj glavi postajala cijela jedna koreografija pokreta. uvis, ispružen kažiprst...polagano i precizno opisivanje polukruga nadolje...napinjanje mišića, tračak vene vidljiv kroz kožu...završetak kretanja i ponovno savijanje članaka.
proučavajući tako svoju motoriku, nije primjećivala da su pokreti prstiju sve polaganiji i da ona više zamišlja taj pokret, negoli se on stvarno dešava. negdje pri trzaju prstenjaka postala je svjesna te činjenice. to ju je oneraspoložilo, što zbog razbijanja koncentracije, što zbog saznanja da je na rubu između sna i jave - kao i uvijek. pokušala je balansirati na njemu neko vrijeme, prije, ali je odustala jer joj je to bilo suviše iscrpljujuće. uostalom, ona je često odustajala. bolje odustati umjesto uludo trošiti energiju u nešto što je i tako osuđeno na propast.
pokušala se sjetiti o čemu je razmišljala prije buljenja u balet svojih prstiju, no nije joj išlo. zamislila je događaje od posljednjih par sati kao vlak misli i krenula istraživati vagone od zadnjeg prema prvome. zapravo se i dalje nije mogla sjetiti o čemu je razmišljala jer je zamislila vlak iz devetnaestog stoljeća na Divljem Zapadu i sebe kao kauboja-pljačkaša koji prolazi kroz vagone. vidjela je izbuljena lica putnika u kupeima, dame i gospodu koje je toliko prestrašila svojom pojavom, da se nisu usudili riječi izustiti. zagledala se u jednu ženu u bijeloj bluzi, suknji sa tartan uzorkom i malim okruglim šeširićem na glavi. izgledala je kao srednjovječna usidjelica. Čekaj!..kakva suknja sa tartan uzorkom, jebote?
"malo su se špekule ispremiješale u mom svijetu", pomisli ona. to ju nije frustriralo. dapače. Bilo joj je drago što ne razmišlja u strogim povijesnim okvirima. zato je u slijedeći kupe smjestila dubinskog ronioca u odijelu, nekog američkog predsjednika (nije imao neki poseban identitet, osim što je bio američki predsjednik) i plišanog slona. i još par putnika iz razdoblja u čijim je odrednicama razmišljala na početku. ]]> ~Koh-I-Noor
