after my last journal i went to two more shows. Ruddigore (i love the story, but i think it could hve been performed a lot better) and Princess Ida (which wasn't bad).
then we left Buxton for Stratford.
i went to the most haunted house in England and was harrassed by ghosts. one of them (a man that was folded up in a murder pit under the floor and left to die) made me sick (like i was about to vomit). i was glared at by the mean old lady at the top of the stairs. then she pulled a rude face at on of the guys that runs the place (she doesn't like men). and then i had my hair pulled by a guy that was tortured in the house. he had fistfulls of his hair ripped out and eventually just hung himself from the rafters near the main stairs.
the only nice ghost was Lucy. she died in a tavern fire down the street when she was about seven or eight years old. she held my hand ^-^ i kind of miss her...XD i drew a picture of her. so i'll post it eventually.

then we drove to Guildford, Surrey to visit some family friends. while we were there we went up to Windsor Castle and Brighton.
Monday was spent wandering around London. then on Tuesday i went to the Tower of London.

i'll upload my pictures in the near future. but first (seeing as i only have four days left of my summer holiday) i need to finish my school work.... >_< lol

you know that odd English accent i've always had? well it's much more prevalent now. so next time you speak to me please don't be annoyed XD i don't sound like an American at all. which doesn't bother me in the least.

so i've seen two Gilbert and Sullivan shows since i've been here.
on sunday night i saw the Pirates of Penzance. a lovely production that i thought went very well. a bit over done when it came to choreography (can't remember to save my life whether or not theres an 'h' in that...>_<; oh well. i think there is...) but otherwise, well done.
monday night was my aunt's cabaret. Love in the Subjunctive... XD (for those of you who aren't too keen on the English language that's usually anything that follows the phrases may, might, could, should or would.)
and last night i saw a production of The Sorcerer. it was alright. i loathed some of the voices. it was a bit under choreographed. but the man that played John Wellington Wells (the sorcerer) did very VERY well.
tonight's agenda: Ruddigore! one of my personal favorites (along with the Mikado of course ^-^ but we missed that one. it was saturday night...*sniffle*) i do hope that this production turns out MUCH better than the one that we saw a few months ago in Jersey City. that was absolutely dreadful. terrible singing, badly rehearsed... the whole deal . ugh. but seeing as these theater/opera companies are here for a competition it should a lot better.

i went to Poole's Cavern yesterday. there was a real skull on one of the stalagmites XD it was great. my claustrophobia didn't bother me at all. and of course it helped that we had an immensely cute guide he actually reminded me of William (my character) although his hair wasn't quite as long. XD

i'm currently at Project X. my newfound favourite wi-fi cafe. =]
then it's of to the carousel for shopping. =] a bit of retail therapy before Ruddigore will be nice.

i'll try to update again before i leave Buxton on Friday. Then it's off to visit family friends until tuesday night. =]

i don't really think there is anything else for me to update. except maybe that I'm not going to be posting any new drawings for a while. I'm sick of taking mediocre pictures of my art and posting blurry copies. So i'm saving all of my current work until late July when i will have temporary access to a scanner. Until then it will be strictly photography, desctop screenshots, and ddigital work for me. =]

upcoming projects:
-a few Naruto drawings such as Sasu/Saku, and a few group sketches
-some Death Note stuff

I have recently begun working on a Harry Potter Marauders' Era Lily/James fic. =]
So, if you love Potter, the Marauders, the Lily/James pairing or you just feel the need to read a bit of fluff mixed with action mixed with Sirius skipping off for ice cream and poor houseleves named Lock... you could read it! =]

"What Happened to Houjo?" - Inu/Kag. Houjo bashing. ALMOST COMPLETE. all that's left to be written is the epilogue. =]

"My Darling, Sango" - Sang/Mir. Sango nearly dies so... yeah. BUT SHE DOESNT!!!! =] no real bashing... oneshot.

and for those of you that are new to fanfics...here's a bit of vocab for ya!

fanfic- a (usually) short story (mult-chaptered) written as a spin off from another, more popular, published story (ex: Harry Potter, Cirque du Freak, InuYasha, Fruits Basket...)

oneshot- a single chaptered fanfic.

pairing- romantic relationship (ex. Lily/James, Kyo/Tohru, Harry/Ginny...)

ficship- same as pairing

fluff- kind of sappy love story, but in an adorable kind of way =] what i usually write...lol

lemon/citrus- i warn you... do NOT make the mistake of clicking on a story without reading the WHOLE summary... this is like... the porn of fanfics...*shivers*

yaoi- male/male pairing (ex. Raito ((Light))/ L)

yuri- female/female pairing (Kagome/Kikyou... i don't even want to THINK about that...*shivers*)

instead of going to costa rica this summer, i'm going to london for two weeks in august. i'm helping with my aunt's theater opera thing (No it's not that crazy kind of opera where people dress like freakin vikings... i think it'll be gilbert and sullivan, possibly Yeoman of the Guard... or maybe the Gondoliers... i dunno). but i'll probably end up singing in the chorus for it anyway, whatever it is.

My series doesn't have a solidified title as of yet. But for now i'm referring to it as Ice Blood. two of my favorite things! no i did not run away from an insane asylum. they said i could go home... JUST KIDDING!
but anyway heres a bit about Ice Blood.

Main Character: Miyuki

My manga takes place in an alternate universe. The year is 20093. Earth (yes Earth. its an alternate reality not another planet) is similar to what it is now. Although they mix their clothing so somethimes they wear modern clothes other times they have more medieval (did i even spell that right?) garb. Miyuki's entire village is brutally murdered when she is five and she is taken in by Yuri, a strict vegetarian with a strange lifestyle. Things only get more complicated as Miyuki's thirteenth birthday comes around and she begins to change both physically and mentally (no not puberty you idiots). She ends up on a journey to save the world she lives in from total destruction. Her number one enemy? The Bachiatari.

races involved in this story: human, demon, alchemist, vampire, elf
they do not have last names because no one does in this world.
there are generals, one from each race (except human), that train Miyuki to use her many powers.
the generals: Yuri (Alchemist), Taishuko (Vampire), Hikaru (demon), Hanako (Elf)
