There are some really bad ones. But if I can photograph them, I'll update with a few. Till then, enjoy this photograph of a flower, which despite it being December, has decided its a perfect time to bloom.

I'm uploading shots of my paintings that I have been doing in painting class. Not anywhere close to DiVinci or anything like that (More like something that will make you go "huh...is that a bike? or a tree?")

So here is the series defs.

1. The Paintings of Doom
We are required for our final grade to have 10 figural studies done. I will upload them as we do them (basically one per class). So far there are four. There may be more then ten, but I can only guarantee ten.

2. Other paintings
As well as the figural studies I have to turn in the following:

Still Life
Landscape
Marine scape
Urban Landscape
Figure (Nude)
Figure (clothed)

I shall upload as I get them done. Maybe a few photos I've taken recently as well. Who knows.

I'm going back to school for graphic design so I will be forced into being creative, so you might see more stuff. but this summer I am planning some art. Hopefully a few things I owe people as well.

So back to the pictures. Got two of the view from my grandmother's apartment down the hill into the downtown area of her town. And one of Sugar, the white cat who decided that we belonged to her now.

I'll be uploading pictures today to get some new content here.

Question for those who actually read this (which is like 2 I think), Should I offer any of my pics up for print status? I'm going to be doing a Art Nouveau style portriet of Persephone. Basically its going to be after she's eaten the pomegrante seeds and is transforming from the godess of spring to the Queen of the Underworld. Hopefully it will turn out as good as it is in my head.
I still need to come up with two designs (I need three in total, one major and two minor).

Drawing using a mouse is harder then drawing with a pencil. Not so much freedom in lines. I think I know someone with a electronic drawing pad but I'm not sure if I do or not. I think I shall get one if I ever buy adobe illustrater or any of the programs I am learning right now.
I did some embossing earlier today but I'm not sure it would show up well on a scan if I decided to put it here. It's watercolor paper, so it's white.

Perhaps when I start making prints I will scan those.
Does anyone know how to do a color seperation when it is the same color meeting each other? I want to use Elaine at the water as my color seperation project but as you can see, she's got alot of brown that is next to other brown objects.

Someone Please Explain this to me....

Why would my subscription to Deviant Art be up? I don't remember ever paying for one. Are they going to make everyone buy an account now? That will suck. Please tell me if you know what on earth they are talking about.

I hope I don't have to pay for a new acount as I have no credit card or paypal account and I really do not wish to have them taking it directly out of my account.

Unless one of my RL friends can figure out something where they pay now and I'll pay them back I will have to let my account go I guess if it is true.

*sigh* I really like DeviantArt and posting my artwork here. I have no where else to put it.

Got a new Scrap for people to look at. It is called "Flowerchild." I want some feedback before I finish it and upload it onto the Deviation page.

I am considering doing a picture of a female mythological character by the name of Elaine de Corbinic. She's the Princess of Corbinic in King Arthur Mythology. She also happens to be the wife of Lancelot (when he wasn't mooning over Guinevere) and the mother of Galahad, who was considered the greatest knight to ever live.

I notice very little art done on her. There is several paintings and other forms of art for another incantation of her known as Elaine, lady of Shalot. That Elaine ended up willing herself to die and sailing herself down to Camelot with a letter explaining that it was Lancelot's fault since he couldn't love her back.

Personally I like Elaine de Corbinic better. She's a much stronger women and frankly could stand up to Guinevere (and did!) So I want to draw her.

The problem exists as that I don't have any source material. Does anyone have any thoughts on what Elaine would look like? I suppose first I must find out where Corbinic is and withere she is Welsh (although I'm pretty sure she is) and then what are the characteristics of Welsh people. Plus I am making her into something that could fit the King Arthur film.

I figure she's a brunette. Long wavy hair. Possibly auburn because I've heard of red being prominent in Welsh people.

Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone had any thoughts as to what Elaine would be like?

EDIT: What I have found on where Elaine was from:

Corbenic:
Although in Welsh legend, this seems to be Castell Dinas Bran near Llangollen in Powys; in a medieval literary context, it ought to be in the North somewhere. If Listinoise is Northumberland, I see no reason why Corbenic shouldn't be identified with Corbridge. The monumental buildings of the old Roman station of Corstopitum would certainly have given the place a mysterious and magical atmosphere.

So it could very well be Scottish.... Either way, it's Celtic.
