I've realized how little I comment on artworks on DA now. I used to a lot more. But this year I've gotten slack. I'm going to challenge myself with commenting on at least three pieces by UNKNOWN artists each day. I know my internet dies some days, but I can easily catch up on days it's working (either way at least 21 good comments a week) I also want to be more supportive of those guys who watch me. I mean, you guys bother to look at the junk I come up with, and I can't be bothered to take a moment to leave a quick comment on your fully awesome art? Eh, I'm so slack, this is going to change. XD

Wow I had like 235 artworks in my gallery and I managed to get sooooo many of them into storage. That's a job I've been meaning to get done for aaaaages.

Now since my major art-block that lasted like two months, my style's changed a bit, hopefully I've improved a bit too. I've changed a lot too over the past term. I discovered the portfolio-making thingy and so made one of those now.

[link] Still under construction and whatnot though. So I can keep all my junkie stuff right here on DA and the more serious work in my portfolio.

I've also totally updated my trades info and FAQ, and you'll notice Koryzio and Melagos' designs have changed a little. In fact Koryzio's changed a LOT over the last year, the only things that are still the same is her light blue mane, the long crooked-smile maw, and the spike on her tail.

Oh yeah, another thing, I've joined up with Twitter, my account name being DragonOfOz, so feel free to add me. Though I don't know how often I'll be using it. It seems...like, really boring. REALLY.

What is a koryzio?
The name I go by on most places on the internet. Koryzio is also my main character/persona's name. She is a herrerasaur, though doesn't really look much like a real one at all, and is basically me in cartoon form. My closer friends who have read my Archodian histories will remember Koryzio as a hero from some of the stories (in these histories he's actually a male though, in the Archodian world).

Can I do a collab with you on OC?
I'd love to, but can't. I don't have OpenCanvas. I'm waiting for a Mac version to come out.

How long have you been drawing?
As long as I can remember. Even as a three year old I was making up my own stories that I would illustrate. As I got older I kept it up, drawing anything, on anything, anywhere. I saw some digital art that fascinated me back early 2006 so I decided I'd teach myself to do the same, so as far as digital art goes I am self taught. I started getting real serious about design then and kept working to improve, then in 2008 was able to do art as a subject in college which I continued as a chosen subject this year, so I could learn traditional mediums.

Ugh...you spelt "favourite" wrong.
No way... you Americans are the ones spelling it wrong. XD Aussies spell most things the same way the Brits do, like "colour" & "favourite" etc.

What programs do you use for your digital art?
Well I love Photoshop Elements 3 and ArtRage 2, and now I'm slowly teaching myself to use Illustrator and Pixen (a Mac version of MS Paint) as well. Other programs I use from time to time or have tried before are Corel Painter 2, DrawBerry, DrawIt, EazyDraw, Etegami, Expression 3, GIMP, Inkscape, LineForm, PaintBrush (Mac version of MS Paint), Pencil, and Vector Designer, which are all available for Mac, but they aren't terribly exciting.

What other websites are you on?
DA is the site I spend the most time on, but I also use these from time to time. There are also plenty of other places you may find me that I can't recall at the moment... my accounts are usually named "Koryzio".

What do you specialize in drawing?
Trying to improve in everything, and try to draw as large a variety of things as possible. Most of the time I'm sketching up dragons and dinosaurs or fishes.

I'm not sure about taking commissions, I don't know what people are willing to pay. If you're interested in commissioning me, just make an offer and if I like it, you've got a deal. Note that I really only want to be payed through Paypal as it's safer.

If you want to offer me a subscription or an adCAST or something else instead of actual money, that will do just fine as well. It's whatever you're comfortable with offering for my work.

(Something I've seen other artists do before. If you have any items that you think might interest me that you'd like to trade for a commission instead, that's perfectly acceptable. I'm generally interested in collecting anything related to dragons, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Spyro, dinosaurs, fossils, horses, fish, dogs, mythical creatures, or good fantasy books (tatty 2nd hands included). I don't base these things on what they're worth, just on if I'd like them in my house, so give it a try if you think you have something that will interest me.)

What's an "Art Trade"?

These are easy enough. You tell me what character of yours you want me to draw and I tell you what one of my characters I want you to draw. Then we swap art when it's finished. I usually take a loooooong time to get them finished though.

What's a "Collaboration"?

A collab is when two (or sometimes even more) artists all work on the same piece. They might draw a different character each to be blended into one work... or one artist might do the lineart, the other does the colouring... or one may do the characters, the other the backgrounds... or they might just do a total mishmash of insane stuff all over the page together (oh yeah, TONS of fun, that).

Requests

Basically free art for you. You tell me what to draw, I draw it. FREE.

I do these from time to time. For example, when I find I have a week to spare or something I might post up three free requests in my journal, and basically it's first there, first served. Just post in my journal that you want a request and it's yours.

Ah man, I hate Neopets now. I used to do those draik adoptables which can still be seen here: [link] But now I don't do these anymore. Gave up on that site long ago.

Today's my birthday! W00T! Yikes, seventeen years old now, too ooooooooooooooooold... LOL, does anyone else here have that problem where you have everything you need to be happy and don't want your parents to go spending money on you, but they still ask you what you want over and over and over? XD

Okay, some other news, I am in desperate need of money. My Jap class want to all go on a holiday to experience the real thing. For a trip to Japan (or it could end up being Taiwan we go to, which would be awesome cool!) early next year I need about a thousand Australian dollars, which means I need to save about AU$20 per week for the next year and a bit. I'm trying to get a job currently, but is difficult when I'm living in dormitories, and especially since my dad really doesn't want me to get a job, says I should be focusing on my study. So if I want any money, it'll have to be from doing commissions, selling off all the junk I've accumulated in my room over the years, and just asking for money from birthdays/Christmas to put towards it.

If anyone is interested in commissioning me, I am going to let you guys come up with the prices yourselves. I don't know what people are willing to pay for them, but I'll wait for offers, and if what I am offered sounds reasonable, then sure I'll go for it! It's also a great way to push me to do more art during the holidays.

And remember, for traditional arts (such as those done in watercolours, coffee or graphite pencil) I can send the actual piece to you. Great gift idea.

I'm also interested in subscriptions, so if people are more comfortable with buying those instead... well, not as helpful as money, but still cool.

And concerning comments and stuff, I'm not always able to reply to your comments and stuff guys, sometimes I can miss them altogether, but I try to reply to them all! I just want to say here and now how much I appreciate it! It really makes my day, and you guys are all awesome!

Now I'm back at college and starting to get back into the swing of things. My optional subjects for the year are Art, Japanese (seeing as my parents wanted me to learn an Asian language and my school isn't providing Chinese for Beginners this year), and IPT.

This way I can do the subjects that are easiest for me, get a lot of points toward uni (I don't even need to do higher than general maths, which is so awesome!) then I can do what I like...even considering transferring over once I'm there and doing some psychology work.

Despite the subjects all being pretty easy for me, I'm still busy most of the time, so I'm closing commissions until I get this massive load of art finished (both personal work, gift art, and trades from long ago). I'll be slow in uploading many new things, for the first term at least, so yeah...

No, I have NOT died.

Nor have I given up on DA... yet.

So I haven't been on DA because the stuff I've been doing won't upload from home, but I HAVE been doing lots of art through the holidays.

Holy moly I've been away for ages, such great holidays and so much to type about!

So for Christmas I went to visit my cousins and whatnot in the country. It was great to see the place again, but through the middle of the day it was so hot you could actually feel yourself cooking if you went outside. I was jumping into the pool repeatedly to cool off. One problem I faced was constantly feeling drowsy. The climate out on the farm is so different from on the coast so I'm always really tired when I'm out there... same thing happens to my relatives when they visit us on the coast, they end up just sleeping a lot. XD

And for Christmas I got an iPod Nano!

Awesome little shiny red one, so now I'm using it for a good few solid hours each day. Now I don't need to go get my computer whenever I want to listen to music. ^_^

Did tons more stuff, learning circus tricks from circus people, bowling, canoeing, swimming, eating lots of sugar, furniture removal jobs, film-making, and spending most of the day sleeping in the hot weather. Gee, it's been so sticky and hot this Summer! They're just getting worse and worse each year. Meh, global warming?

Now, I wish I could yak on about how the New Year's party went, and the RvB marathon, and the lazertag, and all the rest of it, but I won't because I can hear you yawning from here.

Hah!

Anyways, more important news is I'm starting up a little group called Madness Studios with some of my friends. I'm still working on the website, but the majority of it is up and running: [link]

Oh and some more news, I'm going to sell commissions in any style you like for only US$10 each (maximum price, those who want simpler or smaller commissions will be charged less). The commissions can star up to three characters and will be 700x700 pixels in size. Since they are so cheap in price (I mean, come on, one commission is cheaper than a decent lunch!) I won't be spending more than six hours on each piece (gee, I'd be getting paid more for working at McDonalds). See my newest piece, Kneo (digital piece, 4.5 hrs), for example: [link]

I'm only selling these until my art slots are full, so if you're interested get dibs on a slot quickly. You don't need to pay until you've seen and approved of my sketched out plans. They're a great old series (the new movie that came out '08 is totally inferior) and plain old fun to watch with my parents and siblings when I go back home. These holidays haven't been anything exciting yet. All my friends are still in school for another week, so not much for me to do. My days are mostly full of trekking through the bush, playing with any instrument I find around the house, drawing occasionally, bikeriding, and listening to music. I need some sort of life. XD

Now I am going to set myself a rule: DO NOT DO ANY MORE DIGITAL ART UNTIL COCO'S TRADE IS DONE!!! Which means I'll have to get it finished before Christmas because I've got some Christmas art to finish for some pals. Two pieces have been planned already, I don't know how many I can get done.

I really need to get it finished. I've never taken this long to do a piece before!

And speaking of Christmas, did you ever consider buying a commission as a GIFT for someone? Maybe your mother really likes dragons? I've still got one art slot open so if anyone's interested...

It'd really be good to have a bit of cash to spend on gifts for my own family. Got stuff for my parents, but still need something for my siblings. So I'm going to really work on getting all the stuff in my slots finished this week, and then advertising around for commissions.

Well, holidays are so close now, I practically have only one more day of school left (two hours on Monday, four hours on Tuesday...normal school day is six hours long) and I get to see the movie Australia as an excursion on Monday!

Usually I can only see one movie a year (this year was WALL.E since I missed Prince Caspian) so this is quite exciting for me. I'm still not sure whether it will be really good or not though... some reviews are giving it 5/10 or 3/5, while others are giving it five stars and saying it's one of the best films ever.

No more art for a while, I have packing to do, since I go home in a few days. I don't come back to college for TWO MONTHS!

Choosing subjects for next year today. I will be doing art, and most likely Japanese as well, but I still need to choose between biology, business studies, and computing for my last choice! SO HARD TO CHOOSE!

FINALLY the School Certificate's done. The whole year of studying and preparing comes down to the three shortest days of the year. Bleh.

It was really quite an odd week and actually wasn't too serious at all. In most school's (especially one as academic as this one) you'd expect the kids to put a serious face on things for the day, but not here. Everyone totally mucked around all day even more than usual, it was hilarious. Really good "I don't care!" atmosphere (except for the few students here and there that study and review til the last second). Only time it was quiet was in the exam room (and even then not always). But all the rest of the day was full of stupidity and jollity and joyfulness and STUPID JOLLY JOYFULNESS.

Yeah. Good times. I like scaring people with cicada shells too. XD LOL, I am so mean.

And I did something REALLY STUPID on the first day. The lunch wasn't that good that day and was a couple of hours earlier than normal time so I was starving at dinner time. Desert was banana pudding so I GORGED myself. FOUR HELPINGS! Then I felt sick.

Greedy guts...

Now I can take things a bit easier and get back into the art again (though there are a few exams left and I have vet work experience for a few days next week). In celebration of finishing the S.C. I am going to do three digital (with inked lineart) commissions for only $5 each (one dragon/animal character [as complex as you like and can be full-bodied or a bust, your choice] with a plain background, see first example below). After those three are done, my commission prices go back to normal EXPENSIVE prices.

So all the study I've done aaaaaaaaall year finally comes down to these three days. School Certificate exams. I actually can't concentrate on studying, it's really weird. I don't feel nervous about the exams, in fact I feel kind of excited and am keen to get them over and done with.

So don't expect to see me from Monday to Wednesday. I want to take it easy and not have any distractions like the internet around. I want to pack up my sketch books, Wacom and scanner and HIDE THEM! Or else I won't get ANY study done, LOL.

I'm not sure about taking commissions, I don't know what people are willing to pay. If you're interested in commissioning me, just make an offer and if I like it, you've got a deal. Note that I really only want to be payed through Paypal as it's safer.

If you want to offer me a subscription or an adCAST or something else instead of actual money, that will do just fine as well. It's whatever you're comfortable with offering for my work.

What's a "Collaboration"?

A collab is when two (or sometimes even more) artists all work on the same piece. One may do one character and the other may do another character... or one artist might do the lineart, the other does the colouring... or one may do the characters, the other the backgrounds... or they might just do a total mishmash of insane stuff all over the page (like I often do, it's very fun). I will do any kind of collab, don't be afraid to ask.

They are really fun to do!

Requests

I do these from time to time. For example, when I find I have a week to spare or something I might post up three free requests in my journal, and basically it's first there, first served. Just post in my journal that you want a request and it's yours.

How To Pay

If you want to pay with actual money I will accept payment through PayPal or internet banking. However I'll also accept subscriptions to DA as payment.

If you have any items that you think might interest me that you'd like to trade for a commission instead, that's perfectly acceptable. I'm generally interested in collecting anything related to dragons, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Spyro, dinosaurs, fossils, horses, mythical creatures, or good fantasy books (tatty 2nd hands included). I don't base these things on what they're worth, just on if I'd like them in my house, so give it a try if you think you have something that will interest me.

If you have a draik on Neopets (or a really cool dragon character on DA), what happens is I draw a custom one of these of your character for you.

What I Will and Won't Draw

I specialize in:
* dragons
* dinosaurs
* dogs/wolves
* horses
* and will try my hand at ANYTHING ELSE

I do both anthros and quads, and will have a go at drawing anything. Mind you, I'm not very good at drawing humans or fire, they are my weak points, but will work my heart out until I get it right.

What I refuse to draw:
* yiff/p0rn or anything related to it
* anything else I consider "sick" or offensive
* copyrighted characters that aren't yours (including from movies/books/games/Neopets [except for trades/requests]) unless you are buying a gift for someone of their own character

I must admit, I am always nervous before seeing a Pixar film. They've never really gone wrong, and all their films have been insanely good, I'm always afraid that one day they'll make a major slip-up and destroy all the good they've ever done. I mean, Pixar has come up with films about toys, bugs, monsters, cars, superheroes, rats, fish, and now one about a robot, and they ALWAYS manage to surprise me with a totally intriguing and unique movie every time.

This one was simply fabulous, just like the others. I was assuming that, being very little dialogue, I would tend to get bored and start getting fidgety, but there was never a dull moment!

I also generally hate romantic-type films, but I didn't actually find this one soppy at all. And the whole "we are destroying the Earth" theme was really extremely powerful.

How do they always manage to come out always the best of the best? There aren't many, if any, companies that could beat Pixar. They'll always remain up at the top with New Line, Walden Media, and Dreamworks. Ten out of ten for the awesome plot, lovable characters, mind-blowing use of technology, and the hundreds of times I laughed out loud through this movie.

It will be a sad sad day for the whole world the day Pixar makes a crappy film. Here's to them staying true forever and that it won't ever happen. Cheers!

PS ~ And as an extra note, I am no longer taking requests since I'm sick of getting them from ungrateful n00bs and simply don't have the time anymore. I am now only doing them if a real life friend of mine asks and if I have the time, so please people (hint, hint, youngsters from Neopets), no more requesting art for free, whether it's for your collection, for a school project, whatever. Sorry, I just can't take it anymore.

I may do Christmas giveaways in the future (like, say three at a time) or for other special occasions, but most of the time I won't be doing art for free anymore.

PPS ~ And I've finally decided I can now be bothered to join some clubs, so as to bring more attention to my work... I just wish there was like a function on DA for moving masses of art to your scraps at once, so I can get rid of all the old junk. Anyone know of any way I can do this without editing each separate deviation and changing the category?

Well, it isn't all that bad, only assignments for history & PDHPE, and a heck of a lot of study and reviewing for my school certificate that comes up in a few weeks.

I don't understand this term... instead of coming back to a NEW term, it's like coming back to where we left off in term 3. Did we even have HOLIDAYS?? If we did they shot by too fast. Too fast for me. Not that there was much to do in the holidays anyway.

Only difference from last term is term 3 was just as fast. It seemed as short as the holidays.

On the other hand, this TERM-4-WANNABEE is draaaaaaaaaaagging. Dragging oh so slow. And it's SUPPOSED to be the shortest of the year. Seven weeks long.

Ah well, maybe it will pick up speed in a few weeks when those dreaded EXAMS start, and the review work is gone for good!

~ On the brighter side, Summer is coming, and though it's still been chilly most days, the sticky hot sweaty days can't be too far ahead. Then I can start swimming and snorkeling again, hopefully every day.

Uh, Summer has a bad side too. Where I come from it tends to get REALLY hot (in December it gets up to 40-45ËC) so I start sweating when Summer approaches, even if it's relatively cold weather. I think it must be some kind of adaption I have gotten from growing up here. Sweating a lot doesn't worry me, but everyone at school (which is in a relatively cooler area) doesn't think much of the B.O. and stickiness. XD

No, wearing deo doesn't work, I just have to keep well away from all my mates so they don't suffer, LOL.

~ I've been watching that Red vs. Blue series by Roosterteeth on YouTube. It's a Halo thing, but it's sooooo funny! They just get better and better as each episode passes! Hilarious... in a retarded kind of way. XD

It's made me want to do some kind of artwork of the characters (I was thinking or Tucker or Caboose) fighting with my main characters, like Koryzio and Melagos and Aralu.

At least until I get them sorted properly and on some sort of fixed price.

Until then, I am taking commissions for sketchy-lineart paintings (like all those I've uploaded recently, like "Dark Dwaggy" and "Troodon") for $5 each (or $2 for avvies).

$5 for a digital painting of a single character with a simple background. Between 700 pixels and 1300 pixels wide. (Give me your screen resolution size if you want a wallpaper.)

$2 for a 100x100 avatar of your character's head (bordered and can have your name on it). Simple animations, like blinking/glowy eyes cost an extra dollar ($3 total). I am not yet doing complex animations, sorry.

Can be any animal character you want (specialize in dragons and dinosaurs though), just send me either a detailed description or a reference picture.

On another note, I'm getting less worried about this school certificate. Everyone I talk to about it says it's really just a big bludge (except for the teachers of course). So I'll keep the study up... I just won't study as much, or lose any much-needed sleep over it.

Whew! Just got back from an excursion to the beach (one not too far from my own beach house) and now I'm feeling pretty tuckered.

Anyway...

W00T!!!

Am now half-way or nearly half-way to my holiday, thanks to a very generous donation of $500 from my grandfather.

Only $500-$700 more to go!

With only two and a half weeks until the holidays I really have to advertise my commissions. Gah! Too many assignments and exams at the end of term!

Okay, and secondly, I was wondering how many people would be interested in me making temporary tattoos from either commissions ($5 per custom design) or my past pieces. I would need at least one hundred people interested before I can get an idea of whether I'd be actually making any profit at all. Costs for the printed tattoos would be set of 8x 2by3" sheet OR 25x normal sized tattoos sheet for probably $7.50 each (colour) or $5 (black and white). Each design you commissioned would cost $5.

I decided I'd finally give FurAffinity a go and see how it goes in comparison to DA. It might be more suitable for an inexperienced artist like me.

Of course I'm still sticking to DA, I'll post about 5% of my sketches up here and all my decent coloured stuff (especially the exchanges, trades, etc.) just as I always have, and I'll TRY to keep in contact with my pals here and keep my journal up to date. FA will for the time being be for my newest art and oekaki pieces (if I ever get round this massive pile of assignments for college). So... chances are I might be going to Uluru these holidays, and I AM SO HYPED!

(Well, I will be if we can get enough students from my school wanting to go.) Problem is... cost will be from $1000 to $1200.

That's a heck of a lot to save for, so I'm starting to raise money for it now. I'll have to borrow some money from my parents too and pay it back later, I can't rely on them to pay for everything (they've got to take care of my other siblings).

Therefore, I'm going to be raising my commission prices a little and I'll be updating my commission page soon. I also need to start advertising my art, and, most importantly, IMPROVING it and making it worthwhile for the price.

ABOUT THE T-SHIRTS

What's a Transfer?
It's a special kind of paper that is used to put a picture onto a t-shirt or other piece of clothing.

Cost of Transfers
Here's the price we are charging for transfer sheets, so you can pay these small fees for us to print your own photos/drawings/designs on T-Shirt transfers.
2x3" = $2 (for logos, etc.)
4x6" = $3.50 (size of a normal photo)
1/2 A4 = $4 (size of half a sheet of paper)
A4 = $5 (size of normal sheet of paper)

I started talking to one of the lasses in the college dorms about making up an art club in the school. I reckon it'll be a really interesting idea (we could do art exchanges, make films, have speed-art sessions, insane art games, selling artistic stuff to raise money, go to exhibitions occasionally, etc.) but I doubt many will be interested. I mean, these kids are so lazy when it comes to meetings and stuff.

Anyway, even if we are the only two in it, we've finally decided to call it ADACALOON which stands for Anomalous Design And Creative Artists League (Off Our Nuts), and it's to earn a bit of money for the various things we are saving for (for me it's a sword replica of Sting, and as for Alison...I think she was saving for a hair-straightener or a pair of basketball shoes or something...)

And now I am selling T-SHIRT transfers!

You can buy just the transfer or the t-shirt as well, already ironed. Costs are as follows so far, but prices are flexible, so you can ask about discounts and stuff.

And anyone else at SPIC who likes to draw and wants to earn a bit of money, let me know and I'll add your prices here as well. We need more people to join ADACALOON, then we can do bigger fundraisers and whatnot and earn more moneeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!

Sorry I've been away for the last few days, guys, but I've been at the snow, skiing my heart out (yes, second time this year), and sketching my fingers off in afternoons. Finally got round to seriously doing heaps of plans for CoconutMilkyway's trade.

Now I have A TON OF SKETCHES to scan, and some to colour and finish off.

Seriously, that was the best snow I've seen yet... we have a huge dump of it, the powdery kind, not icy, leaving me with the best skiing experience I've had yet. Couldn't ask for better weather either.

I'm planning on getting some artworks done of Aralu racing over the snow-dunes (if that wasn't a real word, IT IS NOW) in the photos I got.

Now back to schoolwork.

W00T! First day of the Olympic Games! Having so many students from my school being from Beijing I've started getting really competitive this year.

We had a mufti day on Friday and so I went to school looking like some weird little ninja thing, wearing a bandanna and wearing the Aussie flag as a cloak...hey, at least I get credit for being the most patriotic...

Though it kind of made me uncomfortable the way everybody was staring at me weirdly wherever I went. Most of the teachers were supportive though, saying, "Go you Aussie!" and "Good on ya!"

Were supposed to have two hours of mini-olympic games this arvo, but...it rained. That was a major disappointment, especially since that meant extra IST and Maths lessons that afternoon. I wanted to do the sack-races and egg and spoon races!

Finally got to go home this weekend, and will try and get at least one of my exchanges done today... or a decent amount anyway.

JOURNAL ENTRY:

Had a good drawing time up in Sydney over the weekend. Stayed at Beecroft, so spent most of the day in bed, drawing up sketches for this months trades/exchanges and of new and old characters of my own.

Invented about four or five new species for Archodia, and plenty of other junk I will be uploading soonish. I've got a busy schedule this month though, with two art trades, three exchanges, some of my own personal drawings to finish, not to mention lots of excursions and assignments at school.

Okay, what else did I do on the weekend? I watched the rugby...and the Wallabies were SMASHED!!!

Argh! The All Blacks absolutely killed us!

Um, what else is new? Oh yeah!

I found that my pictures looked horribly saturated and blindingly colourful on the school IBM computers. D: Why has no one told me this before?! They look absolutely fine on all my Apple Macs...please, if you run on an IBM/Windows/Linux whatever other kind of computer, could you let me know if my digital pieces look really sore on the eyes. I might have to start lowering the contrast of each before uploading them in future...*sigh* Windows are really such a pain in the a**...I love that saying that I've seen in people's signatures: Computers are like air conditioners, they stop working when you open Windows. XD

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hail Stranger, *headbutts you*

Welcome to my DA stuff. Yeah, I know my art's not too fancy at the moment, but I'm still learning and improving. (As we all are.

Some faster than others.) I am now taking my art more seriously than ever, and am uploading stuff a lot more frequently, whenever I can.

I'm an Aussie (though I wish I was a Numenorean or Rohirrim or something) and am Obsessed, with a captital "O", with Lord of the Rings (since 2001), Redwall (since 2006) and Spyro (since 2000). I am addicted to drawing (and playing with) animals, especially reptiles, fish, horses/camelids, and canines. Also obsessed with medieval warfare/sword-fighting and make up my own characters, illustrations, stories, maps and histories for my fantastical realm, Archodia, ruled by prehistoric reptiles and dragons. I tend to be a night-owl and am more active after dark, so you'll notice most of my drawings will have been done ridiculously late (11:00 pm to 1:00 am usually, but can be earlier or later)... yeah, I like the night.

I alsah like tah mimic other accents, laddie, even when I be typin', so yew'll hear meh go on like this sometimes... itsa probby when yousa hear mesa spaking Gungan that the mostest annoying-tiring-some to listen-hear to. Okay, that's enough stupidness for one day...

Other things that are cool, but not as cool as me favourite thingsesss? Um, let's see, there's gryphons, Star Wars, pirates, fishing/squidding, birds, snow, practical jokes, skiing, Monty Python, guitars and saxophones, stamp-collecting (real and virtual), Toyotas and Volkswagons, Ireland, Good Charlotte songs, various Simple Plan songs (been listening to them since I was eight years old), Pern novels, Chronicles of Narnia, 4W-Motorbikes, tennis, seafood, New Zealand (I so wanna go there!)... there's more, I just can't remember them. So if you want to yak on about me fav subjects, feel free to catch me on MSN sometime.

Things I don't like so much? Um, the cold, crowds, liars, art thieves, Harry Potter, primates, stereotyping, IBM computers (aren't especially bad, but I don't like using them much), standing still, schoolwork that doesn't involve any creativity, schoolwork involving algebra, gossipy people, creepy anime, dolls, anything extremely girly... that should do it for now. XD

Uh, you probably could guess from the above list, but maybe not... Why do you want to know?

What is a collaboration?
When two (or sometimes even more) artists all work on the same piece. One may do one character and the other may do another character... or one artist might do the lineart, the other does the colouring... or one may do the characters, the other the backgrounds... or they might just do a total mishmash of insane stuff all over the page (like I often do, it's very fun).

I love doing collabs with people, so if you ever want to don't be afraid to ask me!

How long have you been drawing?
Let's see now... since I could hold a pencil. It seems most parents lock away crafty arty stuff from their youngsters til they are older, but my mother always had them available to me (I don't know why, maybe the fact my Dad was an arty person). The paper and pens/pencils/textas/crayons were always within my reach, and I loved playing with them. I was making up stories, with illustrations on each page, when I was two.

Me and my siblings (wow, if that wasn't bad grammar I don't know what was!) still do so. We go through a couple of those 500xA4sheet packages each month, from drawing anything and everything! We have fun "sketch like a mad thing" nights too and we get a real kick out of the games we play then.

Ahhh, good old days...before I went to college!

What sort of music do you listen to when you draw?
Um, when I tried to answer that it ended up taking half a page. Let's just say alternative/altern rock, film scores, and insane nonsense songs. If you want to know any more just chat to me on an instant messenger and we can yak about music, it's always a fun topic.

How long have you been doing digital art?
Started back in May, 2006. I still shudder to see my first digital piece (ewwwwwww). And all the art I did more than six months ago seems like absolute junk. Next year I will be ashamed of the gallery I currently have. Funny old world.

Can I add you on MSN/AIM/Yahoo?
Sure! That's why I have them posted on my main page.

I mostly use MSN and keep it open whenever I'm on the net, but be warned, because I'm in Australia usually the times I'm on range from very late at night to the morning for Americans... not always, sometimes I can get on the net at other times.

Artwork Commissions

I'm broke, and so am trying to earn a bit of dough through being commissioned. At the moment, I'm saving for a trip to Uluru that my RE teacher is organizing. This would be the first time I've ever been on a plane (something I've wanted to do since I was two years old) but it's expensive... real expensive (about $1000 to $1200). Ouch.

And it's not fair for me to count on my parents to pay since they've got to focus on my younger brother's therapy and the education of my three sisters, so for once I'm on my own to save up for something MASSIVE and I'm EXCITED!

Though now I'll have to work really hard at fundraising to earn enough money for it. Therefore, my commission prices have gone up a little, especially since with School Certificate coming up I have less and less time to work on my art.

My art isn't anything too fancy, but I do my best and I'm getting there... I try to get a few drawings done every day (99.99% of my old drawings have never made it onto here, and currently, only about 10% or less of current ones are getting uploaded at the moment).

Well, I know it isn't really nice to have favourites, but these guys ought to receive special acknowledgement, in my opinion. Also my pals are listed here.

An INCREDIBLE digital painter, probably the most talented I've ever seen (very cool dragons and fell beasts). Drawings have a sense of realism and believability.

An artist who's art I used to spend hours gawking at on Neopets (before they changed it) and my inspiration to begin learning to do digital art.

Has the best paleo-art gallery I've seen yet. Beautifully done pencil drawings. Also an Apple Mac user and Redwall fanatic. *cheers* Yay for Macs! Eulalia!

I had a fantastic idea for all the 180 comics (and counting) for Lord of the Rings I have been making for the past four months. I'm no good at drawing humans (aside from stick figures, and even they're dodgy) so in my spare time I generally waste time making LotR comics and parodies. Now I know that I can upload them on DA I shall do so, in the order I made them... hold on a minute *turns down Monty Python songs*... so it will take a while, and now I am making them in comic book form and have decided to do it the proper way and start from the beginning now and make an entire parody, so after these first thirty five are up, don't expect more for quite a while.

I'm working on two artworks at the moment, one of Spyro, trying to do justice to all the versions if him in all his games by keeping in main parts of all Spyro's different designs. The other was a random sketch I was doing one day of an Archodian drake, looking for ideas, when it turned out really interesting, so I've been working on making it into a larger piece than Araitor's. So far I've had to retrace onto three other pieces of paper besides the original, and I'm wanting it to be the greatest digital art I've yet done, at least until I finish the other of Koryzio and Serethial.
