Not much activity for a while here I know but I've been working.

Just posted a couple of images that are details from series of oil painings I've been working on, it's either going to be called INNER DEMONS or PERSONAL DEMONS.

These are relatively quick and easy to do as well as satifying. They happen much faster than the masked portrait series I'm working on.

This is an oil painting I've been working on. #4 in my attempt to seriously get a handle on the medium.

I need to get a shot of the finished version of Masked, of which an in-progress version of is lurking at the back of my gallery.

I see room for improvement, the shirt was supposed to black and gray striped but my skill level just wasn't up to that yet.

I think the mouth could be a little stronger and I'd like a little more depth in the ear. Otherwise, I'm really happy with the background and think I managed to pull off the glass pretty well.

Okay, so I'm a few days late for Día de los Muertos, thought I'd feature something appropriate on the page.

I celebrated Halloween in true goon fashion, Went to a political themed party on the 25th made up as the Devil and wearing a George W. Bush name tag.

Spent Devil night with the Aucks playing in their graveyard and having a "Did you just see that?" moment with Darren when one of his decorative ghosts moved in an un-decorative manner.

Threw on some make-up Friday morning and spent the day dressed as the Frankenstein monster. After leaving school I stopped off at the local for a drink, took the train into Manhattan, walked across town then got on another train all the while dressed as the monster.

That night I took Maeve trick -or-treating, she wore a Bride of the Monster costume but told me it was a "monster's daughter" costume.

The next night was a Día de los Muertos party at my next door neighbors which featured great food and a massive selection of Mexican beer.

So, nearly a weeks worth of Holiday fun, not bad for an old guy.

I guess it's time to get back to work.
