Hollows (Perma-Ban): You get three strikes as a Ryoka, and if you use them all up, you're Hollowfied and Banned for Life. I don't expect anyone to have to be put here, but I will not hesitate to do so.

Defense Devil is a new manga series (just posted on OM today, infact) that looks really cool, if a bit pervy (but what manga isn't, right?). It's about a demon who serves as a defense lawyer for recently departed souls, in order to proven that they have not committed a sin and therefore do not deserve to go to hell. It only has four chapters right now, but I suggest you at least take a look at them.

I was introduced to it during the Sasuke Retrieval Arc of the subbed anime by a friend of mine. He was watching the latest episode (at the time), which was Lee vs. Kimimaro, right when Lee gets drunk. I thought it was cool, but I didn't really get it because I didn't know the characters. I though Gai was Lee's dad, and Tsunade was just a doctor. I then watched the Sasuke vs. Naruto fight at the Valley of the End. I didn't really get it that much, but I was also paying close attention to the fight, which is still one of the best draw fights in the anime.

Then, in freshman year, I overheard a couple of people talking about how the fillers just ended. I started talking with them about it, and then lost interest since I had no way of catching up. It wasn't until sophomore year that I decided to check out the manga online (the same classmates from before told me how to get there). That was when Itachi told Sasuke to meet him at the Uchiha hideout. I spent the next week and a half getting caught up by reading the entire series (I had quite a few sleepless nights), so now I perfectly understood what was happening.

I also found Itachi to be awesome and Hinata to be Naruto's "One and Only" (thanks to the fillers, too). I also realized what the fight at the Valley of the End was, and after more reading I really started to dislike/hate Sasuke. I pitied him, to be sure, but I still thought he was an asshole. Naruto suffered worse treatment, and he turned out fine. Gaara was horribly traumatized in a very similar manner, but now he's just fine. Sasuke continued to be an ever consistant ass, though he had several redeeming moments, such as the fight with Haku, admitting that Naruto's become stronger, and being the "Friend that Seems to be Your Worst Enemy but You Really Know is the Best Friend You'll Ever Have" stereotype (that I made up a name for right now).

I still thought Itachi was cooler and a better character, though, because I had already suspected that the Uchiha clan was corupt and that Itachi had killed them because they were evil. It's thanks to a fanfiction that I got the idea, though that same fanfiction said that Shizune was Naruto's mother, and that Sasuke get's killed by the combined efforts of Naruto and Team Eight (it was written before the Hidan & Kakuzu Arc in the manga). Itachi shows up in front of them and tells them about the Uchiha clan being bad, they take him back to Konoha, he is place on probation, Sakura gets depressed because Sasuke's dead and stays a horrible mess the rest of her life, Naruto becomes Hokage (years later), and Itachi is reinstated as a ninja (years later).

But, still, I bear no grudge toward any Sasuke fans, and I try not to actively spout Anti-Sasuke messages. I do hate anything that is Anti-Hinata, though, mostly because I don't understand why people hate her. What has she done to deserve the disdain of so many people? Sakura I can understand, though I don't like hatred toward her, either. She beat up Naruto nearly everyday of his life until he goes missing for two and a half years, then she's really glad he's back and quickly gets back to punching him harder, though not as much. Sasuke I obviously understand, Itachi I understand. Ino is obvious, and even Kakashi (to an extent) I get, but I don't understand Hinata. Granted there isn't much hatred for her, but it's there.

I will admit that I enjoy stories that do not have Sasuke as a villain, and instead have him be redeemed (how many times can I use that word?) and a good guy again/never leave. I even enjoy stories where Itachi is the bad guy, but it has to be done well. It can't just be "Blah blah blah demon fox blah blah blah Power blah blah blah Hatred blah blah blah SHARINGAN HAX!!!11!1" Anyway, my point is that I'm not that strict when it comes to my favorites and hates, unless it's Hinata, since I can't see how she could be evil.

Now, the manga lately has, to be quite frank, sucked. Not just because of the Sasuke vs. Itachi fight, or the Deidara vs. Sasuke fight, though I really didn't like those. It's because Kishimoto has been playing the "Jesus no Jutsu" and "BS Jutsu" card over and over and over and over recently. Jesus no Jutsu is the conversion of a villain or hero to the hero or villain's cause be cause it makes sense to them. I was bored this past Monday and decided I'd clean out my mom's car for some spending money. When I get to the mall the first store I head into is Gamestop, and would you believe what I found there?

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles in pristine condition (minus the original box and instruction booklet) for $7.99. So, needless to say, I am the happiest I've been in a while; my love is talking to me after a long absence, Lent is over, June is right around the corner, and now, I have one of my most beloved video games back. I am really happy.

Now, the bad news is that I've deleted all of my old save data LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG ago, so I had to start from scratch. Which, really isn't bad, just time consuming in some cases. Luckily, after two days of intensive gaming, I'm back to where I was before the game was destroyed. So hurray!!

Now, I'm almost positive that not a single person who reads this will have ever played this game, and a good majority will probably never have heard of it. So, brief run down of why I like this game:

1) Simple, lighthearted, but dark and compelling story.
2) Lovable cast of NPCs whose separate fates leave me at times depressed and delighted.
3) Customizing of race, gender, and family's occupation. ALWAYS PICK ALCHEMIST!!
4) Ability to create up to 8 characters to fill every occupation in your home town.
5) Beautiful graphics.
6) Amazing multiplayer mode that will put teamwork to the test. COOPERATION IS VITAL!!!
7) Rather challenging, but amazingly fun single player mode.
(you're in a dungeon meant for four players; you're three people short)

If anyone wants to know anything that might actually be relevant, please ask. I love this game, and I love to talk about this game (if you couldn't already tell), and if you just want to hear the story and plot I could tell you that, too.

But, I need to make room in my gaming schedule this week; my buddy is lending me his PS2 and Radiata Stories, which took him 138 hours and 46 min to complete, not including all the times he reset the game. I've never played it, but he's been praising it since freshman year. It will also give me a chance to play Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3, so that ought to be fun.

I love Easter Break. It's my Game Week.

I also finally figured out why my computer sucks and won't let me play WoW, which I got as a Christmas present back in '07. I don't have nearly enough RAM. So, now I need to go buy 1G of RAM (it's just a Mac, after all) to ensure I can finally play the game that "over 11 MILLION!!!11 people have subscribed to," including my Decathlon Coach as well as my Bio teacher.



Also, I've been having and urge to play Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles as of late. I don't know why, but I really miss the game, with it's simple gameplay, interesting levels, and rather depressing story; tell me what happened to the city of Tida (and De Nam, and the Black Knight, and Gurdy/Hurdy) wasn't sad, I dare you. The only thing stopping me from playing it is the fact that four years ago my mom destroyed it (seriously, she took it out of my Gamecube and bent it and snapped it in half) when I got mad at my brother and accidentally hurt him. I was stupid and 13, but now I'm kicking myself for being such an idiot.

I miss my Crystal Chronicles!!!

Character origins remained the same, thankfully, and for the most part they picked the best actors for the roles, except for Ozymandias. His face is too different for the character. In fact, they changed Ozymandias the most in terms of appearance. They gave him a rubber muscle suit like from the 1990's Batman movies (I understand it was to parody that, but still). The man is supposed to be the smartest, fastest, and strongest man alive, and jokingly says that he can catch a bullet. I guess they needed to give him a stupid looking costume to counter-balance that.

Overall, I enjoyed it. I do not suggest seeing it if you haven't read the comic, and I don't suggest either if you have a problem/are unable to ignore gratuitous ammounts of violence and sexual content. The comic is gruesome, and putting it on the big screen only made it more so.

REMEMBER, IT'S RATED "R" FOR A REASON!! DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN TO THIS MOVIE!!! NUDITY!! VIOLENCE!! SEXUAL CONTENT!! DEEP CUTTING POLITCS!! DARK PLOT!! ETC!!!

However, that isn't the focus of this journal. The focus, is that California is short on blood. We are so short on blood, that any blood donated is used within three days. That's incredibly quick, and very disappointing, considering how many people we have here. According to the Red Cross people that came to take blood from any volunteers at my school, only 2% of schools in California donate. 2%!! Of course I don't think that's accurate, but I do believe that the state needs more people to donate.

I did what I could to help out and donated. Most people I knew were a bit woozy after their blood was drawn, but I felt fine. Maybe it was because I ate a three course breakfast that morning and three bottles of orange juice. Regardless, I felt great the whole day today, though that can be attributed to missing two periods. Also, having your blood drawn doesn't hurt. If anything, it just itches for a while afterwards and the Ace bandage they wrap you with makes it worse.

I told her that:
1. A lot of anime isn't really meant for kids.
2. A LOT of people dress up for conventions.
3. Most people who cosplay are adults.

She responded by saying that it's pathetic. She said that if I'm still doing this when I'm 20 I'll never get a girlfriend. Apparently, if you are over the age of 12 and you cosplay, you're a social outcast. If you are older than 18, you will live an unfulfilling life as some loser in your mother's basement. This is coming from a girl who is a high school freshmen, hates romance, and doesn't want to go to college.

She doesn't seem to believe that there are geek girls, too. And that they do this sort of stuff just as much as the guys. I really, really don't understand how she can be so different from me, yet we've lived together her entire life! Little sisters are an annoyance. At least my brother doesn't seem to care about my tastes, and he even knows a few of the names of characters from Naruto (though he horribly mispronounces them on purpose).

But this made me think; how many people who go to conventions cosplay? And of those people, how many have had successful love lifes?

Unfortunately, I've also learned how incredibly stupid some people at my school are. For his presentation on silicon a classmate of mine shows a video where he's molesting his girlfriend (though she did agree to it, so...) The acting was absolutely amazing, with Eden Espinosa playing Elphaba far better than I imagined possible. Megan Hilty made a fantastic Glinda, and the extravagantly exagerated popular stereotype fit the character excedingly well. The Wizard was fantastic, the perfect charlatan. I was amazed to discover that Madame Morrible was played by Carol Kane, AKA Valerie, Miracle Max's Wife, from the Princess Bride.

And the music; never have I heard such great voices on stage before. The whole experience was incredibly wonderful, and I'm sad that it's over. Still, I have the soundtrack, so that's something.

I saw Mr. Ultimate Sasuke Fanboy, AKA Ueno today, and we both agreed on one thing; Naruto Shippuden is full of Super Sayain Gary Stu Ninja Gods of Death, and that it officially sucks more than anything we've ever read (not including books targeted at annoying preteen fangirls). I continued to read it to see if there was any part of it that was savable, but unfortunately it turns out that at this point it is beyond saving.

Kishimoto is going to kill off one of his strongest villains, then (hopefully) his favorite (my most hated) character, then someone who shouldn't even exist, yet is a villain. He might have killed off one of his best characters already; we can't be sure. Regardless, I now officially accept everything from Sasuke's fight with Deidara forward as crap. It has no value to me.

I've only two weeks until Semester Finals, and then I've got my brother's birthday. After that it's another two weeks until my birthday, and then I've got about six weeks until I visit Naval Academy! I'm headed for the East Coast to check out Annapolis and D.C., then I'm going to be checking out local schools here in California. Maybe I'll see you, Alicia-nee-chan.

In the meantime, however, I have to get on top of my grades. No point in checking out good schools if they won't accept me. And I need to get my license ASAP, so that I can get my car back from my aunt, so that I can get a job, so that I can save up money for Comic-Con. I also need to get in shape for the fitness test for Naval Academy. AND I need to get back to writing my fanfiction. I don't think I'll be playing video games for a LONG time.

Still, life is pretty good for me right now, and I have over a year to get fit, so I should take things nice and easy. Slow and steady wins the race!

Before we had left, my brother, sister, and I got to spend some of the money we got for Christmas. Well, my brother spent his on Pokemon Pearl and an imported copy of Pokemon Platinum for his new DS, my sister got separated from us in the mall while shopping at a department store (we eventually recovered her from the jewelry section; in a different store), and I bought Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2: The Phantom Fortress for the PSP and The World Ends With You for the DS. Both games are amazing, but what I really want to talk about is TWEWY.

The game takes place in the real world location of Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, where you play the role of Neku Sakuraba, a Japanese teenager who starts off not only antisocial, but misanthropic, not caring about ayone but himself. He finds himself stuck in the Reaper's Game, a week long series of missions where if he and his partner loses, they will be erased from existance. What do they get if they win? That would be spoiling. If you have a DS, and love complex plots that rack your brain, as well as addictive, if hard to learn, gameplay, buy this game as soon as possible.

Square Enix (creators of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts) made the game, so you know it's good, and they make fun of themselves and their mistakes. Such as "Dilly-dally, shilly-shally" from the dub of Advent Children. What the hell is that supposed to mean?!

Saturady? I celebrated Christmas with my dad's side of the family, since we wouldn't all be together on Christmas Day. Today, however, has been shopping for stocking stuffers for my brother and sister. And tomorrow I'll be mowing the lawn, cleaning out my turtle's cage (not a fun task), and trying to hook up my printer.

On the brightside, I got some nice presents from my grandparents and dad; A new pair of Vans, a game for the Wii entitled No More Heroes, and an awesome digital camera that I will get to in a minute.

The game No More Heroes is Rated M for many good reasons: VERY strong language, buckets o' blood, rather blatant sexual themes, and extremely crude humor. Other than the blood, all of that is stuff which I more often than not don't like. Why do I enjoy the game? The copious ammounts of killing I have to do in it helps me relieve a lot of stress. And since this game ends up causing me stress at times, it helps keep me mentally balanced. Also, every character in the game is evil in some way. So there really are No More Heroes.

My new camera is a really shiny piece of hardware. It has Auto Red-Eye Reduction, Face Detection, Picture Stabilization (so there isn't any motion blur), and up to 5X zoom. The best part? It comes in black!

So, if you need me over the next two days, I'll be either typing away at my computer, or attempting to slice 100 bad guys in half with a lightsaber. Oh, did I not mention that? Yeah, you use a LIGHTSABER to kill people in No More Heroes.

How awesome is that?! (They call it a beam katana, but c'mon! The thing is nothing but a hilt that emits a glowing shaft of light.)

In other news I ended up being placed on the Scholastic team for Academic Decathalon. The three teams, Varsity, Scholastic, and Honors, are separated by GPA, with Varsity having less than a 3.0, Scholastic having a 3.0~3.59, and Honors having a 3.6 or above. I'm basically on the JV team, and I'm happy with that, considering only two of eight people are on it; myself and the Captain.

I've been asking for a scanner for my birthday, since Christmas is too soon, so maybe I'll be able to post so art by the end of the school year.

Thankfully, Bakamoto has been kind to his loyal fans, though we have seen who the closest person to death is, even if it isn't guaranteed that they'll die. And I must say, Konohamaru has definitely won my respect. What he did took a huge pair of...well, you know. Still can't wait to see my dream enacted.

Seeing the incoming freshmen made me think about what I'm going to do for college. I plan on applying to University of Hawaii and a few Cal State schools, but I really want to go to the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. It's a great school and I'd have the chance to serve my country, though I'd probably have a hard time getting in. Plus, it gets freezing cold on the east coast. At least with Hawaii I have family living there already, and it never gets colder than low 70s/high 60s.

I've got a winter dance coming up this weekend, though I probably won't be going, due to my lack of interest in such things. They always play crappy music and most of the other students there are acting like dogs in heat.

So, who do you think is next on Bakamoto's "Main Characters I'm Killing Off" List? We'll probably see the answer in a few chapters.

My friend was Snake, I was Marth, and our opponents were Toon Link and Pikachu. Now, normally I'm very good at this game, but I have a problem when facing Pikachu; I suck. He spammed his only two powerful moves, preventing me from doing anything other than dying. Of course I lasted longer than my friend, and nearly beat them, but I'm apparently not having a good day. I was beaten in the first round, along with most everyone else I know.

But, regardless, I can still watch the next few rounds for kicks, and now I don't have to worry about losing.

On the upside, since one turkey couldn't feed a family of 65, half of whom are grown men, we had two turkeys, a large ham, a slab of roast beef, and an entire pig, completely roasted. Half of it was gone before seconds were served .

Luckily, I'm only 132 Pokemon away from having captured them all, EVER! This is an accomplishment I didn't think was humanly possible, but judging from what I'd have to do to get the final 6 or so, it may very well be unobtainable.

But, I'd better get back to studying for Academic Decathalon. I signed up to get my mom off my back for not playing a sport, but the ammount of work is frightening. Still, nothing in life worth having is free. But wait, does that mean that the stuff they give away at Comic-Con isn't worth having?
