Wolf Chronicles Chapter 6 is still not done. I've found that I've been continually adding bits and pieces to it and that if I go with the original plan, it may take about 14 pages or so at the very least.I won't be splitting it up into two parts but at least you know why this is taking so long now. The main problem I'm having is making sure everything links up to the previous chapters so theres no real errors. Anyway I'm aiming to get it uploaded in the next month or so, and to get a sizable portion out of the way before MGS4 comes out, or its going to be another 3 months before anything happens.

As for my other stories "Hunter" and the "Bloodline" rewrite, I haven't touched them since the last update, mainly because the Wolf Chronicles chapter has been delayed so much I want that one up before i concentrate on them. Plus, both of these stories I'm hoping won't be as long as what Wolf Chronicles may become.

Now, to update you on the VGA site. Personally, I think its all but dead now. I HAD hoped to be able to get my drawing up to a reasonable standard in order to do my own, however I'm beginning to think that doing so even in the next 5 years, casually learning it, i may not achieve what I set out to do. I may still find other uses for the site but for right now, I guess the comics and stuff that I originally had plans for aren't going to happen anytime soon. As a result of this, I'm considering making a sort of blog on something like blogspot where i can keep the game reviews and also some insight into what goes on with the stories I'm currently writing. At least then I may be spurred on to actually updating fairly frequently.

Thats pretty much everything I have right now. Hopefully I'll be able to upload something soon.

I'm a fair bit into hunter's first chapter, but its still going to take a while seeing as i want the first chapter to kinda say what the rest of the chapters will be like. Still I'm hoping it won't take much longer.

As for Wolf Chronicles chapter 6, its getting there, I'm always adding little bits and bobs to it, which kinda explains why its being put off for so long, seeing as i've got to make sure it corresponds to all the previous chapters.

As for bloodline, I've not had much chance to do the rewrite.

Ok, a few people in the past few days know that I have been driving them mad, because I've been waiting for a new pc. It arrived yesterday and I've only got it hooked up to the net this afternoon. Its mainly meant as a games machine but of course, it'll be used for my stories and stuff, mainly cause the keyboard is a lot bloody better.

Thanks the 2.1 speakers I got with it im playing a lot of songs I haven't listened to in a while and I'm enjoying listening to them again. But enough of that you want to know what I'm going to say about the work done so far.

Well Wolf Chronicles chapter 5 is in a similar state as before, but hopefully this new keyboard and the fact I'm itching to get on with finishing the chapter before my birthday, will spur me on to finishing it. As for the special thing I'm going to do, I've decided to try to get Hunter chapter 1 finished and the Bloodline intro done as well. I would do the Wolf Chronicles rewrites but to be quite honest, I don't want to rush the rewrites.

Other than that, all thats left to say is that theres been a rant journal uploaded to VGA's forums and that another will follow shortly (expect one about my old computer soon).

Finally, does anyone know where to get the Tales Of The Abyss US opening music? The one without the lyrics?
I've heard that theres instrumentals on the OST but I only want that one song and its doing my head in trying to find it.

Just a little journal update to say that i've gotten my creative spark back in my writing and im tearing ahead with Wolf Chronicles Chapter 5 and i have 6 pages of its first draft done. Its shaping up to be a great chapter worthy of contiuing on from chapter 4. Also, after having read through a number of my previous chapters, and seeing as even though my 21st is coming up in a few weeks time, i figured i'd do something for it. So i have a few thngs that I could do in order for something special to say thanks for supporting Wolf Chronicles past its first year.

I currently have a couple of things in mind:

Hunter Chapter 1
The new Bloodline intro
Rewrites of Wolf Chronicles Chapters 1-4 to include anything i may have missed.

Bear in mind will only be able to do two of these things in time, so which would you like me to do? The beginning of the Hunter story? an intro for Bloodline to see how it will begin (and i promise none of the first person crap) or the Wolf Chronicles Rewrites?

Or do you have a suggestion of your own? So long as its not something outlandish, or involves sprite art or me drawing, then feel free to suggest it.

On that note then, thats the end of this current journal. Hopefully my next update will mean more progress or even the release of chapter 5. Here's Hoping eh?

its been a while since i really posted anything but its been quite stressful this past month, but that will now stop.

My main focus will be on vga, wolf chronicles and the new story currently dubbed as Hunter.

As a result of all this stress, i've been pouring my time and effort into playing FFonline along with my friend which has resulted in both of us hitting level 30. Anyone who plays it will tell you that hitting level 30 gets you to unlocking advanced jobs and is a serious step in the game that can take some time to get to.

Playing this has also brought me this thought, along with perhaps writing reviews and things for VGA, i'm thinking of posting some of the adventures me and my friends get up to on the site. Leave a comment on what you think of this.

vga has not been updated recently because half of the update was wiped. Next week i shall be uploading that half of the update and working on getting the other half done sometime in the near future.

Wolf chronicles progress is slow but steady, i reckon about 20% of chapter 5's first draft is now done. Because wolf chronicles was a year old in feburary i want this to be a special chapter along with the next one.

Hunter's first draft has substantially less progress than that of wolf chronicles, with it being its first chapter i want it to appear with a bang rather than a small droning sound. I reckon its about 5% complete and i expect it to be 12 pages long in the completion of its first draft.

Yes ladies and gents, today i bought Dead Or Alive 4 for my Xbox 360. Unfortunately, i'll be putting a first impressions here and quite possible not reviewing it for a while.

I've always disliked 3D fighting games, I've never liked Tekken, I've not particularly liked Soul Calibur, but the DOA series has always been that bit different thanks to the way its counter system worked. Unfortunately having spent a good 2 or 3 hours playing DOA4, i can honestly say that im not best pleased.

The counter system was very simplistic in the original three games, but thats what made it so intuitive, you had a command to counter low, mid and high attacks, with jumping attacks sharing the mid counter command. All which with triggered by back + down + free, back + free and back + up + free. In DOA 4, someones decided to make it so that punchs are all countered using back, but kicks need to be countered using forward. This now means that in the split second it takes them to move, you need to judge whether its a punch or kick, and where that attack is going. Needless to say for someone who's played the previous games, not only is this hard to get used to, its also bloody stupid.

Onto the Difficulty and AI, in DOA2 and DOA3, the AI was at a level where it wasn't infuriating to complete any of the given modes, but they didn't let you walk over them either. I thought it struck a nice balance and hoped that DOA4 did the same. Wrong. DOA 4's cast seem to act supernaturally intelligent one moment, then incredibly thick the next. Some matches can end up in you being annihalated without touching your opponent, yet the next fight you have with the same opponent, you can sometimes do the exact same to them.

Basically, my first impressions of DOA4 is that its now "Tekken with a countering system" and it leads me to believe that team ninja have official lost the plot with DOA. (i should've expect that after the botch job that the movie was)

I really love the DOA series, it might just be that im having real trouble getting used to DOA4, but whatever the reason, either team ninja need to buck their idea's up and actually rectify this, or just don't bother making any more DOA's, because if this is how they see the games going in future, I think i'd rather stick to Street Fighter Alpha 3 thanks.

Onto other news:

VGA is not updated, yes I know already, its been ages, but i've had things to sort out. Im not going to say a deadline, but needless to say i will post here when its done.

I'm wondering whether i should get a Wii later on in its life, as im going to wait for the ps3 to come down in price before i even attempt to make a decision on buying it or not.

Thats about it right now, Wolf Chronicles and my writing is still stuck in a rut right now so theres no updates on them either. Thanks for reading this fairly long journal.

If anyone sees my page from this journal post onwards, you'll probably notice that the two wallpapers i had up have been stored. The reason is that I've looked at my stats lately and the most viewed devi on my account is the conker wallpaper screenshot i had on my pc ages ago.

I do other things that post damn wallpaper screenshots. So you won't be seeing them anytime soon.

VGA Mayhem should get an update late tommorow night. Its mainly a mass review update due to various things.

Wolf Chronicles Chapter 5 is still way off thanks to writers block for that.

The new rendition of bloodline is in the same state. However another story I'm doing (currently has no name so im using "hunter" temporarily) is doing reasonably well.

Within the next month I hope to get Chapter 5 done at the very least amongst other things.

As far as art is concerned, for those of you that don't check the VGA boards, I'll be posting an "art improvement" update there as I don't deem them fit for DA quite yet.

I've been having some sleeping trouble lately plus i've had to focus on things in my life. As a result, VGA has slipped a fair bit and i have damned writers block again.

I will be updating VGA in the next week, regardless of how much I've done for the site. This is pretty much just to let you know that i haven't mystically dropped off the face of the earth, nor am I ditching and of my work.

On another note, VGA site regulars my notice that I have another story called "Bloodline" on the site. This is getting scrapped and will be replaced with a story with same title.

Thats it for now, hopefully I'll get cracking and finally get a lot finished.

Well Its been a long time since i update this so i might as well update it when the VGA Site will be updated. I'm getting to work on the updates tommorow, So expect them then. Unfortunately, Yet Again Wolf Chronicles Chapter 4 is going to be late. The reason is that the chapter is not only long, but i've been having writers block lately and I've also changed my mind about a couple of things, so a couple of sections have had to be rewritten. I'm working feverishly to get it done though, and hopefully it'll be done in time for the next update. Expect a fair amount of reading in the next one, I'm about 60% through, and its already 7 pages long!

On a side note I am looking to stick up an F.A.Q on the site in the near future. Both an authors/writers one, plus one for the rest of the section. I'm also thinking of another one or two things to add to the site, as well as a site style rework.

As far as my everyday life goes, its good. I'm getting an XBOX 360 very soon and i've gotten Perfect Dark Zero. I might decide to get xbox live in the future but for right now and the way my funds are at the moment with christmas and all, I can't afford it (thats right, xmas shopping)

Well, basically, after trying and failing to find myself getting used to a particular art style and actually being able to draw, I'm now working on the site again. It'll be up as soon as all the content is ready to be uploaded. Obviously to start off with there won't be any comics, as I'll be trying like hell to get an art style that I can draw with and enjoy using.

However, this doesn't mean there won't be updates, in fact, Wolf Chronicles will be updated on the Site a full fortnight before it appears on here. Also other written projects will also appear there, along side a couple of screenshots of the Wolf Chronicles game I'm currently trying to make from time to time.

Games and Anime Reviews will be uploaded, the rant journal will be there, but it'll only be in word form at the moment, once my art gets to a fair standard, I'll erase those rant journals, and replace them with comic versions of them, of which any previous rant will feature.

VGA Mayhem will also provide the Bios for the cast of Wolf Chronicles. However it won't reveal everything and I'm thinking of having the basic bios for the first three characters in the character section, however, after each chapter, I'll write a profile for each character including the details of what has happened up to the end of that chapter, i.e. one character may only appear in chapter 3 so obviously their profile won't appear on the links at the end of chapters one and two.

Tell me what you think of that. Also, because of the fact I'm trying to improve my art, I'll be putting a scraps section on the site, so that you can see how my art is progressing, and can drop me a line if you think you can help in any way.

Also as far as my current well being is concerned, I couldn't be better.

Thats about it for now, oh and one small thing, I've decided to give a DA subscription a go for three months, hell its not much, so i figured I might as well.

Anyway the minor op was relatively painless and my toe didn't hurt at all yesterday. Its starting to sting slightly today but its nothing I can't handle provided I don't smack the bugger off anything.

On to other news, I've gone and Preordered the Wii (No Laughing at the back!) and I'm going to get Red Steel with it, this is the first console I've ever preordered, so lets hope it lives up to expectations.

VGA Mayhem is being delayed (yes again, sorry bout this) for the fact that I don't seem to be grasping a style that could fit it well yet. I'm not too sure when I'll finally have it up and running, but when I do, I'll put a post here.

I'm currently working through Wolf Chronicles Chapter 4 and progress is steady. I'm not too sure when it will be finished but I reckon it shouldn't be too much longer.

Ok yet another update from me.

First off, yesterday I spent most of the day round 's house. I met a few friends there as well and had a hell of a time. Now I'm hooked playing Monster Hunter Freedom and am reading the manga's I bought yesterday. Onto other news:

Wolf Chronicles will hopefully be updated today and i hope it will surpass peoples expectations. Chapter 3 will be uploaded and im hoping for Chapter 4 to be uploaded before November. If I manage to do this, i reckon chapter 5 will be ready before Christmas, so fingers crossed that i'll be able to do that.

VGA Mayhem is getting underway, I already have most of the site designed, and I also have the logo done and ready. Hopefully when the site is posted it'll look good and attract a lot of people.

Now as per usual, nothings the same without a rant, so without further ado, here it is:

Basically, I went onto the Cosmic-Gaga Inc MBT todday, and have noticed that someone has written a story called "Outbreak" (seem familiar to anyone reading this? I shall only give you a clue in the form of initials: RE ) Anyway, I commented on it with my opinion on his work. Now, I'm not complaining about the quality of his work, as I myself find it somewhat intriguing. What I am complaining about is that the guy has only had the story up say.... 2 or 3 days, and his thread has had 180 views at the time of typing this, the same as my wolf chronicles thread, yet mine has 8 replies, 3 or 4 being bloody updates made by myself, yet his has 36 odd.

If anyone would care to explain this to me, im more than happy to listen. Im happy that an original story is getting recognition on these boards finally, what I'm mad about is the fact that it seems that I should just write a paragraph or so and claim that as a chapter, because I might actually have some fucker comment on it other than those that actually have given a toss in the past! If you're going to view my friggin work at least comment either on here on my DA, on any board I'm on, or at least friggin email me with what you think! How in hell am I supposed to improve if you people actually don't comment? Sometimes its as though im wasting my time writing it. The reason I don't pack it in, is because I have people that actually wait patiently for the completion of the next chapter, and read it as soon as its out. If you are one of the perhaps 8 people or so people out there that actually give a toss to comment on my work, then thank you, at least you're giving me feedback on where I'm going right and where I'm going wrong.

Anyway, rant over as I'm in a happy mood from yesterday and I want to try to keep it that way.

I passed my course with a distinction, and was supposed to start work experience last week. It was then delayed to this week. Now I don't have a clue when I go to my placement and am on paid leave till i end up there. I don't mind the leave, but its boring as hell when everyone else has work and Uni. Not to mention that I'm not getting the experience that i could be getting and putting to use in getting myself a job.

Secondly, I'm seriously pissed off by the amount of people that decide to leave their common sense at home. You know who I mean. The man who decides to block off the entire bloody aisle at a supermarket for nigh on 20 minutes, or the Woman who decides to push her kid in a pushchair out into traffic while not travelling 2 yards to the nearest traffic lights/crossing.

Thirdly, i've had nigh on no sleep lately so im cranky as hell lately.

All that and the final nail in the coffin is when you write an original story like say, my wolf chronicles or Psyomaster Ryuken that my friend writes, and you get less views and replies to your topics per update than some friggin idiot that decides to do a fan version of Megaman or bloody Pokemon. Is it no longer a case of written stories need originality? or is it just the case that some people just don't bother to be original or to read original stories? A board I'm a member of is lucky to perhaps have 5 mebbe 6 pieces of writing that do not comprise of a fanfiction to anything related to the "blue bomber" or that little yellow rat, and considering the amount of work that people put into their work to be original, I find it absolutely infuriating that people would rather read the millionth pokemon fanfiction.

Anyway enough ranting, time for the good stuff.

I will post chapter 3 very soon. Thats good in itself. Also, some people will know that I have been wanting to do a webcomic called VGA Mayhem since TKR closed down almost a year ago now. I believe with a bit more practice, I will finally be able to do a comic in a months time, and that hopefully I will have the site up and running with new updates happening frequently. The VGA Mayhem site will include:

The VGA Mayhem comic
My own personal "Rant Journal" comic (of which my previous rant will most definately feature in some comical form)
Wolf Chronicles Bios, information and other written work that will be exclusive to the site.
Review of various games.

These are just a few things of what will appear on the site, I hope this has held your interest, and will have you waiting with baited breath as to what will occur when the site is up.

If you are going to try making a game like "Generic Megaman Fan game #7663463" then for frigs sake, take that creative spark and make something NEW! I'm not a sprite artist or a normal artist and as such rely on writing to be creative, but I at least try to make something original! Why spend such creative talents making a fan game of a proper series? Spend those creative talents on something that would make people really appreciate your talents. I'm personally a Megaman fan and quite a fan of various game series, however I prefer to leave making games to the actual makers. Granted, mods of different games such as creating a unique fighting system or adding to the existing one is a good thing and something that should be encouraged, However from a fair amount of games they are generic platformers like the original games with hardly any new characters or real thought to the plot.

Please, If you are going to make platformers or RPG's on your favourite game, try to inject some creative spark into either the story or the execution. If you are one of these people that have attempted to do this, then you should be proud of yourselves. If you can't inject this creativity into your fan game. Stop, and for gods sake, try to come up with something original.

Like I said, This is not aimed at anyone, but I feel i had to get this off my chest. I may be a megaman fan but if i see yet another generic megaman game, I may very well have to beat them with their own pc.

Anyway rant over.

With everything going as hoped, Chapter 3 will be out this weekend. I'm also going to start doing the game a bit more and have decided to make the game go into areas the story doesn't. I'm going to "attempt" to try to make my own sprites, however I'm not sure how well it will go. In advance, should anyone want to help me with the game, I may ask for assistance with the game in the future.

Personal: Im still in a fairly good mood all the time and i very rarely get bored with anything anymore. Also incidentally, last Saturday was my 20th birthday so that was alright.

DA: Well, I had intended to bring out the 3rd chapter of Wolf Chronicles out on my birthday, however a lot of things got in the way, mainly mental block. It's almost complete, Im hoping to have it up in the next few days or so (Don't quote me on this though, as its more likely i'll end up having something in the way again.)

Thats essentially it as far as my life is going so far, nothing spectacular has happened so theres not much more i can put as an update.

Personal: Im still doing well although I seem to be bored with a lot of stuff at the moment but soon i hope that blows over.

DA related: Wolf chronicles 3 is being worked on, slowly however as i seem to be stuck in a mental block as far as thats concerened. As far as practicing my drawing goes, im now practicing a more cartoony style of drawing and I've started doing expressions and im improving at a very good rate.

In saying that, i must say a special thank you to because she has really supported me the past couple of days providing me with reference material, help and the encouragement I definately needed to start practicing again.

I haven't updated this in a long time.

Well basically im doing very well. My studies are coming along nicely, and the rest of my life has been pulling itself round. I feel a lot happier now, thanks to the fact that im playing a game with some friends (my god! they might think im social! XD) and hopefully once i get my new pc parts it won't lag so much, so i can then enjoy it properly.

On the work side of things: i've switched tutors. I had my doubts at first but i actually like the class. I think it has that balance where you work well yet you still can have a good time doing it. However i've heard that the tutor on a bad day is not to be crossed, so in future im not going to forget my ID. Other than that i've read through chapter 6 in a day. Im getting ready to do the exam soon, so i hope it goes well, only thing thats letting me down is the cluster sizes based on the partition size of each different file system. Its only one area but if i get a lot of questions on that part of the exam im screwed.

On personal things: Im having a great time. Im going to see Kat in a week on saturdat and a friend of hers is tagging along. I know her from playing that game but even so i sometimes have a tendancy to stay quiet in front of other people (its never been the case with kat and i don't exactly know why). Still Im going and hopefully I won't freeze up as it will be the last time i see her in a while (she comes back in september, by which case I may be looking for work or on placement by then.) so i want to have a good time and I hope that her and her friend enjoy themselves.

On other things: I posted Wolf Chronicles chapter Two not so long ago, i've had what i would say is a moderate amount of views considering im not one to browse DA much and im fairly new to it. One gripe I do have is that I wish that if people view it, to at least leave one comment. I can't improve my writing without others saying whether my story is good or not. Anyway im going to start chapter 3 soon and it has a lot more action in it than the previous chapter. Saying anything more gives the chapter's story away so you'll have to wait and see.

Anyway, thanks to anyone whos helped me over the past month and hello to all the nutters that play online with me XD

Oh yeah one more thing, im bloody shattered XD

Yeah so thats basically everything up to this point, hope to get Chapter 3 started soon. However, if you read my stories please leave a comment either on the piece of work or on my page here. I like to hear from people who read it, whether their critisim (why do i have the feeling thats not spelt right?) is good or bad. I can't improve myself and my story if no bugger leaves comments. In future from chapter 3 onwards this will appear in the summary part of each submission of each chapter in order to try to get people to leave comments.

Anyway thats basically it, hope everyone else is having a good time.
