Well this I think will be the last of my journal entries with CSS:P so I'll make the most of it!
You can probably tell that the journal code is not mine... got it from *trashydragon. the art in the journal is *bindii's.

Now that I've found some time, and opportunity to take a break and write something up then I shall! BWAHAHA.

Now what to talk about...
Just as a warning to some, I might not be as active from now until the next year. Mostly because I'll be either studying for the approaching exams or I'll be back home where there is a very aggravating and slow dial-up connection which also has a time limit... Not to mention I won't have my own computer with me... so yeah I might take longer to reply to things and may not upload during this period of time. But never fear I will reply to messages as soon as possible (hopefully within 3 days or so) and I will upload all that I draw over the holidays eventually.

I just wanted to write the above for your information :)

This subcription has been fun in that I liked experimenting with the CSS and all. it really was fun to make things look pretty and all. The messaging system was practical aswell... I overall liked the whole thing. Though one thing for sure, I'm also glad to see it go at this point in time. it's been slightly on the distracting side... and I soon found myself using way more time than the healthy amount online here on DA fiddling with the subscription. So with this distraction out of the way I can go back to the simple days without it and hopefully get some work done!

What's up with me?
Well I'm still in University... and still doing sciences... and still thinking that I get too much work for school... but other than that I'm as happy as can be!

Hehehe and it's me yet again! Again feeling that perhaps I should err talk a little about what I'm up to and such.

To be honest it's the oddest thing being back for the summer without any sort of commitment (job or camp-wise) and living each day as it comes. I thought seriously that I'd be bored out of my skull and was saddly mistaken. I'm actually kept rather busy!

But I'm sure that no one really wants to know about my summer life's routine... and if you did well ur I'd think it a bit creepy... (I'm fritenned by stalkers) haha

Anyways why would I suddenly want to write now? well... I just went to a Nickelback Concert! On Thursday to be exact. It was a whole lot of fun once I made some improvised earplugs. the music was very loud. hehe but that was expected.

Now those who know me woudl perhaps know that I don't really go out (as in outside to stay outside) much>.< and you have probably guessed that this is my first concert! well it was fun and I should really thank my friends for dragging me out :P seriously the most enjoyable moments of my life are spent when people take me places. hehehe

Anyways back to the concert. At first I was worried it would rain but in the end it didn't and so that was good.

There were three opening bands. "State Of Shock" (Awesome name but well the music was alas forgetable in my opinion), "Puddle of Mud" (I'm afraid they didn't strike me as all to smart... so I was left unimpressed... sorry for those who like them... but you probably know that I'm not that into that kind of music) and Chris Daughtry (forgive my terrible spelling>.< but he was the best of the opening acts I think and though I preferred it when he sang on American Idol... the few times I saw the show... He did well>.<;).

I thought it got progressively louder as the performance went on but that was cool... because well the ears adjust to the volume... so to preserve the effect they had to make it louder...

We watched opening act after act for like 3 hours... and then finally Nickelback arrived and the show really began! with lighting effects, fireworks, fames and smoke! what an entrance! it was cool. they played most of their hit songs and I found myself singing along (and surprising myself with the amount of lyrics I remembered... though it was helpfull to have the music:P can't say I remember the lyrics now>.<;) What a weird memory I have.
I was also impressed by the drum solo they had! The drummer was soo quick with feet and arms and it was actually cool to see...
Urg I have no time to go on now>.< but I will update this later and blab more about it! :D

I really can't do anything about my mac though. It's old (very old) and has been through a lot and I had expected it to crash long ago... like the time I dropped it... or when my brother broke the screen... or when I download stuff...

Instead it picks now of all moments... now when I need it to access slides for lectures and online homework and all that fun stuff. I have three exams next week and an oral test to prepare for and can't do much about it. I feel I'm really fortunate that my friend is letting me not only use her computer right now but also print some of my lecture slides (but there are so many and I truly feel that I'm imposing on her terribly... 40 pages... urg...)

So you might not see me as often or hear of me so often... unless I can find some computer somewhere... Again so sorry.

For those of you who are waiting for your requests, I have sketched them out... and scanned them in and had started all sorts of thing... unfortunately all is lost except for the sketches... so I might go traditional media and hopefully that will work out and I'll post it next thing. So sorry.

So let's start with... CON!!!!! I loved the convention!! I've been meaning to write about it!!
Um, As you probably already know I just went to a con... My FIRST con. And Have been in a very good mood since. You'll soon enough discover why... hehehe
This is a LONG story. And completely what my memory has to say about it. this means that it's not quite accurate... Seeing as my memory distorts everything to my liking. Just so you know...

First of all I should really thank for telling me about the con and for taking me there and back... Mainly because I would probably get lost on the way there if I went alone. I really have a terrible sens of direction, and it's even worse one when subways and busses are concerned. It's really not that complicated but I'm just and odd creature that way. Though I think anyone could get lost in the Metro convention center in Toronto... it's huge and really has such an odd network of rooms and passageways if you ask me...

Well let's get on with the story!

To tell you the truth, my first impression was that this anime convention was a gathering for the insane. For those who know me, this could be thought as excellent, seeing as I consider myself part of this ever so entertaining group. Though I wasn't entirely comfortable with this, um, shall we call it, first welcome.

When finally heading towards the right direction, I saw two girls dressed in matching bright, almost fluorescent, pink, fluffy dresses. I'm partially convinced it glowed!! Though this wasn't the disconcerting part... it was what came afterwards...

Now try and picture two boys, arms locked, wearing and random mix of anime merchandize (head band from naruto, hat from that one character of bleach, wigs and all), prancing and skiping down the hallway with their odd outfits flowing behind them, chanting: "YAOI.. YAOI... YAOI..." This was slightly unexpected and well disturbed me a little...

I thought... "Oh dear... Is it safe to go on...?" I must have thoughy it safe because after making a small remark I moved on:P

When the actual set of rooms for the con was reached, I got posessed by the naming demon!! *insert dramatic music here* Yes I got so excited by the many cosplays that I couldn't help myself >.<. (I'm not saying that they were all awesome, but there were many good ones and and only a few that I didn't really like.)

So, umm... yeah I started trying to name the characters that were being cosplayed. Almost yelling out their names for some! And it pleased me to knwo that I actually recognised a good majority of them :D. On the other hand, this ment that any conversation I was in or sentence that I was making was broken by sudden outbursts of "RISTUKAAAA!!!" or "NAURuTOOO!!!" or "WAIII IT'S.. IT'S WAIIII!!!" (when it came to the characters I recognized but the names escaped me...) and etc. It was pretty bad... but hey I was having fun>.<. Much like the five year old child at the zoo, naming all the animals she saw :P.

Anyways, about an hour was spent with me in this state... (I was about to say mental condition... hehehe I wonder which would have been more apropriate...). If I wasn't yelling the names outloud (like a maniac), I was definitely yelling them in my head (which isn't much better because it disrupts all thoughts and everything... though I guess it was for the best for the people around me).

Anyways, within this time span I made my way to the retail section ( I needed to by my roommate a birthday present). And well much like all retail sections there are stands with various things on sale, most of which were manga and anime merchandise.

I also noticed the stand for the . YES, I SAW SOME OF THEIR MEMBERS IN REAL LIFE!!!! Well much like everyone I too get obsessed. About what you may ask? Well one of my classmates in Japanese class offered to show me an anime while waiting for my Japanese class to start... So well I being a fan was like sure why not which one?

And here he puts his laptop on my lap and tells me it's a new one that is actually a three part movie... It's called "Byousoku 5 centimeter". IT'S AWESOME!!!!!

Mainly I think it's one of the sweetest animes out there and I love it to bits!! :heart: :heart: :heart: It's really innocent and since I just said that maybe a few of you have started loosing interest what a shame you're missing out on a very VERY touching anime. really. I have to download it somehow... But I can't find it for direct download!! :cry: why won't torrents work on my mac!!!! It did for a sec and then just died... :tears: But I'll find a way...

Anyways it's really sweet and the characters are cute. and well I just want to :glomp:, :hug: and well you get the picture.

It really is sweet and deals with the developing love between this girl and guy in the start of highschool or was it middleschool... they've moved apart but write letters to each other. And well I won't spoil.

I'm spazzing about it all over the place (though that doesn't appear in writing... doesn't come out naturally...) And just couldn't help but share:D

The one problem is that the next part/episode wont be translated in a while... :tears: Ah well I'll just have to be content with watching Deathnote while I'm waiting :P

Or at least I hope to ^^; It's one of the smaller FREE ones in Toronto:P and it's next weekend (the weekend of the 17th...):D
I'm really looking forward to going:D though nothing is for certain I do have to figure out where exactly to go and see if anyone will come with me:P gahh I would have liked to cosplay... :/ but I don't have any costume... or anything that would give an interesting or typical-of-fan look... Ah well next time... maybe reserve that for the con I go to with ~PandaRosi if she comes to canada XD.

Since I really want something to do other than the routine homework I think I shall participate in a little request thing. here are the rules:P
