I made a lot of mistakes on 2009, yes.
Made some people mad, which really lowered my self esteem.
I had some really depressive times, though I hate to admit it.

...but I got through it.
And I like to think that I learnt from those experiences,
even when I know that there are still things I need to fix.
Hopefully I managed to improve as a person.

On the good side, I met some awesome people,
and noticed how awesome some people I already knew are.
I saw how much some people care about me,
the ones who stayed with me on both good and bad times.
You have no idea of how much I love you for that.

Art wise I started focusing on feelings and concepts, doing illustrations rather than comics. Right now I feel like comics just aren't my thing, really. Most of them were pretty lame to be honest...so yeah! Got a new perspective on what I want to work on, and I hope I'll keep improving on that during 2010!

I also strengthened my bonds with some of my OCs (guess some of you will get me on this instead of thinking I'm insane?), they've taught me a lot and helped me through difficult times (: especially everyone in Peaceboneland who helps me understand what's going on in my mind when I feel confused! thanks for that, guys, I love you <3

Now let's leave all this, keep what we've learnt, and move on to 2010!

Oh...2010. The year I'm finishing high school. I hope I can figure out what I want to study, as I'm still not sure about it...lots of important decisions that I have to make this year! I'm defining my future here, and I confess that I am really nervous. Hope I get the knowledge to make the right decisions!

So yeah...my best of wishes to all of us for this new year! Remember that a big part of what happens is up to us, so let's make 2010 a good year!

As for me, it was odd but awesome

I made a friend happy, noticed that some of the people next to me are amazing, that there are people who care about me more than I thought, and I got to share with those I love and care about. Yeah, it was awesome and I'm really happy :'D happy tears all over!

Also I got a DS lite! I was too philosophical to care about it then, but HEY this is awesome 8D I have no games for it though LOL, must get myself some...Professor Layton, you're the first on my list! *n* hell yessssss~

I also got some awesome giftarts which I totally love (I was going to list you but I'm afraid of forgetting someone, you know who you are

ilu!), and subs from Pirp & Zen *v* thanks again everyone! -huuugs-

Hey there people! sorry for spamming you so much with journals lately, but...

I watched Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs today.

I don't have words to explain how much I loved that film. Seriously, I loved it with my life. It was like, a million times more amazing than I thought it was and just fghdghhisogjsdoi AAAAAAH

First, the art, style & animation was awesome. It was beautiful. And little Flint killed me a million times because he was so damn cute aaah ;A; SO ADORABLE and they all had the best expressions ever - it's been ages since I last laughed with cartoon faces this much haaaa~ amazing :'D

THEN the film's about a scientist. A SCIENTIST, GUYS. And if you know that I'm going to study to be a scientist you can figure how amazed I was *A* I even CRIED during the whole beggining, with little scientist Flint~ I CRIED HAPPY TEARS AND I'M NOT JOKING, IT WAS JUST BEAUTIFUL ;______;

As for me, I just started learning Braille not so long ago, keep trying to read yoghurt bottles during breakfast - I'm getting good at it now though! (: I've also tried to walk with my eyes closed, using a broomstick as a cane...going downstairs is more difficult than you think, seriously D:

Just wondering, does any of you have a special place to write down your ideas? Not a sketchbook, but a place to just put your ideas for stuff you want to draw later. I started doing it some months ago: decided to gather all the ideas I used to write on sketchbooks, the back of my notebooks, or whatever I had at hand, into a single place: my Idea Book.

well, it's not really a "book", it's just a regular notebook xD but anyways! it has three colours, which comes in handy for organising my ideas into themes/series. My OCD approves!

The red part is for random ideas for comics and drawings, the blue one is my storyboard for Unlimited and the green one are ideas for Hyphen comic strips! now why I haven't done any comics even when I have the ideas is a mistery still unsolved...

That's the main point of my idea notebook: I don't care about the art at all xD I have my sketchbook for that! :T

Hello everyone! : D

This week was my school's anniversary week! and as a member of the student council (also known as CADIP) we had to organise the whole thing~ and holy crap that's a lot of work! make all the activities, the opening act/dance, the party at the end where we give the results, etc, etc...FFFFF -facedesk-

I slept nothing during the whole week, wandered like a zombie during the party, got stressed about lots of things during the week, fought with some people...and suddenly

we were done.

I just...can't describe how it was when we realised that it was over ;v; we sang and danced around and gdfgadfsgdfg WE'RE AWESOME!

despite the problems we managed to finish the week, look back and realise that we did a good job. And many people thought the same of us as well~ I've got to say that I'm happy, and very proud of the whole team - we're awesome!

So yeah, my birthday was on Friday but I just got the time to sit and write something NOW OTL did I tell you I'm incredibly busy right now? because I am.

ANYWAYS

So in the morning I went to school as usual, yes...everyone was like HAPPY BIRTHDAY and hugs and stuff @u@ LOL you're so nice guys, even though you called me old~ fun how people online say I'm young but offline everyone says I'm old LOL WHY

Then after school I went bowling with 3 of my best friends offline I HAD SO MUCH FUN THOUGH MY HAND STILL HURTS I'M SUCH A WEAKLING ;v;

and after that we had some icecream and created some cracktastic stories LOL IT WAS SO FUNNY, WE WERE A BIG COMPOUND FAMILY 8D pffft I had an awesome time with you three, ilu :'D

Then we went home and my whole family was there yaaaay 8D lots of fun and snacks, I ate so much stuff in a day omfg I almost died D8 ANYWAYS then it was PRESENT TIEM YAY lots of chocolates (and I mean LOTS OF THEM), some cool t-shirts that says "call yourself an artist" wtf, a book about some kind of mathematician mafia, some fun maze-thingie, a gigantic dog plushie and a gigantic frog plushie 8D AND MY PARENTS GAVE ME AN IPOOOODD 8D a green iPod Nano pffft ;v; I loved my old mp3 but IT HAS 16GB OF SPACE WHUUTTT I managed to put ALL OF MY MUSIC, ALL OF IT OH MY GOD -dies-

On Saturday dad took me to my fav art supply store and let me choose markers! I got some set of gray Prisma markers and a couple of Tria ones 8D MARKERS, KURI APPROVES

after that we went to look for a case for my iPod when suddenly "LOOK LOOK ISN'T THAT A WACOM I had no idea they sold them here" and dad's like "yeah I wanted to give you one but the guy in the store I went to said it only worked on Mac" and so he asked the guy on this store and he's all "oh no no, it also works on Vista"

hello!

I'm back

I had a very good time, the best watermelon juice ever, some cool tours to very high places (the Corcovado and the Sugar Loaf, I was frightened!), and a lot of movies on the plane, along with other things.

I'd write some more but I don't want to bother you with my blabbery, plus it's late and I should go to sleep.

also

I have two essays for next week and I haven't even started them 8D and my school's anniversary is in 3 weeks and as a member of the flipping student council we've got a lot of work to do; which goes from planning activities to inflating baloons.

Therefore, I might not be very active (art-wise) for a while.
I'd say I won't be here lurking but there's no way I can stop myself from lurking around.

So yeah, I guess that's all!

from Peaceboneland
Peaceboneland is a metaphorical world that represents my mind. The name comes from Animal Collective's song "Peacebone", which I was obsessed with when I first created all this. I didn't come up with a better name so this one kinda stuck OTL

1. Kuri
Half of my username, Kuriru

she started being the RL me but then it looked so different than the real me, she ended up being a part of my mind xD the optimist part of me. The one who loves. The one who floats. Her clothes were originally white and blue, since blue is my fav colour, but red looked better so it stayed like it is now XD

2. Kurio
Kurio started being the male version of my persona, which I made as a joke with ~Denorii :U hence the lame name "Kuri-o", Kurio LOL 8DD; then I left him and he was neglected until I gave him the tophat for no apparent reason, and then got him into Peaceboneland :I he represents creativity. Fact: he painted Peaceboneland. Blame him for all the trippy colours & shapes in there.

3. Knowledge
Well his name is pretty obvious isn't it :/ I woke up once with some sort of "scene": Kuri walking into some gigantic library in the middle of Peaceboneland, and then this guy appears. "who are you?" "I am Knowledge." AND WELL, HERE HE IS? 8D; and he represents knowledge, who would've guessed...

4. Antikurio
Another obvious name, this time for Kurio's arch-nemesis. If Kurio is creativity, Antikurio is artblock. Apparently this guy loves coming to visit me 8| nnggrrrrr~~

5. Riru
Half of my username, Kuriru xD With Kuri being the optimist half of my mind, Riru is the pessimist one. Created her when I was feeling down, though I don't remember why I was so sad then |: I just...needed to vent somehow and Kuri was too happy for it. It was all for good though, now there's a balance between the two. mmhmm.

6. Azu
Azu comes from "azul", spanish for "blue", and this guy is blue so ffff yeah that >:I created him while doodling random designs for plushies - which I never made OTL. In Peaceboneland he represents protection C: keeps my mind safe~ safe from what? I don't know. ffff.

7. the Bonefish
Took the name from Animal Collective's "Peacebone", which says "bonefish!" at both the beggining and the end of the song XD it just...sounded nice. Plus they're like a group of ...cube-shaped fish. OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. OR NOT. IDK ANYMORE. LOL. BTW they represent company C: -hugs them all-

TL;DR, today was awesome.

I woke up at 8 in the morning, and went with my dad to my old neighborhood to take some photos. It was so beautiful oh god ;___;

we even managed to get inside my old building and all, I was fascinated~ seriously, it was just magical. And what makes it more magical is that it felt so familiar, even if I hadn't been there for 4 years! Well I often dream with those places, so it's probably because of that~ hee x) so yeah, nostalgia and whatnot I almost cried.

THEN we went to this park nearby where I used to play as a kid. GUESS WHAT, now it's the National park of COMICS. Like OH MY GOD FFFF

you've got to admit it's awesome! it has statues of comic characters and little pics all over haaa~ :'D someday I'll get my comics to be there, someday.

I didn't say much about it, nor I'm saying much about it, some might have heard some things, but that's not what matters. All I can tell you is; did something stupid, got in trouble, went through a series of conversations, paranoid moments, along with other stuff...

I got this close of having to leave student council. They had their reasons, yes. But I was given a second chance, which is awesome ;u; I know I won't screw it, and I hope I can do a good job through the rest of the year~

These two weeks were crazy, but I got to learn a lot of stuff from all this. Not only because of the bad things, of knowing that I'll never get in trouble ever again (god no, not after going through all this!); but I was also able to see how much people care about me. I never expected to receive so much support from my class, from my teachers, from my friends...it was amazing, seriously. You don't know how much I love you all ;___;

So yeah! I think that pretty much sums up what happened through the last 2 weeks; so for those who wanted to know, now you do! heehee :'D

Oh god today was awesome!

I had the play today! We were way too nervous, forgot a couple of lines, etc...but personally I think we did pretty good! managed to get in character and improvise some stuff so no one really noticed XD there was this part where some people who had to appear took so loooonggg to get ready! a friend and I were in the stage waiting for them, and we had to improvise for like 5 minutes LOL x'DD on that minute I was reeeaaally nervous, but now I think of all the things we did and keep laughing at it XD so yeah, it was fun after all! and apparently we got a good score as well C: AWESOME BECAUSE I SERIOUSLY NEED SOME GOOD GRADES ON LITERATURE OTL

Also we got one of our projects from Student Council accepted! 8D finally! Now I have to write an announcement for tomorrow, and then study Fromm for tomorrow's test fghfghfghfh~

On other news, I'm thinking of calling this guy Frap. Took the name from an old-old-OLD character I had (he was a Cinnamoroll fancharacter wtf) AND it fits with feeling receptor and projector, which pretty much summarizes his functions 8D -LAME- I've been doodling him all over my notebooks lollll need to draw something decent when I get the time~

So last Saturday I went with a couple of friends to the cinema to watch Angels and Demons. I had almost no idea of what the thing was about, so I wasn't expecting anything good or bad...

but WAAUUUGGGH IT WAS AWESOME ;___;

I LOVED IT, SERIOUSLY ;; During the second half of the film I just wanted to scream or something and when it finished all I could say was something like "WAAUUGGHHGSFOASJFOASJ" LOL <3 (haven't been like that with a film since Wall-E...). Also not only the story and all is good, but the effects are just too awesome ;u; oh, and it has the LHC on it! extra points for having some Physics! so yeah, you've got to see it if you haven't. Because it's aaweeesomeeee waaghhh~

My eyes were almost bleeding from watching so much stuff.

But it was worth it! I had a lot of fun

BEWARE RANT AHEAD OTL;;; /FAIL

So! I failed on my Literature test, god damn D: I got like...53%? hfhgfhgfhgf I answered like half of the test because I made some ridiculously long answers and didn't manage to finish it in time and stuff. SO YEAH, THAT.

THING IS, I (almost) always get over 90% in EVERYTHING LOL, so everyone in my class was "shocked" by it |: WHICH MAKES ME MAD. My friends were all "it's okaaaay" like if I were going to suicide for that or something LOL XDDD BUT WHAT REALLY BOTHERED ME were the people who aren't my friends. Everyone was like "you failed? REALLY?" at me, trying to look worried, but deep inside I could see that they were happy or something D: wtf. Just because I failed and they (who fail at life) didn't, they must be happy for that? PFFFFT. They were totally laughing at me on the inside.

LIKE SERIOUSLY, when I get 100% on Maths while they get like...30% I don't go around all "OH, YOU FAILED, WHILE I GOT EVERYTHING RIGHT HAAHAHAHAH" |:<

Also I feel bad enough knowing that I failed at the damn thing I don't need everyone reminding me that I did. fghfghfhfhfgwhatever.

So yeah, that. Needed to vent a little bit I guess...sorry for bothering you D:

I shall now leave to study Maths! I suddenly got the urge to go all "IN YOUR FACE" at everyone when we get the results for our next Math test, but I won't because I'm too awesome for that 8D

Hello everyone again! 8D I'm back from my two-week trip to the beach- and it was a lot of fun! (: I took two bags full of markers and paper and drew nothing XDD I just slept, went to the pool a couple of times, and watched lots of TV *A* (House <333) ...there was also this wi-fi spot nearby so I managed to get online from time to time~

For me, it was awesome

I met =Denorii in person. Twice.
I went abroad for the first time (to Argentina, and then to the US).
I also got on a plane for the first time.
I met a lot of awesome people both online and offline ;u;
I got some special gifts from special people <3
I got to know better some people I already knew.
I changed a lot. For good, I guess.

And a lot more stuff, yes...but ah well. Thing is, I'm happy. This was a good year. I hope 2009 is as good as 2008 or even better~
