Right, since I'm now convinced that I'm not talking to an empty room when I update here, and I'm focusing on thinking of good memories of my late grandmother instead of thinking of her death, I'm ready to start working again ^^

First! Let me introduce our newest member and second archer/spy to the clan ! Give them a great, warm welcome. (=

Second! After many discussions with one of my comic teachers, I've shortened down the intro to my comic, from over 100 pages to somewhere between 40 to 50
pages, which hopefully will be much easier for me to create and for everyone else to read. I'm going to move the current pages to my scraps, but I will finish the legend of the pirate king, since I'm fond of these pages, and I want to finish the story before I start over. So if you're curious about the rest of grandpa's story, make sure you watch the scraps, eh? ^_^

Please have patience with me, because I have very little idea of what I'm currently doing =3 I think this will be good, though. Ken won't be dominating the newer version, as he does in the current one D= Bad Ken -slaps on fingers-

There's been a death in my family recently, and I'm fighting to keep up with at least some of the school work that our teachers are throwing at us, and I almost don't know which leg I'm supposed to be standing on right now.

Anyway... Right now, I would like to know if there are any active members left. Because it feels like it would be a waste of my time and energy to update this if no one reads it or even cares about it.

I'm sorry if this is short and sort of unfriendly-sounding. It's nothing I wish to aim against any of you, but I'm not feeling that great at the moment.

You know, I won't put up a new theme for November, because I don't have the time to finish pictures right now. o_o The tempo at school is picking up, and we have lots to do (two deadlines for November x_x ). But I'll do my best to at least keep on working on the comic for this site. I've finished the first storyboard-draft for the first part of it, and I can't wait to finish with the rough draft for the script =3 I think it'll be good once I work out all the stuff I have to add to it.

Anyway, have a nice November if I don't return with more news before the December Theme around the 30th!

NEW THEME!

What's the best thing with October? I think most of us know the answer to that. Hallowe'en, of course! What can be better than to make a costume, go to a party or just simply go out trick-or-treating after dark? Well, then our characters shouldn't have to miss out on all the fun either, don't you agree?

So it's time to think of costumes, party tricks and ghost stories, because Halloween is only a month away.

The deadline for this theme is November 1st. This is because I'm going home over Halloween, and on the 1st, I should be able to stop cuddling with my kitty long enough to post up the entries.

Oh, and this is no contest. It's a way to show off your pictures for the whole clan, and also an attempt from my side to keep the clan alive... Without you, there is no pirate clan

Anyway, it's now the 19th of September, and we have a new THEME!

This time, the theme will be Autumn/Fall. I bet most of us have noticed the leaves turning yellow and kamikaze-diving off the trees for the kids to play in... But don't forget that this is the time of year when the air is chilly and crisp, and the bugs gets fewer and fewer
So to celebrate these two last weeks of September, let's show off our characters fully enjoying this season. Maybe even going back to school?

And in further news, I'm almost done with my schoolwork. I've already finished Math and English, so that leaves History, Swedish and PC. Yay. Soon, I can focus on this comic without having my homework gnawing at the back of my head.

I'm working on the new pages, but since I've just rejoined the Avatar Battle Royale on Gaia, that also takes up some time... Finally! Eleven days without school. Okay, so four of them are weekend-days, but still.

I've made sketches for four new pages! Yes, and I've almost finished inking one of them. My back hurts after sitting with that damn page for about 10 hours. I hate drawing houses... So many angles. x_x;

Yes. I have made the important decision that will seal the fate of my comic. o_o; Okay, maybe it's not a fatesealing decision, but still. I have decided what to do with it, anyway. And that is that I will not use our clan in the comic. I want each new character to be a surprise to my few readers. However, I can assure you that each member of this clan will be in the comic in some way. ^^ I promise.

And that is the captain's decision.

I think that I can put the comic pages up some time in April. The winners of the manga contest I entered them in will be decided in March this year, and after that, I don't think that anyone will care if I put them up here or not. They're mine, dagnabbit! >3<

I haven't been feeling too good this past week. I don't know if it's some post-parents'divorcing thing or whatever, but I've been feeling like shit for several days now. I've even been so damn low, that I have been telling my mom that I don't want to go to sleep, because it means that I have to get up in the morning.

And to add to that... (And please, clan, don't kill me just yet... okay?) I've been thinking a lot about the comic. One part of me wants to use your great characters in it, because it would be fun to have my friends in it. But then there's another part that wants to make up my own characters instead... And I'm torn between those two....

Now, I want to explain the motives the second part has to have its opinion in this matter. It's not that I don't like the characters you have provided, because I think they're great. It has nothing to do with that.

It's just that I've been trying to make all the characters have their own pasts and their own personalities, which is a little difficult, since I don't want to make any of their creators - you guys - think that I've messed up their characters. So far, it hasn't been that much of a problem, but I don't know if their personalities make them stand out that much.

Maybe I'm just being difficult about this. However, I think that it's something that I need to think about to get better at drawing and storytelling... Or something like that, anyway.

The first 15 pages of the comic are currently being stored away from public view because of the contest, but I'll post up page 16 and onward when I get the time to make them. The first pages will be back up later this winter, when it should be safe to put them up and not risk to be disqualified from the contest I've entered them in.

On a lighter note, I'm happy to announce that I've started up the work on the comic again. I've made a storyboard for the five first pages of the new Chapter 1 (believe me, it's way better than the first one... ) and I think it's going to be good...

I've moved all the old comic pages to my scraps. We'll see what I do with them later... Hopefully, I'll be able to start drawing the comic in three weeks, when there's supposed to be a week-long holiday (yay for Halloween!).

Heh, it's been a while since I actually did something with this account.... So I thought I should put up some info about what's going on with the KuroKame Pirate Clan.

Well, we got ourselves a new crewmember: , who brought Gere the Chef and Bun the Dog. I'm going to make a picture of the whole crew, including two new faces in addition to our second chef. ^^ I hope that you'll give the figments of my imagination a warm, musical welcome. Oops, wasn't supposed to say the m-word... I hope no one noticed.

I've also just started with the remake of the first chapter. I think I've figured out a way to draw it so that the story flows better. So I'm either going to delete all the old comic pages and upload the new ones as I finish them, or simply use the edit function to replace the old comic pages with the new ones... We'll see what I decide to do, even if I think I'll delete the old ones... ^^

Kame has gone through a slight makeover, and I'll post up a picture of her new looks once I actually make one... oo;;

The first chapter is finished. Well, I still have to ink the three last pages and put some shades in the trees and such, but other than that, Chapter 1 is finished. Just in time, too. I'm going to need the weekend to prepare for printing, and make a frontpage in colour. It is going to be spiffy. -nod nod-
I was thinking of merging Chapter 1 and 2 (and maybe even Chapter 3, I don't know yet) but I haven't decided if I'm really going to do that or not....
