Yeah, the thing kinda sorta didn't come with a battery charger.

And the battery is sorta, kinda dead.



That explains the lack of submissions from me. And with only 15 days until I go to Houston, I need to get this solved NOW!

Edit: And upon further investigation, it seems that the camera didn't come with a battery charger because it didn't come with a rechargeable battery! Kodak, how dare you!

I promise I'll be going out and getting some new pictures soon - I've just been going nuts what with work, trying to get two friends jobs at my company, and planning for my trip to Houston in August.

Speaking of that trip, I will be sure to post some pictures from Houston. It'll be slightly less glamorous (if you can call it that) than my home in Dallas - my parents who I'm visiting aren't that well off, you see.

Thus I beseech you, my watchers and fellow deviants, to advise me! As you can see from my pictures so far, I'm not amazing, but I'm learning, and I'd like something with some more muscle to learn more with. Any and all advice you can give me will be luffed.

Wait.

Okay, so it's not Guuren Photographen, but I got a wonderful new tripod today. I then leaped on the TRE and made my way to Fort Worth for a Saturday's worth of photo opportunities. The results, as you'll see when I post them shortly, were impeccable. The more I use this little camera, the more I'm proud of it.

Anyways, I'm toying with some advanced trickery under the tutelage of my grandmother, and I'm hoping it starts to blossom soon.

I guess I'll have to add that onto my "tools of the trade". I can already tell someone's gonna find it and be all "RAH RAH THATS A BAD CAMERA UR A PHOTO NOOB RAH RAH". To which I'd probably agree. That's why I got it - it has enough automatic control to keep me from looking bad and enough manual control to let me flex my claws and learn under my own power.

I'll be putting my first shot - a very nice shot of the downtown Dallas skyline - up after I finish this journal.

After that? Who knows. Mostly I'll be snapping at things around here in Dallas, though with the TRE nearby, I might take a jaunt to Fort Worth and snap some stuff there.
