So, judging from my current poll, the majority of people want me to do Warriors fanart. Hate to break it to you, but I'm gonna do whatever the hell I want XD
I'm not really into that book series anymore, actually I only ever liked the first arc, I just read on hoping that it'll get better. But it's disappointing lol. And I grew out of the series, so I don't feel like doing fanart for it anymore. Well, I do have a WIP animation that has to do with a scene from Warriors, but I dunno if I'll get that done.

Anyways, I was kinda disappointed that people prefer to see fanart from a cat series than original art from my own head. Thanks for the input, though.


So, in conclusion, I'm still gonna post whatever I feel like. I don't care if it gets less feedback and faves, because that's not really important. I'll just draw what I enjoy drawing. Take it or leave it
Maybe I'm making a big deal out of nothing because I tend to do that. But whatever, just letting you guys know.

BUT, i will draw fanart once in awhile just not as often as I used to. I don't wanna disappoint my watchers, but I also don't wanna force myself to draw stuff that I don't really like anymore.


Anyways, those of you who want fanart.. what do you want me to draw? Like, what scene is your favorite or moment or blah. My muse in kinda dried out warriors-wise. So give me a request (pertaining to the series) and I'll choose one and draw it.

I'm debating wether I should do commissions or not. Just some quick ones, like sketches. Nothing big. And maybe some flat colored flash clipart things (no shading). Keepin' it simple.

But... I feel like venting my sadness. Just so if people noticed I'm acting particularly unusual on here, and for those of you who talk to me on AIM and watch me here... well... My grandfather died yesterday. So if you decide to chat with me, don't ask me what's wrong, if i'm alright or for any further detail. I don't really want to talk about it a lot at this moment. I just wanted to let you guys know that I probably won't be myself for the next week or two.

He was old and he had gotten sick many times. But he always, always, ALWAYS would pull through. And this time he wasn't that sick, just had a small infection and he wasn't particularly weak. just tired... I guess he decided to let go. He died peacefully in his sleep.

I admired him a lot. He helped my mom, raise me along with my grandma. My dad was never there-- it's complicated. So he was one of my main father figures who always took care of me and spoiled me to no end. I'm the oldest grandchild and the one he got closest too, he never really spoiled the other my cousins since he got too old and sick. I feel so lucky i got the privilege to know him.

I'm not one to post up sobby mourning art. It'll just make me sadder. So i'll just continue posting whatever i normally post and be random and happy.

I'll miss him, though.

Comic Update:

Consider the first two pages tester pages because I decided to prolong the first chapter a bit and not jump into action right away. First some key characters will be introduced and then it'll pick up from there.

I haven't been updating my comic because it isn't ready. But I have been working really hard on it, I got a sketchbook dedicated for the storyboard to this comic. I'm already 7 pages in and I got it last night <3
So once I get the story more developed and a better image of how I'm going to present it then I'll start working on it digitally and posting it on here!

This'll probably be long...

So, I decided I wanted to read some comics. I found a few that were interesting, about people and whatnot. But it's hard to keep my attention for long. hell, when I do my own art I have a hard time focusing on finishing it that's why I like to do quick small projects. But that's besides the point.

I look at wolf comics. When you've read one, you've practically read them all. I'm just generalizing here, I'm not saying ALL comics on wolves or whatever are the same- but the majority are- plotwise and character wise. It's like reading 20 different versions of the same story with slightly altered character personalities and settings.
I know it's hard to come with an original idea and maintain it. Nothing is original nowadays, but people still try to insert their own element that personalizes their comic and I respect them for that.

But now it seems to be a trend. A generic, overused, silly trend.

Here's the rundown:

So there's a prophecy. And there's a chosen one. Usually they're born on a stormy night, dark, cold, a war is going on and the wolf guru thinks it's sign from the gods. This chosen wolf is more likely cursed with the power of uncontrollably fury when messed with or massive strength or a healer.
The Chosen one has a tragic past. Father leaves or gets killed by disgruntled uncle who takes over as pack leader. Mom is helpless and worthless, her being a normal wolf, can't do anything worth shit. NO, it's the CHOSEN ONE.

The Chosen one is most likely a male. Female, if this story is being written by anyone from the ages of 11-14. Cuz you know, GIRL POWER!

Said Chosen One is banished when his uncle takes over because he knows too much. Chosen one goes on an epic journey, gathers friends, meets a bitch and claims her as his own. Then they return to defeat the uncle in some epic war battle. Or so I assume.

A lot of comics haven't reached their end, so who knows what will happen. I'm just throwing down what I observe and assume. I hate to assume, because that's judging something or someone before you actually know them or their story. But it's hard not to when you see countless comic prologues about wolves being born on a bad day with some epic destiny to uphold.

I probably shouldn't be nagging. Who am I to say or judge how I think a comic should be plotted out? It's not my story to tell, so I should probably just shut up. Well, honestly I once had the same idea as a lot of these people do now. "I'm gonna make a comic about wolves.. OMG ABOUT A WAR. LOL SO ORIGINAL"

But I never did because I sat down and thought about it for awhile. I surprised myself at not being impulsive. I did draw the characters, made character designs and got the basic plot but I eventually let the story go because I just couldn't think of anything refreshing to add to all the comics of today.

I notice people try to add their originality through character designs. The mohawks, the vibrant unnatural colors, the crazy markings.. whatever. It's just these designs are starting to lose their originality too. It's so common to see a blue and red wolf running around-- it just gets old.


Again, who am I to judge?
People get really defensive about their stories- the stories that come straight from their head and that they have an urge to share with the world. I guess it's what art is all about. Creating something that means something to you, even if it contains ridiculous colored creatures and generic stories.

I just hate how it's becoming a trend. A trend to get popular? People looking up to comic artists, trying to become their best buds to gain fame and popularity?

I see some of the art skills of the comics and it's nothing to awe about. I admit, I'm a beginner when it comes to comics so this whole thing is a learning experience. I like to look at other comics to compare my work and see how and what I can improve. That's why I post comics, to get feedback and tips (hopefully, but that's not usually the case-- but that's a whole different rant). I am really fond of constructive criticism.
But some comics just don't.. have a nice flow. Sometimes the author lack in anatomy skills plus story telling skills. They don't research or develop the basic skills of comic-making. Maybe it's good to do a little research before jumping in? Like, how to format a page? Speech bubbles? What fond is recommended? Test it out on the first few pages to get a feel for it, that's what I'm doing. People probably have better tips or techniques than me, I'm just giving out a suggestion.

Last night I got back from South America! It was an amazing trip. I visited Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands! I got many pictures of wildlife and I may post a few of my best ones on here eventually.

So I'm back and I'm working on my art! I've missed doodling on my tablet and stuff. I drew on the trip, but it's mainly ridiculous art and parodies of Supernatural

I'm working on some fanart, planning out the third page of my comic and much much more!



Summer is coming to an end. Classes for me start August 31st! I'll be a college freshman, so wish me luck!

YAY!


I figured it's about time I update my journal, considering my last entry was about christmas and now it's late june. I've been busy the past couple of months. But my IB exams are over and school is over. Now it's time for college!

I'll be busy this summer, as well. I probably won't have much free time and my scanner has been really disagreeable. Some days it works, others it won't. But I'm planning on using some of my graduation money to buy a Wacom tablet... after like... 5 years of not having one and needing/wanting one XD
It's been increasingly difficult using my mouse for drawing on the computer and I'm bored of the struggle since i'm a lefty but I have to draw on the computer with my right hand. It's a drag. So I think it's about time for a change


I think I still owe people some art (wow, I'm bad at this). I tend to put off things, feel guilty about them later on then suddenly forget. So hopefully I'll get around to drawing a bunch of gift art for people I think deserve something- or for people I think I owe art to... if that makes any sense.

And I agreed. Since I'm not so fun of coloring and whatnot, it thought it'd be nice to do a little project where I only provide the sketches and the storyline. Fallen has volunteered to do the inking and coloring! So right now we're a pretty good team. But we still need someone to do backgrounds and blocking.
We don't really NEED this person, but it'd be nice to have one. If worst comes to worse, then I'll do the backgrounds.

So if anyone is interested in participating, don't hesitate to tell me or Fallen! Just show us a sample of your background work and we'll decide whether it's the type of backgrounds we're looking for or not.

Also, we're having trouble deciding which storyline to choose. We've narrowed it down to two.

1) An experimental facility, hidden away in a hard-to-locate area, has taken animals and used them in much of their experimenting. They attempt to alter genes, test medicines and also they plan on creating a super-canine. They'd like to take all the good qualities of different canines and mix them all into one, and also test steroids and whatnot. They want to create the perfect dog: one that will obey, be loyal, be stronger than the average dog, heightened senses and a great courage.
This story follows one mutt's life, who's young and as happy as can be. Her name is Zero. She was born and raised in that facility, and has not really seen the outside world. All she knew what in that facility, she didn't know there was more to life than that. She's naive, playful and joyful.. nothing brings her down. But when a drop of freedom comes falling into her barred window... she starts to dream of a life that is more exciting and fulfilling is this.. then all her opinions change and she plans for a great escape...
But there are many obstacles and challenges she has to face before she can get a taste of freedom. Will she ever succeed in her escape?


2) This is more of a fantasy-like tale. DreamCatchers (current name, maybe change later) are dream spawned creatures who's only purpose are to capture dream and nightmares (a reason why an individual wakes up and has difficulty remembering what they were dreaming about). DreamCatchers do not think. They do not feel. They do not care about anything except their jobs. That is their sole purpose. But when one DreamCatcher gets a glimpse of reality, he begins to rethink his purpose, his reasons being where he was at.
He couldn't grasp the idea that no one else cared. They didn't think there was anything more to their lives than just catching dreams. This individual DreamCatcher wondered if he had parents, like so many other did- reflected in their dreams. He knows nothing of himself or of anything. He grows through this journey through dreams, thoughts and nightmares to understand why he is a DreamCatcher...
After discovering that one DreamCatcher has become an anomaly, the Dream Maker wants him destroyed. He can erase things very easily but if he doesn't know where the DreamCatcher is, he can't touch him. So now our DreamCatcher is technically a fugitive (for breaking the laws of the dreamworld.. aka questioning reality)... can he outwit the Dream Maker? or will he be erased like all the other past anomalies...?
(small bit at the end here: The protagonist of this story is represented in the form of a feline, haha big surprise. In this dreamworld, anyone can take the shape or form of anything... so yeah.. DreamCatchers usually take the form of small animals)



Those are my two ideas. Eh.. they may sound a bit cheesy, but I think the final idea will come out nice. Plus, the way these two comics will be depicted artistically with be awesome (hopefully)!

Well, now that the elections are over hopefully things will die down. I'm getting weary of hearing about politics. I want my mindless/witty entertainment back! I need reasons to avoid homework and studying.

I'm sure a lot of people are getting tired of hearing all this mumbo jumbo. Just wanted to say, congratulations Obama!
I was more worried about some of the props than I was of the presidential election. I'm not exactly sure which candidate I would've liked more, but I'm glad Obama won. It's just.. I don't understand why McCain would choose someone with so little experience such as Palin. Or maybe I just don't get politics.

Anyways... Dammit Prop 8. Why did it have to pass? UGH. Some people are really selfish, I guess. So people have to live their lives with CERTAIN restricted rights just to make other people happy >.<'
Just let people live their damn lives the way they want to. It's their choice, not yours. BUT APPARENTLY some people still have sticks shoved up their asses stabbing their brains.




SO. Since that all this stuff is over with... what do we do with our lives now?

Anyways, I hope everyone had a great Halloween. I had a pretty sweet one but it got tiring at the end. Still, it was cool. I've been in my Halloween costume for 15 hours or so and I am SOOOO ready to take it off lol.

I'll probably upload a late Halloween picture soon.. I should really make something.. I mean.. this is my favorite holiday. It's just been a long hard week. I have Mock IB exams. My school has the worst schedule all set up, it's a real pain.
Today I had History mocks from 8:30-10:30 and then there was a three hour gap and school was on lock-down so we weren't allowed to leave campus.. gaaaah the heat and boredom really got to me, but I made the most of it. Then I have English mocks from 2:00-4:00... I don't know why they time it so far apart from the previous test. Seriously. It's a friday. It's Halloween. We wanna take our tests, bust out of school then party and/or hang out.

Whatever. I'm glad this week is over. It's a huge relief and I just wanna relax now.. for the weekend. Then back to daily stress and college apps. YAY 8D
But I don't get that stressed cuz i'm very laid back which is a good AND bad thing lol.

Procrastination doesn't help either...

But yeah, I couldn't wait. I just had to get these songs, there's just something about them that makes me feel happy inside. I smile when I listen to their songs, it gives me a feel-good feeling. I'm not sure why... my adrenaline starts pumping and I just get really excited.
Anyways, I'm expecting more iTunes giftcards from people I know because that's all I've really been getting these past couple of years. I'm not complaining, I love music and a bunch my favorite bands are releasing new CDs so i can't wait!

Band I'm obsessing over now: Guster, particularly their album Goldfly and their song Medicine. But the rest of the songs are good if you like Death Cab For Cutie and Postal Service. But these guys are different, a bit more up beat.

Oh yeah, in other news: I've been practicing drawing humans. That's mostly what I've been drawing lately. I don't know why, but ever since I started getting better I couldn't stop drawing people. I was getting bored with drawing cats and dogs all the time, I've practically 'mastered' them in my style, I seek no improvements for my techniques at drawing animals at the moment (maybe just in odd perspectives, that's fun and hard) but yeah I really wanted to try something different. So might post up some of my sketches of humans.

BUT that isn't what this journal is about.


I wanted to talk about the lack of originality the creative world has these days.

So, I assume we all know it isn't that easy creating a story, with a solid plot and interesting characters that stand out. We can have a basic idea, scribble a few 'interesting' and 'unique' character designs and throw out an incomplete plot easily, but forming the finish product is a bit more difficult than it sounds.

What I've noticed though, is that people are just throwing that these comics that have the same generic storylines with the same range of characters that really don't have diverse personalities. Sure, you got the really cool hero and the dorky side kick with the really angry guy who hates who but is part of your team... and so on.

I know it's hard to make original things. I have a tough time too. I've got all these ideas in my head that i want to use right now, but once i choose one and expand, I can't find a solid plot. I've been looking at comics for inspiration, browsin' the sites and all. I like the ones that study the psychology of one another in tough situations, those really catch my interest (plus I want to major in psychology, not to be a psychologist but to work with the 'criminal minds' and analyze their thought process).

Digressing... lol

So as I've browsed, I've noticed that there are a bunch of comics with animals. Nothing wrong with that. But there are more involving wolves. Still nothing wrong. But as I read on, all the storylines seem to be the same and I lose interest quickly. Though I did find some that were worth reading and following.

I look at these unoriginal stories and all they really got are characters with markings from outer space. Creative, yeah, somewhat unique and all... but it doesn't work if they all seem to have bland personalities. Because then the reader will only recognize them by their markings (what stands out the most), not by their interesting personalities- they're just shells. They won't be that memorable. Though, those who can come up with unique markings and memorable characteristics, kudos to you!

And what about those plots?! I've read and read and read and all I see are the same basic plot. I mean, some go into different directions and have some intense twists but they all start off the same.

It was a cold, dark stormy night. Two packs are at war. The leader of the protagonist's pack is fighting with his evil brother. Oh no! The good leader was killed! D:
Now this leader's ONLY SURVIVING OFFSPRING -gasp- will have to follow in his footsteps... or so says the prophecy! Yes! This young wolf is the chosen one! S/he will accomplish much more in life.. and go on this epic journey and gather powers of the nature/elements and when s/he returns with hers/his three good friends- Emo, Funny and Useless, and together they'll defeat the evil uncle that killed the father of the protagonist and gain back the leadership of hers/his pack!

Then they become God.

Not to mention the main character has no personality, they're just perfect in every way. Or they're so scarred by their past they're emotional and brooding all the time. Or they have this special power within them that makes them these hardcore killers and they go crazy and slaughter everything then start bitcin' about how bad ass and horrible they are when the get all hardcore and furious... or yeah..

The last one surviving from the litter. The ONLY ONE who can save the whole world because everyone else can't do shit. No one cares about the rest of the people. Their gods or whatever don't give a rat's ass about the rest of society. Only the chosen one is capable who's normally a young kid who's got this kick-ass destiny they don't wanna pursue at first but realize that it is INEVITABLE 8D

Because they're special.

And they got powers.

And jet packs.




Now I hate stories with chosen ones that are so predictable it's not even funny.


Can't say I've never had these ideas before. But now I'm trying to lean towards more original ideas, exploring them in depth. I'm not trying to go too far with it though and make it seem way far out there. I'm just trying to make plots with something different in them, something that can catch someone's attention just by a few lines from the dialogue or something.

Just please.. stop saving the world and killing evil uncles.

School has started. Last year of high school. Tough, tough, tough. I'm already behind and it's just the first day. Doing that two year International Bac program, it's required in my school. If you don't know what that is, let's just say it's worse than APs.

Enough of that. I should be more active on here. But since I hardly have any time to complete anything, I'll just be posting some of my sketches and doodles. Just to give you guys something to look at and make my gallery a little more active.

I mean, it'd be a whole lot nicer if people did that. Just a little info for ya people who ignore commenting the artwork. ;D

It all started last Tuesday. (Be prepared for a rant thing, I don't want pity... I just feel like typing it out... Let's just say I'm trying to make people feel better aobut their day because I KNOW mine is worse than theirs...)

Last Tuesday I was in Drivers Ed. 8 hours of stuff I already know and gruesome videos. I made some new friends, we went out to eat lunch... and yeah that was fun. The class wasn't all that bad, I just got restless. Anyways, when my mom picked me up she yelled at me for listenning to music while she was talking to me, but that's understandable XD But I don't like to talk much in the car, I just love to listen to music and fall asleep.


ANYWAYS... She tells me that my cousin has been missing since Saturday night. I was shocked. We hardly knew anything then. Later on we figured out that it had something to do with her mom and step-father. It gets more complicated but yeah.

Afterwards, on Wedsenday, one of my good friends I made this last year was moving back to France. He was only here for a year, his english was awesome and he was the coolest frenchie I ever met. But now he's gone and I miss him D:

If that's not depressing enough, on Saturday I went to go visit my aunt and grandparents. My aunt and I went out for lunch and had a nice time. Then she tells me that the cat that lives down the street, Hercules, was found on the curb... dead. Now even though he wasn't mine, but a neighbor's, I loved that cat to death. The neighbor offered him to me but my mom said I can either have him or a dog, and he was an outdoor cat and if he lived with me he'd have to live inside because of all the coyotes. He was happy there so I got a dog instead (two years ago). But whenever I'd visit he would come over and I'd pet him. He liked to sharpen his claws on my jeans, it hurt but I'd let him to it XD
Also, he was very protective, strong and large. He looks like my cat (fursona) just much more muscular. He was like a dog in a cat's body. And he was young. I was so sad, but I resisted crying.

I thought that that would be the end of my bad luck streak.... but...

There was some good news. Missing cousin called, grandparents and aunt flew up there. So my visit was cut short. And my grandpa was released from the hospital.

Anyways. The morning they left, my mom's boyfriend picked me up. Suddenly my mom calls and right away she asked 'Did you have anything valuable in the back seat? An iPod?' I told her no. Then I asked why. So she told me.

Some stupid freakin' idiot broke into my mom's car and stole my old CD player (don't care that much) and ALL of my CDs. ALL OF THEM. ALL 30+ OF THEM. ALL FREAKIN' 30+ OF THEM. I was shocked. I didn't even put them all on iTunes yet because my old computer had them all but that broke down so I lost all my music once before (the ones I bought). Now... ALL OF MY CDs ARE GONE.

When I met up with me mom. I stood there for a moment, then tears just ran down my face. I hardly noticed. Then I sucked it up and used tissue to blow my nose and went to have lunch.

Crap ass week, if you ask me. So you think you have it tough, eh?

I can write a whole novel about that week! It'd be depressing, and it'd probably make you pity me. Yep.


I can officially say that I have the WORST luck EVER. You know how they say that there's always someone suffering more than you? Well I hope not, I'd feel really bad for that person.

Yep. Crappy year. Crappy summer. It's probably gonna be a crappy school year too. Isn't my life fun and exciting? I mean, who has experienced a missing cousin, a sick grandpa, a dead cat and no music all in one week?

It feels like I lost two family members in one week. I feel horrible. Though things are looking a bit brighter. But since I'm such a pessemist, I have a feeling that bright light shining down on me will dim very quickly.


And to think... I'm not even out of school. I hardly know what the real world is like, but I think I got a taste of it.

Wow this is long. I highly doubt any would read this whole freakin' thing. But whatever, their choice.

And I haven't posted anything. Why? My scanner is being retarded. And I've just been caught up with other things, I guess. I took a film class and now I'm inspired to make a cheesy movie.
I've animated a bit, maybe I'll post something on here.

The most recent picture I posted, Golden Memories... well I worked really hard on it and I used a program I've never used before. I was quite proud and I was hoping to get some meaningful comments/critique. But instead:

3. Please comment on the picture and not spamming with questions. Note me if you have a question.

I worked really hard on that picture and all I get are these comments that aren't even about the picture or that say stuff that doesn't mean anything to me!
I'm quite upset at the moment. Do I really have to post in the description 'PLEASE NO CRAPPY COMMENTS'? Why can't people just figure that out on their own.

This is an art website. People post stuff to get comments/critiques. Many are trying to improve and hope they'll get advice from others so they can get better. I don't give a fuck if you read the series or not, I don't give a fuck if you think it's so fucking damn cute.

WHy should I even bother putting up art if all I get are the same comments? Or comments that aren't even on the picture but that are directed to the description.

I might just go on hiatus again. I really feel like no one really thinks that my art is worth commenting on. Saying, 'that's cute' doesn't really say much. It just makes me think that you have nothing else better to say so you say that.

Retrieving Art Theft Team (Sorry for crappiness. Name might change... if I can come up with a better one XD)

What is R.A.T.T?

Well it's a small little organization that I came up with five minutes ago. I don't know how effective it will be, I just want to catch those art thieves and report them. I know it is nearly impossible to stop Art Theft, but it's worth a try.

I've been seeing many rants about art theft in journal entries. Why do people steal art? They're so stupid they don't even remove the water marks or signatures. Wow... seriously, you think art thieves would be a bit smarter? They're probably just immature and envious of other artists. Well too bad. Some people have to realize that drawing takes practice. I didn't learn how to draw in one day, it took me years. Now I am proud that I can draw well, I'm not perfect but I just keep on practicing. All you thieves do is steal others art and claim them as your own.

Doing EXPERIMENTS. I've seen this too. People steal art and claim that they were doing an 'experiment' to see how other's would react. WTF? That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. That's just an excuse, don't believe them. They're just being asses and trying to get their sorry little asses out of trouble.

So basically this R.A.T.T. thing is for scouting art thieves and reporting them to me or some other member (if this whole thing goes well) and we take screenshots, scratch the name and leave nasty comments on the screenies. Also we'll report them for art theft! Okay, so this may sound dumb... and something like this probably already exists... but whatever. It's just an idea, if people would like to be apart of it then we can make it happen. If no one cares then I guess it was just another one of my bad ideas.

I just needed to update the journal.

Oh! And I thank all who left me 'one-word comments'. I really appreciate it, I mean is THAT ALL YOU CAN SAY ABOUT MY WORK?

'It's cute' Hahaha, thanks.. but I'm sick of those comments. Before I could tolerate them but now I'm just sick of it. Those comments tell me nothing, if you're going to leave comments like that then don't even bother to comment at all!

Like my newest work, my animation of the gray kitty running... I worked so freakin' hard on it and it took me so long and all you can say is 'cute'?!!! 'Run kitty run!' Come on, I really want more than that. I don't understand how a developping artist can deal with comments like those. Do I really have to put 'contructive criticism please' in every picture's description? Don't people do it naturally? I guess not...

Before it was fine, but now I'm starting to get annoyed. They're hardly comments at all, they're just little messages being left that have NO mean WHATSOEVER.

I am here to show art and try to improve. I hope that when people leave me comments they could tell me how to improve, or just leave longer comment about how much they like it or how much they hate it. Even if you hate my artwork don't just say 'i hatee it, yo usuck!' GIVE ME A DAMN REASON!

I really don't appreciate the comments I'm getting at the moment. They're practically worthless, they mean nothing... if everyone says 'cute' all the time it just gets tiring. Is that really all you can say about my art? If it is then I have failed as an artist...

I am feeling stressed/worried/angry/depressed/nervous and anything else you can think of!

Okay, if you don't want to hear me rant then don't read this. I am not in a very good mood right now so I feel like ranting. The following may contain some harsh language. You have been warned!

First off, I have tons of homework for tomorrow. Math, Biology, French, History and English. Math is three hard exercises, Biology is long and hard, French is creative writing 50 lines, History is do research for IA and find all sources, English is research a debate that makes no sense. I'm not even sure what I'm debating about, this teacher makes me to so mad!!! She's not a good teacher!

My computer DIED. Yes, it DIED. I'm using my mom's computer. I don't know when I'll get a new one so I won't be posting up any art anytime soon.

My grandpa is still in the hospital/home thing, he's doing alirght but I'm still worried.

I have mid-terms. I never get a break! I go to a PRIVATE school. I'm not supposed to have any fucking mid-terms! Never in my life have I had a mid-term. This year is the first year! last year was the Brevet (if you go to a french school you'll know what I'm talking aobut). I have to worry about that all freakin' year, it's a huge test ong math, history and french litterature! it's all the stuff you learn in 9th grade. This year was supposed to be a more relaxing year before I had to start worrying aobut doing the IB and stuff. Now I have mid-terms? My school is crazy! Mid-terms last half a day for four days, and we don't even get the rest of the day off. We have to attend to normal classes. So that's mid-terms plus a shit load of homework!

WTF?????????????????????????????????????????????????

I am going to have a nervous breakdown. I'm trying hard to keep myself calm. I just hope I can get past this week without any tears ad nervous breakdowns. I'm not really that fragile.. but this is just crazy. I've never had to deal with this before.

Today, I also tripped over a stair step and his the edge of the step with my knees. Those were wooden stairs. I wasn't being careful cuz I was kind of excited then I fell. Now my knees are all blue and red.

I've just been stressed lately and I'm upset. I can't stand this!!! This is just crazy, my school is really pushing their student to the limit. So much pressure and whatnot. They think we have no lives so they can give us a bunch of homework and tests. This years really didn't start off well. Every problem from last year was dragged out to this year.

I've decided to go on hiatus for awhile. I'm kind of forced to anyways. I don't have a computer so no art from me. I've lost flash so no animations. I've lost all my files which makes me a depressed artist. School is putting pressure on me so not much free time. I really don't have a choice here. I'll be on briefly everyday or so to check up on new art and stuff but don't expect me to comment on every picture. I'll only be checking stuff so my message box doesn't get filled.

So it's official, I'm going on hiatus until things start to look up... and if it doesn't anytime soon...well...

But well... I guess I'm unlucky.

So.... yeah, can't animate. But I can still make comics off of my flash ideas, but it' not the same if you know what I mean.

I've also been sad because of family stuff. My grandpa is in the hospital. He wasn't doing so well earlier this week but now he's recovering and holding on. I'm just constantly worried.

And my mom limited my time on the comp to an hour a day and two hours on the weekend cuz she isn't satisfied with my B average in school. She says I can do better and I need to spend less time on the comp so art will be coming slower. I know I still have lotsa prizes to draw up and color. Sorry for the wait you guys.

I'm not in the happiest mood at the moment. I've been happier... XD But well... I guess everyone has their ups and downs. Maybe one day I can animate again but it just seems like a distant dream... I want my flash program back!!!

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh.............. yeah... you must be wondering how I lost my flash program... well that I have no clue. Once my comp died and I lost everything I forgot where my flash program was and I've been looking for it ever since. But things don't seem to be turning out so well. I guess it's my own fault for misplacing it, but it's gotta be somewhere around my house unless the cleaners thought it was an empty box and threw it away. I hope not...

So no more animations D< Just when I was enjoying it!!! Argh... I'm frustrated...

Info: This contest will be based off of my comic that I am creating now. And well... it seemed a bit empty on secondary characters. I tried thinking of some but I kinda got a writer's/artist block XD So I decided to make a contest!

Name of comic: City Lights (I finally found a name XD)

A little bit about the comic: My comic is about a young cat who is left with his siblings in a box by their parents. Soon adopted and taken home, the young cat, Chase, discovers that he really belongs in the city and returns. He stays in a group of cats led by Thomas whom is one of the seven leaders of the Great Colony. He must learn how to survive in the city and will encounter many dangers and new friends. He even befriends a few dog packs that roam the city.Will young Chase survive in the city? Will he ever see his long lost siblings again? Find out in the comic!

What I am looking for is a dog or cat character that is basically a stray in the city. If yo got a spare character that is a cat or a dog, you can use them. Or you can just make a new one.

Rules:

1) I want a character that is normal. Don't go extreme with the markings and accessories.
2) Please stick to a breed. If it's a tabby, make it look like a tabby. If it's a German Shepherd, make it look like one. I would also like variety... not just huskies, shepherds... less popular breeds would be cool!
3) I want them to look normal. Mutts are allowed.. so yeah
4) This will not only be judged by the picture, it'll be judged on how creative it is.
5) No characters that are twins or have split personalities... I already have characters like those in the comic XD
6) They can't also be undead. These characters must be living... if you want i can kill them off in the series XD j/k... so yeah, they gotta just be pretty normal.. and alive.
7) Characters can be on either side, good or bad.
8) No wolves or coyotes please. As much as I love em they won't be featured in this comic.

Info: This contest will be based off of my comic that I am creating now. And well... it seemed a bit empty on secondary characters. I tried thinking of some but I kinda got a writer's/artist block XD So I decided to make a contest!

Name of comic: City Lights (I finally found a name XD)

A little bit about the comic: My comic is about a young cat who is left with his siblings in a box by their parents. Soon adopted and taken home, the young cat, Chase, discovers that he really belongs in the city and returns. He stays in a group of cats led by Thomas whom is one of the seven leaders of the Great Colony. He must learn how to survive in the city and will encounter many dangers and new friends. He even befriends a few dog packs that roam the city.Will young Chase survive in the city? Will he ever see his long lost siblings again? Find out in the comic!

What I am looking for is a dog or cat character that is basically a stray in the city. If yo got a spare character that is a cat or a dog, you can use them. Or you can just make a new one.

Rules:

1) I want a character that is normal. Don't go extreme with the markings and accessories.
2) Please stick to a breed. If it's a tabby, make it look like a tabby. If it's a German Shepherd, make it look like one. I would also like variety... not just huskies, shepherds... less popular breeds would be cool!
3) I want them to look normal. Mutts are allowed.. so yeah
4) This will not only be judged by the picture, it'll be judged on how creative it is.
5) No characters that are twins or have split personalities... I already have characters like those in the comic XD
6) They can't also be undead. These characters must be living... if you want i can kill them off in the series XD j/k... so yeah, they gotta just be pretty normal.. and alive.
7) Characters can be on either side, good or bad.
8) No wolves or coyotes please. As much as I love em they won't be featured in this comic.
9) Have fun!

SETUP: here's how I want it to be set up. This contest is not just based on the looks of the character but how his/her personality is.

Name: Please give the name of the character
Age: please give the age of the character. if you don't know, just put down 'unknown'
Breed: Please state the breed(s) It can be a mutt.
History: I would like to know some history of the character. Where they came from. Were they abandoned? How they came to be a part of the colony or dog pack. This can be 3 sentences minimum.
Side: Which side are they on? Good or bad? Good as in the great colony, led by Ray. There is this dog pack that is good too... and bad as in the bad cats or bad dogs in smaller packs and colonies.
Personality: Tell me about them ^^

PRIZES

1st place: They get two picturess fully colored with background of two of their characters.

2nd place: They get one picture fully colored with background of their characters.

3rd place: They get one picture fully colored character, simple background.

4th place: They get one picture fully colored character, solid or faded colored background

5th: They get one picture fully colored character no background.

And OMG! I lost flash.. I gotta find it... or else I can't animate anymore.. but this is off subject, so yeah... let's get to the real news.


I was thinking about making another contest. But I dun wanna do it if people won't join. Last time I did a contest, people said they would join.. and I only got one entry last time -.-

So if no one will participate it'll be pointless. So before I make a contest I am asking all my watchers/friends if they will join.
