Before we begin

Just before I go into the requests I'll give you a mild update.

Haven't really been doing much digital drawing (that can go on dA anyway) so apologies for the lack of submissions (I know you guys must be unable to function without me :0 .
Been trying to get some time to myself lately, but that seems rather impossible xD I'll set a day or... three aside soon to recooperate.

Lots of sketching going on, lots of ideas floating around (infact a totally new idea for fighting game characters, all in good fun) so I'll get something posted soon.
Would anyone object to a sketch dump file?

Final Fantasy XI

As some of you already know, I got back into this game about a week ago.
I swore I never would but... frankly I'm more mature to handle some aspects of the game now xD

I managed to reactivate my old character Kyushun (where my dA name came from hurr ) back on my old haunt the Unicorn server :3.
I want to make another character to stick on the Sylph server, few folks on here seem to be up there :0

Holidaying

WELP. Got back from a week in a countryside town (Boyle) at and his girlfriends place :3

I've just realised the I've four months of no job, but I'll still have a little money for some fun. But not every single day. Staying at home WILL drive me completely insane.

That drawing funk

Well I'm starting to get out of that weird little funk I was in where I hated everything I did in terms of drawing. It's all mostly down to dA bastardizing everything ever.

Anyway I'm back into drawing again. I just thought for a while there; "This drawing business is pointless for me, I'm not going to do anything with it for a career so I'm wasting my time. Need to grow up."
Though I'm pretty sure I can just accept doodling on the side for kicks.

Trying to broaden my horizons though. I've been trying drawing animals and some still life here and there. Been considering trying out a life drawing session too.

First though, in other news

College finishing for the year soon. I'll have plenty of free time given the current situation with jobs in this country :/

Drawing, heavily modifying my room at home (considering I'll be living here a while longer it seems), getting a custom built desktop etc, etc.

Would like to do some trades or something over the summer. Lately I've been in a drawing funk and trying new stuff might get me out of it. Drawing characters isn't exactly ideal but if they aren't mind I'm not critical or anything like that so it might help!

We'll see what happens

I won one from the GameSoc at college. It's an interesting little gizmo. Reminds me a lot of the old GameBoy camera which is a nice nostalgia bomb :3

Odins Eye

Remember I was taking part in 's comic tournament? Well I submitted my comic to my scraps section...

I'm afraid I kind of lost my drive for it. I grew to really hate Stripes as I had him in it. Also I had that little drawing crisis over the last three weeks so that didn't really help. Sorry about kinda... dropping out like I have.
I've uploaded this for 's sake as they did a great job with theirs and I thought it unfair to not make an effort myself, then not show it.

It's six rushed pages I did about three weeks ago now, only got them together now. Being rushed and poorly planned little of it will make sense, so for anyone curious it'll be explain belowe.

Anyway the explaination of what I was going for.

Be warned this is bloody ass long and many of you will not want to bother so I'll indicate where it ends

<sub>Stripes originally entered the tournament for the kicks, no real goal of purpose. His power drawn from is alternate personalities was key for his battles.

The mirror arena is basically his nightmare. While being completely self absorbed, Stripes once never thought this. Deep down Stripes knows that he isn't perfect, he doesn't really think he's beautiful or special in anyway, so he has a gigantic front for it that basically has become him.

Upon remembering all this Stripes begins to break down, and remember why being perfect is so important to him. A lost love who Stripes saw as utter perfection. Flipping out he goes to attack blindly. being more than ready and aiming Stripes power appears to fade as he returns to his weak powerless costume, symbolizing his own personality returning to him.

Course getting shot and... surviving it makes him realise in the height of his emotional stress, that he doesn't have to change personalities to use his power, it's actually his own.

The comic stopped here but for anyone curious (dunno why I'm an awful writer) where I was going with it is posted next.

Busy, busy, busy

Oh god... right I've a lot to be doing. To give you an impression of all I need to get done this side of March;

College
Project A; Research the architechture of a portable device or games console and make a presntation about it. (Easy but rather dull) Due a week from Friday
Project B; Make a flash based image gallery. (At least it'll be kinda fun) Due late March
Project C; Make a training clip using projectile forumlae in some way. (Possibly the vaguest one) Due in a week or two, it's still bullshit
Project D; Make a flash that has something to do with 3D models, some videos and some research text stuff... (It's hard to explain but it's a rather demanding project) Due late March
Project E; Make a java script website for the above flash where users can upload videos and content (fairly small but it's technically a part of Project D) Due late March
Presentation; I have to make one tomorrow morning with a friend about a project we kinda botched... wish us luck.

Comics
Maintain TNBT comics; As if this wasn't hard enough at times D:
Round 2 of BFOE; I have NO IDEA how I'm going to pull this one off

Other
Survive Commuting to college with all of the above in mind; seriously, leaves me with no time

I don't really have anytime for my personal life (unless you count the comics which I do) in all of this. College work take priority. I'm in for a great month.

Yeah... this is going to be fucking fun... at least three of the projects are in groups of two so I'm not alone doing them. Fuck though so much work. They're all worth a heafty amount of my final grade too.

Dunno what it is really, I'm looking foward to seeing some family friends I haven't seen in a while but as far as Christmas goes... nyeh I really haven't been into it this year, last year I was all high spirited like I used too but, eh, oh well I don't really mind, I love all the gaudy and sparkly decorations and time off x3

...having said that I really just want the holiday season to be done with. I'd like to get back into the college habit. I messed up with buying presents this year actually :< Moneys been a little tight so far and I messed up with my savings Some folk are still waiting on presents I is sorreh! ¦<

I want snow >.< I was ice-skating last week which is always nice! Snow would totally make this season much more enjoyable, this country fuckin' sucks for that kinda thing!

Got lots of college projects :/ Yeah... this college business ain't gettin' any easier at the moment. Christmas holidays coming up soon, next week and I'm off until the 5th of January! Granted I'll have projects to do...

Jail broke my wii, got Sonic Unleashed, Megaman 9 and Castlevania Judgement.
Sonic Unleashed is so disgustingly bad I shudder enough to drop my controller :/, Megaman 9 is fantastically hard, I love it and Castlevania Judgement, while a little limited in terms of a fighting game, is quite fun. I enjoy being able to play as a cooler version of Cornell against that ponce Alucard :3

Londonland

So I was on Holidays since Monday!
Sorry for not saying so! I came back to so many messages I didn't really around to commenting on many deviations & journals. Forgive meh!! :<

But omg, London was amazing! Me, and two friends of ours were there since Monday, we only got back yesterday. I bought so much! Really cut into my bank account :3
London for shopping; > Dublin.
In fact in most things; London > Dublin.

Day one we went around Picadilly and found Trocadero! Which I find out now used to have SEGA World in it!! o.o
My dream as a child was to go there but it closed down... so it turns out I was walking across it's grave in the best arcade I've ever been in x3
And it had a shop called TokyoToys! It sold so much japanesesy and mangaish stuff! We bought way, way, WAY too much Pocky
Later we went to Harrods and bought us all Plushies! omfgbbq <3
Two little Wolves, one white (Lunus) the other silver (Chrome) and I got myself a white bunny (Gibson)!

Day two was Madame Tussades! Wax models of win! We got so many hilarious photos! Later on we went to the London Dungeons which was awesome! It went through a live acted horror based history of London, the plague, the fire, jack the ripper etc. It was creepy but I love horror and the likes so I wasn't too scared... course the others formed a line behind me to protect them it seemed x3
The front of the boat was fun huh ZK?

Day three... AVENUE Q!!
We went to see Avenue Q in The West End! It was incredible! Best show I've ever seen! Just... omg.
"Buying in Bulk saves money in the long run! YAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!"

We also went to the Science Museum in the morning, which was awesome too! Really interesting stuff there! Saw a working Pegasus Vaccume Tube Computer... I was amazed.

tl;dr: London is fucking epic.

On the DA related side of things

I've got a lot of ideas in my head for drawings. Many cute, some serious, much TNBT related and some requests that will be finished.

Working on getting a tablet that showed me! It looks amazing! I just have to get my tax credits sorted first

Unrelated Really

College starts back up come Monday! I CAN'T WAIT!!
I loved first year so I can't wait to get into second year, I enjoy my course so much and everyone'll be there and it'll be a blast!
Hopefully my schedule won't be too intense and I'll still get drawing done!

Where's the devs?

Haven't been submitting as much as I'd like recently. Work and other such commitements have been holding me down D: Haven't gotten much CG based work done in a while as TNBT takes priority.

Though I do have some sketches I like that will be done soon. 's wrist is back in action and has a graphics tablet now so the work load for the comic has become spread out once again.

Code Geass

I highly recommended this animé a while back but... holy crap, it's plot is so incredibly intreguing! It's insane what goes on and the latest epsiode has just... wow.

Seriously if you liked anything about Death Note, and/or like giant robots and don't mind mild politics check it out. It might be for you.

It's seriously blown my mind away.

Absence

So I've been in Paris all week on Holiday! Sorry for not saying and not commenting all week but I kinda left it last minute to get packed etc... Stupid job (who... paid for the trip... and gets me money...)

Great being in Paris again, I was there like seven years ago and it's more beautiful then I remember
Only disapointing part was there isn't really a night life. Could go on pub crawls. Sauvage time there. Though all my French returend to me on the last day!

So one of the guys stretched a ligament when we were there when acting the maggot with another guy and fell hard. I was chatting to his nurse and doctor in French (wtf they could actually understand me.), next day a nice Spanish couple who owned the bakery down the road from us get chatting with me (once again wtf they could understand me?!).

So I've been through all my messages now and like I'm up to speed, though I didn't get around to commenting, and I'll get onto why now.

Webcomic

The site is ready, the comics for the first four updates all good, the next two strips almost done. The site was supposed to be up by this stage, but Comic Genesis turned out to be the most overrated webcomic host ever and it's isolated the pages after making me recode the file arrangement and the likes...

So we're in some hosting problems now. I'd rather not look for another place to host, but it seems Comic Genesis doesn't like it too much when you have a premade site.

I looked into Xepher, they seem pretty good. But I'm not finding any better alternatives besides random freehosts but they kind of... well they have their limitations.

Idealy we should have our own server but we lack the means & the brains to do that. I haven't the first clue how to set up a server... Though maybe we can find out? If anyone has any advice to give let me know, here on DA, through email, notes whatever please if you can help do There might even be a gift art for it!

Been a while since I bothered posting something semi-relivant here!

Job

So well I've been kinda busy rececntly, looking for jobs etc... and I think I've got a breakthrough! A Centra not far from me is giving me some job training today, said they were interested in giving me a shot at working in the store. Doesn't mean I've got the job for sure but... hell let's see how it goes! I admit I'm a little nervous :/ I'm heading off in just under an hour.

Webcomic

Our webcomic is going well! Though unfortunately the three of us had simultanious art & writers block x_x combined with 's getting randomly ill, 's home's distance from the rest of us and my random emotional shifts.
We're back on track though! I just need to find the time to sketch more! We have the ideas I just need to draw xD

Video Games

A quick one here on games I've played in the last month or two.

MGS4 is amazing and anyone who has a chance should try it out! Keeps with the same highstandard of gameplay and story telling and is a great finale.

Phoenix Wright. How have I not played these games sooner?! They're so good I've been playing the first one on the DS and it's so fun!

Advance wars Days of Ruin/Dark Conflict. I seriously think this is a step in the right direction for Advance Wars. The whole, slightly more realistic setting and plot, makes the game a whole lot less childish. It becomes a bit of a grind when you get far in story mode for a while but you just have to come up with new tactics and stuff like that.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core. Best 2D fighting game ever, go but it now. Only thing that will best it is Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus (which will never be out in Europe...)

The weathers been pretty good too so it's looking like a good Summer (is now expecting lots of rain). Easter?
Negative I guess, not complaining just doesn't seem to cheery.

I really did forget o_O;
I mean I remembered later in the day down to my Grandmother coming for dinner and an easter egg from my aunt.

Here at my house we don't do alot of holidays. I mean easter holds nothing for me on any level. I like chocolate but not in excess and I have no religious ties to the holiday so there's nothing there for me. It's the same with the whole house though.
I mean my mum doesn't like mothers day, my dad HATES fathers day, Patricks day is an excuse to go out (like I need one), we bearly do Christmas anymore .
I like Halloween though... cuz I'm lame :3

At work he marshals karting races and stuff like that. Today during a race he had to run out and grab a stray wheel that had rolled onto the track. Now he had to grab it fast.
Anyway he had to flag too guys to go around him... one chaps brakes apparently died and he clipped my friends foot rather badly. He had trouble walkin' for a little while and he's cool now... good thing we didn't have to get him out to hospital... that mighta been hard for me and his sister to explain to his parents 8D;;;

Valentines, has got to be the biggest sham of a holiday ever. All it does is; make people feel obliged to do something for their loved ones, when they should just be able to show affection when ever they want without the media telling them they must, and for the people who don't have someone 'special' for Valentines day, it makes them feel insigificant.

I for one am spending the day with my friends because we can. Staying away from couples as much as possible... if we run into any we're going to be as negative as possible about the holiday.

But I digress.

If there is one good thing about this "holiday" it's that I get the day of college for some reason.

I did my first art trade the other day with someonel from college. I really enjoyed it I have to say! It was fun drawing her characters and I loved how she captured mine!

Quest for improvement!
Welp while cleaning my room I pulled out the ol' "Art Box"! Wow... talk about a trip down memory lane. I've got the last three years of drawings in there. It was very nostalgic. Reminded me of all the things that happened in the last three years that inspired some of the pictures. Alot of crap work in there but there's some gold dust in the dirt. Like an old pirate based comic I did to practice action sequences! I don't think I've done an action scene since that short comic... I'm even thinking about continuing it! Madness! Hehe.

So yeah... shame this is a negative one but it really is. I'm not in my usual Christmas over the top mood =/ Haven't been able to get into it. It hasn't been the best year family wise so that could be it. Maybe I'm just getting old and cynical. Meh.
To top it off I got home earlier and my dad just handed me my Christmas present (money) and I can spend it now... really killed my spirit.
Haven't gotten a Christmas tree yet, really want one... maybe if I get that my mood will shift.

Okay, I don't know wtf but as soon as I came in the door, I've been tired all day, I was out late last night, woke up early, remembered I told a friend I'd help her with housework at her place. So I was knackered coming in the door. My mum asks me to get her a paper towel from the kitchen. No problem! I went to get it, put my stuff down and forgot about the towel and went back into the living room and I was reminded, I paused (from tiredness) and went back to get it, as soon as I was out the door my dad calls to me and says; "Are you stoned?!"... WTF? D: I get this from my parents so much! I mean... urg... they both assume so much sometimes =/
I'm just peeved about that. Mostly because I'm tired and cranky also but fuck it.

Okay, so I've got a few projects for college. One is to make a website and another involves researching how "Web publishing enhances democracy" D=
Well anyway, the hard part of the website one is... I dunno what to make it of! x_X;
I've had an idea that I could just make an 'art' site to showcase my CG's work, Flashes and Sketches.
Only issue with that one is that I have no idea how to get text content onto it beyond an 'about the artist' page. Anyone have any ideas?

The research one should be okay as me and the team have an interview set up and stuff. I also trust my team mates judgement but I'm worried I'll become dead weight . But researching this topic on the internet has proved kinda difficult =/.

I'm also new to this kinda project work so... I'm kinda nervous cos of it T^T

Halloween

Welp! Halloween is over! I dressed up as a pirate in the end lol Went to a nice bar wiff muh fruiends :> Had fun, drank lots of rum... srsly o.O Bar lady told me off for not drinking it at the start of the night xD No pumpkin in the end... ahwell.

Supprisingly low amount of fireworks around where I live this year, then again I went out so... But it didn't seem like there was alot.

All in all I enjoyed it! Hope people got from the day what they wanted ^^

So now we're into a new month, Winter knocking on the door... =3 I like this month for some reason, it's the one I usually forget about so maybe I feel like I neglect it? lol I like Winter too, most of the time... my central heating system has done it's annual Winter shutdown. As soon as the weather gets cold it breaks down xD Ah well someone's coming to fix it anyways

I am really stressed out right now, no idea why. Well OpenCanvas 4.5 plus is suckage on windows vista >_> That could be it. It's just way to different, everything is really compressed even though my screen is big and the resolution is fine. Also the tool to make your own brushes really easily... well it's not in this version, there's instead an ungodly complex compared to how easy I found the old OC I had D=
Can't seem to find OC1 either T-T

Managed to get the graphics tablet I have to actually work, but really the pen is just so bad you want to stab yourself in the eye with it

Which is really annoying considering I've been trying to draw a Halloween themed pic or just pics of Paige that I can get onto deviant art.

It's great... VERY TIRED THOUGH lol

E-activity

I really don't have that much free time to be commenting or logging onto MSN messenger.
Social life and College life is pretty time consuming. Not to mention commuting for all this.
I can check out how many messages I have in my watch and stuff (but can't view them) at college, the computers all run on IE 5.01 and it's really slow =/ The latest version of Firefox is getting set up on them soon apparently... couldn't happen faster.

Right... WHY?! Dear god why is it allowed to exist anymore... it's upsetting. People should only use it if they have literally no choice or are going to be shot for using a different browser. This week and last week I have been stuck using it at college and... Christ it's just painful trying to get it working, colleges internet is pretty fast (T2 connection, it's pretty good considering location, etc...) so it's not that... IE is just... really bad, I tried using a newer version of it even... it's still terrible.
If you are using IE and have the choice to get any other browser; DO IT
I mean it almost brings tears to my eyes how bad it is.

Breast Cancer
So yeah I would make this journal part of the whole pinkness think but I'm not subscribed so I guess this goes here. Cancer awareness things really get my attention, Cancer's a pretty serious issue in my family. I have a generally pessimistic attitude to it after the last cancer related death in the family. So yeah... ironicly I don't donate much to these causes. I buy the ribbons and wristbands when I see em but I never do see em =/
But yeah I'm totally on board the Breast Cancer weekend (even if this is after the fact). If it helps I did draw something pink related just didn't submit it It was mostly reused stuff from old flash movies and pics though.

Life
I am sinfully bored right now. Not bothered playing any video games I have right now and there's nothing TV wise I'd like to be watching =/ I would like to be drawing...

Art
Can't seem to draw at all recently. I've gotten out about one sketch that I like it the past two weeks. Really dead for it recently, with the tablet pretty fucked I can't really do anything on the comp either =/
Also only focusing on the negative of my style and quality. And the fact I only draw characters in poses (rarely interacting) I think I should really try get that comic going properly but the tablet is too messed up to do it without wanting to kill someone.
I think I could really use a hectic FPS game like counter strike or a Fighting game like Tekken but I lack moneys =[

My Debs was on Monday, that was really great! Had alot of fun seeing people from school who I hadn't seen in ages. Karaoke was much hilarity =3 "DONNNNNNNN'T STOP! BELIEVEIN'!!!" etc etc...

College
I'm going to be doing Computing in Multimedia out in a college called IADT, pretty awkward for me to get too but meh.
I go in Wednesday for Registration and orientation and then again on Thursday and Friday for more of the same, student union and the likes.
Official jargen scares me D= I had trouble understanding some of the forms I've been sent . I have a fair amount of things to organise before classes start so I gotta hurry it up!

My Graphics Tablet just lost another piece of itself =/ One of the rubber bits to hold it still when it's set down on the desk... so it slides all over the desk space now >_< And since it's my mouse pad also... well now I'm in a predicament
