I am proud to announce the big relaunch of The Last of the Polar Bears. As you may recall, The Last of the Polar Bears is my online graphic novel about a mother polar bear and her two cubs and their struggle to survive in the warming Arctic of the near future.

It's been a long journey getting to this point. I began work on The Last of the Polar Bears in 2009, researching polar bears and the arctic extensively, plotting the story in detail, designing the characters, and storyboarding the complete book. Now I am hard at work illustrating the pages.

Just a reminder that issue 96 of Sabrina the Teenage Witch comes out next week, August 27th, at your local comic book store (if they don't have it, yell at them for not stocking it). You'll be able to find it on newsstands (book stores, grocery stores) the following week, September 9th, 2008. I worked on the issue as penciler. Writer Tania del Rio packs a lot of drama and adventure in every issue, so be sure to check it out. I think you'll enjoy it. :)

I can't believe last month went by so quickly! I had a whole month off from working on Sabrina, but I still kept myself plenty busy. It took me about a week to move into my new place. I'm living back up in Altamonte Springs again. The rent is more affordable, and the location's great. It's just a bike ride away from the bookstore, Best Buy, a number of grocery stores, a nature trail, Target, and more. I've been doing a 2 mile bike ride every morning since I got here. Only bad thing is that I live on the second story, so I have to lug my bike up and down steps every time. Ergh~!

Help Save Peach Fuzz!

Regretfully, TokyoPop has decided to pass on my proposal for a Peach Fuzz volume 4. This is heartbreaking, because even though Jared and I set up volume 3 to have a solid ending, we still have so much more we wanted to do with the series, and the characters all have very rich back stories that we want to share.

Let's not give up hope yet though! Although it seems a stretch, my hope is that in a year or two, things will be different, and I can submit another proposal for a volume 4. How can you help, you ask?

Anime Festival Orlando 8

Anime Festival Orlando was a lot of fun this year. Had a great time meeting and greeting with everyone. You gals and guys are all so sweet! Our table was slightly isolated from the rest of artist alley, so sales weren't as strong this year, but we still managed to sell out of Peach Fuzz books (by mid-Saturday, I started buying copies of Peach Fuzz from our friends at Waldenbooks so we could have a couple extra to set on the table). ^_^

Okay guys - Mangaka America! It's out in bookstores now! The official release date is November 1st, but I just spotted a copy at my local Borders tonight.
