In this world of technological advances in digital imagery, traditional art does not seem to be as actively pursued as it once was. It is my fervent hope that it never becomes a lost art.

However, I have a deep appreciation for images that are in black and white, particularly photographs. The shadow play adds a dimension to the pictures that charms my eyes. It is also a lesson in how to use colors to achieve the shading that these black and white photos show.

Apparent in many of my works is my fondness for the female form. The feminine beauty of women is compelling, and I think I will always find them extremely appealing.

There are so many different styles and types of art that we view on deviantART. A multitude of artists share their creativity and works, and we are awed by what our eyes take in.

Yet, there is an art that is not represented here...and understandably so. This is a visual community. But, how many artists here have perhaps found inspiration from this person? How many might have even worked on paintings while listening to the Maestro? His artwork was not put on canvas; it instead filled our ears and soul.

My whole work is characterized by a poetic use of imagery. Themes such as nostalgia, enigma, eroticism, and myth are explored, sometimes in connection with ancient legends and sometimes based on the contrast of the real and the fantastic.

Initially my work was figurative, but it developed towards a more abstract style. Lately, figurative elements are re-emerging as symbolic compositions. My art is distinguished by precise and finely executed draughtsmanship of almost photographic exactitude. Even though the paintings have a contemporary look they are too academic in technique. Paint is applied smoothly and evenly in a varied and generally vivid palette that occasionally melts into dark shadows. I have produced large quantities of drawings and paintings that include portraits, surreal environments and abstract compositions. They can be seen in collections worldwide.
