I am a traditional artist. I like to be able to touch my works with my fingers, my brushes, my pencils. The feel of the canvas or paper caresses my heart and soul, brings out my emotions, and captivates my senses. It is said that "home is where the heart is"...and my heart is at home wherever I have my art supplies.

In this world of technological advances in digital imagery, traditional art does not seem to be as actively pursued as it once was. It is my fervent hope that it never becomes a lost art.

There are many outstanding traditional artists on deviantART. This is my salute to a few of them whose drawings are very well-executed, appealing to the eye, and indicative of their superb talent.

As anyone can see from a quick glance at my gallery paintings, I love colors. Be they vivid or muted, I use them in all their glorious hues. I enjoy the challenge of subtly blending one color into another.

However, I have a deep appreciation for images that are in black and white, particularly photographs. The shadow play adds a dimension to the pictures that charms my eyes. It is also a lesson in how to use colors to achieve the shading that these black and white photos show.

Apparent in many of my works is my fondness for the female form. The feminine beauty of women is compelling, and I think I will always find them extremely appealing.
A multitude of artists share their creativity and works, and we are awed by what our eyes take in.

Yet, there is an art that is not represented here...and understandably so. This is a visual community. But, how many artists here have perhaps found inspiration from this person? How many might have even worked on paintings while listening to the Maestro? His artwork was not put on canvas; it instead filled our ears and soul.

With that, I bid a fond farewell to the voice of the century~

I am a self-taught draughtsman, painter, printmaker, and carver of wood. I began to draw at the age of 13, inspired by Hieronymus Bosch's paintings.

"PSYCHE"

My whole work is characterized by a poetic use of imagery. Themes such as nostalgia, enigma, eroticism, and myth are explored, sometimes in connection with ancient legends and sometimes based on the contrast of the real and the fantastic.

"MELTING WOMAN"

Initially my work was figurative, but it developed towards a more abstract style. Lately, figurative elements are re-emerging as symbolic compositions. My art is distinguished by precise and finely executed draughtsmanship of almost photographic exactitude. Even though the paintings have a contemporary look they are too academic in technique. Paint is applied smoothly and evenly in a varied and generally vivid palette that occasionally melts into dark shadows. I have produced large quantities of drawings and paintings that include portraits, surreal environments and abstract compositions. They can be seen in collections worldwide.

"FECUNDITY"

In short, my world is a happy mixture of dream and reality, fantasy and nostalgia, delight in nature, and a genuine love of humanity.
