Imagine the moment u stepped foot onto the army training ground and u gotta hand over your identification card for ur army identification card, u tell urself "2 years here i come. Yea rite. -_-"

But on the contrary, that 2 years might just be my another best time in life. Getting to know more ppl and widening your circle of friends, disciplining yourself while you pump yourself everyday infront of your trainer and transiting from boy to man FULLY. I always have punctuality problem and i hope i will be able to curb the problem during my NS time.

Everything happened beginning on 9 March 2007 afternoon and i had already felt something wasnt rite with someone already. From then, everything felt cold already. The usual SMSes that we spammed across each other, its not there. The laughter, its not there. Where has it gone to?

Paid her a visit to her workplace. Asked if she's OK and she said "still ok". But i can tell u, thats not the end of story. I still felt that something is bogging her down. Sometimes, i really want to ask her directly, put watever that is happening to me across to her. But, im just afraid of a serious backlash. Everything just felt so negative. Wasnt in my best of moods for that one week.

Went on a whole day shoot during the weekend with two of my friends. Purpose being is to numb myself from watever that is happening to me right now. But it didnt help. Thoughts, feelings, confusions, sadness just drifted back into my mind like this. Feeling damn sad now. I felt so useless. I want to help her, but i dunno how. USELESS RITE?

To the someone who is reading this journal entry:

I just want to tell you that i want to help you as much as i can. Be it as your the other half or as a friend, i really want to help you. My doors are open wide enuf for u to shout at, talk to, speak to, rant to. I really hope you can tell me wat is happening to u. But if u dun, i just hope that you dun drag this for too long. It wont do you any good. I hope that you can resume back normally.

For the past 2 weeks, i kept thinking and thinking if the problem lies with me. Till now, im still thinking. Feeling very painful and really hate it.

I really wish that you can dun dwell on the past for too long so that you can move on happily. Here's a quote from Ice Age 2: Meltdown: "You have got to let go of the past so that you can have a future" Im sure our history teacher has also taught us to learn from the past and move on. If you aint going to learn from it, you wont grow up. (Sorry for being harsh on that last statement)

We can learn from each other mutually. Seriously, i really enjoy time with you. Though we really have less than 8 hours with each other for each week, i still enjoy it. I treasure it.

Your supplementary paper is next week. Study hard for it k...Dun fail. Dun be negative abt everything.

For 4 years, i didnt know i left the batteries in my Lego Robotics Invention System V1.5 RCX module.

Today, i took them out. The whole RCX is dead. Batts leaked, affecting the components in it.

Argh...wat the hell...just too careless.

Got to go down to Lego Singapore to get it changed OR i have to order a new set.

Bla...money down the drain again...

Sold away my Sigma 70-300mm telezoom, Nikkor 50mm F/1.8 lens and Speedlight SB-600 flash unit for the Speedlight SB-800. Quite a sacrifice but worth it totally.

Ok...here's wad happened today.

Well, if u guys dunno, i have been forced into some lame quiz competition. Argh, was damn reluctant to be in it but as my name was submitted already, i have no choice but to drag my feet into it. Was so boring. Lecturers dunno wat to teach to prepare us for the competition.

Today, my friends and i went to the Singapore Science Center in Jurong East to sit for the preliminary paper for the quiz competition. Manageable and i could answer most questions and am certainly confident of passing the paper. But as u can see in the previous paragraph, i was already very reluctant to be in it. I just hope that my team will be kicked out of the competition entirely so we will not be in the finals. My team members had the same sentiments btw. So im not alone. Ok, here's a lil info about the finals. It will take place in the Sci Ctr on some day in the month of February. Cant remember the day exactly. =/ Well, there will be some head to head round during the finals. During the round, member elimination will happen. Thats not enuf. Other than elimination, you will have to GET WET! GET WET OK! When i heard that we have to go thru such a thing during the finals, i immediately got quite irritated. Well, i dun like to get wet.

Well...just hope i dun get into the finals. =/ Kind of weird right, when someone is in a competition, he/she certainly hopes to get into the final round of it. Well, im not. =/

Next in line is to get my Power Supply Unit changed to either 1) HEC AcePower 480W OR 2) Antec Truepower Trio 430W. Need some opinions.

As for my photography equipments, lately, i have made a tough decision to evade 2 lenses and my SB600 for the godlike SB800 flash unit. Tough but no choice, i really got to get rid of the two lenses in order to have enuf money for the SB800. Both lenses, though underutilised, are still my fav lenses.

Ok...thats all for this journal. Pretty busy with my Final Year Project these days and not much time for photography.

Im back in school for my final year project and 4 weeks had passed since then. Kinda boring i can tell u...

Bought myself a new baby, which is the Zen Vision W. Amazing player with great features. Now i can backup photos from my CF Card and watch videos on the go. This is a Christmas gift for myself. =/ (Well, no girlfriend. So i could afford to have that myself)

Hope to get the Sigma DC 30mm F/1.4, Speedlight SB-800 Flash unit and an Apple MacBook C2D before i enter NS next year.

Realised i havent been photographing and posting in my dA for some time. Gotta do so soon.

Xmas coming soon. Gotta wish all fellow peeps a wonderful and magical Christmas. Gonna have a gathering at my friend's house for some alcohol and food feast this xmas eve.

Then, i will proceed back to school to finish my last module/subject, which is the Final Year Project module. That will be another of 12 weeks of work (and maybe rotting) in the lab. Damn, the freaking lab that im gonna do my project in is so freaking cold. Argh. I will literally welcome myself into the mini "Antarctica".

Tomolo, i will be meeting mr Asianrabbit for the first time. We will be proceeding to Suntec City Convention Center for real hot photoshoots!

AND...im going to change all my half of my current dA submissions (those taken with my Nikon) to carry a thin blackborder and a chinese signature...sounds like more work now...

Heck the 6Bit color system, it doesnt matter unless u have powerful eyes (thats wat i heard though)

For that price, i tink none of the similar LCDs can come close to this beautiful looking panel.

Learnt alot from my fellow new found friends and an expert by the name of Willy Foo.

We had alot of fun, but there were times that alot felt frustrated and confused. The schedule was pretty fluid, as in whether there will be delays or cancellations of upcoming events. Fortunately, we had to thank two friends, Meisy and Aloysius. Without them, things will be in a great mess.

During free time, we will read newspapers, review or sort out photos, or play guessing games! Our official prizes provider was Willy Foo. Its very exciting.

Well, IMF meetings will come to a close tomolo. I really enjoyed working with our fellow mates young and old. I gained alot. The bond was great. We endured short hours of sleep and covering many events. Worth it!

Alright, my academic results are released today. Sad to say, my GPA dropped. A lil disappointed. Overall, i got 2 As, 2 B+s, 1 Dist, 2 C+s. Aint really good. Was expecting something better. But on the bright side, i have completed my study portion of the diploma already!

The stingray's barb pierced and punctured his chest while a hole is created in his heart. He was pronounced dead shortly after the rescue team came.


Mother Nature just lost an animal lover. We feel sad over his sudden and freakish death.
Condolences to his widowed wife and his two lovely kids. He will be remembered as a wonderful icon in the animal world.

Took the fireworks display by New Caledonia. The fireworks were themed around wildlife. Pretty good display by them. They also used appropriate background music for it. Thumbs up for them.

The next fireworks display was on Saturday and that is by France. It was named Celebration of Life. Had mixed feelings over it. Initially it was slow and boring, but gradually, it became a lil faster. It was quite well choreographed and i enjoyed the display.

I had too many fireworks photos already. So i only uploaded 2 each from the teams. Dun want to dilute my gallery with fireworks photos.

So, wat happened on Sunday? Went to take the Bodybuilding championships at Sentosa, Singapore. Yea, i managed to capture some nice meats over there. It was an interesting event as u can see alot of musclemen. U will envy them with their nice and well maintained bods. I should be posting some photos later this week. Keep a look out at the Photojournalism --> Events category. On that day itself, i witnessed right infront of my eyes a natural phenomenon. For Singaporeans, if u have catched the news yesterday, there was a water wind formation over the sea. Looks like tornado or twister, but it aint one. Soon after the water wind disappeared, heavy rain sets in. Weather these days is weird.

Orite, i am having my 1 week study break. A time for me to prepare for my LAST EXAMS in NYP. For those having exams, good luck and all the best!

We had this lecturer and oh my, he loves to beat around the bush. We ask a question, he will ask back another question. We answer him, he will ask another question and most of the time, for your info, he will shoot back a similar question. Damn pissed. Instead of answering, he beat around the bush. A lecturer is supposed to guide, not quiz us rite?! But sometimes, oh well, look on the bright side, this type of lecturers are good, truly one of a unique kind. He really wants to make us THINK, look thru and understand what we have learnt and the mistakes we made. Well, I am glad to have this type of lecturers. It’s good for us. =]

His style of quizzing really works. Today, he came by my team and I had to present it to him. Apparently, he spotted a mistake in my firewall project. So, he asked me to read the rule stated. After reading, he asked me to explain how it works. Then, he asked me to read the stated firewall policy. Still not convinced that I don’t know the mistake, he quizzed me once again. The cycle continues and suddenly, I knew my mistake. Oh well, I admit that it was a mistake on my part. The same old thing happened again when I accidentally applied a policy on the wrong firewall interface. Argh, it took me a while to knew it AND AGAIN, IT WAS MY MISTAKE!

Ok…I cant blame him though. It was my mistake. Sighz…

My friend had the worst experience and that got him fuming mad. I shall not elaborate here but I can give u a summary. He presented his project today. The lecturer spotted some mistakes. He asked my friend to explain what it is and how it works. The lecturer kept asking questions till my friend got very mad.

Alrite, its all over. So, the moral of the story is, “We have to think and understand whatever we do, the mistakes we made and learn from them. =]”
