Just finished printing out my resume', which took a bit, since mom doesn't have microsoft word on her computer, she has some strange program I'd ne'er heard of before... and I had to take it to the library to print it... which required saving it in a different format and a little bit of tweaking once I got here.

Got a job interview today.

It's been some time since I've freely had access to a scanner. Consequently, I have a backlog of images I just haven't been able to upload.
My husband decided to remedy this problem - despite my objections - this Christmas past. I decided I better upload everything everything I have strewn about now -- before I loose any other pictures. (my affinity for doodling on sticky notes makes some of them a tad difficult to hang onto, and scanning is the only real way of preserving them.

I realize that those watching me are about to get hit by a good dozen images. I apologize in advance, but if you could do me the favor of at least taking the time to go look at them? I'm not asking for comments on each one, but I know the temptation, when slammed with a large quantity of new deviations is to simply go through and delete them.

While some pics I have uploaded are just really nifty looking doodles, I have several I did spend quite a bit of time on. I don't want them to passed over.

So, being a beta tester has it's upside.
I like the ability to put multiple pics on my page. I also like the ability to change around the layout, FINALLY.
I've wanted THAT for a while now.

I figure, along with a new front page look, I might as well re-do my stamp collection. I notice that whoever made the WoW stamp I had up took it down.

I think I'll also go through and finally scrap all those pics in my gallery that always make me groan when I look at them...

I guess here's to a dramatically smaller gallery in the near future.

Addition:

So, I sent a LOT of deviations to scraps, many with notes as to why.
I also kept a lot... I can't believe how much I've changed, grown in my drawing. I kept a lot of my early drawings in my deviations for posterity sake, even though I think they're terrible, to remind myself that I used to be much, much worse. That way, when I get really frustrated, I can just go back and look at how much better I've gotten.

am uploading (well attempting) pics of some of the eggs I've done over the years.

If you happen to have an egg I've given you, and it's not broken and you know where it is, I'd love to get a pic of it...

I'd be nice to document the thing BEFORE it gets lost or broken...

So far, we have found ONE finished egg from when I was giving them out. I KNOW there are more out there....

It's the ULTIMATE egg hunt!

Forth-with I might be switching to porcelain eggs... I bought some off the internet.. but I have to see how well they decorate.

Still working on that darn Ostrich egg tho... For those who want to see how that's progressing, I uploaded pics of it to my MySpace.

It is taking FOREVER.... But then again, they are roughly equivalent to 2 dozen or so chicken eggs, so I guess that's fair.

Well, for those of you who KNOW, I had impromptu, emergency Gallbladder surgery (as in the "we need to remove it NOW" kind) on the 10th... and it was soo infected I was in the hospital for 4 days...
Now I've been home a week, and I'm starting to feel okay... Except when I start to try and DO stuff... Then I get sharp, stabby pains. >.<

I've agreed to do a doodle a day for the next two weeks with and while I'm off work.

We're going about it in an interesting way though. We have to do our doodles based off a song lyric or title...
We tried to pick as varied a list as possible, so that we'd have a wide range of inspirations, and we all three chose songs... Then we sort of orded them randomly, with a little tweaking in the final stages, so that songs that were too similar were either removed or not near each other.... and the song list is as follows:

Day 01: Inside Out -- Eve 6
Day 02: The River -- Good Charlotte
Day 03: Ants Marching -- Dave Matthew's Band
Day 04: Flying Dreams (from the Secret of Nymh)
Day 05: Hajimari no Kaze (opening to Saiunkoku)
Day 06: Neon -- John Mayer
Day 07: One Week -- BareNaked Ladies
Day 08: Cartoon Heroes -- Aqua
Day 09: One Jump... (from Disney's Aladdin)
Day 10: 21 Things I Want in a Lover -- Alanis Morissette
Day 11: It's Gonna Rain -- Bonnie Pink (from Rurouni Kenshin)
Day 12: Promise -- Eve 6
Day 13: I'm No Angel -- Dido
Day 14: Scull Crusher Mountain -- Johnathan Coulton

I think the final compilation is a good mix, even if about a third of them were ones I'd never heard before, and a couple of them require actual translating into English.
Like I said, I'll be doing my best to post the actual songs on my LJ whenever possible, for the correct day.

I asked my bosses that........ They they thought this to be quite amusing....

But then... They're the kind of cool doctor bosses that spring for coffee and donuts...
In fact, did you know that if you cut a donut in half, all of the calories go to the other side? It's true! And then if you cut the HALF in half, all of the calories go into the remaining quarter...

Then all you half to do is avoid eating the last quarter of the donut... This is why whenever we have a box of donuts in the office, by the end of the day it's filled with half and quarter donuts. Some one comes in and eats a half a donut. Then some one else comes in and eats half of that...

This way, nobody will ever get fat! ^__~

and it finally came. Da da, I'm featured on May, I'm so happy. ^__^
It was a little expensive, but to have such a nice, custom calendar, for the whole year was SOOO worth it.

He had also made a previous journal entry about bans in Thailand on it's internet webpages.... I can't help but wonder if it is a pre-curser to this..

Any information anyone has on the current situation in Thailand would also be helpful, as I do not have TV.

She had 2 little puppies, both girls (we think). They're soo cute. The labor lasted FOREVER, though, because the first one born was HUGE for a Japanese Chin Puppy. It has a little tiny fish shaped marking on it's back. The other one is really whiney and tiny and frail, just like a real princess???
Anyway, we all stayed up all night...
Sakana (Japanese for because I think it's prettier than calling her just "fish puppy") was born at 5:56am)
and Himeko (Japanese for little princess, again because I think it's prettier than calling her "whiney little princess puppy") was born at 6:08am....
If Yanagi doesn't like it she can smack me, I wanted to call them something pretty, cuz they were girls......... :: anime eyes at Yanagi ::
ANYWAY, yay, they're born and sooo cute! And we have pics, only they're still in my digital camera.... although I think she may have posted some on her MySpace acct.
Anyway, up all night. Dead tired.

However, we are not unpacked, we are all grouchy, has thrown out her back and can barely walk, and I minorly sprained my ankle in the move.
As for finally having the internet, yes, we FINALLY HAVE IT, after ATT /SBC DISCONNECTING IT, instead of transferring it, then TYRING to charge us a DISCONNECT FEE and a RE-CONNECT FEE, which we yelled at them for, and then they took FOREVER to fix, the computers are not yet networked together or hubbed into the internet connection yet....
Sufficive to say....... If you don't hear from me, or any of us much or at all for a while....... Do not be surprised, do not be disappointed.
If we do not comment on your work, do not be hurt.
We are not ignoring you on purpose.
We are, like I said, dead tired, grouchy, and still in the process of unpacking.

Here's an example of why fire works are illegal here in South CA.
Just today an eldrerly gentleman (in his 80's), who's lived for years in my town had his house burned down by bottle rockets.
AND he wasn't even the one setting them off.
He'd gone to the cemetary to visit his wife's grave and when he got home he found his house in cinders, right HERE! >.<

Who set off the illegal bottle rockets, who knows, kids? Or even adults... I've seen adults here in my apartment complex give thier kids fireworks to play with.

It's dispicable, and now this poor gentleman has lost his home!

Now, I've seen patrol cars everywhere in these past few days, but it's hard to track down everyone. So please, please. Think before you light something off...

It could be your home, or a neighbors home, or a life........

It's been so long since I've posted real actual artwork! Actually, aside from the deviant ID, most of what I've put up I drew last year... In fact the sketch for my ID was also done last year, but I had to wait for Illustrator before I could colorize it. :: is very happy ::

Well, it's 2:15 AM and my husband is schnoozing in the other room, and I've got lots to do tomorrow.... Church, cleaning house, and my girlfriends are all coming over for a musicals night!

Yay! My New Years Resolution for 2006 is to work really hard on my art! That means drawing, writing and paying more attention to my poor, dejected violin (thanks to my kind, wonderful, loving husband who replaced my poor, broken bow)...

I realized that I've been neglecting all things creative, in the lack luster humdrumness of the everyday rush....

WORK is NOT my priority... I have been letting it get too strong a hold on me... Yes, work IS important! Without it I would be unable to fund my art supply purchasing. (not to mention rent, food, bills and yes, the occasional sushi gorge or movie fest).

Neither, I realize is art, but I ought to remember it's more important to me than just going to work and earning money.

Art = Heart

And without it I slowly loose my will to live

It may take a while for the products of my resolution show up here on DA, after all, I still have to get my compy, scanner, ect, set up... AND I have more than just drawing to attend to... I've let much slip... ;_;

But I decided to announce my resolution here, on DA, so that you people can help hold me to it! Thankyou!

ANY WAY! I am now off on my honeymoon!! Oh, and the hotel is really neat!!!! It's all asian-y and they have free high speed internet access!!! WOOOT! unfortunatly, did I mention I was on my honeymoon.... Soooo... LOL I won't be on again for at least 3 weeks.... That's right, 3 week honeymoon. We are going up to Washington state, so my love can see where I grew up and plus it will be a really nice drive! Soooo relaxing after all the stress and hecticness of the wedding... @_@.....

I thought about it several times Saturday, and Today..... And right now....

And yet, life goes on.......

Saturday, I went to get fitted for my wedding dress, went to the birthday party of my co-worker's five-year-old son and went mattress shopping with my fiance'....

And today was Easter...

For Ron, I still grieve, but I do not mourn.....

And as things inch closer to April, I begin to feel happy..... albeit rather overwhelmed....

Nothing formal.... Just all of us from high school and a few more friends that we'd picked up along the way, some of them hadn't really known Ron very well, but all of them had met him....... We're all a part of the same group....
I think it gave us more of a chance to reminisce than say good bye... but then, that's what the funeral was for.......

It was a good thing, I think, we gathered pictures, talked about our favorite memories of Ron and put everything together in a sort of scrap book for his mother.......

It was good, but it was hard...

When we're together we have each other, and even in our sadness, we're not alone...
But at night, especially tonight, looking at the scrap book all finished, I find it so hard to keep from crying....

All the memories, all the pictures, even random things remind me of Ron...

The stupid Magic Mountain commercial makes me cry... Ron was so fond of going there... He had a season pass and only lived 45 minutes away... I think I've been there 5 or 6 times with him...He loved going fast, especially in high places... He liked being high up in general, I think... My friend has pictures of one of my birthday parties, my 17th or 18th, I can't remember... We had it at a park with really big rocks, the kind you can really climb...
Most of us stayed pretty close to the ground, but not Ron... He was up there at the top!
We loved to hang around the school after classes.... In fact, when we had half days, we'd still stay at school until 4 or 5 o'clock at night... Just chatting and goofing off.

I remember, toward the end of the year it started to get really hot and we all pretty much ended up falling asleep next to the wall of the school... Of course, Ron fell asleep too, but not next to the wall, like the rest of us.... He sat on the top and snoozed, first sitting up, with his back against the building, later he stretched out on his stomach (the wall wasn't thick but he was skinny) with his chin hanging over the edge... I can't figure out how he kept from falling off...

The silliest things we'd do after school... We'd pile on top of each other in a big "cat pile" and pretend we were all kittens... We all had our own kitten name... Mayhem, Kayose, Bailey, Origami, LyteLyfe, Tic-tac, Galatea.... Ron's was Ramen, you know, like the noodles. He loved to eat them, too...

We used to pick the flowers off the daisy bushes and chain them together. Ron and Cassie would pull the petals off and throw them at each other and everyone else... Then when we brushed them off, Ron'd laugh and say we'd been "de-flowered"...
I went back to our high school with a bunch of the group, to let the teachers know about Ron... (we went to a small high school, and a lot of us still sort of keep in touch with the teachers)... And we discovered they'd pulled out the daisy bushes... That in and of itself was heart breaking...
Although, the tiny stick of a tree Ron used to chase Cassie around is now taller than the building...

We used to play games, too... Tag, and "Cassie Ball" (when you get in a circle and toss your friends as if they were a ball, back and forth) and once we even tried to play "Red Rover"....
We split up into teams... Ron was so good at breaking through our arms we had to hold on extra tight... The last time he ran through, we held on too tight, and instead of breaking through, he "clothes-lined", flipping all the way up, over our arms and back down, landing flat on his back.... He claimed he was fine, though...

He really did love to do crazy things. He kept pet snakes... He used to bring them to school in his back pack... No one knew they were there until after the final bell rang... then out they'd come... I think that's how I met him... Trying to figure out what he was doing with snakes at school...

Ron loved music... He played the flute in band, and the key board just for fun... He and Heather used to have "flute wars", playing different songs at the same time... I think to see who played louder.... Or they'd practice band songs together... Cassie and I'd get out our violins and join along...

He used to dance... I was in a swing dance class with him at the community college, with my sister, my fiancé and Cassie... We were all first timers, and I think it was Ron's 3rd or 4th time in the class (it was one of those that you could take repeatedly for credits)... He danced circles around us...

It's weird the things you think about, after you loose someone. You feel guilty for the oddest things... Like nabbing tater tots from him at lunch, 5 years ago.... And I just don't know if I can face going to bed yet....
So I guess I'll be stuck here a while longer, staring blankly and bawling at the computer screen.......................

Friday night we had our big group Christmas party, which was a pot luck and a white elephant. My Friend Sam and I made Strawberry Chicken, which everyone was like "eewwww, that doesn't sound very good," but they tried it and we ended up having only 4 pieces left over, which is good because we made about 35 or so of them! So everyone loved my strawberry chicken! ::smiles happily::

As to the rest of Christmas I have SO MUCH TO DO! and BESIDES THAT I HAVE WEDDING STUFF WAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!

If anyone wants to give me a Christmas present, please PLEASE just give me cash so I can spend it on my plethora of Medical Bills and wedding expenses!!!! @_@

I'm to panic mode on those. :: cries:: I have so much I have to pay for and no money. I just got another medical bill for $170 and I owe the lab (blood draws) $50... ::sigh:: PLUS my Primary Care Physician has wrangled me into going to a hematologist to get Iron Transfusions once a week until my Iron level comes up. That means sitting there for an hour on my lunch break while I have the stuff drip into my arm through an IV. NOT FUN!!!! ;_; I just don't know what I'm going to do. I told my therapist that I was having a real hard time, since my co-pay is $25 a visit... I was seeing her once a week, but now I've got to get the transfusions once a week, too, and I just can't afford $200 a month, esp with wedding expenses! :: cries:: My kind, wonderful therapist waved my co-pay for my last visit and told me to spend it on my wedding!!!! THANKYOU!!!!! :: huggles::
I'm sorry I can't come see her any more... :: sadness::
