So I've managed to post some art lately. I'm quite happy about that. But I need to gets some original stuffz done some point soon or at least the next crime of passion underway. I lost my script! I was so sure I had a copy of it in my inbox... bloody hotmail... Oh well I will have to wait until I can get a hold of MY computer. Plus I've wanted to do some writing. I was reading my latest fic, "Dehumanized", I was kinda happy with how it was coming about. You might say I am a little proud, but only a little. I don't want to get an ego. But yea, I would really like to continue it.

But what's taking up my time is my latest job. Which isn't bad. I'm actually quite enjoying it. I just need to learn to A) stop being a nervous dork and be myself, B) learn to be less casual when I speak, and C) try to make a game out of menial work. I'm really excited. They are teaching me how to work the phones, so I might be able to get my mitts on Receptionist or Call Center, which will beef up my resume a bit. Ya know, just something to fall back on in case my plans don't work. I always like to have a back up plan. Heh, I joke with my friends that I might end up as a Secretary, and that's when my friend Jean brings up the Manga "Midnight Secretary" and her and I just end up in giggles... Jeez, we are such girls! Seriously I enjoy talking on the phone. I'm just this huge chatterbox/shoulder to cry on. I enjoy listening to others, and I enjoy chatting too. Again, I'm such a girl >_<

In other news I am finally getting around to cleaning the ole homestead. I was at it for an hour and couldn't take it anymore after that. There is just SO MUCH STUFF! I found a picture of myself and two other girls I used to be friends with from some kinda photo booth. I think I was between 7 and 10 in those pictures. So OLD! Later in the evening I went to see Julie and Julia with my mother, sorta like a girls night bonding thing. Oh my, it was SO HILARIOUS! I recommend that movie to everyone! I was SO not expecting half of the jokes in there I was literally bursting into laughter. But my eyes felt seriously tired after that. That's the only thing that bugs me about seeing movies. (Oh and last weekend I saw Ponyo. Very cute! I recommend that too)

Oh, I also finally got to wear my new Lordi T-shirts. They are pretty smexy! The one I'm wearing today has their faces on it, and it looks pretty cool, except Mr.Lordi and Ox's faces are a little distorted because they are place RIGHT wear my boobs are. So they look all Fun-House mirror It's pretty silly, but it still looks good. I should buy stuff from American Apparel and get decals on them more often! And yet... cash is required...

Yawn, well I must be off. Tomorrow I move my stuff out of my apartment and back over here, so I have a long day ahead of me.

Hey, remember when I said I had all that free time? Well it got up and went. My agency phoned and gave me a new assignment. So, Boo no free time, Yay cash flow! But I have plenty of time tomorrow to work on some stuff and that's what I plan to do.

So camping was really fun, I had a really fabulous time. There was bonding, card games, swimming, and skinny dipping (Although I was too sick that night to participate). The only downsides of the trip were my awful sunburn and my nausea the second night. But besides that, all good!

I was also pleasantly surprised to be asked once again by the local recreation center to do another Camp Poster for them when I returned. I'll be working on that tomorrow. Another pleasant surprise was that my mom thoughtfully taped a very interesting documentary about a Transsexual Beauty Pageant. The film was titled "Trantasia" (I think). I always found the subject of Transgender and Transsexual people and what they go through quite fascinating. I don't know why, I just do. I was surprised to see Victoria Parker (from RuPaul's Drag Race) competing in the competition, and Shannel (also from RuPaul's Drag Race) giving her/his support to all the contestants from back stage. This prompted me to show my mom, who could not recall who Shannel was, (I mean how dare she forget one of her daughter's favorite drag queens, lol j/k) so I brought up her/his website to show her who I was talking about, and do you know what I found? Shannel has a Facebook fan page! I was so excited! Months ago I had found Nina Flowers' fan page, and had looked for Shannel's but couldn't find one for her. And now, I finally found it

Anyway, blah blah blah, still looking for full time work, blah blah blah, drawing more stuff, blah blah blah, I'm really excited to start writing my own children's book and graphic novel, blah blah blah, ENOUGH ABOUT ME!

So I'm all excited for this weekend. I have been invited by my friend to go on "Sparton's semi-parentally supervised camping/cabin weekend experience" (Name copyright John D 2009... lol just kidding). But soon after I was informed that the Gay Pride Parade was on the same weekend. So I was sad for a little bit, but then I was like "Well, my friends are more important than a fabulous parade. I'll have fun either way, so YAY CAMPING!" And I was excited again.

I bought new swimming gear (I don't really do bathing suits... I don't feel comfortable in them), some Capri pants, some minor hygiene stuff, got out the ole sleeping bag, made plans for a ride and to share a tent. And I'm all sent to go.

But when I came home this afternoon, I discovered something that has made me a little blue again. My brother was flipping through the "Life" section of the Newspaper when I saw a familiar face. I quickly snatched it from his hands and flipped through it to find out if my eyes were deceiving me. They weren't. There he... I mean, she, was. Nina Flowers! Nina F***ing Flowers! *Insert high pitch squeal* I LOVE Nina Flowers! She's my all time favorite Drag Queen. Since seeing her on Rupaul's Drag Race, I immediately grew extremely fond of her. I wanted her to win. I was a little sad she came in Second, but still happy for her. Plus Bebe is pretty wicked too, so I wasn't too disappointed about how it went down.
ANYWAY, I've been a huge fan ever since. So when I read the article that was accompanied by a very gorgeous photo of Nina, I was all smiles and joy. Until I found out that she was coming to town for the Gay Pride Parade. The one I am not going to be in town for. She is performing at the Commodore Ballroom. (dunno if I spelt that right...) So I began to pout. And I still kinda am. But that doesn't really make me less excited to be spending time with friends this weekend. I'll get over it sooner or later. Plus my friends are cool people, I'm sure they'll help me forget all about it and I'll be smiling in no time.

...But if you or someone you know is going, could I get some pictures sent over? Pretty please?

Oh and on another note... My laptop screwed up again. So I can't get on FF11 or msn until it gets fixed I'm back to using the Parents' computer... More reason for me to clean my room and my apartment and get stuff moved... Bleh.

1. My "Daughter". I haven't seen her in a while and I miss her quite a bit. I sometimes prefer her company compared to hanging out with a huge group mainly because we stay on topics of shared interests and understand each other very well.

2. An Old Crush of Mine/Friend. I hung out with him recently, and I recently discovered something rather disturbing about him... I always thought he was a gentleman, although sometimes he would prove me wrong. That day, he DEFINITELY proved me wrong...

3. My Long Time Crush. I can not get him out of my bloody head! Next time I see him I am right out telling him that I like him, and I don't care what he does with that information! GAH!~

4. My friend John. I enjoy hanging out with him because we share a sense of humor, but he tends to piss me off a lot too...

5. My friend ~tragically-lame. I had a chance to go to the No Doubt concert with her, but I already promised John I'd go to this event with him on the same day. I really hope she had a lot of fun.

6. My recent co-worker. She's a cool lady, but she's a little too self-involved. I kept having to ask her question about her or her weekend, but she hardly asked me any. I had to randomly share stuff.

7. My friend Christine. The last time I hung out with her she was really pissed, because an ignorant busboy took her half-finished drink at the club, which she could barely afford at the time! Drinks are expensive! I want to make it up to her, but she keeps saying it's not my fault. It's not, but I still feel bad.

8. My brother. He reminds me of a more hard-headed/confident me when I was his age. It ticks me off half the time. Just when I think we are getting along, we start bickering over something stupid, and then he's gotta dis something I like or hurt my feelings like that will help him win the argument. I love the guy, though. He is my lil bro after all, not to mention we do share interests as wells as genes.

9. Jocund. Just wondering how she's doing. It's hard to catch her with such a time difference, not to mention lack of own computer.

For those who've been wondering, I still live, I've just been hell-ah buzy... with work. I got a job, or had a job. That's how temping works. While I wait patiently for another job I shall return with a vengeance! (yay vengeance)

Wow I have a lot to pick up... There's a half finished Crime of Passion comic, a bunch of Arukeni/Mummymon pictures, some Lady Paprika and Mario stuff, a few Joker/Harley things, random misc comics, and random other things. I think there's a Snape somewhere in here... wow!

Well after next week I should be a buzy beaver, especially with the fact I'm moving out of my apartment... I cry. I will miss it so.

So yes expect some updates soon. ...hopefully.

Oh, and another note: I am so totally all about Lordi right now. OMG~ I bought 3 of their CDs because I'm a retard like that: Get Heavy, Arockalypse, and Deadache. So I was at the anime convention yesterday, Anime Evolution, and I have to say, I was kinda disappointed. SUPER expensive, wow! I can understand with it being in an actual convention center, but still... ouch, my wallet... One of our friends had to leave because they didn't have the cash! I felt so bad... She was so sweet to let us explore while she went to shop in Metrotown. But looking back, we really shouldn't have gone without her, it wasn't worth it.

I looked at the program and I found little to nothing that I wanted to see. Stuff I was sort of interested in, I had already missed since my friends and I arrived around 3pm. I think the only things I enjoyed was the Dealers room and the AMV contest and countdown the most. I almost did some karaoke, but the wait was WAY too long. Plus the selection was very disappointing.

Hehehe, I think I may have embarrassed my brother and scared his friends. You see, when I hang out with my friend John, my pervy side comes out full blast. Maybe because it's competing and trying to keep up with his pervy side. Even I scare myself at have the things that come out of my mouth.

I ran into my American friend . She's such a sweetheart. I wish I could have spent some more time with her. I'm definitely going to have to find a reason to go to American so I can visit her.

Looking at the artists' alley, I found myself inspired by a few things and it helped me have some great new ideas. So stay tuned.

Okay, I'm not quite back yet. But I've pleased some of you haven't I with my last post, yes? Damn right I did. I also was quite happy to finally get that next comic out there, now I gotta redraw the one after THAT. Hahaha... blah...

Anyhoo, I've been traveling back and forth between my home and my parents' place. Very hectic and not always pleasant, but is a necessity. a) Because sometimes I miss them, SOMETIMES, b) I have friends out there that want to hangout, c) Work and Recreation, d) other things I can't quite remember. Anyway, I will be doing a lot more of it these next few weeks with Birthday Parties coming up, my Brother graduating high school, Dungeons and Dragons gatherings, parties and gatherings that don't involve celebrating someone's birth or role playing, comic books, and salvaging my sanity because all this traveling will surely drive me nutz at some point or another, but it'll be worth it.

SOON, I shall scan a lot more work and we shall rejoice together... what am I kidding, my stuff isn't that awesome, but it sure makes me giggles. So we shall GIGGLE together.

Oh my gosh... so much to do. I haven't even touched my new sketchbook yet I wants to draw, but where is my inspiration?! Plus I gotta finish all this stuff.

So I got these tickets to go see Kevin Smith LIVE on the 27th of March. I heard about them on Facebook of all places! Wow. So I asked my parents, "pretty please", to purchase two tickets for me and I'd pay them back. Because I knew for a fact that a friend of mine would totally be into going with me, BUT apparently he had already bought his tickets... well bawlz... I needed to find someone to go with me. And there were 2 people at the top of my list. I went with my pal Julia, since she's gone to two concerts with me already plus she's really wicked, so perhaps she likes the work of Kevin Smith (FYI: Dogma, Jersey Girl, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob, Clerks 1 and 2, Catch and Release, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, etc), and the other friend has been busy with school lately so I thought for sure Julia would be down for it. Thankfully she was a fan, and she was willing to go, but she had to make sure she had nothing to do that day. Turns out she did. But it was Christine to the rescue! I knew for a fact she'd enjoy it and she wasn't busy with school! So she said yes! Yay!

So we had an early dinner and went to the show. I was showing her the copy of Batman: Cacophony I brought with me (It's written by Kevin Smith after all) when she suddenly realized that she's seeing a show with YOURS TRULY. Confused? Allow me to explain: I'm loud when I attend functions like these. And I like to make jokes. Bad ones, but people seem to laugh at them. So she got this idea that I was going to embarrass her... Pfft, hardly! ...Okay, maybe I did just a little

So it turns out the show is more of a Q&A style thing. Which was really cool, I got to learn more about one of my favorite Directors/Actors/Comedians. I mean, a chance to actually ask them a question, who WOULDN'T take it? Am I right? The show was pretty hilarious. Some people asked him for advice or what inspired him to do this and that, but the really hilarity started when this one guy asked Kevin to help achieve something from his "Things to do before I die" List. Christine and I were like, "Okay, he wants to meet Kevin, take a picture with him, get a hug, something like that..." WRONG! His request was: "I've never been naked on stage in front of hundreds of people". WOW! LOL, so Kevin was like, "Sure, get on up here!" He turned it into a game. He read out things from the guys list, and the audience had to guess if they were actually on there, or if Kevin was making it up. If we got it wrong, the guy put ON a piece of clothing, if we were right, he'd take it off. LOL we got the guy down to his Jeans and boxers when Kevin decides to leave the "final unveiling" to later on in the show. "LOL, can you imagine the look on the faces of those who show up late to this?"
We got to learn a lot about him: His relationship that inspired Chasing Amy, his experience at Vancouver Film school and moving to Vancouver from Jersey, His friendship with actors he met and worked with, fat jokes at his expense, His wife and kid, His current use of "Mary-Jane" and if we had some he'd hang out with us after the show, and his love of Wayne and Walter Gretzky. He talked about this all while myself and many other members of the crowd shouted out one liners.
An hour before the show ended, we got back to the "unveiling". The crowd got the guy down to his boxers when Kevin decided to let the guy wear his robe, just to make us work for it I was pretty sure the guy wasn't going to flash us in a public place. Sure enough he was only wearing the Silent Bob robe and nothing more. And then FLASH! We got an eye full of... ... ... there are a million words for his but I wanna choose the right ones... ... I guess I'll go with "Nuts and Bolt". I was so shocked. For the last hour of the show, the guy just sat in the chair provided on stage, naked as the day he was born, just chilling. It was pretty amusing.
In order to get a mic to talk to Kevin, you had to raise your hand until a tech-person came and provided you with one. I was determined to talk to this man. I kept at least one hand raised for about one whole hour, and thanks to being patient, I got my wish. When it came to my turn, I was a little nervous, but mostly excited. So, yea, I've been here and there, up and about, and such. Got a few interviews and a sweet part time job. Attending an art test tomorrow for a job... so yeah, I've been quite busy.

Plus I got Pokemon Platinum on Monday so I've been playing that on my off time.

So I managed to snag a part time job, and I also had an interview for a full time one as well. The Part time one I absolutely love and can't wait to get started! The Full time one... they haven't hired me yet, and they're having me do an art test. The work they do... well, isn't my dream job, but it'll put food on the plate ya know? But then again it'll take 3 hours on a bus to get there and back... I dunno how I feel about.

Anyway after getting the Part time job I was hoping to celebrate this weekend, but once I received the art test I started getting all stressed again. Hell I had a dream about 3D modeling! That was freaky. All this stress and sitting at a computer is really ruining my upper back. I've been wanting a massage for over a year now, but never really had the money nor the time. I should really put it on my Birthday list. (I can't believe its almost May...)

But yeah, even after a night of dancing I still felt stressed. Although I did have a lot of fun. I went to a place where they wear costumes. I got to dance with a Witch Doctor and a Mad Hatter

Anyway I better hit the hay if I wanna get back to work on that art test before I meet my friend to hang out.

So I saw Watchmen last night at Midnight even though I only read the graphic novel half way. It was pretty good. They took out a few things they should have left in and focused quite a bit on the "love story" part.

And that twist my friend told me to keep an eye out for, I solved it pretty quickly... That was kinda disappointing.

All in all, I thought it was a good movie. I would recommend it, but it's totally NOT for children under 16.

A few weeks ago I ran into one of the people I used to work with at the Recreation center when I arrived at belly dancing. She asked me how I was doing, if I was still in school, and if I managed to grab a job yet. When I told her about my difficultly finding a permanent job she suggested an option to me:

Teaching at the Recreation Centre.

I thought it was a good idea, but I know nothing about writing a proposal for such a thing or teaching. And if I could, what age group should I teach? What should I teach?

The obvious subject for me to teach is drawing, flash, or photoshop.
