i'm working on a tattoo commish for a friend of mine here and it's turning out so good! the only thing is that i don't have my scanner here. i'll have to find a way to scan it in. i can take a photo of it but it's not the same. but it's a fallen angel and is basically the best human-form i've ever drawn. i think my anatomy is quite good considering i usually suck at humans. i'm stoked. the friend it's for is quite pleased with it so far as well.

i may be going to palmdale this weekend with friends. i'm excited but i know that when i drink i get really touchy feely... let's hope i don't do anything stupid since all my friends are boys... lol.

i've made a lot of friends here... the funny thing is that most of them are boys. which is alright since i feel like one of the guys myself. lol.

my phone is basically dead. yeah, don't drop it in your glass of yummy alcohol... it's not a good idea. lol. so the speaker doesn't work at all and the only thing i can do is text ppl. we get paid this thursday so i'm planning on going to the verizon place at the mall and getting a new phone and plan. screw nextel. they suck anyways.

oh, and i'm sick now. yeah... this place's sickcall is dumb btw. i didn't get to be seen but they still gave me siq (sick in quarters). i'm going back tomorrow to see what's wrong with me. i'm feeling worse as the day progresses, which is a drag. i have a sore throat, cough, liquid in my lungs, headaches, and i have no energy. the only thing i have energy to do is eat and sleep. it's horrible. so yeah, keep me in your thoughts please.

anywho, hopefully i can bum internet off one of my roommates at regular intervals. i don't like this lack of internet business. oh well. ttfn!

anywho, fast forward to this morning. went to my transfer brief and got my packet to drive to illinois. good news is that they're going to give me an advance on my travel pay. $99 a day plus mileage. which rocks like no ones business because i'm poor and didn't know how this trip was going to be funded. lol. it's definitely not set in stone but i think i'm going to be leaving california and my home for the past 2 years on either friday the 5th or saturday the 6th of october. that way i can drive past chicago to detroit and see my family for a couple of days.

i'm sad to leave everyone here but i've gotten over the initial shock and it's morphing into something a little better. i'm almost excited. this sunday will be my last pagan holiday celebrated here with digi. i know there will be many more with her but it won't be for a long while. looking forward to mabon. <3

my surgery went well last wednesday. i'm now sporting a very sexy walking cast! i have lots of cute stitches too! aww. hehe. i'm on convalescent leave and i get to have a handicap thing in my car. i feel so special. XD

i'm having a good week so far. i'm working at the print shop again. i like it there. it reminds me of the factories i used to work at. kinda like home. all i do is use a stapling machine and a binding machine. pretty neat yet simple. i end up feeling so exhausted that by 3:00 i want to go to sleep. lol. so i do. i've been taking naps from 3-5 every day this week. except for today sorta. it's nice not being in class. i'm going to start studying real hard tho next week. i don't want to forget my chinese.

i can't help but wonder what i'll be doing in a few years. what career will suit me? i'm wondering if being a translator will make me happy. i really want to learn japanese. i really want to go to japan and maybe live there. but i also thought about working in forensic science or automotive engineering. *sigh* i don't know. i like to do so much.

anyways, only 2 more days until the weekend. i'm planning on going out for steak and a movie on friday since i wasn't able to do it on my birthday. i'm getting paid in the next couple days so i'll be able to afford dinner and a movie but not much else. rawr. anyways, i better be getting ready for bed. ttfn!

my brother john called me today to wish me happy birthday. that made me happy. i still haven't heard anything from josh yet but it's still early afternoon. what pisses me off tho is my dad. i know he reads my journal entries on here sometimes but i don't really give a shit. anywho, all he sent me was a freaking e-card. no money. no present. nothing. i'm not sure if it's just late or what but i talked to him the other day and he didn't hint at anything being in the mail except this stupid e-card. it pisses me off. my mom who's scraping by was able to scrounge enough to buy me a dvd and a computer game. c'mon dad. where's the love? freakin a. i better stop before i make myself angry. i don't want to be angry on my birthday.
**edit** my dad finally called me last night. altho he waited until 11:30pm his time. ah well. it would've been his loss had he not called. but he did wait until my birthday to ask what i wanted. dumb.

update on my situation: they pulled me out of class on monday to put me on medical hold. wait, this isn't a bad thing. i'm actually really happy they did it. my stress level has plummetted and they told me i'll still be able to take the dlpt if i don't get put back into a class. now, i'm not sure if the navy will discharge me or not so that may be what happens in the future. i'm keeping a positive outlook on whatever happens.

my birthday is this monday! i'll be 22... so old. haha. i'm planning on buying myself either a t-bone or a new york strip steak and grilling it myself. my roommate also wants to take me out for ice cream. mmm! i've also decided that my birthday money will be going for my road trip to disneyland the first week of january instead of my tattoo. i'm still planning on getting the tattoo but i want to make sure i can afford to buy souvenirs. XD

anywho, i've been busy making a plushie for a craft swap and once my partner receives i'll be uploading some pictures for you. i'm really proud of the way the little guy turned out! so yeah, that's about it. stay real.

it's officially one month and 4 days until my birthday! i'm excited because i want my tattoo so friggin bad! my dad is sending me a detroit tigers hat and that makes me happy too. i'm glad they got into the world series i just hope this "dirt" incident won't keep them from continuing.

anywho, my unit 7 listening test was today and i think i did really well on it for a change. i won't know for certain because they're not graded and also if i think i did good on a test i usually sucked on it. tomorrow is our reading and speaking tests. then we have total immersion wednesday and thursday. not really looking forward to that because they said we still have to wear our uniform. bah, retards.

so fast and the furious 3: tokyo drift came out on dvd today. i bought it. yup, that's right. you should too. it's awesome. i skipped out on study hall today just to watch it! wow, i'm dorky. but i was also sewing while watching it. hmm, point made. anyways, do yourself some good and go buy it/ rent it today! oh, and the soundtrack is good too.

wewt! i'm really excited for halloween! my roommate and i got mini pumpkins yesterday and we're gonna draw faces on them with sharpies! i'm not sure what i'm dressing up as but i'm broke so it's gonna be something i can throw together. i might buy face paint so i can look semi nifty tho. i'm also working on a tattoo i'm planning on getting for my birthday in november. i'm really excited about that. i guess the fact that my roommate got her 3rd tattoo this past saturday got me thinking about my own. i dont' think i'll be able to fly home for christmas this year so i want to treat myself with a birthday present. my mom says that my car was a birthday present for myself. that may be but i want some ink in my blood stream. mwahahaha! lawlz.

so i'm going to see two specialists tomorrow about my feet. the podiatrist and rheumatologist. i kinda hope they want to do surgery on me. i'm not doing so well in class now i'm taking this medication. i think one of the side effects is feeling like i'm add. i can't concentrate for the life of me. oh well. 35 weeks straight of chinese and who wants to concentrate? not me. lol. anywho, gotta make some dinner and take a shower. ttfn!

i called the guy who's driving the semi that has my car on it today and he said he'll probably get here tomorrow night or wednesday! yay! he said his truck had engine trouble and he would've gotten it here sooner. it's alright. it's so soon! *does dance* i'll post pictures when it gets here!
