Got a great e-mail from someone who adopted a couple baby dragons. "Hello and thanks again for the bearded dragon they are doing great and are getting more beautiful! I love watching them eat and it's fun since they can eat such a variety of foods. They have been doing very good and they seem to love eachother they're always snuggling together and laying on top of the other. Thanks again I enjoy them so much!!!! -jennifer"

I put an add in the paper because there is no way I can take care off 13 baby draqgons once they get bigger. Had a lot of calls and the first Dragon actually went to thier new home today. The good news is that he is living less than a mile away. The new owner bought one of my favorites (hated to take a favorite to a petstore). This was a middle child size wise. The smallest of the big dragons but still a bit too big for the middle tank. Unfortunatley he/she seemed a bit scared of Musha (who tended to bask with his body covering this ones whole head). But he/she loved sitting with me more than exploring so I thought that he would be a good choice for a new dragon owner. Sent him/ her off with a supply of mealworms and a dozen crickets in calcium, and one of the cool little glazed saucers I found for $.69 at Agway. They are perfect for lettuce, veggies and mealworms. Happy becuase he is going to have a nice big tank to himself, sad because he really was a sweatheart.

I now have 13 Baby Bearded Dragons! Three survivors from Vesta's first clutch Born mid July and 10 from her second in Mid August. One little egg still in the incubator from ther fourth and last clutch for 2009. Since I am planning to try and find new homes for most of them I took some pictures. Vesta was with two different Males. One was Sora and the other a Red phase dragon nammed Mushu. Since some babies have a definate red color streak behind their ears I guessed those were Mushu's offspring. However Vesta is very orange since she had a parent who was a color morph (her beard gets bright orange when she's happy), so I am just guessing. Thought I would share the pictures.
