There, now that that’s out of the way I can continue with the main part. First off I have been busy setting up some *ahem* special surprises that will be revealed later, that should partly explain my absence (Animethon is the main culprit ^^)
As for Animethon 14 I haven’t quite done a full review of it as I have been waiting to get my picts all setup but I can tell you it was a BLAST! (the best one yet). More details will be posted on my LiveJournal [link] . So be sure to check it out if your curious.

Now the big news, I am leaving dA for Fur Affinity. Why you may ask well...
1. There I can cater directly to the fandom (there’s just not enough here)
2. I promised that when I tried my hand at some adult art I would open up an account there (its no VCL but it is an alternative)
3. I have grown impatient with this swirling vortex of darkness. I have tried for moths to make the best of being here, trying to attract visitor’s, faving and watching but I just can’t get anywhere. So its time to move on.

Right now I am in the process of transferring my gallery to FA so right now it’s empty but here is the link

I know many good artists that have moved there so I hope to see lots of you guys there too ^^
Until that is complete keep an eye on my VCL gallery for updates.

Ok for those wondering about my absence from dA wonder no more!
Recently my bro acquired an XBox 360 and thus we needed to get it online so we (mostly me) had to do some reconfiguring and placement of one of our routers (the wireless one that handled the Wii and DS connections)

Like always problems came up and my internet connection was erratic and couldn't hold onto anything. And then I had to go out of town to build a garage at our lake. But anyway with a little tinkering and much reconfiguring I am back with a solid connection and increased security! Via the router which is now under my complete control.

As well I had some time to finish some outstanding art, which has been on my VCL page for a while (don't ask me why the VCL gave a better connection?).

So that’s the gist of it. I'll have more info and news as it comes up, cause boy do I have some big announcements!

Its really quite a sweet deal I get all week off to work on my computer and do my art and then go in on weekends to do my thing, you know sell stuff, man the register, talk with customers about geek stuff that I talk about! Suffice to say it’s the second best job ever! (Lets face it when I worked for Blockbuster I got 10 free rentals a week that alone secures its place as top spot)

And in other news I have completed my IOU to-do list for he summer: this is everything I owe to people. There may be changes and such over the course of the summer but right now that its it. Oh and I am currently closed for all trades / requests until this gets cleared up. This list has accumulated or the past year so right now I just want to say Sorry to everyone who I owe stuff!

First off I now that I’m getting back into my art and summer schedule I will be notifying everyone that I owe stuff to so that I can get started and finish them, so expect to hear form me shortly. As a little note: it looks like DCJ’s drawings (emphasis on the ‘s’) will be done first since they are 100% and 80% complete. Other then that there is nothing else to report on the art scene.

Second I will be going hardcore with my comic so expect to see some major changes! Now that I’m no longer hindered by the NAIT Nuggets restrictions I’ll be experimenting and changing quite a few things with the comic, and they will definitely be interesting so stay tuned.

Third I’m now in the marked to form some web space so if anyone has some info or details on this topic be sure to drop me a line. Until then I’ll be setting up shop in my VCL web directory. I’ll post more on when I get it setup but it will mostly it’ll be used to host my Flash projects, (both past, present and future).

One last note I’m updating my VCL [link] and LiveJournal [link] more frequently than this place so if anyone wants to keep in touch with me those are the place I’ll be at. This is turning out to be a great start to the summer.

A lot has happened of the last month, good, bad, birthday ^^ and believe me it has all been for the best!

First off on March 27th I had my b-day and it was one of the BEST Birthdays ever! I am now officially... older. And loving it! Parents took me and my bro out to dinner. Got some sweet, sweet gifts and to top it off I was home early from school that day ^^ All in all one of the best ones in a long time.

2nd the main explanation for my absence... UNIVERSITY ASSIGNMENTS! I have had non-stop work since March 1st and before that was just as bad. I have been going non-stop trying to keep ahead only to fail (I've lost it I'm rubbish ) but thats doesn't mean I didn't do any drawing just a lot less of it that was directly uploadable some of it still isn't available, yet...

On the art scene, I missed out on the VCL compo again only managed to get an oldie in... my comic had to be abandoned for a while, got a few intermission completed. But I managed to get published in yet another paper! Not only am I appearing in the NAIT Nugget but I the first issue of 'Highly Destructive Reptiles' debut in the University of Alberta Gateway! Pretty slick. And in the Flash department I am... hmm how should I put this... 'kicking ass and taking names!'

Lastly thanks to Saruuk and DCJ who were nice enough to show some concern for me, thanks guys I really appreciate it your good friends. And prepare for a barrage of my work I have stuff worth uploading here. A lot of it too! If you've been to my VCL recently (thanks for the visit) you've already seen it if not prepare yourself!

Yep thats right I have been going full tilt to try and get my work done ahead of time. As well my comic is eating up most of my free drawing time. But enough of the jibber jabber there is an actual point to this entry. The 4th one is of importance so skip to it if you want

1. To apologize to all my friends for not replying and generally being the nice dragon I usually am. Sorry everyone for the neglect.

2. To announce that my school work is picking up and as such I am closing my doors to trades + requests for the time being. This also means I may note be able to get into the VCL art compo this month. All current trades will be accounted for and completed! (recap list below) I have given my word to complete these drawings and I will never back down from it!. So be please be patient with me. If you feel that you do need to rant at me to get your drawing done by all means go for it I will try and accommodate the impatient people.

3. I have accumulated quite the backlog of art, comments and journals and I intend to reply to all of them or at least a good chunk of them ^^ so you'll be hearing from me very soon

4. One final contest! It won't be something hard or taxing so as such the reward will be something light (a sketch or good pencilled drawing) I am also going to try something new with it, its invitation only so if you want in send me a note so I know who to give the rules too. Its deals with something I'm using in my flash lab. So it could be interesting.

When I checked my account today I found out that both Saruuk and DCJ had given correct answers with Foxin making a noble guess (Saruuk with China / Xinjiang Province, DCJ with Western China and Foxin guessing New Zealand). The dilemma occurred when I found out the correct answers were posted at almost the same time! I was going to award it to Saruuk but technically DCJ is more correct, plus I owe Saruuk the 1k giveaway and another little surprise which will show up in the next week or so ^^. So in the end the win goes to DCJ. Sorry if seems like you won / lost on a technicality.

*Whew* I can't believe that another semester is finished. I'm just one step closer to graduation. Enough of my jibber jabber I better get down to bidness and by that I mean the formal thank you's I owe the people that placed a watch on me, uploading all my art as well as knocking off the list of art/messages that have accumulated.

Oh I also got some other news as well, I have finally setup my LiveJournal account! Now I have to get used to yet another new interface, if anyone already has an LJ drop me the URL I love reading journals. AS for me don't expect much I'm using it mostly to host my VCL comments until Ch'Marr gets a system up and running. Not much there right now but stuff will slowly trickle in. I have some more new news which relevant to art and my watchers, so pay attention!
Since I'm on X-Mas break for about a month I'm going to be clearing out the old requests file and finishing up the journal sketches I owe people as well as maybe opening up a spot of two for trades and or requests. So now is the time to pester me for some art if you ever wanted any.
As for my comic (Highly Destructive Reptiles) I am officially behind by too many weeks to count! I still have two issues already prepared just need uploading and the next 4 or 5 are already planned and just need to be sketched drawn, coloured and polished. Quite the list but up for the challenge. As usual if I include any drawing with easter egg (worth one freebie!) I will be sure to post it in Bold so keep an eye for that.
Last but not least, I'm backlogged with uploads so expect 7, 8 or maybe even 10 new pieces 'o' art from by before the end of the week (yes, I was a very busy dragon before exams started)

I'm down to the last 2 weeks of the semester, 1 week of classes and 1 of finals so its pretty much make or break or time. I managed to pull my arsenal out of the ditch and get my grades up but at the cost of giving up on, hmm well maybe 'giving up' isn’t the right word... lets see uh, well actually yeah I did give up. So I gave up on C# class, blew it off to pass my required courses so I can graduate later.

Not much else to report on just kind of stopped in to see what’s up and lay out a few plans. If I get some time later tonight I might make a quick upload (technically I have 6 drawings done but no time to upload)

Any way I've fallen behind on updates to my comic and my requests I owe people (officially 2 weeks late and had to cancel the comic for the next 3 weeks and months late on the journal sketches sorry!) Once the semesters over things will resume as normal. Still got the plan going that once I hit issue 10 I'm moving out to a web comic community or my own site (I won't be closing this or my VCL gallery so don’t worry). By request of some of my dear friends I will post when I leave, where I end up and give respective links.

Oh and if you haven't heard the VCL has a mock-up comments system! So to take advantage of this I will be opening a LiveJouranal account to host all of them and other things. More will be said once this gets setup after the end'o'semester.

Looks like a few kind people decided to place a watch on me Thankies! I will be sure to give proper thanks and watches once I get some more time.

1: My $400 video card exploded! I swear if it still wasn't under warranty I would be shooting my self. It also put a cramp in my ability to do my school work and art editing. Had a hell of a time finding a compatible replacement card too.

2: I got KO'd while waiting at the bus. Punched right out by some stranger that was waiting for the same bus as me. He was standing next to me for 25 mins before just POW no reason at all, left a real shiner and scar on my cheek. 100 people saw this and not one onf them did a damn thing! That's what really pisses me off!

3: Finally found a compatible video card and then it got sold 5 mins before I walked in the computer store! The morons didn't put the damn card on hold when I asked them to. So I'm still stuck with a dysfunctional Nvida GeForce card I got as a temp replacement.

4: Got a message form my school saying that I'm almost failing a critical course I need to graduate. Not looking so good.

*sigh* Its a good thing I don't give up easily! Somehow I'll make this work. Hopefully some good news is on the way.

And in case you missed the big news, I have recently been hired on as the comic artist for my university newspaper (the NAIT Nugget). I now have a weekly comic to tend to, making me an official comic artist! The pay is good the experience I'll get is fantastic and I can now put something special onto my resume that will boost my chances of landing a job doing what I love. I'll snag a few photos and post them later. But unfortunately there are two downsides:
1. I'll have to slow down the work on my main comic till at least Christmas or maybe even next summer. I'll still make updates and post new work for it but just don't expect it anytime soon
2. I will not be able to post anything about the comic till after the issue has been released, looks like Fridays or Saturdays will be the update schedule for the comic (since each issue is released on Thursday) I'll post the latest comic and any scraps alternates etc. as well. This isn't one of the Nugget's rules just more of a personal one.
This might be thinking a little far ahead but once my comics hit the big 1-0 I'll be moving out. That’s right DeviantART is not the best place to host them and the VCL (being a much better choice) still wont satisfy my need so I'll probably be moving to one of the free web comic hosting sites or maybe even my own site.

With this new start I'm closing all my old contests and slagging the freebies that went with them, sorry but if no one wants to play its not my problem. I'll still do it on occasion but only if people are willing to play!

On to bidness:
I just found out on Thursday that the people who run the NAIT Nugget (my school paper) are a bunch of unorganized, uniformed, liars! For those who don't know the whole story here's a recap. Back in Sept I applied for the comic artist job at the NAIT Nugget, well after weeks of no response and visits to the student association I got a response saying I didn't get the job/wasn't available. Well a week ago a comics section turned up in the paper and it turns out that the email I got was just an auto generated response!
So turns out I did get the job! Only my application (7 pieces of art plus 2 comics) got lost and it still is lost, so I submitted a revised comic, sent emails to the submission inbox and talked with one of the secretaries. It may be a freelance situation (turn in whatever whenever) but hey all I really want is the experience, looks like I'll be fighting a 3 front war now.

On the schoolwork side...
Most of my classes have gone very smoothly, still not so hot with C# though. So far I have saved my arsenal and grades but I that’s needs to change and fast!
Midterms are in a week so got to lay low for the next 2 weeks and get studying. 1 lab due this week in Java class. My comic submission need to be in 1 week in advance so I need to finalize it before Wednesday.

Cleaning house:
Not only in real life but here on my dA page as well. Going to archive my scraps section, reorganize my gallery and generally make stuff more presentable here. My old work is still nice to look at (gives me motivation and no one looked at them anyway ) but I want to show that I am more of a competent artist so time to get cleaning. Plus I got a few ideas I want to implement. Expect to see a revamped and recharged Leomane!

Final notes:
In my last journal I said I was going to take a tentative month long vacation from art, well I blew it... 1 day after I said that I was sketching in class then 2 days later got some kick ass ideas and well here I am drawing like mad again.

So yeah I am totally getting raped by C#! You ever get the feeling that you shouldn't do something or take something for that matter (C# class in this case). That’s what it is right now I'm just waiting for the 16 ton weigh that says 'Don’t take C#!' to fall on me.
So far I think I bombed my first lab my performance on today’s test is a little iffy, I can't get the damn thing install correctly on my computer, I was almost late for this mornings test *whew*

After I finish the Sept art compo count me out! I 'm going to take a break form my art maybe a month long one, who knows. Knowing me it'll last 3 days before I get all depressed and draw again, I think I just need to take it a little less seriously and get my bearings.

Plus I need some new tunes! I got a slew of games with rockin' music so I think its time to break out the old AV cables/recording equipment and start ripping video game soundtracks again.

Second: Alas I didn't get the comic artist job at my school paper just got the news yesterday... kind of depressed about it but then again it was a big gamble anyway but it would have been nice to have my drawings be seen by the entire school (and make some $). On the plus side I'm able to concentrate fully on my major comic and drawings. Which I just finished! Hexcellent! Yep my backstory is up and ready to go feel free to check it out.

Third: UNIX/LINUX hates me! Yep it hates me alright, Macs love me Windows is indifferent but UNIX hates my guts! At school we have to work with Unix terminals for Oracle and Java (J2EE) and well out of 75 students in 3 different sections I am the only one, yes ONLY ONE with a completely fucked up development environment,. How do I know this, well when the instructor comes over and says "I don't know how to fix it" and is forced to go get the techies (The guys who actually run NAIT's computer systems, the gurus who can fix anything) and they say "I don't know how to fix it". that’s how you know!

finally: I am one hell of lucky programmer, one of my java assignments is so screwed up I was guessing I'd get about a 1/25 as a mark but then for some reason it compiled correctly I have no idea what its doing or why it even works (neither does my buddy who is a java master) but all the instructor needed to see was that it had no errors or failures! I ended up with a 22/25!

Other then that don't expect to see me on this week university is picking up (3 test, 2 labs, 1 assignment) and I still haven't been able to get into the groove of things.

Now that university is back in, I've survived the first few days and settled out a few kinks. It looks like I will have time to continue my drawing and I might just be doing a lot more of it. As most of you know I've been getting my comic tweaked and ready for drawing. But if (a really big 'if' mind you) I get the job as the comic artist at my school paper (just handed in my app form, resume and samples today) I'll be fighting a three front war. So I'll be splitting my comic 2 ways and continuing my normal art.
One part will feature my main comic that will run along the story arc I have been creating and feature the robust cast and story I have yet to fully introduce. The other one will be short little strips much like the ones found in newspapers that will be more outlandish, pop culture-ish and school related.

I just got the reply email from Ch'marr so now I'm part of the VCL (a big step up for me). Which brings up a few related topics, the big one being exclusivity. Just like the video game industry (a big part of my life) I will most likely be dividing my art among the 2 (or three?) galleries I have, but with the way exclusivity works in the VG industry I might just slag it as well. VCL will most likely be home to my best art while dA will be the receiver of most of my dregs and anything VCL won't accept (fan art and non anthro). I'm gunning for a 50/50 split but preferably for more people to visit my VCL gallery because of its reputation.

Lastly this deals with DeviantART itself. More often then not I find myself becoming annoyed with this place, I feel like I'm not getting anywhere, my friends seem to have no trouble being noticed yet I work my arsenal off and I'm still struggling just to stay in the shadows. The whole reason I opened this up is for many people to see my art and to get the critique I need and that’s just not happening here and it’s de-motivating me. It might be my lack of involvement in the community but I just can't motivate my self to get involved. This place is too big and too easy to get lost and overlooked. I now look towards FurAffinity, with it being anthro exclusive I might just have a better shot at making it there and being noticed as at least a competent artist (no offence to my favourite foxy, loveable lizzie and my other friends).

I have a lot of things to mull over and work out. If anyone wants to lend a paw, claw or hand in helping me out or giving advice, it would be greatly appreciated (Man I'm so depressed, maybe I just need a good sleep, a long gaming session or day off...).

Yes you have heard correctly I have been accepted into a site I have admired and visited for 5 years. I have only dreamed of this moment. Ever since that fateful day back in 2001 that I stumbled across the Velan Central Library, I have wanted to join but seeing the skill and quality of art there scared me off. But as I explored it more and more I found my self becoming inspired and thus bringing me into the world of anthros, the furry fandom. It changed my life I can say this without hesitation that I was changed that day I had found a something that called to me, something that I wanted to strive to do to become. And for the first time in my life video games took a backseat. On that day the little green dragon that was dormant within me hatched, and he burst forth and took over my very soul!

I am seriously overjoyed, I still can't believe it, it is a feeling of pure ecstasy. But anyway I have other news to report as well.
With the backstory of my comic in place and my application comics under review (on this very site) it will be my grand entrance into to world of comic art. And if I do get the job at my school paper it will also be the first time in my life that I will get paid to do something I enjoy! What I have accomplished this summer outweighs anything I have ever done. My expert video game skills, my excellent computer skills, they are nothing compared to this! To be able to create my own comic is something I have dreamt about for years as well. I just never imagined it would come to pass. But with school quickly approaching I worry slightly that I won't be able to handle all that I have planned.

And there are some people that I can not thank enough. They have watched me grow, supported me, given me inspiration and introduced me to so many new things since I first appeared here (I trust you know who you are...). And to all my new friends here I thank you as well, your comments and kind words have helped me when I needed it most.

So that wraps it up, thank you every one and good luck on your future endeavours, because that is what I will need with mine.

This is it! I have just finished resubmitting my VCL application (no more then 5 minuets ago), lets hope I have what it takes this time! If you want to check it out and root for me my page is here [link] For those interested the drawings I used this time are: Worst 'space' scenario ([link]), AnthroWars, Under fire ([link]), and Journal sketch 4 Chinmyou (hehe you lucky little foxie you ^^)([link]). Of course all of them have been modified as to comply with VCL rules, which I don't mind following.

School registration is all next week and its going to be a living nightmare! If I'm unlucky I can pretty much kiss next week goodbye in terms of completing anything. But there is one good thing, but I will come to that later. But I will be glad to get back into the groove of university life, I feel like have been starting to loose my motivation and the fact that I have been playing way, way, WAY too much Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, so the change will be nice.

As far as journal sketchies go… just one update ~icefoxx yours is almost done got a great idea and its coming together nicely, sorry for taking my sweet time everyone. 3 spots still remain open so get in on it while you still can! (find it here: [link]).
After a week of did come out ahead I got 6 sketches in progress (the Desert Punk [link] one is finished enough for now) as well 2 others have recently be completed (this morning actually) so expect them whenever.

Now for the big one, the whole shebang, the ‘Crash Bang Boom attack’ of news! (well in my book anyway) Over my vacation I took a long hard look at myself and found that I have been drifting from drawing to drawing, getting the occasional idea, I feel like I am lacking cohesion nothing to pull my ideas together. So here goes I am planning to create a comic involving myself many of the characters I have created, and the occasional guest appearance (if you ask real nicely ^^). And I hate to say but since it will also be available online (either dA, VCL, or a new site) it will be *gasp* a web comic! Let the cult following begin. I mean for craps sake I have created over 25 characters and nothing for them to do. Some have started off as mere fan characters (Stiph & Shrill) others are by-products of too much Godzilla and pizza (Zack & Kamo) and others were just pure coincidence (Lucy & Luu). And by a stroke of pure luck with the new school, year coming up I have decide to apply for the comic artist job at my school newspaper the NAIT Nugget (see a connection anywhere hint, hint), that is if the position is the position hasn’t been axed by the management. Last year no one took it so hopefully I will have no competition. As for the comic it will involve something near and dear to my heart. Expect to see details and maybe even a comic early next week, I had a lot of time to plan this out so many of the details are already set.

Anyway next week is a big family reunion, I mean big! We'll be having relatives over Canada that I haven’t seen in years. This is because its my grandparents 80th birthday so my parents and the rest of our family is holding a birthday bash out at our cabin. So I'll be gone for about a week, still be drawing (very little) but no updates or anything I'll just be getting re-acquainted with a little friend known as relaxation. When I get back I will not be looking forward to seeing my dA inbox *shudder* If you want my attention best to let me know now.

~Art comop results:
Judging for the VCL July art compo was recently completed and Yatenstar has picked the winner, and the winner is *drumroll* *pish!* Not me! Yeah I didn't win the compo, which is real let down. The real winner is Paddy with his entry, I congratulate him on a job well done. But it doesn't change the fact that I'm disappointed (I'm allowed too be sad!) what does change the fact is that I was a finalist! #1 on the finalist list! It was this drawing that got me there: AnthroWars, Under Fire [link] I am just so happy about that, it was even my first time entering the VCL art compo. So I consider it a success it boosted my confidence, increased my skill, plus I can use my entries elsewhere... As to whether I'm going to enter next month I don't know, the topic is a little meh but we'll see.

~VCL-bound?
Thats right you heard me! I'm going to throw my bandanna into the ring again (I don't wear a hat ok) and re-apply for space on the coveted VCL! It has been almost 5 months and I think I have made real progress in my skills, levelled up if you will. I now have a style of my own in the works, I have been practicing almost every day (even at the cost of being late for work). And with my new plan to slag all my old drawings and label them as complete enough, not finish them, or redraw them completely I have nothing but new art on my horizon. As well thanks to the help of Chinmyou and Saruuk, and all my new friends here my confidence is at an all time high! This is the perfect time for me for me to give it my all or go down trying my hardest!

~dA changes:
I have decided to make a few changes to my dA page. First off I'll be changing my featured deviation every week or every 2 weeks, because even thou Worst space scenario is my best work I was starring at it for close to a month straight so I really don't want to see it every time in logon. For this little change I'll will only be choosing my personal faves or ones that I think have been overshadowed during a major update as features or if someone wants to make a suggestion feel free too. my deviantId is in the works and will be up ASAP. A new avatar is also on my to do list, I still like this one but change is good.

~Artwork update!
In a brash decision I have slagged all my old artwork / some old sketches and have left them behind. I have grown so much and I feel that spending the time to finish these outweigh the time I could be using to come up with / draw new ones, as well they are almost all from 1,2 or 4 years ago (yeesh!). So now I have nothing but new art work on the way. I am currently refining my style reinventing my characters and generally going all out! But I will still learn from my mistakes so as to not repeat them.

Well it was about 20 minutes before we close yes twenty-minutes and a charter bus, A CHARTER BUS! Full of people pull up, and I am not kidding 100 - 150 people swarm the front area. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but since it was dead all day most the other front end people were sent home due to lack of work, so it was me the supervisor and 1 other cashier to handle this. To top it off most of the people were from New York & Toronto so all they had was American $! It was a real headache trying to scan items, bag stuff and convert the money. I was supposed to be off at 11:15 I was done at 12:30! It is the most hectic day I have had all summer.

On a lighter (and less stressful) note my compo entry is almost done, looking to be done by Saturday. As well this journal sketch thing [link] is coming along well, I still have four (4) spots left so be sure to get in on it if you haven't already. I might check out a few others as well.

She went as her own character and I went as Samurai Goroh again (from F-Zero).
I got some sweet swag as well, no CD's this time around but almost all of the books I got were $2 a piece! I completely cleaned out Comic Kings collection of Gold Digger pocket mangas (I love Gold Digger!). Finally got a wooden sword too, it looks great in my room, picked up 1 new 'how to draw' book now I can practice other styles and hopefully improve huzzah!

Oh and I can't believe it we managed to meet up with our other friend Kathy (aka: otakukitty) who was running a booth along with a few other artists, she does fan-freakin'-tastic art it puts me and a lot of other artists to shame. Visit her deviantART page if you don't believe me. [link]

I even entered the Super Smash Bros. Melee Tournament, I was the only one to play as Luigi out of 64 other people I was the only one! I got to the semi-finals before being KO’d. Even if I didn't win it was some of the best smash rounds I have ever played!


As well the costumes people had on were the best I have ever seen, someone was even dressed as the Prince of all cosmos (Katamari Damacy) as well as the default anime characters / game characters (Final Fantasy & Super Mario Bros. anyone?).

*Whew* that’s it in a nutshell. I think this was the best year so far, but that might change with next year

Anyway I'm going all out I'll be trying new stuff and finishing all my backlog of WIP's, as well Saruuk gave me a great critique on one of my sketches, it was just so in depth that I don't know how I'll ever repay him Thank you Saruuk. So I have a lot on my plate but I won't be letting up anytime soon, I'll still make my daily visits to the VCL forums and here.
As well Animethon 13 (longest running Canadian anime convention) is this weekend @ Grant Mac and I'll be there all three days with my good friends enjoying all the sites and sounds.

Now that that’s out of the way, *whew* what a day not tiring (yet) but really productive.
Except for the fact that I missed my deadline of finishing the Canada Day picture I was drawing (again!). Subconsciously I knew I wouldn't get it done but I really really hoped I would. DAMN IT ALL! I hate when I fail at my art especially something like this, its like shooting my confidence in the face... with a rocket launcher... causing fatal splash damage to my entire emotional wellbeing.

Yikes, I have no idea where that came from! Still I'm glad that I got some of my W.I.P.'s finished, a few new ideas are down in sketch format and the request I was asked to do should be sketched out by tomorrow morning.

What the hell is with people, I mean I 'm not angry with The Dark Ferret for rejecting my VCL app he was doing his job (and he is always bang on with the rejection and acceptance of applications) and I can see myself that the picts I used are not the best.
What really pissed me off is this sap 'Subversive-imaginati. She has some real guts to say what she said. God damn it! all I asked was where I could get some critique on the forums.

What the fuck kind of response is that! Seriously it was like a kick to the fucking face! I bet she didn't even look at my gallery or take into account a little thing called personal style. (or an Edmontonion) it was a great playoff round this year, better then most I think. And even though the home town lost they are still heroes. Overall really fun to watch they had great come from behind victories, I mean they made it into the playoffs just barley but then they made it all the way to the finals! That alone makes them heroes.

Anyway after being absent from the good doctors Kemono Island Paint BBS I finally got some time and a worthy idea so I made one and got it posted at about 2:47 am. *Whew* I really did miss those late nights of starting a pict and going right through till its done. It just seems like I accomplished something. So this latest attempt took me 5 hours give or take a few minutes. It actually turned out really well I am so proud. Its going to be posted in my gallery along with the original sketch later so stay tuned.

Anyway first off I managed to finish inking 2 of my fan art drawings, then I was able to scan in 3 of my fan art pictures (Kirby, Bean and Amy) and tweak them so their presentable.
Lastly I was able to post a good number of those drawing to my account (2 fan art and 2 original).

*Whew* all I have to do now is post one message on the VCL forums and I done for the night!

Oh man am I a sucker for characters / character art especially Stith. She has got to be my favourite character, I would literally kill to get some artwork of Stith. Heck I would even settle for some fan art.
