Biggest of all is I've gotten married!
Chris and I got married on the 1st of September (first day of spring) and we couldn't have asked for a better day. The sun was shinning and not a thing went wrong with the wedding.
Work is still going well. So much so we even hired someone new to join the team. So there's 5 of us now.

I have been at my design job for about a year now and it's been great! It has been a huge learning experience, but worth every minute. I have worked on a few big projects and a lot of solo projects. Now when I walk around Palmerston North (NZ) I can point out the things I designed to people.  It's an awesome feeling.

I decided to leave Click Clack. I wanted more variety of work and I had no guidance while there because there was no marketing manager for 11 months. I also had no one to learn from or room to grow being the only graphic designer there. The ceremony went well. But I did have a mini melt down just before entering the stage. My cap dropped out of my hands – and with my quick cat like reflexes I caught it by the tassel – then *snap* off comes the tassel. I freaked out! What is a graduation cap with out a tassel?! Just a weird, strange, square, flat hat. But luckily with Dee’s MacGyver skills, she managed to tie the tassel onto the cap just before I went on stage. Unfortunately I ran across the stage because I was scared the tassel will fall off – ruining all of my mum’s photo opportunities.

As you know Christmas is all about the giving, so I gave my mum a nice necklace, My sister Haley an original printed hoddie with one of my designs on it, My other sister Vivien an original one of a kind photo, and My beloved boyfriend some much needed boxes, a road atlas - cause he always gets lost, some fluffy dice for his ka, and finally a 3d wooded puzzle.

In return I got some perfume, some paint brushes, coasters (even though I don't own a table) a coat hanger, and some make up.

Basically I have to make customers feel welcome, find out why there in the store, and help them pick out the best phone or plan for them…how ever I cant make the sale – once a sales person is free i pass the costumer onto them.
The perks of the job is that I get a free cell phone! Yip the latest one out. I have to demonstrate to customers for now, and take/print photos of them for them….but after Jan 2 its all mine :D

My holidays did go well, I enjoyed my two weeks break. In the first week I spent a few days with my mum, then a couple with my sister. Then in the last week I just enjoyed my space at home. I managed to get motivated to start two new paintings…. but I'm not sure when I'm going to get time to finish the now that I'm back at course…its only been the first day and already we have been assigned assessments.
