For $20 I'll make a small (no more than 5"x5") sculpture for you in sculpy. Anything larger and the price goes up.

I work with you on what the piece is, do concept sketches, etc, and paint it.
Shipping costs I would prefer fall to the person making the request, since I'm paying for materials.

Keep in mind that I'm a stronger creature sculptor than humanoid, but I'm still more than willing to give it a shot.

So, if you've wanted a Llamaphant and knew that there was no way I was going to part with my ceramic ones (cause I won't ), this would be the time!

Moving on.

Posted a couple pictures of finished pieces. Repeated the whale, but it's changed significantly from what it first looked like. I need to get better pictures of the plecostamous, but what else is new. I've yet to find a way to bake the two sculpy pieces I did for maquette making. They're both just barely too big for a conventional oven, enough that they'd be right up against the heating element. I've been considering setting up some sort of dutch oven and cooking them outside (or in the car! it can get up to like 140 degrees in there with the windows shut!). I'd like to paint them before I post pictures, but we'll see.

What else. I'm doing concept art for a friend for a game he's working on. Not that that's new. It's just a little more official than usual, so no pictures of that stuff until he says it's okay to release them.

Also have my master's project I'm working on (constantly). I decided to mod Bethesda softworks's elder scrolls: oblivion. I'm doing two things, attempting to tell a story though enviroment and textures, and trying to get my textures as realistic as possible. So far it's going pretty smoothly. I've got around 50 pages worth of comic/storyboard that follows a character though the enviroment and the main 'quest', if you could call it that. Right now I'm working on learning the Construction set, which after the Neverwinter Nights toolkit experience is a absolute dream. It rarely shuts down on me, it recognizes models almost instantly, and is very easy to use.

Speaking of, time to get back to it. Trying to figure out collision settings today, which I'm thinking is going to be pretty simple after I've read a few more tutorials.

6. Figure out what the hell to do with the Pufferfish zeplin that isn't cooperating.

7. Find an oven that is big enough for both Anubis AND the CoiRay.

8. Breathe. It's almost over.

Pufferfish Zepplin (yea, you read that right) is going back in to an 04 fireing, then i'm cold finishing it. Since glazing pwns me.

Suckerfish streetsweeper (mawhahaha) is in construction.

Koyrai sculpy maquette is two weeks or so from completion. Then I have to find an oven big enough to fire it.

End of the semester photo time!

Poor Rhino (ol' ironside) got blasted by a cannonball (in a kiln). And the Kracken, or Squidzilla as it is nick named, is smelly, still. Damn lusters, stink to all hell.

I've got one more picture to take at some point of a big ass painting I did in the beginning of the semester, but havn't gotten around to documenting.

On the ceramics front, the llamaphants are finished and need to be photographed. There is also a third piece that is finished (FINALLY) and will be critiqued this weds. then photographed and brought home. hooo weee. Two more projects to go!

There is also a piece for my grad studio class that I should take a picture of as well. Monsterous 24X36 piece of plywood that I glued canvas that was printed then put feathers on ... better to put up photos of that than try to describe it.

But for now... It is time to shower and go to bed. More ceramics tomorrow.. and TEACHING PEOPLE HOW TO ANIMATE?!?!?!?! OH NOES.

But it's all good. I finished two EXCELLENT games over the summer that have got me itching to get back to developing. Huzzah. Also did a metric crap load of sketches and concept art for the Unreal mod class, and a little modeling and a lot of texturing. Still texturing their character right now. I'll post renders of him when he's done. The sketches, not so much. It's all sketchybook stuff that isn't interesting unless you happen to be in the class. Though that means...


Grad school begins anew. EEK.

oh well.
Lucky me that i've got a class to work on game ideas in. Develop more ceramics (OH YES) and work more on me 'skills of an artist'. (ha)

For some reason my hands decided to take a turn for the worse a couple weeks before school started. After a discussion with my mother, and some internet research, we decided that I would rest my hands for as long as possible, do streches, ice, ect. That meant NO COMPUTER TIME. none. it also meant no sculpture, drawing, gaming, sewing, beading, crocheting, or ANYthing else. I dont' want to have to have surgery. On the plus side is that my hands aren't as sore as they were. The down side is that now that the semester has started I really have to limit 'non-nessicary' computer time. Four computer classes is gonna be hard enough, so I have given up Diablo 2 for at LEAST a month, if not the entire semester. (those of you who play it know why. ) Doing extra art is going to be a hit and miss kinda thing for a while. Don't get me wrong, i want to do it, but for now i really just Can't.
So. I'm not dead. Just mildly incapacitated, for now.

So we went and fished it out.
This is probebly the first time I've even been happy that it's warm here. Even the creek was warm, which was a pleasent surprise. I'm used to the eel river, where it's cold even in the middle of the summer. Walked home sopping wet. So fun.

Comedycentral.com has a 'make a south park character' flash game, The one we made of me at school looked so much like me I made another one at home to put up here. It looks like me. I mean, it REALLY looks like me. BRILLIANT!

today was MUCH nicer. didn't get up til around 12. went and got two out of the 3 TMNT dvd's that are out. Coudlnt' find Return to New York ANYWERE! blast it! That means i'll be scouring Eureka once i get back home. Ah well. Party went well today as well. Some how I blasted people in poker. Something that is not at all normal for me. Seeing how i normally have no idea what i'm doing. woo! Was going to play some diablo tonight, but my hands are so sore and unhappy that i'm going to for go it for a week or so. Art to be presented at a much later date. probebly after a week of lounging and playing with kittens. Then the concept art will start pouring in.
