Ras'kahs story is on a roll now, please go to the sister gallery to give support to the story and it's team. All the concepts, story and hopefully even the comic itself after we resolve some stupid legal issue with publishing will be posted there.

Also you can join up as part of the team if you want to enter input, concepts, ideas and so on. Everything will be looked at and considered for sure, final word is by the main team though.

Right now we are focusing on concept design for the different races and species of the world of Tranglor, while and I spend the week getting world history, workings and ect done.

Also any of those who have created characters for the contest and want their characters part of the main story will be added to the characters gallery. Along with any art the creators or team does for them.

Anyways please drop by even if it's just to check things out and drop a suggestion or two to our hard working concept artist. It would be much appreciated.

Ok this is an out of the ordinary contest that requires no drawing though it's an added bonus if you do.

You get graded in parts so I am opening up the first part of the contest now which is the create a character. Basically start off by reading through the races list ( [link] ), your not limited to dragons so you can have a bit more fun. One thing to keep in mind is elements effect colouring on some races, espically dragons.

Fire= Reds, Yellows, Oranges
Air = Blues, Purples, Silver
Ice = Light Blues, Whites and Creams
Water = Deep blues, greens, and purples
Energy = Vibrants of any Colour
Earth = Red Greens Browns Oranges
Dark = Greys Purples Blues
Light = Yellows Beige Creams

Black and White are predominate in any elemental type and you can have other colours but main colour should be focused around types.

Also here are the following subtype magics

Fire (Offensive) - Earth based Fire(Magma) Air based fire (Firebreath) Mind based Fire (Fire Manipulation)

Air (Buff) - Eastern(Agility, increases speed) Western(Strength, increases well strength) Northern(Ice, increases ice powers if ice element as well) Southern(Fire, increases fire powers if fire element as well)

Ice (Offensive) - Air (Lowers Tempatures) Water (Freezes things, Ice Breath)

Water (Defensive/Healing) - Pure Water (Water wall/shield) Air/Water (Healing)

Energy (Offensive) - Air/Energy (Lightning)

Earth (Balanced) - Ground (Maniplution of Rock, and Terra), Plant (Manipulation of Nature)

Dark (Spec) - Shadow Step, Nightmare

Light (Spec) - Healing touch

These are just basis be creative

So how do you create a character, well you can draw one and add the character info, or maybe write a story introducing you character, or even just fill out a character sheet. Some things to keep in mind this is taking place on a world in rural fantasy settings, in which there is a war between the dragons and humans. The world is decaying and there is a lot of turmoil.

Dragons
Dragons otherwise known as Silaviran in the ancient tung we made by the Gods to watch over Tranglor and protect her from harm, though countless ages have passed these values are still held by most of the species but time has tainted some and instead they worry more for a higher gain themselves.

Dragons in this world are based on mammals therefore being furred and not scaled therefore the anatomy matching as well. Most dragons anatomy is similar to that of a wolf or bear but more elongated and with a bit of the traditional reptilian touch. They have three toes a foot if having any, and all dragons except for sea dragons have manes in varying lengths. Male dragons tend to be larger then females with broader snouts and a thicker body, where as females are more slender and have learner snouts. Also females may have cheek tuff though they never have chin tuff.

White Dragons are a rare and revered breed being a combination of all the elements, they are often seen as life givers. White dragons are void of all selfish thoughts truly devoting themselves to the protection of the terra and those that reside on it. Their colouring consist of white tans and creams with feathered wings and long manes. The counter to the white dragons are black dragons who's hate and selfishness has grown to a point that it has consumed them, being a void of magic and hence life for life is made of the elements.

Off spring of dragons are not always the type that the parents are and can vary especially when theres a mix in the family history. Hence though it is not common a land dragon can be born from to sky dragons. Dragons are also born in whatever form the parent chooses to give birth and though most dragons tend to stay in their normal form some dragons are born in human, this usually happens in a cultures where the two live side by side. Despite the fact that dragons can take human form though, human and dragons can not mate as the genetics are far to different. Also each dragon is born with an element, sky dragons with two. Their magic tends to also have a subtype, ie a earth dragon can be plant or ground.

Land - These Dragons have no wings and therefore cannot fly. Do not doubt there powers though as they are stronger physically then any other dragon and are usually faster. They depend on brute strength instead of elemental powers and are usually more rash and hot headed then other dragon types. Most land dragons are about 8 feet high at full height and 12 feet long, though size does vary. Their anatomy is based off of wolven, and bear skeletal, of course with a dragon like flare.

Sky - Sky dragons resemble your typical western dragon, though they are two legged and have arms for forelimbs. They are often based around two elemental types. Their manes are a pride of theirs as every sky dragon has one. Sky dragons being free spirited are often lazy and calm though they can be quite dangerous when ticked off. Sky dragons emotions are also eractic and mood swings happen often.

Water - Water dragons are hard to understand, they are mysterious and their ways of thinking are far different from humans along with emotions. They come in three types, sea dragons, river dragons, and other. Sea dragons look like long serpents, their bodies can be up to 120 feet long, and they have no limbs. River dragons look similar to your typical eastern dragon and are covered in long thick fur. The other specie of dragon is derived from land dragons, they occupy small bodies of waters, ponds, creeks, and possibly rivers so long as it is not the territory of a river dragon. Dragons other then the sea dragon though tend to be a lot smaller about the length of two horses.

Treasure - Treasure Dragons have a great love for well treasure and a major "shiny" complex ie; if it sparkles they must have it. These dragons are eccentric in nature, and vary vastly from dragon to dragon in personality. Treasure dragons have a knack for magic that most other dragons do not but they are weaker physically. Spend a lot of time in human form as they can be more accurate with creating and are well known for odd inventions. ie; artist, authors, most are inventors. as a side note treasure dragons are terrible bards.

Cleared some things up and well I'm feeling a lot better. Going to focus on the pieces I owe people for now and probably get another few chapters written of my story. Once I get the last of the contest winners out of the way I'll post the information for the world opening. My co-writer and I have been discussing a lot of the details and I think this event will be a fun one for everyone who enters. We're putting a lot of work into it.

One of the things i am interested in doing is opening my world for my watchers to create characters in, form their rebellion groups and what not and take an active part in. There are some complications though that put me at doubt.

A) The people interested are going to need to know a lot about the world and structure and all. I am willing to write it all out but I don't know how many will be up for the read

B) If the book/comic/whatever ever gets to the point of being published there will be complications if I include anyones character as they belong to the creators even if in my world. In other words I'd either have to include them in side stories or you guys could give me traits and stuff and in the end I create the characters on my own.

I know there is interest as I have been told in talk, polls, notes ect, so if people are willing to suggest some ideas, I am more then happy to find a way to include all who want to take part

To start off lets list down the main qualities of my dragons
- First things first, all my dragons are mammals, not reptillian
- Their anatomy is therefore based off of mammal anatomy, focusing a lot of wolf and feline
- Most dragons have three toes per foot, more or less is considered a mutation.
- The males are almost always larger then the females
- Almost all dragons with the exception of most water dragons, or thoese breed from water dragons, have manes.
- White dragons are a rare specie they are often feathered, with a long white mane and feathered wings.
- Off spring no matter what the dragon types are can sometimes vary, though it is not commom, therefore a land dragon can be born from two sky.
- All Dragons have a human like form.
-Each dragon is born with an element sometimes two, Fire/Ice, Water/Energy, Earth/Sky, Dark/Light, White (White is a combination of all elements and is very rare)
- Each magic aslo contains a subtype, ex Earth can be rock, or plant

Dragon Types

Land Dragon- These Dragons have no wings and therefore cannot fly. Do not doubt there powers though as they are stronger physically then any other dragon are bigger and usually faster. They depend on brute strength instead of elemental powers and are usually more rash and hot headed then other dragon types. Most land dragons are about 18 feet high at full height and 24 feet long, though size does vary. Their anatomy is based off of wolven, and bear skeletal, of course with a dragon like flare.

Treasure- Treasure Dragons have a great love for well treasure and anything shiny. These dragons are eccentric in nature, and vary vastly from dragon to dragon in personailty. Treasure dragons have a knack for magic that most other dragons do not but they are weaker physically. Spend a lot of time in human form as they can can be more accurate with creating and are well known for odd inventions.

Wyvern- Wyverns are dragons whom are often tamed by humans and are often used for warfare. Most Wyverns are usually shaved of their mane as it is easier to fight and also seen as a way of cutting their bonds from their kin, this is almost always done unwillingly. Humans force a bond upon them which makes the two suffer each others pain and share emotions and thought. Of course there are some who are bonded to humans willing. Very few free wyverns still exist.

Sky- Sky dragons resemble your typical western dragon, though they are two legged and have arms for forlimbs. They are often based around two elemental types. Their manes are a pride of theirs as every sky dragon has one. Sky dragons being free spirited are often lazy and calm though they can be quite dangerous when tipped off. Sky dragons emotions are also eractic and mood swings happen often.

For thoese who wanted to see more beasts other then Dragons in my gallery, your wish will be granted. I am being hired on as a monster/mob concept artist for an MMO. All my ideas will be posted here and any input would be fantastic.

I start off with a piece of paper and a pencil. I get the sketch out on paper, it takes me some time to do as I work in a constructive drawing style. When I am happy with the results I ink it with an inking pen. I'd give a brand but being the poor artist I am it is usually whatever I can get my hands on. Right now I am using a uniball vision (you can find them at walmart lol) Afterwards I scan the picture and pull it up in adobe CS2 9.0. The picture is coloured in layers from there and then posted on DA when I am done.

Do you take commision?
I wish I could but I have no way to set payment up right now. Mostly because I am computer deficient lol. I do on the other hand take request and art trades and randomly give out gift art.

Are your characters based on anything?
My characters are all part from a story, my friend and I have been working on for years. The actual idea was started by Lemia and after a long grilling on her world and working she allowed me to write within it.

Why don't you draw more realistically?
Because I hate doing so, don't get me wrong I can but after a year of fine arts I was happy to shift away from realism and fall into my own style. Though it is simple my art is based more around the actual characters, emotion, and colour.

You haven't responded to me lately... why? Am I that unimportant?
No one I watch or watches me is any less important, I watch almost 200 people and have over a hundered watching me. It is hard to keep up on art, as if I miss coming on even 1 day I have over 300 messages. If you feel I have been missing your gallery and pieces to much as of late send me a note, I am not trying to avoid anyone.

I sent a request in a while ago and you still haven't done it. Why?
Request are at the bottom of my list of things to do. I will get to them but they are art that I tend to feel the least passion for having no real ties to it. Art trades and my own art come first.

Personality: Kind and caring but a little distant. Hates the world around him and is only starting to see the good side to it after having met Taari and Davinar. (If I hear even one emo crack I swear)
Relation to Characters: Is son to Dart and Lemia, and close friend to Taari. Doesn't get along wellwith Davinar but tolerates him.

Eye Colour: Slate

Mane Colour: Orange (half mane, ends at shoulders)
Other: Has two horns on either side of head, has red purple stripes that line the body

Element: Fire/Air
Personality: Rash, blunt, and flamboyant. She can be easily angered but also calms down easily. Also is a leader of one of the human rebellion groups and is good at it despite her rashness.
Relation to Characters: Taari has few people she doesn't get along with thoese she doesn't though she hates with a firey passion. She is close friends with Davinar, Ras'kah, and Talisonar.

Hide Colour: Black with flame pattern

Other: Wears a necklace holding two blue feathers on it. Meaning unknown.

Personality: Has a good sense of humor but is cold and distant. Tends to be self deprecating and focus a lot on mistakes he made in the past.
Relation to Characters: Close friends with Taari and Talisonar but keeps even them at a distance.

Eye Color: Yellow
Hide Colour: Blue turning to orange on wings and Tail

Other: Has whiskers, related to a tresure dragon? o.O

Personality: Kind hearted and strong, holds a strong faith in her beliefs but can doubt them at times.
Relation to Characters: Oneof the few character who has met and is friends with Mortian. Is part of a taari's rebellion group though she tends to go off on her own.

Hide Colour: Molten Grey to Blue

Other: Decked in Armor made by his human rider
Race: Wyvern
Clan: Was a Irumur but was caught and raised by humans
Element: Dark
Personailty: Belives strongly that dragons were at fault for the world rot and that if he serves humans he can forgive his race their faults. Part of him knows that none is true but he can't believe it.
Relation to Characters: At war with them
