Also, I can't wait for all the awesome games that will be coming out this year and the next(Assassin's Creed 2, God of War 3, Dante's Inferno, etc.)

There's also a violent storm in the country and guess what? WE STILL HAVE CLASSES!

Sure, they quarantined DLSU for 10 days because of the incident, but everyday we hear about more students being infected. And since more people are getting infected, there also might be some students/staff from our school who might have gotten infected since we're like neighbors with DLSU with students from there and our school able to come in and out from our school premises.

Also, our school's attendance to the CGOverdrive event this year has been canceled due to the virus scare, so there are lots of students who are really pissed off since they already payed for the airfare and cost for the event.

And there's also trying to cope with the accident of my grandfather today. It might've been not really bothered him that much but heck, I'm still pretty shook up by it.

He's ok now, after 5 stitches and some medicine... he still can't remember clearly what has happened today, and I guess it's a good thing too, remembering what happened can really make one's stomach turn upside down.

So... yeah I'd very much like to say I'm ok, but maybe not a 100%, I guess I'm still barely hanging on.

...I'm slowly stepping out of my box and onto the "real world".

School has been hectic, as usual, even though we're only at the beginning of the term and only having 2 days of classes(until midterms come).

I've been applying for internships and OJT, I hope I get into at least one of the companies I've applied to!

I'm also uhh preparing for my thesis. It's kinda ambitious but it's not impossible so hmm... I hope I survive it

Oh, and I uhmm moved some stuff from my gallery since I'm preparing my portfolio now and I haven't done my website yet so my DA account will have to make do for now.

So yeah... that's uhh about it I have to get some shuteye now... I'm gonna be needing all the rest I can get.

My apologies again for not updating much here >__<

School started last week and so far I'm having fun with my acads (even though I'm stumped with majors ) I'm finally becoming a "Multimedia Artist"! I've been having fun learning 2d and 3d animation... as well as making an interactive cd and web design. I'm currently looking forward to my future AUTHOR classes (where we're making our interactive cd) because the topic I've chosen is very close to my heart.

The theme/topic I've chosen for my interactive cd is... METAL GEAR SOLID 4! I'm so excited and nervous about it because of all the coding we'll be doing for it... but our prof says that our next AUTHOR classes will tackle making a dvd menu and... basic GAME PROGRAMMING! Hopefully my head doesn't explode from all of that! I've always wanted to be involved in video game development and this will be a good opportunity to see if I have what it takes to make it into the video game industry hahaha!

I'll upload some of my works when I get the chance to, right now I'll be laying low and focus on my studies @w@

First of all, I'd like to say sorry for not replying to comments on my journal/deviations these past couple of weeks, school has been taking up most of my time and I haven't been able to check my messages because of it >__<

But I do want to thank all of you who did comment/fave/watch me! I really really really appreciate it!

I'll try and upload some of the work I'm doing these past couple of weeks once I find the time to O.O

Once I finish my school stuff(and commissions), I'm thinking of doing two things:

another short graphic novel
"themed" commissions

I only have vague ideas for the graphic novel(and I have to write the script for it =.= so I'm not sure how that's gonna work yet...

"Themed" commissions on the other hand is an idea that popped into my head which is mainly about doing more commission work but I think it's way cooler and easier for me and the commissioner. Basically.. I'd provide around 5 themes, post 'em in my DA journal and YOU get to choose one of the themes and then provide me a description of the commission within the boundaries of the theme you chose.

Err it's kinda hard to explain so here's a sample "themed" commission:

Theme:
"300"(movie)

Description:_{(commissioner will provide description)}
Uhh I'd like a pic of Leonidas killing an Immortal through a spear through the head ^__^

So basically, that's about it. The themes I'll be providing can range from something broad like "fantasy world with dragons" to something narrow like "naruto, konoha team 7(naruto, kakashi, sakura, sasuke)"

There's only one rule to this though... no 2 commissioners can pick the same theme. This rule is set so that no 2 commissions are.. well I guess the same So.. it's first come, first served

Why the "themed" commissions? Why can't we just provide the theme+description?

I came up with this idea because of time contraint. If I already have a theme in my mind, it would be easier to project the image and finish the commission faster. Well... that would be an advantage for me. For the customer, the advantage of it is, he/she might see a theme that interests him/her so.... basically, both of us would be able to communicate better regarding the commission, and both of us can have fun at the same time.

IT WAS FUCKING AMAZING.

As much as I'd like to elaborate more, tons of projects and schoolwork has kept me busy(besides playing MGS4) these past couple of days... which is also the reason why I haven't drawn anything new to post here in DA.

The trip to Singapore last week was HELLUVA LOT OF FUN. The CG Overdrive was great, I wish I could go back next year!

I finally met my friend, Jay, who helped me out a lot there(find out where I can buy cheap games and electronics) THANKS A BUNCH!

I got to buy Call of Duty 4, bought Grid and I bought a Grid shirt as well as the Collector's Edition MGS4 complete guide.

As for the conference, I'm kinda feeling down because I didn't get to finish my portfolio in time for CG Overdrive. Our school was asked out to dinner by the organizers with people from Ubisoft, Lucasarts/ILM, etc. were there to check out our portfolios. So it really sucks that I didn't bring mine... but hearing their comments on other portfolios they saw kinda pointed me towards the right direction for making a better portfolio in the future... so I guess it wasn't a total waste after all

The trip from Singapore really was exhausting, and coming back here to the Philippines reminded me of all the stuff I still needed to finish. ARGH. Good thing there's MGS4!


Anyway, I guess I can update more after our midterms, right now I'm really in a pinch with schoolwork IWISHTHISWILLBEOVERSOON

Well... yeah I got my teeth pulled out yesterday, and it was really traumatizing >__< I'm glad I had both of 'em pulled out instead of having 2 surgeries for it >__< after the surgery my jaw felt so... tired, and my mouth kept pooling with blood(until today) from it. I told doc I couldn't take any pain killers(mefanamic drugs) because I was allergic to it, so he prescribed me something else that wasn't mefanamic. After arriving home, I drank it then fell asleep. I woke up about an hour later and realized I haven't eaten lunch yet, I could only drink cold soup and ice cream that time so that's what I ate. After about an hour, my eyes started to get puffy. So I asked my sis to grab me my medicine for allergies(anti-histamine stuff) and drank it, but after a while my allergies weren't subsiding, I found it hard to breathe again and my eyes were so puffy I couldn't even open 'em

So, I asked my sis to call my mom, at that time I was really panicking 'coz I really couldn't breathe and see. Mom then told us to get a taxi and get me to the hospital ASAP.

I had my sis accompany me to the taxi(I was as good as blind!), with my grandpa accompanying me there. LOL 2nd time to the ER! I already knew the procedure, got my shots and was put to bed. The shots made me really sleepy so I quickly fell asleep there. Mom then arrived about an hour later then I fell asleep again. When I woke up, it was time to go home, my eyes were still puffy but at least I could see again!

Doctors from the hospital said that I was allergic to almost all kinds of pain killers except for the usual one I took for fevers, but that really wasn't that effective against pain so... yeah I guess I have to live with it >__< eek.

I'm really in a tight fix right now. I'll be going to this year's CG Overdrive in Singapore... and I'm really happy that my parents were actually okay with it(I was afraid we might not be able to afford the cost of the travel...) annndd, my dad's coming with me so... it makes me more happy! This will be me and my dad's first trip abroad(lol 1st time on a plane too) so... I got really excited about it.

THEN STUPID STUFF COMES UP. Like the weekly rise of the cost of gas(which affects EVERYTHING), +++ stuff for the travel, and just recently, 2 of my teeth(my wisdom tooth and the tooth right above it on my upper jaw) needed to be SURGICALLY REMOVED because they're not visible enough to pull out normally. It's been causing my excruciating pain this past week so doc says they need to be removed.

AND IT COSTS 10 friggin thousand(pesos) just to remove 'em. 10k THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OUR POCKET MONEY FOR SINGAPORE.

Lucky for and who have relatives who ACTUALLY GAVE THEM MONEY, I have relatives who ask US for money, but none give. So... me and my dad will be beggars in Singapore.

I hate that I'm having surgery tomorrow. I hate that my teeth are hurting. FUUUUUUUCK I WISH I HADN'T AGREED ON GOING TO CG OVERDRIVE.

me: kev and aya asked me how much is my allowance... I didn't know what to say. they all have relatives giving 'em money and stuff...

I know what they're trying to say. They gave that look when you can't give their kid what they need.

Seriously. I wanna cry right now.(because of my teeth too)

Yeah yeah, I'm still on art bootcamp. Only time will tell if I can make it or break it there >_< but it's really enjoyable there. I just wish I had a longer vacation so that I could spend time practicing my craft rather than do school stuff most of the time >__<

Uhh... what else... well, there's nothing much really... the past week or two I've been dedicating my time to drawing and reading stuff about art so I've been self-absorbed in my work >w<

I've also been primaraly using Photoshop these past couple of weeks... maybe this is a sign that I'd give up working in painter?

OH and I have a question for you guys who paint/draw digitally...

Do you find it easier/better starting things off as a b/w sketch(complete with shading and everything) then adding the colors later or you just like to start off with the colors then define your drawing later?

I've been curious since I often work with b/w drawings first before moving on to colors... hmm... maybe I need to practice a lot with colors in the future >w<

I have a LOT of growing to do, so... I'm going to a somewhat "art bootcamp" to hone my skills.

Which means, I'll be on a hiatus here in DA. I won't be posting anything that I can't see any significant improvement yet so I have a lot of stuff to improve on.

I won't be disclosing info on this "art bootcamp" just yet, but rest assured, I'll keep you posted if anything big comes up.

As for those who commissioned me, I'm still working on your commissions, hopefully I can give you something worth your money when I'm done with 'em

I'm also working on my portfolio, which will be composed of some of the best work I did the past couple of months as well as new stuff I'll be doing in the future.

I guess my "style" is a real mess as of now, I haven't gotten a grasp of a style which I can really call my own, since I'm constantly influenced by a lot of talented artists out there. Hopefully this "art bootcamp" will help refine my style into something that's me.

Okay, last night for some unknown reason I felt so sleepy that I had to sleep at 9pm. And then I had 3 dreams... first involving me, :iconinsanetourist and but I seem to have forgotten what it was about(although I can remember it to be really funny) and then I woke up.

I thought it was around 5am when I woke up from that dream until I saw our clock which told me it was 2:30am O__O damn, I guess I'm not used to sleeping early anymore hahaha anyway, after tossing and turning in my bed I fell asleep again... then I had a dream about Assassin's Creed well, unfortunately I couldn't remember that dream as well so

THEN, I had a dream about MGS4. I dreamt I already had the game, but my sister got the game disc scratched terribly it was a miracle I could still play it. In my dream I just finished killing off vamp then I remembered going after Meryl(lol) the game looked awesome but then I suddenly woke up.

It was 5:30am. I tried going back to sleep but I couldn't anymore. Then I had a sudden realization...

...I have no more munny left And MGS4 is just around the corner... GAHHH

I really need a part-time job!

Our finals are over! I'm kicked off the Dean's List this term(because of techdraw argh!) but I got really good grades for my other classes so... all was well

For our finals project, we were asked in our SONDESN(sound design) class to dub a 1-min video and add our sfx/foleys to the vid so... here is what me, ~kowan and ~reeza did for our finals...

On other stuff... I just got my METAL GEAR SAGA VOL. 2 DVD from a friend of mine and I just recently finished downloading and patching the METAL GEAR ONLINE BETA and I can't wait till beta starts!

The dvd is SO worth it, I felt like I was watching a documentary of the MG series... I only wish the cd was a bluray cd so everything will be in HD!

Yesterday, we did our community service thingy for our NSTP class and we got to teach some kids at a daycare center near school. I still stand by what I said to my friends before... I STILL DON'T LIKE KIDS. I still can't see how some people manage to put up with them. I tried all possible methods... trying to be nice to them, and trying to be a little strict with them, both still don't work! argh

Oh well... I just have to put up with it until the end of the term >.< just to pass this subject argh!

After dealing with the kids, me and finished our photoshoot for our Fotogra class in school. And boy, I'm glad we finished it, I just hope it turns out good once we get it developed >.<

When the shoot was done, we were supposed to be headed home(well, in my aunt 'n uncle's anniversary for me) when ~kowan brought up the topic of the new movie that came out, Jumper so... being movie 'tards we decided to watch it.

We rushed to the cinemas in record time and it was a good thing that there was still a 5pm showing(because we can't really stay there late in the evening)

Before the movie started, we checked out Timezone to see if we can play a few rounds of Tekken 6 but since there were so many people(hey it's a weekend!) we just watched some guy play the story mode of it using Anna and HE WAS GOOD. Just before applauding the guy when he almost beat the bonus round in the story mode... HE SQUEALED LIKE A GIRL. Me and ~kowan thought it was just the spur of the moment but when he lost the round... HE SQUEALED... AGAIN!

And then we found out he was... well, you know... that kind of person(I hope I don't sound insulting, I really like guys like him, it's just that me and ~kowan were really surprised)

was all watching the guy play tekken 6... because he was so good!

After watching him beat the game, we went on back to the cinema to watch Jumper which made us both say "OOOOHHHHHH~" at the movie.

I personally loved it and hope there's a sequel coming soon haha it was too fun to watch!

After the movie, ~kowan went home while I went to my cousin's house to celebrate my aunt and uncle's anniversary, ate lots of sushi and drunk LOTS of red wine which got me really REALLY drunk which was bad because I remember saying lots of embarrasing stuff to my sister and cousin >.< eck lol

And now I have a really bad hangover. Good thing I didn't puke.

I admit I haven't been posting much in DA... because I have nothing to post here! These past 2 weeks I've been busy with school and RL stuff. And right now I'm very much sad and barely making it every week financially because of our Photography class and other classes >.<

as much as I want to post something new, I can't think of anything right now Maybe I just need to clear my head for a while

Oh, and valentines day is coming up...

Wait... it's SINGLE AWARENESS DAY! Yes I am still very bitter about valentines day especially with what happened these past couple of weeks with a certain someone.

Sometimes I just don't know if I'm just plain stupid for not realizing it, or everything is really made so that this would be the end result.

I guess I'm just angry, because it just doesn't end.

I was okay from Mon-Wed but apparently, I wasn't fit enough to carry a heavy load of stuff(heavy... literally) and my body didn't take it well so come Thursday evening, I was suffering badly from FLU with my whole body aching and I couldn't move at all!

It was a good thing I didn't have classes on Thurs and Fri, but the flu I had caused me to miss an important meeting in school which I terribly regret!

I thought I was gonna be okay come Saturday but waking up to a high fever and really sore throat made me miss my class that day .

I still had a really sore throat by Sunday, which made it really hard to swallow stuff and talk so I AM STILL IN AGONY~

...but at least I'll be able to go to school tommorow

It was happy seeing ~insanetourist06, ~kowan and the others again. This is probably the most uneventful first day of classes ever since nothing much happened(except when ~kowan gave us lots of chocolate from the US to eat). Although throughout the day I was still bothered by finding a part-time/freelance job soon. It seems like I wasn't the only one who's desperately looking for a part-time job. A couple of my friends were also asking around about job opportunities so... we're all pretty much in the same boat.

I could feel anxiousness now... and a sort of newfound responsibility I have to carry. Dad only found out today that I'm looking for a part-time job. He insisted that I save up what I can from my allowance(even if I already do that) I don't think he wanted me to go look for a job yet. But my mom really wanted me to go look for work *sigh*

I feel like a kid again, feeling my way through the dark in this new world called "adulthood". I envy those who don't have to worry about stuff like this. Those who still enjoy being provided for by those around them. A part of me says that I should be ready for this. A part of me doesn't want to and still enjoy being a kid.

When it all came down to it, it was a matter of how much I wanted to accomplish the stuff I wanted to with what I'll (hopefully) be earning.

I want to go to Singapore for this year's CG Overdrive.

I want to pursue our cosplay plans for Toycon 2008.

Dad told me to give up the cosplay plans for Toycon 2008. I said, "I'll only give it up if it comes into conflict with the date of the CG Overdrive."

Toycon will be on June 14-15. CG Overdrive will be on June 17-20.

I still *might* make it. I don't want to give up the cosplay gig because what we're planning is something that's gonna be BIG. CG Overdrive is something I've wanted to go to ever since like I heard of it.

The goal has been set. Now is my time to go ahead and reach it.

Assassin's Creed is AMAZING. Despite all the negative reviews and the occassional graphic hiccups and game freezing, I LOVED IT. I wasn't too involved with the story in the first half of the game but as more questions arose, and some semi-expected plot twists came up... damn WHY IS IT A CLIFFHANGER???

Oh well haha I guess I'll have to wait another 2-3 years before the sequel comes up

In the past years, I used to complain how lonely I was during my birthday because so little people remembered my birthday. Because it's Christmas holidays, all of my friends were either out of the country/out of town so I really couldn't organize a party.

These recent years, I AM REALLY THANKFUL to all of my friends who greeted me, ESPECIALLY my GamesMaster forum buddies who greeted me this year! From all of my friends, it was from you guys that I wasn't expecting Birthday greets from... since we don't get to talk to each other as often as we did before. THANK YOU.

I'm not so hyped about FFvs13 anymore... everyday since the extended FF13 trailers came out on the net I've been seeing fanarts popping up like flowers during spring in DA's front page. I'm kinda not happy about it because most of them are supposed to be FFvs13 fanarts but they don't even look like the character from the trailer!

At last! Now I can breathe a sigh of relief. Finals are over and all I'm waiting for now is our SPO Christmas party and course card distributions. I think I did well, I hope I make it to the dean's list this term!

I"ll be submitting more art in the next couple of days now that the Christmas issue of our school paper came out and our literary folio, Shades of Gray is out too! I'll be submitting some of the works I did for 'em soon once all the copies are out on the stands

Everyone has something to be proud of, and something to be ashamed of... like being a studious person, the fastest runner in school; or embarrassing stuff like snoring really loud, having a collection of backstreet boys memorablia... stuff like that

And so... my randomness switch is on so I was wondering what are YOU proud of? What are YOU most ashamed of?

I know I have a couple of 'em...

The good:
1.) I'm almost never late for my first class(whether it's 7am)
2.) I know my way around the metro. I also know when(and what days) there is heavy traffic in an area and know at least 1 alternative route(with lighter traffic) through it. AND I don't even drive lol
3.)I can perform cartwheels and rolls(like an action star! LOL)
*uhh these are the best I could think of right now, maybe I'll add more later... )

The ugly:
1.) I'm a messy person. I RARELY organize my stuff so... my room's a complete mess lol
2.) I eat, a LOT. Most of my friends who always hang around with me knows about this. I get hungry fast so I need to keep eating something lol. Good thing I never gain much weight from it haha
3.) I'm a forgetful person. I easily forget birthdays and names of people I just met. I'm better with remembering faces though lol

I'd like to get to know the people who read this journal and I thought this'd be something fun to start that off hahaha

I dunno why most people diss the hitman movie so much, I know it doesn't really stay true to the video game but it was really entertaining to watch. Putting aside the fact that Timothy Olyphant is a bad actor and the story lacking depth, it was a fun watch I especially liked the action scenes but it could've been made more epic and exciting. The ending was a bit of a let down though... it was cheesy and not really exciting

BUT, it really was fun! The movie had lots of potential but it didn't deliver like what I expected.

In conclusion, it was an AVERAGE movie. (if you're an action nut like me, I guess you'll kinda like this too)

My biggest project for next year is this group cosplay for the Toycon and it's gonna be EPIC(for me of course!) I've only told a handful of people about it(for help with the costume) so if you're one of them don't spoil the fun yet! haha

We're pretty serious about this cosplay so all of us are really putting are time and effort on it as early as now and... I'm really excited how this will turn out to be!

...but happy at the same time!

I was with and most of the time and we met up with my HS friends, , (who was busy handling stuff during the event). I also met and who cosplayed Sasuke(shippuden ver.) and Ichigo from Bleach respectively. Mr. was also there as a Nazi cosplay judge.

After selling all of the stickers I had, I met this REALLY COOL Naked Snake/Big Boss cosplayer who also happens to have a DA--->

I have to admit I was really shy to approach him at first 'coz I didn't know him but it turns out he was a really friendly guy who likes MGS as well so... yay!

Too bad I didn't get to stay up until the end of the event 'coz I had to leave early but I had so much fun after a long time... I hope there's another UP AME event next year!

This virus, codenamed "UST scandal" made my yahoo messenger go haywire and since this is a new virus, my current antivirus program(AVG free) wasn't able to delete it. Getting rid of this annoying virus, I had to delete it faster than it can detect me, 'coz it closed the window whenever I was looking for the solution in the internet.

So... thanks to everyone who helped me find the solution for my problem!

I still have to buy a new dvd-rom though... but right now, I have to focus on other things first!

Again, thanks to everyone who helped! I really can't risk having my laptop die on me now... especially if I haven't backed up my files yet! haha

A few days ago, my laptop was unfortunately infected by a really freaky virus that scared me and my friends whom I'm chatting with in Yahoo Messenger.

I'm suspecting my memory stick for my PSP to be the culprit behind this. As I plugged my card reader with my mem stick to my laptop, POOF! hello virus!

My yahoo messenger went haywire and the mouse pointer was MOVING BY ITSELF in a steady upward diagonally left and started sending this "UST scandal" file which made me go O__O.

Then it started sending IMs to the people I was chatting with before YM went haywire telling to download the file in FILIPINO.

So, automatically, the only thing going thru my head that time was "SH!T! SOMEONE IS HACKING MY LAPTOP!" I panicked and pulled my card reader but it didn't stop what was happening in YM. I couldn't control the mouse pointer and all the stuff that's been happening in my laptop so I pulled my network cable and fortunately what's been happening to YM stopped.

I missed the deadline for my comic strip because of it. I was so afraid of opening any other programs in my computer as well as shutting it down(because I might not be able to open it again if my laptop was really hacked) so... using meebo I apologized to my friends and asked what to do.

My norton antivirus was f*cked up because it expired a long time ago so I can't really trust it so you could imagine how much I panicked, fearing that I might have to reformat my laptop and not being able to create backup files for my stuff because my dvdrom was busted and I have yet to save up money to buy a new one

EVEN THOUGH I sorta had my laptop fixed today in school, YM won't connect and it really looks like I do have to reformat this

Still, I am hoping there's someone who could offer another solution for now...

IF I HAD MONEY, I'D ALREADY HAVE MY LAPTOP REPAIRED. Unfortunately, I still owe and some other people money so it might be a while before I could get this repaired... AND TO THINK THAT THE UP AME CONVENTION IS DAYS AWAY. I'm not finished with the stuff I'll be selling there and I might not have time to so... WAAAAAA

Although I won't be selling comics/manga/other stuff there, I'll be accompanying friends from school and the whole WoT(namely me, devinsanetourist06: and ~kowan) will be there!

I can't say if I'm actually gonna spend ANYTHING during the convention but lots of my friends will be going there to sell the comics they made so I'll be there giving them moral support as they sell their stuff!

will be selling SECRET stuffies there too! So, if you're curious about it, I guess you can ask her about it since I'm not allowed to talk much about it lol

Since I'm not really gonna spend anything during the con, I'll be going there with a surprise for everyone who'll see me there(some of you already know it) wahahaha

On Beowulf...

me, , , , (and her boyfriend jasper) all went to see Beowulf today at IMAX theatre with ~kowan,~aloisius and ~kinjiru006 treating us to the movies and food(THANKS A BUNCH GUYS!)!

It was my first time watching in an IMAX theatre and the whole experience was a lot of fun!

The movie err... made me so much

Some parts were poorly animated(minimal facial expressions, awkward animated moments, WTF horseback riding, and the funniest running Beowulf I've ever seen) and some moments made my eyes hurt(I'm not used to watching 3d movies lol) BUT the story was GOOD!

I can't say the movie was amazing as 300 or the Transformers but it was fun to watch. The one thing I can praise in the movie is the EXCELLENT facial TEXTURES(those damn faces look real... except their expressions lol)

and the 3d is a plus factor where me, ~kinjiru006 and ~aloisius made "grasping breast movements" towards the 3d moments in the film

so... would I recommend this to anyone? I guess I could. I didn't find the movie as striking as 300 or the Transformers BUT the movie shows technical prowess and it's really cool to watch in 3d so if you have the chance to watch it, WATCH it!

I might not be able to post sumthin tomorrow so I'll take this time to write something here today O.o

It's been a hectic week for me, I have yet to reply to comments left for my previous deviations/journal entries and whoooo~ I'm destroying my body clock by staying up until early morning

I dunno exactly what I need right now... sleep? Maybe but recently I never get enough sleep that I want even during weekends *sigh*

I can't WAIT for Christmas vacation. I just want to get away from all these things that I need to do right now and find some moment for myself. Watch some TV, draw trad art play music, etc.

Drawing is EXHAUSTING. It's fun at first but when you're faced with stuff that you need to finish ASAP like plates, projects and stuff... it gets really tiring. I dunno how does it lol I guess he's just ABUGA.

So yeah, basically I feel like beef tapa left in the stove for too long. Cook it too short and you end up eating it raw(which I don't like) leave it too long and it gets too hard(still yummy though) Hmm... some weird analogy but I really feel like I'm in a stove sizzling too long that I become hard and tough to chew(although still yummy)

Oh my, too much RANDOM BABBLES. I guess I really DO need to sleep now.

I heard about Ben coming to the Philippines from about a month ago but I was too busy to get him and myself registered for his talk in our school on November 5. I thought I was never gonna have the chance to meet him but thanks to mom, dad and my sis, I got to meet, talk, get and autograph and doodle WITH Ben Templesmith today!

For those of you who don't know, Ben is the artist of the graphic novel "30 Days of Night" and the "Silent Hill" graphic novel adaptation.

So... a day before I met him, I checked out his blog and prepared the stuff I'll be needing when I meet him. I was an hour late for the ~ArtistsDen forum with Ben Templesmith and 3 guys from the local comic book industry(sorry I forgot their names). I got there around 3pm today and listened to some Q&A and I got to ask him a question of my own(lol) and I learned a lot of new stuff from him and the others.

After the forum, I got to chat with him 1-on-1 for a bit, telling him about me not being able to go to his talk at our school because I had classes which resulted in an unexpected reply from him:

ben: why?
me: I have classes during that time so I can't come
ben: (I can't remember exactly what he said but he sorta asked me to skip classes)
me: I wish I could but I have midterms >__<
ben: Oh damn, midterms SUCK!

after chatting with him, we finally went to the Atrium of Fully Booked where the Art Jam was going to be held. All of us were given pens to doodle on lots of white cartolina. I honestly didn't know what to draw during that time so... I just let my hands move on their own and flow whatever's running through my mind. Ben on the other hand, also doodled with his pen and used some of the Starbucks coffee he was drinking as paint for his first doodle.

My dad and my sis were taking photos most of the time and I have them to thank for taking most of the good shots of me and Ben. In one shot which I only saw a couple of hours ago was me and Ben holding our own cameras taking photos of the doodle we drew. In the photo my sis took, I recently noticed that Ben took a pic/video of my work O__O

I knew he was making a video log of the art jam but I never would've expected him to notice my work.

So naturally, I was having a fangasm inside lol

After my 20 min. doodlin', I got to talk to Ben again for around 15 mins before heading off to the autograph signing table where I got my Ben Templesmith Artbook signed and a FREE DOODLE from him!

I could never feel any luckier.

I honestly never thought that I'd get to talk to Ben that much during the whole time but he was surprisingly a really nice guy with a good sense of humor. I hope to meet him again someday!

I feel so disconnected even though I'm online most of the time these past few weeks @.@

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been experiencing a lot of shitty things(sorry for the term) lately and I really wasn't in the mood to draw/write anything the past couple of weeks.

Sorry for not being active in DA... I was busy with a lot of stuff these past weeks and the time I have for checking my DA and replying to messages grow small >__<'

So... anywayz, right now I'm counting down my days to when I FINALLY get a PSP slim! I'm really excited about it... I've never had any portable game consoles before and I just made do with the games I have on my cellphone so... this is really an exciting moment for me

Of course, having a PSP has its downside to... like giving up the wacom intuos 3 12x24(not sure 'bout the size) that my mom was supposed to give me as a prize for being on the Dean's List 2 terms ago as well as the SUBSIDY for my tuition fee for working in the SPO which was supposed to go to me(well, that's what my mom said).

So... I'm practically paying half of the price of the psp with my subsidy... so much for that haha

I might be posting some of the works I did for school soon so... better watch out for that

There's one good thing about this new term though... every day of the week(except weekends I guess... that's the only time I can get some rest lol) I get to draw(as required) for my classes! FINALLY some proper drawing lessons!

I might post some of the works I did in the next couple of weeks... right now, I'm trying to cure my VERY ugly cough and colds @.@ and finish stuff for SPO before friday. Good luck to me @.@
