My Bday is Black Friday this year (day after) we are going to go see a Jim Henson exhibit at the museum for it, and have gay cake and stuff. I am very excited I wanted to see Where the Wild Things Are with my friends this weekend but apparently it's going out of theaters ALREADY (and right before this weekend as it was playing last weekend)? like srsly WTF. Gotta make room for those 4 screens of Twilight ug. o__o

Also I've been having a blast playing TF2 - lots of funny people in there. I'm slowing becoming a not-total-fail Spy...especially since I FINALLY got a Clock and Dagger (I'm such a voyeur hurrr ) and I am feeling pretty good as Medic [ getting the hang of that syringe gun ] Keepin on keepin on!

It was a smaller sized con in King of Prussia PA, it was Sat-sun. I made money in Artist alley , saw friends, was a sexy awesome Fujimoto, and had fun seeing cool cospays as usual. Expect a video up in a week or so. I didn't finish my blue white striped Fuji coat yet, but I wore this AWESOME striped really-from-the-60's jacket my mom gave me, it's the same style as his stuff just it's like different colors of stripes! It looked really nice with my wig/makeup/cravat (I made the cravat the MORNING of the con sat and it turned out really nice!) I'll post pics if I got any good ones, or if someone sends me one they got.

There was even a TF2 panel Sun morning held by this amusing bloody-labcoat RED Medic I saw the other day (she bought one of my medic hair clips on Sat) I even threw on my pimp white 'labcoat' thing (A coat I've had since high school), my medic boots, and some nitrile gloves and did lazy BLU Medic for it lol. I sold my medic bubble pins/clips to some Scouts and Medics who were there as well as other cool people.

To people interested in a Moomba: I shall promise to get one made within the next month to get up on Ebay to sell. I'm sorry for the long wait, he's just such a complicated pattern to cut/sew I was focusing on lots of little projects instead of the one big one. X3

In other news I got a job working at this business down 95 which distributes vending machines. It's not bad, they people are nice there, and pays well - but yea, it's money. I'm saving up for having a cushion to have the ability to move towards places in my CAREER path (ART stuff obviously). but it's nice to have a steady source of saving income besides random commissions and my crafts, which is GREAT too of course and I love meeting all the nice people at cons who like/buy my work ....but yea....steady income is nice too.

Team Fortress 2
You don't even WANT to know ALL the angst I went through to try make Steam work on my computer (TRUST me I picked that troubleshoot FAQ apart). But basically it wasn't connecting to Steam to finish it's update/install, however did so FINE on another computer in the same house. The magical way I got it to work on my computer was by copying the whole Steam folder from the PC it worked on my PC. And viola, fine. o_____o Downloaded TF2 / Garrys mod no problems! I went "yay I got it to work!" to Steam support and they responded:

I love my headset talking to the other players, it's a riot if you get some funny/good natured people on the server. And some were very amused I was a girl. XD Well, I vow to be a top notch Support class player! And it must be fate cause the first two items I unlocked (through the random granting system) were The Blutsauger and The Ubersaw >D ! Hell yea!

Tho a TF2 Medic cosplay would be VERY Halloween appropriate Tho a lot more work than Fuji so I might go with him in lu of time.

Otakon was GREEAAAT this year! I had a lot of fun! I got to see Duckie, Marcie, Tonks, meet Anna, and also meet a girl I met on OK Cupid for the first time. I also met lots of nice people at the con, even some new friends, miss you already ;3; I sadly did not finish Okami in time... We got a LOT done tho I need to take pics. I wanna be done by winter now so I can get pics in the snow!! I am not mad or sad about not finishing, so don't feel bad for me I'm cool. <3 we did out best and we have a lot worked out now, I'd rather it be done RIGHT then rushed anyway.

Instead I cosplayed ttly-thrown-together-in-two-days costume of Henry Wong from Digimon Tamers. It was an epic win excuse to carry around my life size official Terriermon plushie It was GREAT I got some many 'zomg Digimon <3 <3 !!!' fans yelling at me. So nostaligic! I also met super nice people at the two photoshoots. I posted pics of those shoots here: [link]

I also cosplayed Shibi of course , and Shino at the Naruto Prom in a suit. I met a super cute Hinata we had fun together! I'll have more pics/video of Otakon up sometime soon (just editing them together).

We took a trip up to Canada for a bus camp out 'Buses of the Corn'. It was fun too - swimming in the great lakes is wonderful ;w; *swimming around like a dolphin with her flippers and mask* I wish we could have had more time at that one campground where I swam...also I wish it had been sunnier (It was cloudy all weekend). There was some drama with getting home monday morning dad's car was getting similar symptoms to our ill fated Ohio trip just around the Canada border XDD

...but we found the blockage in the fuel line this time, and lucky no more came down so we made it home okay. Though for like one night (we stayed overnight, this was unplanned, at a random hotel in upstate New York. We were cranky stressed and tired so we just stopped and didn't wanna risk it REALLY breaking down like in the middle of the night.) we were thinking we were going to have to spend hundreds of dollars to get us all home in time for mom to get to work. o___o It was not fun.

This past Sunday we saw Ponyo in theaters. It was SUPER DUPER awesome, SO beautiful!!! The animation makes me weep with Animation Nerdy joy. It reminded me of Totoro - a more slice of life with magic interjected movie - like calming and simple with no violence or stuff, perfect for younger kids but also kept us older kids amused - especially with Sosuke's crazy mom and Ponyo's father Fujimoto, who I LOVE .

So far, it is looking good, I have about 1/2 of the foam padding on the suit and dad finally has a good vision for the hand gear and head rigging. Plus we already have from LAST year the tail / disc / gear for it made, like pretty much all the materials worked out, life size sketch, and research for how to make a quadsuit. As for the plush the fabric is due here any day and I'm really fast now at plush design so it should go fine

PRAY FOR US, SEND US GOOD KARMA, or whatever. PLEASE. We shall need it.

The con was awesome! I liked the new location A LOT. And Duckie was there so it was 100% even more awesome!! We all found a yummy 24 hour diner on Friday night, we got screwed by the Garmin finding the Ruby Tuesday and went to White castle instead (but that's cool too I love white castle! XD) . STUPID Garmin it was like 500 feet down the street >( WTF?! it had to find the one like 6 miles away as the closest one and it wasn't EVEN THERE. IT DIDN'T EXIST! XD

I got lots of fangirl hugs as Orochimaru, pimped my Aburameness as Shibi on Friday and have out buggies out a few Aburame fans (two younger girls of which I kept seeing ALL weekend they were funny) Cosplay chess (I was Oro in that) I was like the third to die but oh well. It was funny I ran on board when Solid Snake died and was like SNAKKKkkkeeee!! The dating game was amuzing as human Okami, tho our bachelor was something to be desired :U hahaha

I was sad I did not get a table, but I was busy running around and having fun, so it's cool. I did see Joani and crew ( ) in the alley tho!! YAYY!!! I have not seen them since last year! They are so awesome. LUFF YOU GUYS!

My AMV looked awesome up on the big screen - sadly the contest on Friday was like EMPTY I have no idea, I have never seen an AMV contest hall so EMPTY. :U I didn't win but it's cool, I forgo to vote for myself anyway, maybe it would have made a difference? :/

FIND of the weekend (I think it was Kat or Charity who found it I forget who) - A SHINO WALLET. OFFICIAL MERCHANDISE. NO KIDDING. We were digging through a bin of Naruto wallets and they had all kinds of new styles we'd never seen before. THEY HAD TENTEN!!!! THE WORLD HAS IMPLODED!!!! And it is a sexxxxy sexy wallet. I almost don't want to actually use it but omg ;3; I was just so happy to find something with Shino. I also bought a CUTE as heck Hinata pin and a Kiba keychain (which they FINALLY MADE too) They never make anything with him, I own like the two figures they made of him, the kiba/Shino notepad of paper, and that's like IT, no keychains, no plush, no pins, no nothing. >(

Apparently the rave was amazing too, I was too dead on Saturday night to go, lack of sleep headache and whatnot. But it was good to hear a rave somewhere was good *cough OTAKON COUGHTfIXyOURrAVE :U *

But yea good stuff. And I started work at Girlscouts today, besides some supplies-not-being-in-on-time snaffoo it's just as fun/hetic as I rememebr it. Yay!

And the bad news...

Okay so I disappeared for a little while there - this is because my video card decided to go FZZZT on me. XD

For those of you who don't know my computer - it's a massive customized 2005 Dell XPS Gen 5 [link] and weighs as much as a small child. XD And can sometimes whine like one when the 7 internal cooling fans throughout are working hard.

My video card, (Which takes up two slots: [link] and is pretty sexy X3 ) albeit now 'outdated' still preforms wonderfully as it was so top of the line in 2004 when it came out most computers available didn't have the power to RUN it. IE it still can run Maya 7 or Sims 2 or Fable fullscreen with all the graphics set high. *humps computer* That, and the max amount of ram I can run on Windows XP, and a dual core processor, I'm good for most things. :3

So I opened my computer for it's bi-yearly dusting (will all those fans it sucks up dust like a swiffer) and I must have touched the video card funny or put it back wrong, as I took it out to clean it better as it has it's own fan and is wedged in there right next to the cooling tower...

I plug everything back in and go to turn it on....

Nothing.

Just fan noise and some nice error lights that translated to 'your video card is fucked'.

So we open and re-seat (take it out an put it back in) the video card, again nothing. We re-seat it it AGAIN, and nothing for multiple tries. We were pretty sure at this point it was dead.


We put in a generic video card we had lying around to see if the motherboard was okay - it was. And let me tell you running a computer on an old video card, is HILARIOUS. Just moving a window across the screen is goes JUMP...JUMP...WRRR....JUMP.

I sigh and we search fancy sexy new cards. I have the money saved which is nice - cause my computer ain't getting no shitty 50 dollar last gen video card - with all the graphics and video editing and games I play I need at least a $140 higher end card. Luckily there are things in my price range that are considered 'average' by today's standard and are even more powerful than what I got now

On a whim I put my card in one last time, and IT WORKED....! like WTF?? It was so random.

So as of this writing I am running on my old card, but since it HAS been sometimes giving me some errors (once it gave me an 'overheating' warning, and I've gotten blue screens of death when taxing it doing things :U )

So I am still going to buy a new one.

But yea, I was so pissed I thought >I< had done something to kill my computer ;3; I am always so careful with it and take good care of it, I was just so MAD if I had done something WRONG. You know? But it's good it's still working for now !

Just got back from Animazement 2009 in Raleigh. I had a LOT of fun! It was the people that made it amazing - so many nice and funny cosplayers and random experiences, and of course it was great to hang out with Kelly, Neko, George, Steve, Ne-chan, and crew! I liked the location it was very comfty, and did not feel super annoying crowded and understaffed like Otakon gets (I'm beginning to like these smaller cons more... X3 )

I was casual school clothes Shino most of the time (easier for manning my artist alley table) but was also Orochimaru for the Naruto shoot, and Shibi all Saturday evening. :3 I met a cool timeskip Team 8 group of friends who all go to military school together, the Shino I especially made friends with and we walked around as 'father and son' all Saturday night it was great ! I also ran around with some Digimon cosplayers, and saw lots of oldschool stuff like Cardcaptor Sakura, Sailor Moon, and Yugioh.

I had fun at artist alley, and sold a lot too! Yay money! Always good. And I met a lot of nice people.

Chao-fangirl is a fellow plush artist and bought two of my large plush (A Le-Le and a little guy called 'Heartful' ). Yes I've been very busy I hope to get pics of all my new work up soon. X3

I got to see LOTS of friends ;3; , even Heather ( ) who came form Atlanta to see Laika too - and Caroline ( ) surprised me on Friday! Kenya very kindly let me stay with her in her extra bed, thank you! I also got to see Jenna, Al, Emily, Lilly, Hal & Nancy, Ian, Kyle, Laura, omg the list of names... It was like a SCAD reunion.

Laika sent their Lead Fabricator from Coraline - Georgina Hayns, as well as their recruiting department lead Kristin (I did not catch her last name ;3; ). Both women were VERY kind and very fun to listen to, really personable ladies. They brought (it was a surprise) an ACTUAL Coraline puppet from production, an armature (made from bits of othermother and Coraline LOL) and maquettes of Father and the cat.

We sat in on Hal's class (THANK you Heather for telling me about that and bringing me!! ;3; <33 ), and also went to the official presentation where we saw behind the scenes stuff and they talked and took questions about Laika.

Then most awesome for me and the other highly talented stop mo kids of SCAD who would just DIE with joy to work for this amazing new studio was some of us actually got to have individual SIT DOWN INTERVIEWS with them! It was not a formal interview, as they are not hiring at this exact moment, but are looking for candidates. they even looked at my REEL with ME! It was awesome. I will try and keep posted and I would be overjoyed to get a call or email from them at a point in the future...

Also Al introduced me to a man named Chris - who works at the Savannah Puppet People Studio. If only I was living in Savannah, I could basically start working right away! They do shows and make puppets, like foam and plastic puppets (like Muppet kinda vein, not that LOOK, they mostly do human like puppets actually, but hand puppets like that size / stuff). I just don't have the money saved to relocate. And I'd need to work out pay and stuff, to see if me moving would be worth it. The experience WOULD be amazing though, I'll need to think about it...and get more definites on that situation.

So yes an amazing time....! But now back to commissions and making stuff in time for Animazement, where I will be selling things at my artist table!

Custom Plush


I specialize in character plush, of animals, people, or anything inbetween. I am most comfortable NOT doing UFO catcher style for humanoids. Most of my humans are the leggy style like this [link] (NOTE old plush is OLD :'D I can do better now.... but the style is basically the same). But I CAN do chibi, but it won't be like a usual UFO style, that just isn't how I roll. So come to me if you want something different

Plush pricing depends mostly on complexity, or if the plush is above or below average size (Average is 6-12"). If special order fabric is needed that is a little more too (but I don't charge you for all the cost of the special fabric cause I get to keep the leftovers of course, of which there is usually a lot).

For an average size character plush most quotes are in the $90-150 range, but will be more for a lot of detail or extras, or something really BIG. Expect at least $90 for any character plush. Something simple or small (like a kawaii face fruit, a pillow in the shape of a fox head, a mochi, etc) are of course less! :3

I can do extras like wiring, jointing, wool hair, clothes, clay eyes, etc......in styles of Chibi, "Plush" (some simplification to make you character a little more 'cuddly'... more plush like! ^^ ), or Proportionate (usually wired, most detail, like your reference as much as possible)

Too much to write, but to sum it up shortly we played a lot of rock band (with our own custom made characters! of like Lither, Asmodai, Felix and stuff), went to four Astros baseball games (My first major league game ever X3), the Houston Zoo (SO many cute animals... ;3; Red Pandaa! ) , the museum on free day (complete with dancing in the disco lit gemstones section where they were playing Smooth Jazz...? XD) , real Tex Mex, Whataburger, and Duckie's old High School to talk to the art kids about college. Good stuff.

In other news me and rented something called REPO: the Genetic Opera cause it caught our eye on the rental store shelf. We expected some lulz and maybe some nice visuals, but it was actually REALLY cool. And we LOVED the music. It was an OPERA! They sang everything! Kat instantly bought the soundtrack of Itunes. It is ttly the next 'Rocky Horror' cult film, as it is the perfect combo of cheeze, insanity, music, style, and sorta plotline. It is a little gorey tho in parts not for everyone (Think over the top like Watchmen or sin City). Tho really stylish style and cool characters and omg good singing.

That's like 5 few days after I get back for my planned visit to Duckie's....and I'm seriously considering going down there just to have my portfolio reviewed and giving them my resume.

I'll be making some calls today like to SCAD Alumni services to see how quick I can get my Alumni card down there and if this'll will be worth it, also to my teacher Hal (Stop motion guru / professor) about if he thinks it'll be worth it, and to friends if anyone can take me in for two-four days while I'm down there and let me sleep on their floor / in bed with them (*nudges Amy* ) and maybe give me a ride to/from the Savannah airport.

I'm hoping they will see how serious I am if I drop everything to get my ass down there just to see them. Also I'm a graduate I'm available ANYTIME (not still in school). Well even if nothing comes of it, even if they go "hur hur that's nice next" at my work (which I don't think would happen... like I wouldn't go if I didn't think I had the skills and work to show ) I'll get to see some friends still in Savannah, and my teachers again. It's just such short notice and I'll be on a trip RIGHT before, I'm all stressed thinking about if I should do it or not and if I can get my flatbook / reel spiffed / printed in the time after I get back...

I'm flying out to Texas in less than 2 weeks to visit ! I think it finally hit me? (We planned it about 2 months ago). I have not hung out with her really since I graduated, though we did briefly at AnimeNEXT and we hung a little at Otakon (but not much cause she was as working at her parents ADV tables.) I really miss her T^T (And Nick, Amy, Jenna, Heather, Ned, Dia, Kenya, Al, and many others...)

Also speaking of super I fianlly actually sat down and watched some episodes of Superjail. Like...wow...just wow.

It's always nice to see animators having fun, and hell did the must have had fun animating that show. The Warden is flippin hilarious. It kinda is like how my brain looks inside actually, only less on the over-the-top-violence and more on the random and a lot more women involved

Chapter 440 I won't spoil it for those who have not read it but DAMN....just damn. Slightly Plot no Jutsu but also kinda cool. :'D

Soul Eater Saw the first ep and I liked the art style / the idea of the series, I might give this one a watch sometime.

I was so shocked they filled up so fast! I was really hoping - expecting to sell things there ....well I am signed up for an artist table at Animazement which is a con in Raleigh NC. I am only going so far for a con because I have friends down there, and the new location looks AWEsome!

As you know I've been a busy bee crafting and working on creating the beginnings of inventory of my random creations to sell. Some is for Etsy and others will be available at my artist alley table. I hope to snag a table at Otakon this year! I'll have all kinds of good things from my quality original plush, hats, clip on ears, bags, etc.

Something I just came up with as an alternative to small art prints, as it's a more of a 'tangible object' (and more weather proof). I wanted something fun people could get for under $10. Most would be $5, the small for $3 and the fancy beaded/larger for $8-10, with a few extra big & fancy $12 ones. You can loop the ribbon through a bag strap, belt loop, on a con badge, etc and attach it like how a cel phone charm works. The smallest ones can be used for phone charms actually.

Lastly in news I bought some felting needles. I've been trying out some felting and it's kinda cool X3 Although I don't know how to keep the piece from looking like it was stabbed a million times (which is IS but apparently there's a trick to hiding the holes...? ) Well I just STARTED so I got a ways to learn haha.

Plush commissions: I had a bunch who expressed interest but not everyone got back to me / has no money / freak when they hear a quote. >_> Please serious commissioners only, and only if you can at least pay the materials down payment within a week of contacting me (basically don't ask someone for a commission unless you actually CAN commission someone ....? Like NOW, not next month or two months from now....? ) And that applies to ANY commission really, but I was getting it with plush ones especially.

I can't keep bugging people, and I'm sick of people going "Oops sorry can't afford it " When they hear a quote. My rates are the same if not lower than other custom plush commissions of my level. >_> Expect to pay at least $100 for almost any standard project. Only simple and/or small things would be less than that (Like a 8" fleece onigiri, a cartoony fox head pillow, or the like would be only $20-50 or something, but most people are asking for complex 8" character plush made with quality plush fabric so obviously they take a while to make / cost more! IT. WAS. FUCKING. AMAZING.

Like, this was the first stop motion film filmed in 3D (IE they filmed with two cameras to get depth of field like any 3D live action film) and you just wanted to reach out and TOUCH everything, the world was so TACTILE (obviously cause it WAS real). And omg, being a stop-motion student myself, who knows how complicated this art is, the SHOT DIRECTION was...omg. Beautiful shots. Camera movies EVERYFUCKINGWHERE, amazing character animation, Coralines strand-y HAIR, Special lighting effects, ZOMFG. We were all like in our seats.

The visual amazement aside - the story as I hear is based on a book. It was a good story, and I can't think of how it could have been told properly (visually) in ANY other way besides stop motion . The story played out well from beginning to end pacing wise, and the end was well wrapped up and felt completed (IE they did not botch the ending, like happens a lot nowadays XD).

My friend Charity and Vanessa who I dragged to see it LOVED it, it was really up our alley. But the movie overall did not ENGAGE me as much as the more musical animated films I grew up with, or maybe it was cause it was late so I was tired, but some parts seemed a little slow, NOT in pacing, but the music was not driving enough in spots (too 'silent' or soft?) I think. Other times tho they music was GREAT so I dunno.

Fucking great film tho (overall) I wanna see it again and again.

Katsucon!!

I never got to tell everyone about Katsucon! I didn't wanna post about it till I got the con video up but I had a LOT of footage to go through so it's been slow. XD The con was a clusterfuck (what everyone has been calling it online ) and not well organized but we all had fun cause of being with great friends and seeing the AMAzing cosplays (of which there were many) sadly it was so crowed in the halls it was hard in many places to stop to talk or take pictures. Also I had never been to this con so I was really just learning where everything WAS. XD

Expect pics of me as OROCHIMARU (yea you heard right XD I made a good one too everyone said! ) with Kelly as Guren alongside. (The otonin filler villain from the latest arc, she's actually a realllly cool character! Kelly adores here ).

I also was Shino and Shibi in a sexy suit ensemble for the ball (which we didn't get into D< more clusterfuck problems) but we all still looked hot walking around. At the small Sunday Naruto shoot there were no other team 8 members besides me as Shibi and two Kuernai's, one of which was a not-so-un-obvious man in drag I was PIMPIN`. Lawls.

There were so many awesome Naruto cosplayers, like a REALLY NICE SAGE NARUTO, and A SAGE JIRAIYA! With the toads on the shoulders! A really cute young and Kazekage Garra, sweet Shika's, A really sweet timejump Kiba who I caught for a shot with me and Neko as Hinata in a kimono.

I am getting a good webhost / real domain name, but am undecided on what domain name I want.

I am going to be using this domain mostly for my portfolio site. But also (in subdomains) to sell and display my art/crafts (set up shop), showcase my characters, animations, and various other junk.

I am using my first name in it cause my name is unique, and also, well...is ME! I wanted the name preferably to be short, easy to rememebr, be fun/reflect me, and my artistic-ness. If one of those has to be sacrificed for ease of memorability that's what I wanna know, hence why I need your opinion:

So I'm getting pumped for Katsu - it seems there'll be a good number of people I know there! My friends and are coming down with me!! And I am staying with my friends Kelly, Neko, and crew. My SCAD friend and Stop Mo partner Christa (an AMAZing cosplayer) will be there too. Yay!

Annnd I'm looking to line up some painted sculpey clay figure commissions. I advertised on FurAffinity about fursona clay figures, but really any character would be up for that. To get more bites I'm gonna post here about that too. I do anything from chibi 4-5", to detailed 12", prices ranging based on complexity and size. I'll be posting an official journal page about it soon.

Last thing - so about the Naruto subs from Japan...An amazing subbing group called Dattebayo has been doing them since like episode 90. I respect that VIZ as the actual license holder wants to sub their show and make some money off selling it the DAY it comes out in Japan and I give them props for having it available for FREE to everyone just a week later. But....I'd be happy with this legal arrangement IF THE VIZ SUB WAS NOT A PIECE OF AMERICANIZED, POORLY TIMED TRASH. Srsly They should just HIRE Dattebayo. Cause they did a more professional job. In the translations VIZ puts in things people who watch the DUB would be used to like for the names of the jutsu, or calling Shino's bugs "Parasitic beetles" when that is NOT WHAT IT TRANSLATES TO. OKAY VIZ....people who watch the JAPANESE version probably don't WATCH the dub regularly, kthx. And the timing is just BAD in places, they don't translate the opening/ending songs, and they cut out the ending crack omakes we all love so much. W...T...F. Sorry, just peeved at that. >: | It's such a good, awesome idea that VIZ just HAD to ruin.

I also submitted Macarena no Jutsu as a second fun entry. But since it was shown at Otakon 2 years ago it is technically aganist their rules for a circuluating amv's age, but since it was just ONE con and not even in finals they might make an exception.

This will be my first Katsu, and I have not submitted an AMV for over 2 years, and I think this one has a chance for finals.

My only other one to make it to finals was my Arjuna AMV. Lets hope the fact I am using a not so commonly used show, and using all HQ raws (yes the quality of your source files matters) gives me that extra edge over the Bleach/Naruto/Gundam AMV to make it in.

I made some of my own variant of crisp yesterday for Christmas Eve and wanted to share, cause it’s REALLY yummy!

Apple / Peach Crisp

You can make this using Peaches or Macintosh Apples. I tell the recipe for Apples, and the only difference between using peaches / apples, is you should cook the peaches for 5 minutes less, use half the water amount in the pan, and add less cinnamon. :3 I think I like the peach version better but both are AWESOME (also peaches are not available in winter… XD )


You’ll need:

> 3-4 large (5-6 small) Macintosh Apples
> 8 ½ x 11 deep baking pan

> 1 ¼ cup Quaker Oats
> 1 ¼ cup Sugar
> 1 cup brown sugar
> 1 cup flour ( + ½ - 1 cup more later)
> ¼ teaspoon baking powder
> 1 ¼ sticks of butter (REAL salted butter)
> 1/3 cup water, ( + ¾ cup water for later)
> powdered cinnamon in a shaker

Directions!

Wash your hands cause you’re gonna be mixing with them!

Mix dry ingredients (Oats, both sugars, baking powder, 1 cup flour) in bowl.

Soften butter in microwave (don’t totally melt, like half melted half soft), pour into mix and mix well smushing with hands. Mix will be TOO DRY, so add the 1/3 cup water, and mix. Then it should be a little too wet, so add flour slowly (1/2 to 1 cup) mixing until crumbles are a good crumble consistency (like makes ¼ inch to 1 inch clumps). Shaka in some cinnamon.

Grease your pan lightly with butter. Sprinkle in some crumbles to make a light coating on the bottom (just a bit). If you hate apple skin remove it, but it adds flavor. :3 Cut up apples into slices, and arrange in your pan (should make 3 rows lengthwise) overlapping them like scales. Stuff apples into any empty spaces. Sprinkle some cinnamon onto the apples, then cover evenly with the rest of the crumbles. Sprinkle on a little more cinnamon. Then evenly coat with the ¾ cup of water (add in ¼ increments).

Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. (crumbles should be golden crispy and the apples bubbling) A darker pan make bake them quicker than a glass pan. So make sure to watch them.

Take out and allow too cool enough to eat (like 20 minutes?) and serve with whip crème! YUM!

Also awesome to note is Sumi was shown at SCAD Animate! this past September. Scad's Fall 2008 showcase is JURIED they only pick a handful of the best animations, so this counted as a film fest showing! And will go on my resume.

In other news I'll be away all weekend finally visiting an old friend to meet her finance (I have not met this boy yet), we are gonna run around Pittsburgh too so I'm excited. I have so much commission work to do though I hate to b away ANOTHER weekend but I have been planning to go for so long. I'll just work my butt off when I return.

I didn't post a Halloween journal cause I posted it in my LJ which I BARELY use and is like mostly friend-locked so I am sorry for that. XD A video of that night will be up later. To put it shortly we had a ton of fun, made candy apples, carved pumpkins, and ate lots of candy and watched movies. Good stuff.

So I’m here to tell you about what already told you about in her journal entry…about how we went together on a weekend family trip to Assateague Island and BUSCH GARDENS Williamsburg! They had their Halloween event starting. I have never been there for Halloween – I also had not been in so long they had 2 new coasters – Griffin and Apollo’s Chariot.

Apollo’s Chariot was epic win – a smooth clean ride with an interesting style lap harness (It’s a car coaster, no upside-down) that allows for lots of breathing room. Really nice bunny hills.

Griffin is a bottom-rail hanging foot coaster (raised car) that featured two practically 90 degree drops (they stop you teetering at the top of the first hill and let you suffer for about 3 seconds before they drop you. XDD). I actually got Vanessa to go on ALL the coasters there with me (except Griffen) she had NEVER been on an upside coaster or any steel one bigger than Space Mountain. I was SO proud omg. She loved it too, it was great!

We went through some of their scary haunted houses and were stalked by zombies and werewolves, the back path was OMG – I am startled easily so everytime one jumped out and made a noise I would shriek! I hid behind Vanessa. XD We made friends with the werewolves tho – they were funny. (poor bored dudes in costumes….the park was half empty cause the weather was iffy). So awesome.

Went to a doll meet at Peddlers Village that :icon BleedingVampier7: arranged. I got to see lots of cool dollies!! Even the Soom Beryl! Hoofed feet of DOOM. X33 It inspired me to really wanna work on my dolls again – I mean I never wanted to STOP but I have like no space to until we finish my studios space in the garage loft. We ARE going to try and make a spot next to my room (if you could see the crazy layout of our house you’d understand) by clearing out all the shit in my balcony-area thing. Weeee. *WANT’S ROOM to WORK on 3D craft stuff omg….. * Then I can finish Okami and EVERYthing else.

In buggy news, we found a MASSIVE wooly bear caterpillar. Like 2.5 inches massive. And spiders keep leaving me webs in my car’s window well. XD THANKS Kuroji.

And a small spoiler for Manga Chapter 420 - ZOMGGG TEAM 8 - !!!!!111!!!!11 is shown!!! Biznatches!! They may be setting them up to come back for the Pain battle. (As well as team 10 - for you Inoshikachou fans ) WOOT!



And I am STILL watching. and thanks to for the great link suggestion, downloading all the old Digimon episodes! I am preparing clips to make some Mummymon x Arukenimon AMV's. They are so on my fav couples list of all time now - I forgot about how much I liked them, and I appreciate them better now that I am older. Yay nostalgia!

Charity, Kat, and Vanessa all bought beautiful hand made puppet dragons (I resisted cause I wanna MAKE one LOL), and I got a necklace thing and presents for mom.

So we're doing major 'fall' cleaning' We are putting out all this stuff in bulky waste (which is this week). FINALLY we are getting rid of some of this utter random old JUNK that's clogging up the loft and impinging on my studio space in the loft being built. !!

So we bring down the second load with a non-working ancient microwave, and a slightly broken steering sled. This guy pulls up in a pickup and we don't even get the microwave out of the CAR and he just walks over and picks it up,
"It doesn't work!" we tell him.
"Don't care!" he smiles.
"Uhhh, what you use it for, spare parts?" I ask.
"Sell it for scrap."
"Really? how much you would you get for that?"
"Dunno, two bucks." He shrugs.


Also, within the time it takes us to get the fourth load half the stuff from load three is already GONE. XDD VW carseat, cabinet, metal lamp holders, leather chair (we got for free originally anyway) etc, all gone. So much for bulky waste, LOL more like people just picking it up! Which I like better cause them it's getting recycled or used and not sitting in a landfill.

And yes, as you know from my new desktop BG, I am excited for the new Shippuden Movie 'Bonds' (or 'Kizuna' in Japanese, a word I knew before form listening to Mermaid Melody songs, XDD).

Not only cause Shino is in it, (!!) and my friend Charity is creaming her pants cause Sasuke in it working WITH Naruto, but the whole thing looks DAMN SWEET (animation, enemy, fighting scenes, etc). It has Hinata, 4-tail Kyubi Naruto, Orochimaru, Shika, Sai with his cool painted things in it too. Too bad we won't get to see it till ti comes out on DVD there in like April or something. Oh well.

Otakon was great this year. From the let down of last year it was a great chance of pace. We stayed at the ridiculously close Sheraton, which was very comfty and beautiful but the staff was meh (and of course it was pricy XD), I'd avoid staying there again I guess, it was cool to just do it once! It's been my dream!

We also took Charity's compact car to save on gas money, I missed the bus, but with only 4 of use we were able to Tetris ourselves and our stuff nicely into her car (not an iota of space left). It worked out good so yay!

A big awesome was the Masquerede did NOT suck!! Most of the skits were AWESOME with only like 3-5 sucky ones. From the EPIC Organization 13 group (They had EVERYONE, with some MALES, and ALL the weapons and they were all AMAZING), to the Stripper Vash guy and his friend as FF6 characters (the main and gay-looking bad guy) doing a stand up comedy act, it was AWESOME!! There was also a Bakura and Yami Bakura VS a loveless character, A Slayers skit, A "Expand your horizons" musical number, A Harui group of the ACTUAL WHOLE cast doing every other dance to protest the overdone nature of THEIR dance, Oregon trail reference, AMAZING Dragonball Z and Sailor Moon skits, and a Link VS Navi flue playoff that got the WHOLE crowd into a STANDING OVATION. EPIC. The one really laughable skit was a ramen girl and a Sasuke, wow....yea...embarrassing...

So we have been calling this the OLDSCHOOL Otakon, cause of the overwhelming older character cosplay and love. It was like us older anime fans got their day, haha. (The masquerade was so oldschool that the young newbs behind us left early cause they didn't understand anything. XD despite the awesome of the skits Yea.)

I had fun in my cosplays, It was cool being Shibi at the rave and dancing with Kat, Charity, Vanessa and Lilly (from from college who was there! yay!!!). My improvised Human Okami went over great and despite outfit malfunctions Vanessa rocked as Issun (she got a lot of love from squealing fangirls). I gave kikaichu to an off-duty Shino and to a timeskip Shino too.

I also got to go to the Derek Stephen Prince panel on Sunday, and thanks to Duckie ( ) was able to get his autograph on Saturday!! He signed a picture I drew of Ken and Beelzemon. (For those who don't know he is the American voice actor for Beelzemon, Ken the Digimon Emperor, Shino, Keitro from Love Hina, and even tho I don't care a lot of people also love him as Uryu from Bleach).

I asked him about his memories playing Ken and Beelzemon, and he told a story he would never forget about how when he did the part when Wormmon dies, the who studio was in tears (not a dry eye) and the director was like "can we take five please...?" Ad then he did the Ken laugh for us. hahahaha!

So yea, really awesome. I mean...EPIC (word of the weekend).

You do jumps, tail walks, and rolls and swim through hoops to gain speed, (Simply hold up to accelerate, left right to steer, and down to roll). You can even jump so high you go into SPACE. XDD (If you do it right). It gives me the same joy Ecco the Dolphin does, where you can just have fun jumping around. LOL

And for any DS9 fans, I found a REALLY sweet Kira / Odo video: [link] (YEs I was a huge dork for DS9... XD deal with it) Heck even if you don't know them it's just a great video, good editing.

In other news, I am saddened Okami will not be done for Otakon. Between my maybe-having-mono tiredness and commissions for other people and social obligations it just didn't happen. Well, I'd rather it be done right then rushed, that's no fun. I'll work on it till it IS done and wear it to the next con available, and just around the woods for photos. It's a portfolio piece so I want it to be worthy of my employers eyes.

I have been kind of energy-less and in a lil bit of a funk (after graduation blues?) We are getting bloodwork done to see if I have mono or anemic or something.

Well, in GOOD news me and my friends finally made a DUCT TAPE DUMMY of myself~!~~ I so gotta post pics of this thing cause it's so COOL and very LOL. !! And let me tell you it was a strange feeling be wrapped in duct tape (with junk clothes on underneath of couse) XDD!

Went to Phildelphina’s ‘fabric row’ (a street filled with fabric stores) while in Philly attending a concert, and found my Okami fabric! Absolutely lovely long pile snow white fur, it was only 19.99 a yard! Soft, dense, and flexible. Online it’d be about that much too, but no shipping! And I got to touch it first. Tomorrow we go get my unitard fro am dance shop that the foam will be built over. We got the high density for in remnants for UBER cheaps. Now all we gotta do is figure out how exactly we are doing the front hands and head/harness setup. The rest is ‘cake’ compared to that. XD

And tonight as I type this at some crazy hour of the morning, I made friends with a cute lil beetle who ‘attacked’ my hand . [link] He has the fuzzy short antenna and lil head with big eyes than can move around a lot. Very much like a kikaichu-looking beetle, but much larger of course. Today we also found a massive wolf spider Kuroji would be proud of, legs early 3 inches across. Sooo dang cute. And while I was at Gayle’s house a lightning bug decided to fly into my glasses, and crawl from one side to the next along the rims and up to my head before flying off.

Gotta love summer.

And LOL her graduation was on the Friday of the con, so we got in late to Secaucus. I was so happy to see Joanie and crew again, and I also got to see Duckie!! Also, I shared in Joanie's artist table and sold enough stuff to cover my gas/room cost, so that was nice. (considering I have no job. XD only commissions right now)

The masquerade was kind of blah, they started late, and we had to leave early cause we were starving. And the seats were all too close together XD. but there were a few good skits, the ones that come to mind are the guilty gear skit (lots of amazing costumes and fight moves!) and a KH2 skit with 5 cute girls all in street versions' of Sora's drive forms! LOL so cool.

I had a lot of fun as Shibi Saturaday afternoon, my hair looked awesome. I attacked a team 8, fooled at least 5 people that I was a dude until I talked (then you get the "omg you're a chick!" reaction). Also a lot of people knew who I was! X3

I chased a Kakashi for his porn for 3 whole minutes, that was LOL. XD Charity got it all on video too, so check out our video footage and stuff from AnimeNEXT in my mix video on youtube: [link]

Sunday was the best tho cause I had signed up for cosplay human chess. I was in there as Bunny Yue Moon. Despite a I was only a pawn but I was the first piece to move, I TOOK OUT A SASUKE!! LMAO and was taken late in the game by a Misa who wrote me in her death note. My fav part of the chess was interacting with the other cosplayers, and the bantering between an awesome Yami Yuugi and a Bandit Keith (Who knew every 'in America' related Yugioh Abridged quote ever).

Charity and Kat were kind of disappointed overall with the con, cause of the Masquerade failing, rave sucking, and late night "18 +" yaoi and hentai being like....yea "why did you card us for this" ? XDD I myself had fun, even tho I'm sad I missed out on some cool panels, and yea those things did suck...but hanging with all my friends and cosplying is how I really get my kicks so it was alright.

EDIT I forgot:
I forgot to mention about the utter shittyness of how the con put the artists alley down in some kind of converted parking garage dungeon. My poor friends were down there at their artist table. It was out of the way of casual traffic, down a dark scary staircase, was UN-AIRCONDITIONED and smelled funny cause of the weird carpet they laid down. o___O I hope they wise up and DON'T do that next year, or put the needing-space videogame room in there instead,m cause they are con-funk and don't need light anyway. >_>

Now if only I could get onto completing Okami for Otakon! o___o I've been rather artistically dead recently....but I did draw a cute pic of Jima and Tao, as well as Sakuya's mother's design (Saki). Must....be....productive... XD!

We have been staying at a cute beach house on Tybee Island (The little LBI of Georgia, lol) outside of Savannah, we are here till Thursday, and hooked my PC up. It's being broken down tonight so I won't be around again till Friday / Saturday. It's been so fun, I love the beach here and I am liking not being in front of a PC 24/7 and not cramping my hand over a Cintique or mouse at 5 am.

WHEW. zomg.

F*ck am I gonna miss everyone from school so bad. ;___; But we have the internet, my mom likes to tell me how easy it is for us to keep in contact with friends far away now then it was like 30 years ago for her. I guess it's true, even if we are thousands of miles away we can talk to each other anytime, and send pictures, jokes, video, in an instant. It's so much different, and I' feel blessed to be able to talk to my friends like this. Yay for internets!

Also when I get home I'll be working on some projects that DON'T require me ot sit on my add in front of my computer 24/7.... even tho I'm a 'skinny bitch' (as some of my friends refer to me as) my legs/butt are really beginning to hurt and I am REALLY out of shape....I need to start doing daily stretches or something to get me into shape for that quadsuit.

Oh yea and I was thinking of celebrating my 40,000 (ZOMG) th page view with TWO kiribans. I'll give one away to the person with a screen cap of number 40,000, and one the next closest. I am sick. XD I have a cold. It sucks, cause I have too much work to do to be rotting in my room and feeling woozy. At least it's going away, slowly, but away. At least I got to see Caroline last week! We had fun at the (rained out) sidewalk arts and ate ice cream and sushi. Also last night I dragged myself to the Fetish Formal dance, it was awesome, I just wish I could have danced like normal and stayed the whole time.

I...do...EVERYTHING.

Well not LITERARY but a LOT of things in many brackets.

And I need an artist title. Something definitive.

Like "3D rigger" or "2D animator" or "Character Designer" like everyone else in my class.

But I don't just like one thing. Even within a discipline I do many things, I can show all this in my flat book, but I need to sum it up in a title on my business card (also my professor is pushing me to do this, at least to pick one thing and do it for class).

So...for now I'm going with one discipline, aka my 3D work, I'm still having a hard time. >_>

The best I came up with in the last 20 minutes of angsting was "Creature Character Designer & Fabricator"

For my first shot into the art job world I'll be marketing myself to small/medium puppetry, costume, and creature workshops. They make puppets and costumes for plays/events/TV shows, realistic and cartoony, as well as sculpture-based displays like oversized Oreos and sculptures of characters like Pacman for events.

They do a LOT of things. All of which are in my skillset except for anamatronics (which I am higly interesting in learning/being exposed to). It would be to my benefit to show I am multi talented cause these are smaller companies where I will jump around and work on lots of weird projects. Also my mold making and casting skills are very marketable to places like this. Not only if i was to be a moldmaker but it'd show I could work WITH the mold makers when it comes time to cast my sculpture and that I could make things with the caster in mind and not be all like "DUH, what's an undercut?"

So...WTF do you call a sculptor who makes character maquettes, creatures, puppets (for stop motion and cloth puppets), sews creature costumes, AND can cast and mold make stuff for them (as that goes with that), AND design characters / a costume/puppet's technical aspect (construction).

And I can't f**king say "3D Artist" cause that f**king means a 3D COMPUTER artist in todays day and age (cause what I really am is a 3D-ist, I MAKE/design things in 3D, all kinds of things!)

We (Me, Duckie, and Nick) spent Spring Break down in Florida ( a relatively short hop from our college in Savannah, GA). We stayed at Nick’s house, his mother was more than accommodating and it was fun to stay there with all her cats and everything. Everyday I’d drive us to and fro to Orlando (About 1.5 hours each way). And we’d hit up Disney.

We went to all four parks in three days, doing only a few hours at Epcot after we did the Animal Kingdom. We went on all the cool rides and saw lots of cool sights. I’ve been to Disney before but never with friends it was a whole new experience, and Duckie had not been since she was FIVE so most of it was new to her. It was great showing her everything. I also went on some new rides to me, as I for some reason NEVER rode Splash Mountain, or visited Ariel, or went on the Astro Orbiter!! Good stuff. Expect a mix video and pictures soon of course of this awesomeness!!

The last day we went to a baseball game for the Astro’s Spring Training (Duckie loves the Houston Astro’s, that is her hometown afterall). I had never been to a baseball game or any sport game for that matter outside of high school football (I was in Marching Band). It was cool! In random fun, I decided to Shibi it up today so I could walk around town and do my errands in style… and was stopped by a lady who asked is she could have my picture for...get this...her blog about fashion in Savannah! I was intrigued and of course said yes, and told her I even made it. So to my happy surprise lol here I am on a blog: [link] I found out she is a fellow SCAD student too. Rock on!

I needed the break from work, but now I’m back and ready for more. With only two classes (Motion Graphics and Portfolio) hopefully I’ll have some time to do some personal work outside of portfolio stuff. Not that my senior project and Stop Motion project are not personal, I love them a lot, I just want to work on something else, I’ve been working on those for like 2.5 and 6 months. XDD I wan to do more animating for fun and do more character designs, not to mention lots of other things (like *COUGH* writing! *cough* !! SEWING *cough*).

...I was looking through the website and on the video of 2007 finalists, ONE of them was for a KINGDOM HEARTS ATTRACTION.

A smexy GIRL alongside 3 very business-y guys presets storyboards (the big colored drawings behind her, see Sora and a jungle? ), 3D visualizations of a 3D holorgram or something, and a ride plaza that looks like the Doors of Kingdom Hearts (itself). The title on the TV says "Kingdom Earth: Change the World" and it seems they were maybe using Kingdom Hearts and Sora as a medium for an eco-friendly ride/show of some sort?

This means the Disney imagineers CHOSE that as a viable idea. Why would they let them go to finals if they were not at least open to the idea of a KH attraction? My stop motion puppet is looking cool! Of course now there is just the SET to make and ANIMATING to do of course *sigh* It never ends. Like I said, feeling overwhelmed. And it's not even that I'm BEHIND or have been slacking off. I've been working my ASS off. I LIVE at Monty (the animation building) Monday - Thursday, 10:30 - 9:30. I usually spend at least one weekend day there too (but I try to work in my room on weekends). I work on my senior project for most of that time and then I feel guilty when I do other class work that I also need to do…. I’m terrified of not finishing my senior project even tho I’m actually doing rather WELL compared to most in that class (My teacher is happy with my progress).

And I get burnt out sitting and starring at a computer monitor from Mon-Thurs so I slow down on the weekends and work a lil slower (but still am working). Waaa.

Aburame Family Hijinks in the Sims 2: [link]

I made a little mix of some video highlights of my first experiences with my Aburame Sims. It's so much fun. I am happy with how they look...all I need now is a high collar mesh for adult sims (the awesome Shino mesh I got from modthesims2 . com, but it's for teens only.) And a gourd for Shibi (oh, and his glasses dangle...) . I recolored a Garra gourd someone made, as it was kind pear shaped...and therefore looked like SHEN'S gourd really....so I retextured it to be that LOL. Shibi and Shen...uhh....switched gourds for a few days....yeeeeaahh..... hahaha. At least then it fits into my Aburame-verse.

In other news, I managed to win a copy of the uber rare and obscure Dog of Bay game for PS2 off ebay. For ONE DOLLAR.

But what IS Dog of Bay you may ask? To put it simply, not only is it a game that NEVER EVER in a millliiooon years would come to America, it’s a bishi-gay looking-furries-who-dance game. Yea. The dance gameplay itself is a bit eh, but whatever, it cost A DOLLAR. YES.

Besides having to finish my senior project with ink and color :death: , I also am in advanced 2D character animation, where we are all doing 10 second full 2D animation short parts of a whole (that's 240 drawings) synced to music, and not my own character (harder to draw). We are being taught by guest professor - GARY GOLDMAN. You heard me...Don Bluth's right hand man (for those of you not animation-nerdy, that's the man behind Land Before Time, Fivel goes West, Anastasia, etc...) It’s pretty nuts being taught by an animation legend, I hope I learn a lot! X33

I also have a 2-minute stop motion film in Stop-mo II. (Why am I nuts? XD My life is over this quarter) It will either be a story about a tall-lion-thing and it's little sister (a cute story / character design I thought up randomly) or the original I idea from my senior project which was with everyone's favorite emo gazombie Undead Elaine X33. I’m having a hard time choosing. Both are good in their own ways…I think the lion one would be a lot more work tho cause it involves making/animating two puppets instead of one and a more complicated set, but Elaine’s story would involve a lot of walking and facial animations. >_>

In that vein, I needed Adobe Photoshop CS3 extended to do my senior project, not that I can't work at the computers at Monty (our animation building here at college) but it would be nice to not spend th rest of my life there and be able to work at my dorm too....and I also could use Aftereffects, and the new Premiere....and Flash...etc...so I talked to my mom about it, and she agreed to get me the ADOBE SUITE MASTER COLLECTION (That's EVERYTHING they've ever made including the new Macromedia programs) at the student discount price of only 514 dollars!!! (That seems like a lot of money but that collection ushally costs 3000 dollars. XDD YAY student discount! And once you graduate ytou can use it commercially no problem for business or whatever, there are no restrictions on the student discounted one.

In other note, I've been enjoying playing NiGHTS Journey of Dreams on my Wii. It has a lot of random bits of unpolish (here and there bad textures, abruptness, etc) but discrepancies aside it’s really a great game and has moments of shining glory with amazing characters, music, shiny special effects and good voice acting. I love the character designs of course and flying around is a joy. Makes me want to whip out Ecco again and flip around in some waves, LOL.

Of course BRAWL comes out in like what, a month? *SQUEAL* Woot!

So I can rest and not be under the knife of class deadlines. Before heading right back up north for Turkeyday (Haha yes, Happy late Thanksgiving to everyone!) since SCAD got out so early this year (the 15th ) we zoomed down to Orlando for four days of Dinsey! I rode Everest at Animal Kingdom!! And saw the Nemo musical! We ate at the German restaurant at Epcot, and I fought with the MINE mine MINE MINE seagulls outside the new Nemo'ed out "The Sea".

To round out the weekend, I decided to do something a little crazy on Sunday, for one hour in the evening, I wore my Larxene cosplay AT THE MAGIC KINGDOM! OMG, like no one knew who I was (Except this one 8 year old who in passing I think muttered, "Is that the girl from the RP game thing? " ) , but the Dinsey employees loveeed the hair. Every time I passed one they were like "WOAH cool hair!" I was like "You know what Disney game I'm from?! " ; They had no clue what Kingdom Hearts was. Oh well, it was still amusing. Larxene likes the people mover and thought the lit up Cinderella castle was pretty.

The garbage truck guys waved at me. XD I stole this cozy Shibi purple turtleneck from my mom and found this old fitted purple vest of the same color and threw them on with light tan pants...I feel way too Shibi color coordinated. Just meeds more dark green.

Otherwise, I am kinda tired, there is lots to do between animating, watercolor class, and stop motion. I'm alright but yea, busy... XD So I apoligise to my friends back home as it pulls me away from aim. Maybe I should just call on the phone?

Generbender ball on Thurs (IE encourage people to dress as their opposite gender ) I'm looking forward to it! I got nothing else to wear so I'm basically going as 'Shibi' ... in street clothes.... It was awesome, I spent the whole weekend running around with Caroline, and also ran with Duckie, Freshman, Kenya, Amy, etcc....good times all around. I fooled a lot of people into thinking I was a man (until I talked), and at least 8 people said the gourd looked like a bomb!! XDD (Well, I guess it DOES…but wow). I even yelled it out at the Naruto shoot, everyone laughed. I yelled at a Shino all like “YOU were not home by 8:00 last night, you are grounded young man! Your mother is NOT pleased! I expect you to be training with me later!” It was funny. I got glomps and hugs, and gave out some buggies to deserving parties.

AS Larxene I terrorized a Xigbar for stealing my tampons, and caught a Demyx on video with his hair off! AHHH DEMYX wears A WIGG!!! I’ll get those video’s on YouTUBE hopefully sometime. I got stopped a LOT for my Larxene costume, one girl even wanted my BABIES!! I got more glomps from girls than boys in it too, funny wnough, woot! And at least 30 people (No joke) asked me “How did you get your hair to do that?!” I needed a card with “Hotmelt glue, wire, and good construction” on it to hand out. Roflcopter.

I was still sickish and coughing at the con, but I am getting better and feel sooo much better so it's okay. I'm just happy to not be coughing every 5 seconds.

Got a lot of work to catch up on in my Senior Project class (from being sick). Gahh....but I do love my senior film, I’ll have to post some art from it soon, it's about a seven-tailed fox named Sumi and some other animals, all done in loose watercolor style, very fun.

Guess what? A new chapter of Aburame Ichizoku is up! [link] We meet a neat new character who I swear I’ll get he sketch up in scraps for soon, cause he looks fantabulous. I was going to make this chapter longer but I decided to just get it posted, it's been a long time since there was an update. It will continue into the next chapter. I have that chapter to work out and then there are like 2 after than already all written. Damn writer's block.

JUST as awesome is I get to hang with Caroline (my girlfriend) there too! Since she doesn’t go to SCAD anymore I don’t get to se her anymore. She shall be glomped by ALL my costumes. (I am bringing Shibi, Shino, and Larxene.)

I HAVE been sick for like two weeks… It’s the cough-of-post-nasal-drip-DOOM. *hacks* I have been sick ever since the drive to college. I’ve felt awful. I’ve barely been able to get anything done. I had to work all to finish the Shibi coat…in bits an pieces cause I’ve jus had no energy. I am finally on the upswing I think…thanks to lots of medicine, rest, and antibiotics (it was a cold thing that turned into a sinusitius, it needed to be killed.)

Well, hope to bring back stories and pics/video. Here’s to hopefully feeling better for the con- C-ya all later!

A BIG update for Aburame Ichizoku 2 is coming, I have many chapters written and am just filling in the gaps, so when I post for it expect much to read. There is also the introduction of a cool new character next chapter, most likely the last/next to last Aburame to be added, as I think I've made almost as many as I SAID there were LOL.

My Larxene cosplay has been %100 done since Otakon, and there are even pics of me on DA in other people's photos and whatnot, but I have yet to have any GOOD shots to display it, so that's why it's not in my deviations yet. Expect those pics as soon as it stops raining *HAS been raining for like 5 DAYS STRAIGHT*

Hence the rain I CAN’T DO ANY CASTING! (I had wanted to cast some more Tier-in-mir dolls) but it has been the most humid August EVER. (Humidity causes visual bubbles in the resin, don’t cast when it’s raining. XD)

I can’t wait to see my Shibi costume done and together, it’s like %80 complete, just gotta finish it arrgg! I have like analysis paralysis on it or something. It shall be done! *kicks*

I like finally got my hands on the version of “Let the Sunshine in” (from the musical “Hair” originally) from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2001. I ripped it out of the video clip myself, and boy am I happy. XDD I’ve been wanting this on a CD since 2001 and it’s not on ANY soundtracks and NO ONE had a rip of it! Mushi-Shi is awesome, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it! LOL I of course can’t but giggle at all these ‘mushi’ (Japanese for ‘insect’ of course) living inside various people with Ginko helping them out. What would he do about the Aburame’s mushi ‘infestation’? (Of course the music in Mushi-Shi are not really bugs, they are little ‘sprits’ basically, ethereal being that can take on any form from a bug-like blob to a person. Btu the name amuses me and the fact most DO look like bugs.) I drew a lil’ comic where he meets Shibi and Kaho…I’ll have to steal my mom’s scanner (my scanner is at college in storage… XD). It’s perfect.

So…my dad has a 78 camper right? (I have a 75 hardtop myself) He just got it TOTALLY fixed up…I mean this thing needed an engine rebuild SO bad…and we figured with shiny rebuilt engine, trans, new shocks, brakes, tight steering, etc…it’d be fine to take it 12 hours away to Michigan’s Cedar Point. RRiiiggghhhtt. XD

There is a grace period of working out kinks after a car rebuild, where you make sure everything is working again…we kinda miscalculated that…read on…

First of all, we had to pick a weekend where a HUGE weather front was blanketing Michigan with threats of tornados and thunderstorms, so when we hit some rain driving out we turn on our wipers that were supposed to be fixed…well…

CREeeekkkk…creeeekk… They make about one swipe every TWO SECONDS…

Okay so we make it out okay, (YAY for Rainx!) but then on our drive to a friend’s son we are visiting on the way back at his college (in Flint Michigan of all places, the third highest crime rated city in AMERICA), the car begins to have random cut-outs (just sputters and dies) when we stop it (not to mention hot starts EVERY time we turn the car off, which requires my poor dad to crawl under the van and bang on the solenoid with a hammer to short the starter, NO JOKE. XD The man who fixed the engine just HAD to remove his hot-start button didn’t he… XD “I don’t like all your random wiring!” he complained.

So we wiggle the double relay harness (part of the fuel injection electrical system) and it works…so we figure the harness has bad connections. We drive this all the way to Flint from Indiana Dunes State Park…where it barely sputters into a gas station where it DIES completely. We eventually magically get it work just enough to limp it to his dorm out of harms way (IE to a place with security patrols).

We get a TOW at about 10:00 at night to some garage in Pontaic Michigan named “Munks” - as recommend to us by a fellow LIMBO bus list person (We have a directory of emergency contacts from all over the USA for bus owners who you can call for help if you are in trouble.). We camp out (in the van, as it IS a camper ) in this garage’s BACK LOT among other buses and old cars like Hudson Hornets. The neighborhood was…not bad but not exactly rural. Was way safer than being in Flint LOL!

We meet the garage owner the next morning, who is there on his day off (as it as Sunday) and he’s UBER nice and helps us out, fixing our double relay (selling us a brand new replacement) and stuffs. He tells us it may also be the fuel pump, but suspects the double relay cause when we wiggled it the car worked. Best to take out the variables… so we drive off, and all is well, we think we fixed the problem, until the cutouts return. O_o Now the fuel pump is suspected. We stop and check it, and it indeed sounds sickly,and the pressure is all over. XD For fear of dying on the road at night we stop at 6:00 pm and stay at the first hotel we find.

The next day, we look for the nearest parts store that carries Bosch fuel pumps of similar make numbers (as finding a pump for a 78 camper is never going to happen unless you go to an antique parts/ import store, which are few and far between). We go to this middle-of-nowhere parts store and my dad magically gets a ford truck pump to fit with the 78 camper fuel lines, also getting a ford fuel filter on there too. (It was basically the same, all you care about is the hose fitting sizes and pump pressure, which were the same).

We head out AGAIN…and all is well until the car begins sputtering AGAIN on the PA turnpike only 150 miles to home. It’s so bad we fear it may break down in one of the many tunnels along that turnpike. XD We hope an pray as we head through the last one, and head for the nearest exit.

We check the car at some no-wheres-ville place, and the fuel looks contaminated (We suspect we got bad fuel at the last fill up 60 miles ago) that and the pump sounds like it’s dying again. XD We are too scared to take the turnpike (also that we can’t go faster than 50-60 now) so we limp it home on ALL BACK ROADS through PA. An interesting feat, avoiding the cities and everything. Gaia helped me find it, as they have two episodes up for free to watch. It's called Mushi-Shi (Besides having a cool name - Mushi means "insects") It's like Princess Mononoke, Sprited away, Arjuna, and Shaman King rolled into one sexy animated package. I of course had to find more online, and I'm loving it.

Gotta order some more resin to make doll casts with...and silicone for molds too. >_> but it's been so humid that doing any casting or spraying (to seal painted things) will be impossible outside, and doing it inside is like...BAD for you (even with a resperiator and fan, those help YOU but then the inside area is still toxic-fumey ). *sigh* I'll just have to wait for some non-humid days.

I'm really tired this week, it's HOT out and working at girlscouts is just wearing me out. It's only three more days so I'll be alright. Just tired tho. My art/writing is suffering cause of it (no enegry)

We had fun today cause after camp me and some co-woker camp friends went out to eat and then went to the local library and took out some bad romance paperbacks and were walking down the street reading lines from the sex scenes. It was total LMFAO, good stuff. I was like "I WRITE better porn than THAT!"
