One of my biggest character flaws is the fact that I care too much about what people think of me. It's so bad that even walking in the street I imagine that almost ALL the people I pass are giving me dirty looks and judging me. I know this is a very unhealthy idea to have and even if I had done anything to upset all these people I shouldn't care as they are probably strangers that I will never see or meet again. It IS impossible to please everyone and still be true to who I am and obviously I annoy the hell out of some people and they will probably hate me. But for me this has gone beyond trying to please people and has become quite a bad case of paranoia.

How I know this is simple. It's not just the people I WANT to like me that I imagine as judging me. Like I said it's everyone I see whether I want to know them or not. If I walk down a crowded street I imagine that about 60-90% of those people are looking at me and judging me and that they don't like what they see. In normal situations when I'm with people I'm close to or know well this is not a problem and I can usually convince myself that it's not important. However some of my interests lead me into situations where this paranoia becomes a big problem. I am mostly talking about anime conventions, open days and other such events where I am suddenly surrounded by strangers. Cons however are not as bad as they could be for me. This is because of the knowledge that pretty much everyone around me shares the same interest as me. In my head this makes it more likely that I will be accepted, however even in these situations when I should feel perfectly fine I can't help but cringe every time I try to be myself. Whenever I am completely honest with a person a part of me always thinks: "They think you're crazy, that smile they have on their face isn't because they like you, it's because they are scared of you and just want to keep you happy while they can back away and the run for help!".
I know none of this is true, I know I'm caring too much but I can't help it!!!

As for where all this came from, I'm not sure. But one of the earliest things I can remember is sitting in a circle with some girls in infant school making daisy chains. Suddenly one of the girls (who I had considered to be a friend) said that she wanted me to go away. When I tried to ask why and what I had done all the other girls said that they were bored with me and told me to leave as well. I KNOW!! It was INFANT school! Don't ask me why I remember it!!! I'm no even sure if it is relevant but I do remember that I had done the same kind of thing to my other friends to hang around with these other girls. Now I can see the irony and think that it was probably a lesson well learned.

Anyways, I have always felt that the opinion of those around me is very important. So it was hard when I went up to secondary school I was instantly hated for reasons that I have never found out. The only reason I can think of is that people saw that I cared and singled me out as a target knowing that I was vulnerable like that. So was the worst four years of my life. I learned lots of things both about myself and others through this, but the one thing that I failed to learn was that I needed to toughen myself to abuse and not care so much about what others think of me.

The thing is that I see all the qualities that I should have in my sister, it's like being two sides of a coin or two halves of the same person. We are at times very similar but in ourselves we are polar opposites. She is confident, I have uber low self esteem. We both have different approaches to things. Like I will often grasp the opportunity to remain invisible and unnoticed, I like to have that choice. She, on the other hand isn't pleased unless when she walks down a street people turn to stare at her!

I now sense that I am just going to keep rambling round and round in circles. So I will end this here.

Okay so soon my current art project will be completed ( after a 15 hour exam! ) and I will be uploading stuff from that project and all me other ones. Just to let you know (If anyone wishes to know) this current project is called " Subdued Lighting ". Fell in love with it as soon as I heard it! lol

I have no idea what has caused this but over the last year my work in art has become not only better in quality (vanity? soz!) but I'm more enthusiastic with each project, which makes me sad cause this is the last project I will ever do.

Anyways after the exam I will be putting up photos of my coursework and my final pieces, I look forward to any feedback! Unless you see me at sixth-form, in which case I have already bored you to hell about it! lol

I will be glad when this is all over because I really need to do some English and Psychology revision and currently my art is taking up most of my time. But my exam is after Easter and I only have one week left for prep so I think it's justified! lol

Asuka Langley Soryu from Evangelion and Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. These are two of my favorite characters in anime/games!

I made my first one from scratch but the others were just items that I altered!

So I've just been going through the part of my wardrobe where I put all my cosplays and in the making stuff.
I really need to do some more work on em! Thing is I have a few problems and I tend to be really bad at asking for help. I usually only cave in and ask someone when it's too late! But my next planned cons are Fuyucon and JCC which are both in october so now I think I will ask in plenty of time!

My Yuffie cosplay is giving me some grief because I can't find any boots. This one is generally giving me headaches because it's hardly started, but the boots are stressing me out BIG TIME!

I had some that would have been PERFECT but ( as determined by sod's law ) they no longer fit! At this rate Yuffie will either be showing up in smart boots or converse, which doesn't that bad! lol
Her huge shuriken is also a problem, I can't think of a practical way it can be made and also transported!

So, since school was canceled today me and thought we'd take advantage of the fresh snow before everyone used it to make snow balls and snow men and take some pictures nice and early!

This was a very good idea, I got lots of amazing shots despite not having the amazing camera and will be uploading them daily I think seeing as there are too many to upload in one day!

I love taking pictures with especially in epic environments like fields of snow, her style is so photogenic and so is she!

Anyways I hope you enjoy them! I havn't been uploading much recently, my school life seems to have taken over even my artistic flow. But I have a piece of it back now, even though it still looks like things are going to be pretty hectic for months to come. I'm just going to have to go with it!

Slothy poo from FMA the anime! I chose her because I (apparently) look like Trisha but the homunculi are WAY cooler than humans!

I made my sloth cosplay, which then fell apart! I think the best thing to do is the shop for cheep stuff that looks similar and then make small changes!

Amecon 2008, my first con! the parties, the people, the eating of ramen out of polystyrene cups and having to leave the ball at a ridiculously early time cause i was stupid and didn't organize for us to stay an extra night! Still 'twas three of the best days of my life!

oooo... the one I really wanna do but know I'll never be able to do is either Kadaj or Peine ((ffx-2)) Princess dress up! lol

Well I know my quality of work ((doodles and photos taken on my phone)) has been, well... Crap recently. I wish to make this up to you but all in good time as I still have another three weeks of exam leave.

Right now I wish to share something with you ((but unfortunately I have run out of gummy bears so this will have to do!)). I was lying in the bath just now :wink: and I was pondering life, the universe and ... You know what the last one is.... Yes! i was thinking about cosplay!

On August the 8th to the 10th I will be attending AmeCon at Leicester. Since this is going to be my first Con I want to have a, if not awesome, then at least a decent cosplay for the event. I have already discussed this with some of my fellow cosplayers but so far no conclusion has been reached. Because I'm going to have to start work on it very soon I thought that maybe I could ask some DA members for help.
