Yeah, I guess I had one. I spent most of my summer lounging around, going to work, and taking a summer class, and I got VERY LITTLE artwork done, hardly any of it that I feel like scanning and posting on here.

Although I've been scarce with the faves and the comments, I HAVE been looking through my message box at least once a week over the summer, and I've made sure to take a look at as much of your artwork as I could. If you guys that watch me have something of yours that you want commentage on (legit crit, preferably, as I'll be popping in and out leaving random comments as time goes on), send me a note or something.

In the coming weeks I'll be posting random crap I've been thinking about over the summer, and I'll work on some stuff to actually post, hopefully comics or something this time. We'll see.

Ever see some sort of random reference that you didn't understand and then suddenly discover its meaning or origin later... almost a year or more later? I did just a short while ago.

The reference: Some random guy dropping a steamroller on another random guy, saying something in Japanese I can't understand and then arching his back and yelling something that sounds like "WRRYYYYY!!", which is really just an unintelligible shriek.

Yeah, so I finally found out what that was from on YouTube... and after searching Wikipedia a little bit after finding it. Turns out its from this game based on this anime OVA and manga called JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, which I feel kind of inclined to find after watching some clips of the OVA.

So after finding that anime, I felt inclined to hunt after other obscure anime, and I remembered this one called Ushio and Tora. I completely forget how I first found it, but then I found out there was an anime OVA of it some years ago, but I never bought it. But now I want to get it because I actually looked up some stuff about it.

So does anyone have any other obscure anime to recommend?... Hmm, this journal took a u-turn somewhere from obscure internet references to obscure anime. Weird.

HAAAIIII! -Horrible Kirby impression-

Okay, seriously, here it is.


Likes:

-Meta Knight is still awesome. He can tear through Boss Battle mode on Easy, Normal and Hard, but I haven't gotten up the courage to try the others yet... His costume colors are amazing, with the white, the Amazing Mirror Dark Meta, and the Kirby Pink Meta. I think I've only landed his Final Smash once, but it was awesome, I tells you. Its hard to KO some people with him, but I'm learning which moves are the best for doing so. Also his english voice over doesn't suck (Like some other winged swordsman we know)... I totally expected Meta to sound like Darth Vader. Also his role in the SSE is always awesome. Gets to fight Marth, Lucario, saves Lucas and PT, and sacrifices the Halberd to get everyone into Subspace. Just awesome.

-R.O.B.'s inclusion surprised me, but not in a bad way, seeing as I was aware of his existence and history. The SSE scene where he is finally revealed is really sad, because he couldn't save the other R.O.B.s. :< Plus he's the Ancient Minister, who has all these sad scenes, such as when the others turn on him when Ganondorf tells them to and you think he's gonna die, but hell naw, he's a robot! He's a bit on the slow side, but I love the moves he has where he explodes his jet boosters on you. Those are powerful.

-Ganondorf's lack of a completely original moveset may turn some people off, but I think the nailed enough of the subtle differences to make him seem totally badass and barbarian-esque... Have you seen his Spartan kick!? Its awesome!... Also his new Side Special, the Flame Choke or whatever. Just to watch it happen is awesome. His raw power is my favorite part, but he seems second slowest in the roster, which makes me suck online with the split second lag. :< I also love how his down taunt makes him pull out the sword and put it away, and Sakurai even made a pun about it from his update on the Dojo.. yeah, I still read them, because they are pricelessly funny. That Sakurai is a prankster! However, with the introduction of Toon Link, and the unused data from Toon Zelda/Sheik on the game disc, I think that Toon Ganon is a necessity for the next game... Dorfy with double sword action! Also, in the ongoing debate on Ganondorf being a Captain Falcon clone? Well... Falcon is a GANONDORF clone. Think about THEM apples! ... XD


-I also like Ike... I have a thing for the strong, slow characters. Actually, in the laggy matches I've played, I've actually won some with him because of his sheer power and my ability to predict my opponents better with the lag. Personally, his inclusion makes me not miss Roy so much, not that I even played as Roy when I could play Marth... I also still like Marth, but the change in his Shield Breaker attack was a little weird, but his side special combo is super fast.

-Despite not being the most popular character for some reason, I've had success with Link. I made it through Classic on hard my first time without continuing, the same playthrough I got Ganondorf too. Toon Link seems even better, but he has less reach with some attacks because he is smaller. The biggest likes? Dark Link costumes for both, and the original link coloration for Toon Link. Also I've gotten their Final Smash a whole bunch and always take out all my opponents at once by sheer luck.

-My favorite part of the SSE, or perhaps more accurately the part I love to hate because it is so long, is the last level, the Great Maze. Incorporating bits of every level, every fighter and every boss, followed by the final fight with Tabuu, or more accurately Tron... Not really Tron, but still.. He even has the disc and turns into a freaking laser bike! Out of all the bosses besides the final, I think I liked Porky the best... It made me wish there were more bosses who had pivotal impacts from the series they came from, like Ridley, who made an awesome two bosses, but I would have loved to see playable.

So lets begin with my getting my grubby hands on this goodness:

1. Reserved it at a mall that did not have a midnight release... all for the better, I suppose, seeing as it was rather windy said release date.

2. Morning of the 9th I was kindly escorted to the mall around opening, since I might have been dropped off at work afterwards if I went to school right from there. No line, no hassle, paid my dues and bought an SD card for stages, screens and videos.

3. Wasn't even ten minutes after opening that I was already out of there. Got home quick, popped the damn thing in and got ready to play my heart out for the next ten minutes.


It really sucks that I had work an hour after the mall opened... I only got a chance to play one run on Classic. Played as Meta Knight first, just like I've always wanted, and he was exactly what I expected him to be, pros and cons alike. Insane speed and ability to rack up damage, but slight lack of good launches. Played on easy solely for the purpose of being able to get to work on time, so I beat Master Hand in about five seconds with Meta's insane awesomeness. However, I was bested by Luigi because he fire punched me. D:

I haven't even had time to play all the characters yet, since I had to go back to school the morning after I spent several hours playing through classic a few times and then playing some Subspace Emissary. So far, I unlocked Capn' Falcon through classic, Ness and Marth through vs matches that I was using to unlock Snake through the means I had heard about prior to buying the game, and then Falco through SSE. I also got my hands on Dorfy by playing Hard mode Classic with Link, in his Dark Link costume... so badass. :3

Incidentally, I feel that either Brawl is easier than Melee in some respect I can't put my finger on, or I just have a better overall skill level, because I find it much easier to be playing all the one player modes on Hard. I have yet to play any matches online to see whether or not I am total suckage... We'll see.

I haven't even touched some of the new characters or altered veterans, but here are some individual impressions of those that stood out to me:

Meta Knight: Total badass... The only thing that would have made him even more enjoyable was a color replicating the Dark Meta Knight colors from Amazing Mirror... Oh wait, he has that. Perfect awesome harmonium.

DeDeDe: I haven't had TOO much time with the big guy, but its pretty fun to see the computer falling directly into your charged smash attacks and certain doom along with it. I'll have to practice if I plan to play the big guy well against human opponents, though.

Ike: Although his recovery is pretty trashy, several direct hits from this beast seems to send foes packing... Tricky human opponents will definitely be much tougher to beat with him, though.

Snake: Lot of fun, if a little confusing at first... I blow myself up a lot because I misjudge the general range of his explosive attacks. Its also awesome once you start to meet him in Classic mode, and I've seen him every time since I unlocked him around the same spot.

I played several other characters while playing SSE, but not enough to know if I like them or not. Regardless, here are some of my SSE impressions:

-Hands down, the coolest group I've had so far is Meta Knight, Marth and Ike, not only for being some of my favorite characters, but also for having the coolest meeting sequences ever, those being the duel between Meta and Marth, and the incredible entrance where Ike pulls out an Aether on the Ancient Minister's bomb.

-Aside from the Meta and Marth duel cutscene, I have to say I was all like "AW HELL NAW" when Link mistook Mario and Pit for the enemy and almost made himself a Mario shish kabob.

-The bosses so far have been pretty cool. On hard the player character bosses provide a decent enough challenge, especially when you happen to be on your last life because the platforming elements may or may not have robbed you of the rest. XD The other bosses are pretty sweet too... I must admit that fighting Porky proved a little annoyance when forced to play only Lucas and Ness... they didn't seem to have the best knack I craved to attack the guy. My sincerest hope is to do battle with the Ancient Minister at some point...

-On that note, a certain cutscene alluded to perhaps either the Minister's identity... if not that, perhaps just the means ROB fits into the story. I'm referring to how the Minister seemed to look rather lethargic as he watched the ROBs arming the bomb and waving him the "A-Okay" sign.

I'm so sad that SSBB isn't out yet, but I'm coping.. Luckily, I'm bogged down with so much school work and work work that time flies by pretty quickly, and I have a week off about a week after Brawl is finally released, so when it finally DOES get into my grubby little hands, I'll have plenty of time to swoon over it... but I digress.

The REAL reason that I've called you all here this evening is something completely unrelated to Brawl... although I have been doing a lot of Brawl related sketches for characters and stages I'd love to see (some done, just not scanned), and although I do have a considerable workload for my five art classes this semester (and nothing else D: ), I was wondering which of these ideas you would like to see more of from me in the near future... odds are I'll do a little from each just so that you have some idea of what the heck is going on, but until then, try to last soley on my descriptions.

1. The Crescent Moon:
My longest running potential series, although it has undergone countless changes over the years, some of which have been seen on here but are far too incoherent to even understand. Long story short, early on it will be kind of a faction based conflict between an oppressive, technologically advanced nation and the various other provinces resisting annexation. The main characters are focused in what is actually a moving city, but I'll explain that more with actual pictures... its a confusing concept if I try to explain it without them, but in involves magnetic rock. What I am having a lot of trouble deciding is whether to do it in more of a comic book fashion, or a graphic novel fashion... many of my other ideas could teeter either way as well.

2. Unnamed project #1:
This project is currently unnamed because I don't have many of the story points down yet... its a bit all over the place. But what I CAN draw for you are mainly the characters and environments. The main character is an ordinary human girl, but through the story she is accompanied by a "rat prince" (a humanoid with a rat tail and pointed ears, not really rat ears), a four-armed pirate, and a young "half tree" boy. Races encountered include mushroom-headed types, cat-like people (to counterbalance the rat character in a way XD), a number of other multi-armed races I thought up, as well as a a faction of nightmarish monsters as one set of antagonists, and another set featuring what are essentially empty suits of armor powered by glass globes positioned somewhere on their "bodies". Not much story explained there, but... Maybe the character descriptions would interest you. XD On a quick side note, my featured deviation features a character from said series, a side character called Fortissimo.

3. Unnamed vampire project:
I actually have a number of drawings featuring characters from this same project, but I can easily post better versions. What I would essentially be going for in this series is a less-than-traditional vampire aspect. This one I can foresee working well in a graphic novel format, so I might do pictures accompanied with huge walls of text, hopefully for your enjoyment.

4. Monkey comic project:
This particular project is actually the newest one I've come up with... Essentially, it will be a comic that is basically random and funny. The main character is a very disgruntled, blue-haired monkey man who gets fired from his job in the first panel, but tries to talk his way out of it in following panels, stating that its ridiculous he's been fired after only existing for less than a minute. It's really weird... someone might like it. D:

5. Mulligan Goes to War
Another comedy one, more of an action comedy. The main character, Mulligan, a rather silent hero, is drafted into the military to stop an invasion of mutated sea creatures... he's essentially a fisherman, but for some reason when I conceived him I drew him with what appears to be a combination of a russian hat with one of those sheik hat/veil/hood/whatevers, I don't know. Some highlighted tidbits to spark your interest: His commander is Cyborg Teddy Roosevelt, he has a knife for every day of the year and makes sure to celebrate each of their birthdays by stabbing it into something, and he has a giant harpoon with a shotgun tied to it, engraved "Youth in Asia".

6. The Masked Adventures of Masked Guy, Masked Action Hero:
Another action comedy, this time starring Masked Guy, who's sole power is the power of anonymity... well, its more like he wear's a helmet, but there is a good explanation for that that's brought up in the story itself. The cast is colorful, but is kind of haphazardly chosen... no real theme going on with most of the characters. One of the villains is a meatball, though, with spaghetti tentacles. Oh yes.

Contained, sir, is a 5 minute video of gameplay footage from Super Smash Brothers Brawl. And not the kind filled with screaming Nintendobags in the background, this is crisp sound complete with music tracks unheard on the Dojo.

I highly recommend you have a look, unless you are the kind of person who doesn't want to know anything about a game until its released... It'll be released in Japan in a week and America in a month, so you have a LOOONG time to avoid the spoilers.

Highlights included include well executed Final Smashes, delicious music tracks, indication of level elements and design, as well as starting with a dramatic one-on-one and finishing with another. I highly recommend it, once again, and if you haven't been sure about Smash in the past, you certainly might be now.

After spending most of my break too distracted by work and other stuff to actually get any drawing done, on my second night here I had a sudden burst of wanting-to-drawness. Within a couple hours (which is mostly just because I was half distracted as I did it and I spent a while researching reference material. Go me!) I drew up some more Smash Bros related sketches. Tomorrow I plan to ink them and maybe even go and scan them after class if I feel up to it.

First one was Zant, which by far I am the most satisfied with because of how much material I was able to cover on one page, as well as the quality of the sketch itself compared to some of the ones I did later. Just have to ink, scan, rearrange in Photoshop so it has some cohesive order, and color a tad.

Second one is very obscure... Dr Weil from his boss form in Megaman Zero 4. Not only does he even merit a character space EVER, he's also a character that would be toned down from a fairly larger size. Still, all things considered, I am satisfied with the movelist I came up with, and I was actually satisfied with the sketch of his complex design!

Third one was a level design, a level vaguely based on Megaman X or Zero, taking place in a desert and then making transitions on various moving vehicles before eventually ending at the starting point. Will be easier to describe once you can see it.

Fourth one was Bass/Forte from the Megaman BN series, and he had so much stuff involved it took up 2 pages. After being afraid of drawing him for quite a while, I discovered it wasn't THAT hard if I didn't really care about being 100% accurate. XD I'd wager a guess between 70-60% accurate. D:

Last one for the night, when I was feeling increasingly burned out and distracted by the girls hanging out in here tonight was King K. Rool, whose move list I am satisfied with, but my sketches are sub par. Tomorrow I bet I can touch them up a tad before inking over them, and the result might be a bit prettier when I get to scanning them.


Anyway, this has been good for me. I'm taking 5 art classes this semester, meaning that ALL my classes are art related, so I sure as hell better be getting into the idea of lots and lots and LOTS of art. After I get this fan stuff out of my system, I think I might FINALLY, GENUINELY, ACTUALLY get stuff done that I've said I was getting done for ages and ages. Lets hope for it!

Any suggestions for feeding my obsession for Smash Brothers? I need something to keep me satiated until the Japanese release of Brawl on the 31st of this month, so that the info about THAT can hold me over until the American release on the 9th of March... God damn marketing. Daaaammmmnnn...

Just a fun little thing I wanna do before I turn in for a short nap... I know I've been scarce lately. I owe many comments on work that I've just breezed over up until now, and I also want to get a bit more drawing done. But it'll have to wait until I'm all settled here in school. Until then, here's something I stole from

1. My favorite genre of game:
Mostly action based games, be they First Person Shooters, fighters or fast paced action RPGs. However, I do have a soft spot in my heart for turn-based RPGs and strategy games like FFT and Fire Emblem. I have fun with puzzlers too, but my collection doesn't have many of those.

2. My favorite game/games:
In no real order- Guilty Gear XX, Legend of Zelda - Link to the past, Dynamite Headdy, Alien Soldier, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Soul Calibur 3, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Gears of War, Halo 3, Bioshock, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Resident Evil 4, Super Smash Brothers series, Megaman X1, X4, X6, Zero series, ZX, ZXA, Sonic 2 & 3+Knuckles, Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Superstar, Mischief Makers, Super Metroid, Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess, Ys series, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, I could really go on and on...

3. My hated game/games:
Games that have no place trying to milk money from an non-game related franchise for a quick buck and a shitty game.

4. My favorite enemies (minion enemies):
Final Guards from later Castlevania games (where they are huge), Shy Guys, Theron Guards, X Drones and Galleons, Magitek Armors, Knuckle Joe

5. My most hated enemies (minion enemies):
Some of these are guys I love to hate because they are challenging, but others just suck... Theron Guards, that damn monkey in Sonic that made me lose all my rings because I got stuck on that rock!, Chomps, Redead and any variation of them, Brutes from Halo because I thought they were kinda stupid compared to the Elites, Brute Chieftains because the sticky grenades don't work, Malboros, Cactuars

6. My favorite enemies (bosses):
WW GANON, Stallord from TP, Volvagia from OoT, the second to last boss of SotC with the sword who attacked the bridges you jump on, and almost any Colossus in terms of design really, Leopaldon from GG Isuka, Kamella and Bouldergeist from Super Mario Galaxy, The "Final Bosses" of each major story-line in Legend of Mana, Giga Bowser, Mizar from Jet Force Gemini, Agahnim, Xi Tiger from Alien Soldier... Just too many to count.

7. My most hated enemies (bosses):
Same deal with the hated bosses as hated enemies... Damn Turtle Colossus from SotC, and the two really fast running ones for that matter, and the lizard on hard mode, and the sand worm that jumps out of the sand after you on hard mode, Leopaldon from GG Isuka on any mode harder than Normal, all the bosses in Halo 3, General RAAM on Insane from GoW, damn Cyber Demon from the second to last level of Doom, Magus in CT on my first playthrough when I was under-leveled, Galactic Emperor in Gotcha Force (so annoying sounding...), all they guys trying to break my shit in Viva Pinata, OLCADAN!... On and on. AND ALGUS from FFT! THE BASTARD!

8. Most loved good-character:
Lets saaay... Locke Cole on the good-good page, Marcus Phoenix on the good-total badass page.

9. Most hated good-character:
Probably... Gordon, from Disgaea. Almost everything stemming from him and his crew made me feel weird. But I guess it was kind of funny for me to almost entirely forget what the game had been about up until that point.

10. Most memorable game:
Final Fantasy VI. Tons of cool memories revolving around both that and FFT.

11. Least memorable game:
Sewer Shark.

12. Favorite segment of game(a gun battle, for instance):
Hmm... The final battle sequence of Kingdom Hearts 2 is probably the most recent high ranking scene like that in my memory.

13. Least favorite segment of a game:
Puzzles that are needlessly complicated and make no sense.

14. Most loved storyline:
Metal Gear Solid for its sheer complexity. D:

15. Favorite secret/easter egg/cheat:
Getting Link to show up in Super Mario RPG, and when you jump on him it plays his Puzzle Solved sound effect!

16. How many games you've think you've played in your life:
More than most of you.

Too many, and many more that I can't even remember.

18. Favorite weapon:
Muramasa in Castlevania Curse of Darkness... I can't believe it, I turned 21!~!!!

To no surprise to me, I ended up getting a little drunk after being taken out by my friends from work right after work... That is, without events of a drawing nature... This Tuesday I'll be going to see Spamalot in the city as an earlier birthday present (Yeah.. early by like 4 hours D: <, but I have meaning to ask someone to go since I got 2 tickets, but I haven't yet! D:

Anywaaay, I actually have been drawing a lot more today than the whole break combined, but thats still not as much as I would have liked... I blame it partially on my massive headache and the fact that I was so sick yesterday that I called out of work. Most of the drawings probably won't end up on here anyway, 'cept maybe one of this one guy who is a combination of total badassness and total gayness on account of he wears a tiger-striped cloak with a fluffy trim. o__o You must see it to understand just how much of a paradox it is.

The hollerdehs have been pretty good... Had a nice kwissmiss and a happy neu yeo... god, these are making my head hurt even without saying them out loud. D: But here's a list of media I like from the break and several weeks prior just because I'm trying to ride out this horrible headache I have. ;__;


Megaman ZX Advent:
Personally, I think that lately the various Megaman series have been taking steps in a more positive direction... For example, a couple years ago the Zero Series became the first one to "end", setting the stage for the ZX series. After playing ZX, I feel that this one is even more fun. The system it has gives the main character the ability to transform into any major boss defeated, sans the bosses of the second to last and final stages of the game. Ups and downs in that department, since only several forms are useful more than once or twice, but still pretty cool.

I think one of my favorite aspects was the fact you were fighting other Megamen using the different models from the first game. I just think its really lame that your character just transforms into the boss characters instead of having his own variation of the various models, however 13ish forms isn't something to shake a finger at.

The fact there was voice acting was cool, BUT some of them sucked, as is to be expected from Capcom from personal experience. The absolute WORST voice actor happened to be one I was hoping would be at least kind of cool, but he only appears in one scenario, but... -Shudder- It was so bad the guy was credited with only one name in the credits sequence, as if people were gonna track him down and beat him up for sounding so horrible. D: The fact there is a boss rush mode was totally awesome for me, however I was more than agitated after getting to the final boss several times, and twice being beaten on my last hit because he accidentally teleported on top of me... Lamest death ever at the most inappropriate time. ;__;

Incidentally, after finally beating the damn boss rush mode I was inspired to try and beat the final level of the original ZX on hard mode, and low and behold I discovered a very important mechanic of the game system that made it easier.. but not THAT much easier. Even after gathering up and saving with 9 lives, I just BARELY beat the final boss on my last life with an energy tank... I also discovered that by defeating the final boss in Aile's story, he reveals plot points that are later explained in ZXA, which kind of bothered me that I discovered it AFTER beating it, but it was still kinda cool.


Mass Effect:
Does it live up to the hype?... actually, I'm not sure what kind of hype it did and didn't get, I wasn't really paying attention. However, the dialog system is very pleasant, having the ability to get Shepard to range all the way from a galaxy-saving-do-gooder to a total badass who whips out his gun at the security officers and goes "Nobody takes my weapons..." Badass. I'm doing a second playthrough on the "New Game+" kind of mode, where you start the game with your character from the previous playthrough with all items and experience. However, with the unlocked Hardcore difficulty, many enemies have been bumped up to my current experience level, keeping it interesting while I get higher levels and sweet equipment like Colossus heavy armor. I recommend, for story purposes, getting either Charm or Intimidate pretty high as fast as you can, as it allows you to get some pretty cool conversation options as well as providing access to some cool scenes later on... If you have max in either of them, you can trigger possibly one of the coolest scenes in teh game in the last level. For serious. D: ... Saren for Brawl! (Just kidding, not really. D: )

So anyway, you might have happened to see on my latest deviation that I had planned to update several times a week with that new mini project, and obviously that has not been the case. The past week and a half has been busy because of work being crammed in before Thanksgiving break, as well as helping someone move and also just spending a bit more time at home last week because one of my classes didn't meet. However, I DO plan on resuming the project as soon as I get back from Thanksgiving break... I have more than enough ideas to do stuff with it.

But in case you HADN'T seen my last deviation, I'm going to be doing a series of conceptual sketches based on ideas I have had of fun things that would be cool to have in a Super Smash Bros game, based on the gameplay elements introduced up until the lastest, not yet released title, my obsession over which is the fuel for this stupid fandom in the first place. D:

My range of focus is going to be kind of varied. For example, I got it started with a rather large page of information revolving around a playable character. But if I was to do a simple item, for example, it would be a much smaller, easier-for-me-to-do kind of sketch. Others include level designs, items that summon things such as Pokeballs and assist trophies, Adventure Mode enemies, and possibly ideas for gameplay modes, although what they are adding to Brawl already kind of surpass any of my ideas for that at the moment. Some characters will appear with more than one page, such as when there is a character that I have ideas for a playable character, but is so obscure it would be a character better suited as an assist trophy or enemy.

Also, all ideas are simply hypothetical and for fun, so expect every once and a while to see something rather obscure (Such as my first one. FFVI D: ) or does not quite belong in the genre, such as a character that is ineligible because of never appearing on a Nintendo system. Its mostly to see how to have a lot of fun with a seemingly simplistic gameplay style.

Prolly the longest journal title I've ever had, whatever, I don't really care.

I know I've been more or less inactive for a looong while... I've let my pictures in my box pile up to about 2000 again, and my other messages are up to 792 even after deleting every non-journal message I'd read up until that point. Odds are lots are going to be lost in the fray without a comment, so if you REAAALLY want a comment I suggest you note me and I'll be happy to give you one.

I have a ton of work I want to scan, both serious attempts at stuff and just random scribbles that I think look nicer than others. However, the lack of a convenient scanner in my room makes it difficult for me to actually get them scanned... the only times the labs are open for free time are the times when I'm either too busy or too lazy to walk all the way there. And this week, even though I REALLY want to get them scanned, I might actually have so much going on that I won't even be able to think about it if I want to get all this work done. In fact, the only reason I'm even here typing is because I needed a friggin' break from studying for my Greek Civ midterm tomorrow, for which I probably am adequately prepared to pass, but I want that A dammit!

Some stuff to expect is probably some old Splatterhouse fanart I got done at the end of last semester. The rest will probably just be pages of sketches. I did manage to draw up some stuff I've wanted to do for my journal for a while, not like I've ever said anything worthwhile... one of them actually comments on that fact. But the small drawing I did for a "Works-in-progress" style header actually turned out looking better than what I USUALLY pump out... You'll see what I mean when I post it. I've got a little too much on my plate to finish the stuff I owe for people since like... forever. But I'll get that all done when the time comes... AFTER this week. Stupid midterms. Grrrrrrrr, and work. Gar. From BOF3, he was awesome, huh? Gar.

Oh, I bought a Wii out of impulse just because they finally had one one time when my boss dragged me to Circuit City so he could pick up that new Star Wars game for the PSP that had that whole deal for the white PSP with Vader on the back of it. I have to admit it was pretty sweet looking, but I could barely afford the Wii as it was. =X Still earning some money back. XD

As usual, I like hearing what YOU guys want me to draw. Doesn't mean I'll do it, but sometimes a little verbal prodding is enough inspiration for someone to do something random. Sooo... do that.

Wheel of morality, turn turn turn. Tell us the lesson that... wait a second. Nope. Actually, I'm just here to seem less... non-existant. The summer has been busy and somewhat uneventful in the ways of art, although I worked a whole lot but now have hardly any dough to show for it because I like to buy stuff. XD

Anyway, I'm back at school with mostly GenEd's and a basic drawing class I've been trying to find room for since day one. I'm also doing some more 3D graphics stuff in my next level of illustration. With a combination of work and school, I have less free time than ever.

HOWEVER, I plan to put aside time and actually work on artwork, preferably many of the drawings that I owe to people. Aside from that, there's mostly going to be doodles and fan art from now on, because I'd rather save original characters for something like my own webspace, whenever I get around to getting one of those. Meh.

As usual, you guys can make all the requests you want, but odds are I probably won't have the time to actually DO them. XD Well, who knows. That last one went pretty well with all those random quotes. Odds are the next batch of stuff I'll do will be related to fan art... I've wanted to draw stuff from nostalgic video games lately. XD

In order to escape listening to whatever my roommate and this one girl were gonna be talking about into the wee hours of the night tonight, I decided to grab some junk food and go to the art building to draw. I got there at about 11:30, started to draw at about 12:00, and then left at about 3:00. I'm not quite tired enough to go to bed yet, though. I managed to draw about 5 small pictures in my sketchbook, most of them random crap, although one was a much needed drawing of the main character from my story "The Crescent Moon", considering he's one of the characters I draw the LEAST.

Anyway, if my roommate can stop snoring, I think I'll try and go to sleep soon so I can wake up at 8:00 to start getting ready for class tomorrow. I'll be working on my final oil painting, for which I decided to do a painting of my interpretation of Typhon from Greek mythology. Other than that, I am really bored and tired, but not tired enough to go to bed.

*Very Partial Kingdom Hearts II Spoilers*

You all probably forgot about this, but remember that one journal where I made you pick an element, weapon and name so that I could fashion you in the visage of a Kingdom Hearts II villain? Well, I've actually taken another stab at it, and I'm actually satisfied with the results I am getting! So far I've only done the pencil sketch of four of them: Xalcresh, Charnax, Vaddix and Xain... You probably don't remember who those are, but soon I'll probably be posting them anyway.

Since I'm getting back into it, I'd like to take this opprotunity to see if anyone else wants to be drawn like a Kingdom Hearts II Nobody.

Here are the original details, which includes a list of the weapons and elements the actual KHII game used, which I discourage you from using if you can resist: [link]

However, in case you are too lazy, here is the basic premise:
-Choose an Element like fire or lightning, but it could also be something obscure like Psycokinesis or Animals (meaning control over animals, which was chosen already).
-Choose a weapon. Preferably something not on the list on the link above. It can also be something like a musical instrument or an everyday object, like a guitar or cards (which I'd prefer you wouldn't use, since they are already called).
-Make an acronym of your name and add the letter X somewhere... for example, the name Charles is rearranged and added with an X to form Xalcresh. If it is too hard to work with your name or psuedonym, feel free to add or subtract a letter to make it easier, or just make something up completely if you feel so inclined (I'm looking at you Dark... ).

So just comment with all three of those fields filled in, and I'll draw you a pretty cool Nobody. As I ink the sketches, I'll start to scan them in, and perhaps I'll even color them later on. Also, if you end up posting again after previously posting in my older journal, I'll use the one that you like better... that is, unless I've already sketched or inked yours (I'm looking at you Dark... ).

UPDATE 2/6/07: I emptied my message box. No messages. Note me if I missed something important.

After however many weeks of inactivity, I think its high time I dragged myself out of the ashes and started to do stuff again. Seriously, I've been about as active in my actual artistic endeavors as I have been here on DA, which is nil.

For starters, before you disappear from a long journal entry not interesting enough to hold your attention, know that I have been peeking in DA every so often to see how all y'all are doing artistically and otherwise, and though I haven't commented much, I have seen a lot of what you have been up to. However, if you have something that lit up your heart when you finished it and simply MUST have me see it, send me a note because I might have missed it. Also note that after skimming one final time (probably tomorrow), I will be deleted all my 2000+ messages cramming my box so I can have something that won't melt my brain. Once again, if you want to be sure I see it, Note me.

School's starting again... classes will be a bitch this semester because I have class 5 days a week, all but one of them being classes that only meet once a week, and thus seem to last forever. Odds are I'll be busy, but sometimes when I get busier I can get my drawing hand to work its drawing...ness.

Second order of actual business will be the cleaning out of my gallery. I doubt I will be deleting much except for stuff I especially despise, so most will just end up in my scraps. I guess its better to keep it; it shows me what progress I've made.

Lately I've also been considering posting much less or no artwork featuring my original characters... I will do art of them, but I have been taking into the consideration the prospect of my own website to showcase a legit portfolio. Of course I'd have to make it first, but once I have something worth while, I'd post it all on there rather than here. As for what I'd post here, it would probably be stuff like fan art or something random but still well thought out yet also not great enough for a decent portfolio... I'm not sure. We'll see. Any suggestions on whether this idea is any good or not are more than welcome.

Anyway, its 4 going on 5 in the morning and I am battling insomnia before the first day of classes. I'd best be off now.

According to my roommate Mauricio, I happened to start speaking in my sleep again... or rather, I have further proof that I probably haven't stopped. This one time, I really freaked out my best friend when he slept over by growling loudly in my sleep. Then my roommate mentioned a few minutes ago that I seemed to be speaking another language very fluently in my sleep and seemed rather threatening. Cool.

Its one of those things I'd love to have recorded, definately on audio, possibly video. Basically, the kind of thing that would be great to record, but you'd never have the means on hand to capture it. What a shame.

Alright, pushing myself even further under a recreational workload that I have no possible way of ever completing, I want to undergo ANOTHER fun little thing involving drawing renditions of DA friends... the only problem is that I still have an incomplete project of a similar nature that I won't feel comfortable leaving unfinished, sooooo... gotta finish that too. But here it is!

*PARTIAL KHII SPOILERS BELOW THIS POINT. ONLY PARTIAL!!!!*

Paying hommage to my Kingdom Hearts obsession and to my recent aquisition and completion of Kingdom Hearts II, I would like to draw versions of myself and my DA friends who wish to participate as Organization members. Those are the guys who dress in those black raincoats and have a sweet weapon and element. Here's the list of what's already taken... Not all elements have a coresponding weapon:

So when I EVENTUALLY get to this, I'll do individual pictures of each Nobody, and then put each of those pictures in a group shot for fun. What I need YOU to do to participate is choose the alias of your choice, turn it into a sweet acronym while adding the letter X in, and then choose an obscure element and even more obscure element. It would be much cooler to choose something not taken, but since it would be really obscure and hard to choose, I'll allow a few transgressions or offer an alternative. This is an idea I came up with a while back, and I probably won't start it for a long time, but I've always wanted to animate a cartoon in Flash or make sort of a comic or something or something based on the fight with Leopaldon, the final boss in Guilty Gear Isuka. I do this despite Isuka was probably one of the least popular GG games, and that nobody really care's about Leopaldon. I just think he looks awesome and that his song (see "Listening") is really awesome.

Basically, since the game had no story, I created my own idea about what happens in the fight with Leopaldon, and which characters are involved in it. I won't really bother with many of the details just yet since I can gurantee that less than all of you reading my journal have any idea what I'm talking about by this point.

I was also considering doing the pictures as a collaboration with other artists if I decided to do it in comic form, but I have no idea who would want to. Meh.

Well, its been a week from college and I'm feelin' fine. I pretty much just lazed around all day with my best friend watching movies and playing video games. But some stuff did happen.

Most importantly, I finally got my driver's license, which wasn't very hard. I still don't have a car... or a job. >_<

I got a bunch of cheap video games, too, such as the Megaman X collection, X7 just to complete my collection of X1-8, and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. They are all entertaining in different respects. My reserved copy of Howl's Moving Castle came too, which I watched about 5 times with different people.

I even got some drawing done, though mostly all in different levels of sketching. Most are some sweet redesigns from The Crescent Moon, mostly because I changed a lot of the storyline in certain spots. As for plans for drawing, I'm going to do something I rarely ever do: Fan art. I haven't been drawing as much as I should have, so I'm starting to get a little rusty, so I need some practice by butchering characters from games I like.

Simply a random update out of the sake of boredom and killing time until I go down to see a friend when he goes to work at the ice arena. School's going pretty well, and I'm working hard to finish an illustration in time for a competition. It will be very close.. but its looking pretty good. Its a VERY large ink and inkwash picture, so its taking a looong time.

Anyway, I've wanted to play some more SC3, so I'm going to bring my PS2 back to school. XD What I want to do is create designs of my DA associates as a cop-out for falling way behind in those fighting game pictures I was doing. XDDD I have a few sketches, but I've been doing lots of school-related artwork mostly in recent days. I actually got a couple back that I should scan and post from Illustration, though one of them is too big.

If anyone wants to suggest something or a character of some kind to make on the Create-a-Soul mode on SC3 let me know, because I'm sort of compiling a list of cool designs that I might contribute to one of those things on GameFAQs for the CAS mode.

PS: Does anyone know how to put a header and footer picture, and does anyone know a good size for one of those? XDDD

I've practically been in hibernation over the holiday break, and have YET AGAIN attained a message mark over 620, with 423 deviations and 170 journals, among other things. And I don't go back to school until Sunday, which means I won't really have an awesome modem to check all those until then.

Anyway, I have GOOD REASON why this happened... maybe. For starters, Christmas was good. I got a cool game that I've somehow already put 50+ hours into called Disgaea, a very FF Tactics style RPG, AND I got a tablet, which I am now worshiping. THEN my two cool cousin type people came over from Wisconsin for over a week, which involved a lot of wild party type stuff, going to diners and playing Disgaea. THEN after they left my birthday rolled around on the 9th, for which I was presented with warm slippers and another game from my friend.

But at the very least, I was able to draw a contest entry, an art trade I desperately needed to do, and two t-shirt designs for my bro you might not ever see. I also added a little poll for the pictures I'll be drawing next. :3

Stolen from ... I'm not entirely sure how to do this. Its probably meant for a character that represents you, and since I don't really have one right now, I'll do the main character from my biggest story.

What is your character's name?: Jared. No last name even after all these years. I found a name while writing this.. Jared Tahir. Hmm. Weird.

What kind of character is it? (furry, anime, etc) and any particular race?: His form is human, but he is an early generation of the race called the Mystics, the much more aesthetically appealing of the other race on their planet at that time, the Titans. They are semi-immortal (as far as they know.. very long lives, but not many or none have died of natural causes) and have powerful physical and magical traits.

What is the first thing your character would think of when he/she first wakes up?: “Will it never end?”

Your character's favorite outfit would be?: Anything that would conceal him. Usually large hooded cloaks.

When your character looks into a mirror, what's the first thing they would notice?: His mind would likely start to play tricks on him. Either that or he would see his brother in himself and break the mirror in frustration.

Does your character have the same tastes in food as you?: Not really. He'd probably have a healthy diet to keep himself strong.

How is your character similar to you?: Usually wants the best for people, but can't figure out how to make it happen.

How is she/he different?: Aside from being more physically attractive, confident, powerful, and being totally awesome? Not much.

If your character could speak, would they have the same voice as you?: Not at all. He is a good speaker, and is polite. XD

If you were to suddenly become your character, what do you think would be the first thing you would do as them?: Make the world a better place, mostly by threatening people with awesome sword skills. XD

Is there something about your character that you don't like how others think of them?: I don't think many people know much about him, which is my fault rather than their's. XD

What advantages does your character have over you?: So many powers and abilities.

What disadvantages?: He's constantly hounded by people that make his life a living hell. XD

Do you have any secrets relating to your character that only you know?: I created based on a way I appeared in a dream I had.

Do you have any secret drawings only you know about?: I tried a few sketches of him and Alexandra kissing... Of course the picture of them in each other's arms in a pond in their undies is far more risque!

Do you have any plans for your character or are you working on something big relating to him/her?: I might finally start writing my story and reveal what he's all about. XD

What misconception(s), if any, do people have about your character?: When I made him in Soul Calibur 3's "Create a Character" mode, my brother was surprised to see him in green. His outfit early in the story is green, but my brother thought it would be red, and it changed his entire outlook on his personality.

If you could have just ONE characteristic from your character, what would it be?: His attractiveness. XD

Have you made any characters that go along with yours, based on real-life people, that have the same relationship with your character as you with the real-life person?(such as, you and your mom, your character and its mom): There was one character (no longer a part of the story) who had my brother's name. Forrest. He was called Forrest Traveller.

Have you written any stories about your character?: In my head. Not on paper yet.

How has your character changed since his/her first creation?: Very much, but his overall look aside from clothes hasn't changed. He's always had the headband. His personality has changed too.

Now that I have your attention, let me lose it in three seconds or less. XD

Well, after watching an amazingly well animated flash movie, I was somehow motivated to get back to drawing again. So -- I finished inking up a little thing I had been cooking up on and off for the past few weeks and did a decent coloring in photoshop. Now that I have my will to be drawing again, I can finish some stuff I owe that one person who bothers me a whole lot... you know who you are! Okay, she doesn't bother me.. I probably bother her more. XD

I think the main reason I was drawn away from drawing is Soul Calibur 3, which I picked up a few weeks ago... what can I say, the game is sweet. XD In fact, I was playing it earlier today, and I'll probably play it again after some homework I need to do. But I'll still draw. XD

Feel free to suggest something for me to draw after the stuff I owe... I am very indecisive, and sometimes need some pushing to make a decision, so suggest something. X3

Since I was tagged a SECOND time by , I've decided to take up the challenge and do another twenty facts, bringing it to 40 fun facts about LD! I'll be starting this set at twenty-one, thank you very much.

21. I like drawing and designing villains almost too much... Occasionally my villains ended up with more backstory than the main characters.

22. I constantly stub my toe. If there is any chance of people dying from toe stubbing, mine is 90% more potent than anyone in the world.

23. My grandfather was an artist, my dad does watercolors in his spare time (and has some rather nice ones at that), while my brother and sister both have artistic abilities they don't really pursue. Then there's me. Yeah. Genetics, maybe? X3

24. I enjoy MMORPGs, but I barely play any because they cost money. ><

25. I once beat Donkey Kong Country for the SNES in a little over an hour. Awesome.

26. I find episodes of Zatch Bell that I happen to watch in passing out of boredom so depressing that I am almost moved to tears. Its a depressing show. ;_;

27. In similar news, some other really weird videogame/tv things that made me sad was Dinobot dying in Beast Wars (twice), practically all of Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal, the last episode of Escaflowne, and the ending of Legacy of Kain: Defiance.

I was at boyscout camp once, didn't bother taking down my cooler of junkfood down from the bear rope all week, took it down after 11 PM on the last night to leave it by the trailer, and by 5:55 AM, a bear had dragged it off less than 50 feet into the woods and ate everything (Except the spicy 3D Doritoes. Either it couldn't handle the spiciness, or its simple mind could simply not grasp the concept of a chip in the THIRD DIMENSION!)

39. I hate eggs unless its a lesser ingredient for something like bread or something. Eggs in their Eggs state just do not work for me.

40. I have deja vu very frequently. Not to the point where I go insane or think the Agents are coming, but I have a chuckle at how surprisingly similar the two situations are (which is usually some mundane proceedure than an actual event).

I have some pictures I started working on (some from the beginning of the semester) that I may finish in the near future. Given proper punches to the face, I may finish some faster than normal:

-Another one of Jared's Dreams, where three apparitions of Hecate are surrounding him.
-A much needed update of my main character from my story about elements.
-A picture of two characters I have yet to draw regularly here on DA, and I regret that. Sirius (There's a sexy pic of him somewhere in the back of my gallery) vs Zorg, one of Armageddon's brothers. It looks awesome.

Okay, I was REALLY tired earlier, so I took a nap that took about 4 hours. What was weird was that I kept having strange dreams, which progressively took more and more symbolic forms that seemed to convey positive messages. What I believe happened was that inside our minds is a certain amount of information accumulated over the course of our non-sleeping hours. You brain processes the information while you sleep, resulting in dreams (I took a Human Behavior class my Senior year in high school, and we did a section on dreams, so I'm not pulling this out of my ass this time). Okay, what I AM pulling out of my ass is that perhaps the brain processes negative information first, and then as you get deeper and deeper, it will get to the positive things that really matter. Or thats what happened during my nap, anyway.

So now for the best part: the dreams themselves. Okay, I can't remember part of the first ones because of the fact I fell asleep again and they disappeared. But the earliest I recall is where I was in this big, somewhat fancy place at some dining ceremony, but they were serving crappy college food. And I kept going from place to place looking for something to eat because I was hungry, but all they did was direct me to another place.

Somewhere afterwards, I was encountered by three women in the dream who I had clearly never met before, but in my dream I knew who they were, and I have some reason to believe this isn't the first dream I've seen them in. There was a brown-haired one that I always wanted to avoid for some reason. I don't quite know why, but... Anyway, the second one had white hair and I always seem to end up making a deal or bet with her. I actually won this time, or at least thats what I believe. The third one had black hair and was very shy and quiet, and she always was around the white-haired woman. The white-haired woman had bet me I couldn't ditch the brown-haired woman in five minutes, and suddenly I went from a room inside a cruise ship or something to my ratty bedroom. Long story short, I somehow managed to meet the terms of the bet at the last minute.

The third part took a turn for the weird. I was in a mall or food place with my dad and sister, and me and some people were talking, and as we were talking and they handed me a newspaper with a picture of what happened, what we were talking about became what was happening in my dream. Apparently, a three-headed shark man punched a wrestler into a state of unconsciousness, warded everyone off with a very awkward looking pistol, robbed the neighboring store which seemed to be connected to the first one, then ran into the expansive parking lot and jacked a car for his escape. Then my dad showed up, and I went back to the car. I kept fearing that the three-headed shark man would show up, but instead a kid from my town, who I met today for the first time at my college (I knew he was going here), met me AGAIN in my dream. After that, my dad and sis show up, but for some reason there's this heavy machinery around us building, so we just go. Yeah. We ended up on a dirt road in the middle of the woods, and my dad said that he couldn't tell where we were. Then I mentioned the headlights, and it turned out the headlights weren't on. He turned them on and suddenly knew where they were, then I woke up.

As I got back to sleep the dream took a stranger, somewhat darker turn. The first scenes kept jumping foward in time, involving these two guys, one saying strange things about death and existence, the other disagreeing and shaking it off (The talky guy seemed to be an enemy or a negative feeling inside the other guy, who the dream revolves around later). The bad guy, if he was actually there once, eventually is just an idea, because he seems to be a ghost or something. He kept telling the good guy, who was around his son or grandson, that he could never keep ideas of death and destruction away from the kid, but the good guy disagreed. Then the guy got a call about something which somewhat contradicted him, and I was randomly transported to where that was (it was playing a lot like a movie now). At first it looked like some kind of explosive, possibly armed, drifting from a lake onto someone's yard. I turned the corner a second and looked back, and suddenly it was a body-bag instead, and the good guy was there. I actually (thought) I closed my eyes here, because I didn't want to see the person disfigured or something, but it had a dramatic, loud, scary sound effect at a suspenseful point and plot twist, and I had to open them again. Turns out there was a girl in the bag, not dead looking or anything, but when he opened up the bag it turned out she was alive. She got up and started wandering around, very shocked, and actually afraid of the good guy. Get ready for the Season 3 Perfect Box Set of Lord-Duncanisms!!! That's right, I've been staying up all night with intense insomnia just to tell YOU all this random crap I thought up over the course of my life which holds no merit to anyone or anything, but I talk about it anyway! Isn't that great!?

This month we're talking Do Overs. No, I don't mean redoing a sports play where you blatantly cheated and you call a Do Over because you don't want to look like an asshole, but are an asshole for not admitting you blatantly cheated. No, I'm talking about crappy stuff I happened to kind of like, and changing some of the little things in order to make it awesome or more modern, depending on the time frame we's talkin'.

To begin, lets hit everyone's favorite 80's cartoon they don't even know about:

-Inhumanoids-

Okay, if you actually have ever heard of this show, I have to give you a big fat kiss. Inhumanoids was one of those scrappy 80's cartoons like Transformers and G.I. Joe, which makes sense considering the same company made them all. In fact, one of the villains from Inhumanoids was Starscream and the Cobra Commander from Transformers and G.I. Joe, respectively. Basically, the show was about this group of scientisty type people who had awesome robot suits for going underground, and there were these three enormous monsters called Inhumanoids. One was a tentacle monster, the leader was a fire spitting ogre-type, and my favorite was D'Compose; a half-rotten dinosaur type guy who turns people into zombies by touching them. Of course, I'm making it cooler sounding than it actually was. Most people hated the show, but thats mostly because they only saw the 5 episode "movie pilot" version, which was really the worst of the series. Later episodes had more violence, a cooler robot suit for the human bad guy, an evil former scientist brought back to life as a horrifying, and surprisingly buff monster with a big tentacle arm, and Communist Russia! Awesome.
Anyway, in this modern world we live in, I'm certain they could remake this piece of crap into an actually acceptable show after I punch enough producers in the nose. For one thing, make the monsters buffer looking. The original monster designs were those fat monster designs with big elephant feet. Uncouth. Make them crypticly awesome. Secondly, make the humans less buff looking. This ain't G.I. Joe, jackass. Third, no Communism. We don't need another Red Scare. Lastly, more violence and more fighting. Nuff said.

Next, let us leap and bound into the Nintendo Entertainment System!:

-Clash at Demonhead-

Alright, this was a scrappy little piece which was called Clash at Demonhead instead of whatever the japanese name was. Lost of stuff was lost in translation here, particularly half of the main character's name. The character was a sort of secret agent hero in a tight red suit named Big Bang, but they only called him Bang in English. Whatever. Anyway, the gameplay was pretty scrappy, but it did have some cool character designs that seemed to be made by Manga artists on speed. Awesome!
Several things could be improved in a remake. One, graphics, of course. Two, make a point where BB actually fights Tom Guycott, that kind of cool skeleton guy from level one! Three, which should have been two, make the gameplay fastpaced with crazy punch moves and give his gun limited ammo. It would make it cooler. Four, make boss fights crazy awesome instead of semi-predictable patterns. Five, let the Demon fight with his whole body instead of randomly loosing his body and just sending this floaty eye around the room! Also, the Sword of Apollo should make BB fight with a sword instead of shooting swords out of his gun. Last, the final boss should be the alien that taunts BB at the core of the base. THEN he should disarm the bomb.

Crap, I forgot the rest of the stuff I was going to gripe about. TO BE CONTINUED!!!

By the way, if ANYONE can make two tails about what the heck just went on here, you get a cookie, friend.

Mwahaha, I've made a frivilous purchase with my newfound college powers and got myself a DA subscription.

Thus, with the subscription, I was wondering... how many of my watchers consider me to be a good DA friend? Half the people I watch I hardly visit enough, and it makes me feel like an asshole. XD

Alright, I'm finally at college. Classes don't start until Wednesday, so its sort of uneventful. I heard about some Frat parties, but that's not my kind of party, so... uneventful. I have yet to start drawing again, but I hope to do so soon. I bought myself a nice little sketch book to work in, and the pages are actually meant to be torn out of it, so they'll fit nice and easy in my combination printer/scanner. -Drool-

Yes, I got the printer/scanner, some nice Bose speakers, and a 4GB iPod Mini for buying myself a G5 iMac... it was a bit pricey, but in my opinion, well worth it.

Unfortuneately... I don't have Photoshop or Illustrator yet, so... colored pieces are pretty much out of the question. I forgot my colored pencils, too. I only remembered my pencils and pens. ;_;

But FORTUNEATELY, the environs somehow got me to writing again!... sure its only about 3 paragraphs IF that, but its a start!

Anyway, I'll get back to my doing nothing now. Hopefully I'll finish up some drawings I need to do soon. XD

The Apocalypse Syndrome was from a story of mine formerly entitled "Ragnarock", but seeing as that is a generally overused title, I was thinking about actually just changing the story's name to Apocalypse Syndrome and renaming what AS originally stood for... The story takes place in the future, where all the nations of the world have achieved a general peace and coexisted for over a decade. However, with the rumored reappearance of a stone that grants its holder a world-changing wish, and the sudden emergance of several men with various supernatural powers (The Apocalypse Syndrome), the nations of the world unite against them. The story follows a female main character who accidentally stumbles upon and awakens a group of guardians that are meant to lead whoever awakens them to the stone.

Now for the Apocalypse Syndrome codenames:

Chaos: A bald guy with psychic powers and a badass outfit and sunglasses that travels around the world inconspicuously on a cool motorcycle.

Hazard: A crazed, sword-weilding lunatic who can run nearly as fast as the speed of sound.

Pandemonium: The rival of Hazard, with the ability to control electricity.

Calamity: A mysterious woman with a rocket engine strapped to her back and gloves equipped with flame-throwers. Her skin is said to be as hard as rock and that there are cross-hairs in her eyes (The reason being is that she is an android).

Catastrophe: An enigmatic man who is three times bigger than the average human. He has a crown-like brace fused to his skull, and it is said he has suffered many cruel experiments before breaking loose. The jewel on his head changes color depending on the type of energy or fighting style he is using (he's a martial artist type guy).

Disaster: An empty suit of armor given life by unknown means. It absorbs all elements, using them to create illusions of magical powers that he fights with. His favorite technique is forming weapons from kinetic (fiery usually) combinations of elements.

Massacre: A mysterious ninja with stereotypical awesome ninja skillz. Mwahaha.

Oblivion: An entity of darkness that lives to destroy.

Infinity: An entity of light that lives to restore all Oblivion destroys, but by no means is on anyone else's side, and is as much of a threat as Oblivion.

Anyway, here's a short update. I've been on Vacation since Saturday, hanging down at the shore with family and good friends. The beach has been fun (although I think I let the waves hit my spine too many times yesterday... ouch), and so has the parties... Okay, I admit there is SOME drinking going on, but only... at... night. Every night... X_X Thankfully, nobody is overdoing it.

But the best part is that I'm actually DRAWING some! My aunt gave me a little set of a pen with different size tips (Along with a substantial check... *cough*) which I CANNOT put down! I have some pictures done or in progress that I can't wait to submit.

Lastly, today is the day I head down to my college for orientation. I'm a little nervous, even though I shouldn't be. XD I hope they tell us some stuff I want to know, but I'm sure that the stuff I REALLY want to know won't be told to us until the last minute.

Okay, I've been REAAALLY busy this week, so I haven't had many chances to enjoy the random free week subscription I got. Whatever. I have to admit it DOES tempt me to subscribe at least a little bit. XD

Anyway, I'm gonna try to get a backround for that picture of Agmon soon, as well as finish the backround on that picture of Rand. I'm also trying to get as much work on my requests done as I can... Gah, I'ma jerk with those requests. XD

I am sooo clooose to graduating high school! I can't stand it >_< There is less than six actual school days until my finals, then I graduate... GAH!!! Just get there already!!!!

Wow! I got a free week's subscription!!! After seeing some of these features, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to subscribe... XD They aren't even that big a deal, if you think about it, but... GAH!

Anyway, Here's some news for ya. My school's Art and Technology Show is this upcoming Wednesday, and the reason I've been a bit inactive is that I've been struggling to get some bigger projects (The ones I can't scan because they are too big >.< done for said Art Show. I'm hoping I can finally take the time to figure out how to work my six year old digital camera (A real fossil that I've only used once XD) working so I can take some pictures of the show.

Anyway, in about an hour I'll be at my future college, Montclair State University, taking a math assessment test. XD Its supposed to last 2.5 hours, which is a real drag... >.< I think I'll do fairly well, though.

Anyway... god, I have a problem. I use words like "Anyway, usually, probably, especially, and a whole lot of other crap" way too much. I need to see a doctor about that. Or maybe and English teacher.

... Anyway, I'm done preparing big works for the show, so I'll be trying to get as much little DA work as I can this week while I have the chance to enjoy it with a subscription... YAY!
