I'd have to say that that series is one of my favorite shows now. The mech battles are epic, the writing is great and funny, and it's beautifully animated with a very unique art style compared to most anime. I highly reccomend it to all. It's relatively short, only 27 episodes, but it's worth it.

I've been trying to get better at drawing people, and have started some pictures of my characters that I'll be submitting soon. I just finished the lineart for two new characters as well.

Fine Arts Festival is this weekend, so I'm in a rush to get something done for it. I wish I would have known earlier, so I could have taken my time on a project to submit. D:

Today we also had our giant anime club party for the last meeting, which was very fun. There was a Brawl tournament there, and I signed up for the expert bracket. I wish I could say that I did well, but I made a really stupid mistake that put me behind. I chose Snake, my second main next to Meta Knight, the obvious, and I was P2 and fought on Final Destination. But, being P2 made me think I would spawn on the left side off the field, and I accidentally ended up running off and dying because my Cypher activated too late. If it wasn't for that, I probably would have won, as I was probably doing to best out of my group for that round. XD

So, yeah. I've been in a very good mood lately, and my hope has been going up a lot for things. Still getting very frustrated with my art at times, but I've learned to take a bit more confidence into my work. Expect me to be shelling things out a lot quicker this summer

After seeing all the different Deviant IDs out there, I've come up with the idea of OBJECTION ID, for those Phoenix Wright Fans out there.

Basically, it's really simple. You can can choose from 2-3 options, and each has a certain requirement.

Lawyer: (Prosecutor or Defense Attorney)
Basically, you just choose between the two types of lawyers for this one. You'd draw yourself or your avatar as a lawyer, with the actual character art in the front, with you objection pose in the back, along with your super-dramatic objection face close-up as well. The last two should be done in the style of the game, but don't have to be sprites.

Witness:
Basically the same as the lawyer, but instead of the last two things, you make a pose of your choice along with your nervous/breakdown pose too.

So, what do you think? Should I actually do this, and see if it catches on, or just make one for the hell of it?

My family and I went to Florida for spring break, and it was quite awesome. My grandparents live down there, so we get to visit them every spring. It was a lot of fun. We rented a boat one day, and rode around the bay. We saw quite a few dolphins that day. We also rented out a condo in this little place called Siesta Key, which has some of the cleanest beaches I've ever seen. I drew a large GameBoy in the sand out of sheer boredom once. I'll post that pic later.

The best part of the trip was the fact that I got to tour Ringling School of Art + Design. It was incredible. I'd definitely love to go there if I could. The programs and classes there are top-notch.

So, yeah. I got Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations, finally. Very awesome. Much improved from the second, but not as good a the first. Godot is officially badass.

So, yeah. Also, many thanks to Mai-Ekaki for getting me Photoshop. I might actually be able to put some more stuff on here. That, and I'm starting to get my inspiration back.

I have so much to say about it. Except I can't. It's perfection is immeasurable.

Meta Knight and Snake are everything I hoped that they'd be. The stages are incredible, the music is amazing, and there's just so much depth to it. I could literally go on for hours about how awesome it is. I'll definitely be hosting a Brawl party for all of my friends soon.

I'll be putting my friend code up soon. That is, once I can find out what it is. <_<

So, I finally finished Death Note, which had an incredible ending. Very epic. I also think Near is now one of my favorite characters along with L and Ryuk.

I also finished FLCL, which I also enjoyed. I was disappointed with how short it was, but it was still very entertaining.

I really haven't been in the happiest of moods lately, so I apologize to all of you for acting slightly emo at times. I guess I can only hope for some better days to come soon.

I also apologize for not submitting as much art lately, I've had a bit of an artist's block. However, I'm almost done with my Meta Knight picture, and have several already planned out for the future.

Well, not much to say. I've been currently working on a few projects, one being another Meta Knight pic, one a Bioshock tribute, and one for the Nightmare Before Christmas. But enough about that.

I'm really trying to bring my grades up this semester, too. Not that my last semester grades were bad, it was just the could be better with a bit more effort.

Emotionally speaking, I've been alright lately. For some reason, I've been stuck in a kind of a bleh mood lately. Not that thins are bad, I just feel that way for some reason.

Also, I saw Cloverfield not too long ago, and was pleasantly surprised. It was very simple, yet entertaining.

Also, major note here. Super Mario Galaxy has consumed my soul. If you own a Wii, get it as soon as possible. It is sheer gaming bliss. One thing I love about it is the orchestrated soundtrack, which is incredible. Also, the Bowser fights are way more epic. They even have a male Latin chorus for the really epic parts, which is awesome.

Alright, another major topic jump. I've been trying to get back into anime some more, and need some recommendations for series. I've been following the dub for Death Note so far, and love it. Ryuk and L are probably my favorite characters, because they're badass. Enough said. Some of the shows I've been recommended are Helsing and FLCL.

So, opinions?

I've been in a surprising good mood this past week or so. I'd like to elaborate on that a bit more, but I'm lazy.

I just got Bioshock about 2 weeks ago, and I just beat it about a week ago. It is by far, one of the greatest games I have ever played. The gameplay is phenomenal, and the story and writing is mind-blowing. It's honestly movie material all by itself, with no changes necessary. If you have a 360, I strongly recommend it.

I just got Halo 3 yesterday, and I have to admit, it's surprising better than what I expected. I mean, it's not the absolute perfect game, but it's still an amazing game.

So, I've gotten Mai-Ekaki, for those who know her in real life, completely hooked on Phoenix Wright. I'm sure she can tell you all about that.

Another thing, I decided to give anime another chance, and found great enjoyment in Death Note. I've been slowly following the dub on adultswim.com, so please, don't spoil anything for me.

Well, with that I must be off. I should be updating my journal more often now, and expect me to put work up more frequently, as I have a lot of stuff to keep me busy over these next few months.

I personally can't wait for Brawl and Halo. I also rented Super Paper Mario, and was pleasantly surprised by it. I got pretty far in it, to the start of World 7, I believe. I really want to finish it, but I'm not sure whether to rent it again or just buy it.

So, yeah. I have some saving up to do. Since I can't caddy during the Fall and Winter, I'm thinking about taking a job at the theater by where I live or Oberweis. I know that the theater hires at 15, but I'm not sure about the other.

Oh, I almost forgot. My younger brother just bought Mario Strikers: Charged the other day. It's actually pretty good. Much better than some of the other Mario spinoffs, but still not as good as Mario Kart.
I'd reccomend it. I also beat The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap the other day as well. Great game. I'd highly reccomend it if you need a good game for your DS or GBA.

On a side note, I just got Gears of War for my 360 a few days ago. I've become addicted to it now. Why didn't anyone tell me how awesome it is?I just love using the Lancer chainsaw. the blood and gore from it is beautiful in a twisted way.

I also got Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin on the same day, and I beat it last night. I'm pleasantly surprised with it, as it was my first time playing a Castlevania game. I'm thinking about getting the one that's up on the Wii's Virtual Console.

So yeah, I'm doing a picture of the Gamefaqs SSBB Board. I should have it up Wednesday or so. I'm not going to say everbody who's in it, but so far I've completed myself, IngSlayer, and Olimarx (Duprav).

I've also got a crapload of other projects that I should finish. I draw new pictures so much faster than I can finish old ones in photoshop. It's like a never-ending cycle.

*SPOILERS*





It seems a little rushed in the beginning, and a little out of place. Peter fights Harry pretty early on in the movie, and conveniently loses his memory in the hospital after the battle. Pete's relationship with MJ is getting very rocky, and MJ starts to turn to Harry. When Pete finds the Black Suit, he immeadiatley sets out for revenge against Sandman. They fight, and Sandman is supposedly killed by being turned into mud. Pete becomes a total jerk afterwards, and it's pretty funny to see his bizarre antics. Pete and Harry fight in Harry's house after Harry gets back his memory, and an explosion badly scars Harry's face. Pete accidentally hits MJ in a fight at a jazz club, and tries to get rid of the suit at the church, in which Eddie Brock conveniently happens to be at, and he becomes Venom.

At this point in the movie, Venom completely redeems anything bad about the movie. Literally. Just watching him is amazing.

Venom and Sandman team up, capturing MJ and holding her at an 80-story construction site. Pete asks Harry for help, and Harry refuses. Pete goes off to fight the two villains, and gets owned by the combo. Just when Pete's about to die, Harry comes in and helps, learning the truth about his father's death. Harry sacrifices himself to save Pete, and Venom is killed by one of Harry's bombs, thrown by Pete. Sandman, Harry, and Pete all make up, Harry dies, and MJ gets back together with Peter.

One of my main problems is that they didn't develop the Sandman's character enough. That, and Venom got very little screen time. Only about 30 minutes total. But it still is sweet to see him in action. Also, it seemed as if they tried to cram too much into too short of a time frame. The movie's only about 2 hours and 20 minutes, and too much goes on for only that. But all in all, it's still an excellent movie.

I'd say that it's better than the first, but not as good as the second. I strongly reccomend seeing it, though.

3/4 stars.

Now I'm currently waiting for Pirates 3 and Transformers.
